Wow, that is insane.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
That is huge. That is unbelievable. You know I could
double this for you. Okay, it's Santa Anita tonight though
this weekend, the twenty six, they open up. Okay, coming up, Yeah,
let's do it. I mean, look if we if we
lost it all, it would be an interesting story.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
We have to do a big trouble.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah, and tule I would too, okay, both, but I
could we double it though? His kid took of eating steak.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Lo steak yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
On the side, I was I.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Was saying before you got here to Chef Bruno that
this is amazing to watch this charity become part of
the community, to get so much momentum through the years
and to just.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
It really for you. It has to be a remarkable thing.
Speaker 6 (03:00):
And I'll just a lot of social media right now
for OK five. You know my music behind we have
family of all.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
The Pointer system.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
So that is what I feel with K five is nothing,
nothing lighter, that's really true. I feel like it's a
family when I see all the people there. People call
it donated, all the Ulsters, all the producers behind as
a family, and it's beautiful to see the love then
I get from people. Let me tell you a story.
(03:30):
Two months ago, I was in Italy. I went to
see my family for a few weeks vacations. I'm the
Italian app and Dolomites, you know, very close to Austria,
and I was having cotie outside before dinner with my
three brother We talked and doing the conversation. I say,
Untilton Beach and it was a nice couple not too
(03:51):
far away from that table. The gentleman stand up and
say are you from California? I heard Aneaton Beach. I said, yes,
even a beach. Well, we are from Newport Beach. As
how cool it is the only away thousands of miles
and obviously I stand up to introduce myself. I say, well,
my name is Bruno. That's it, right, I meany Brunos
(04:14):
of the world. A lot the wife jump off the shell.
She said, okay, five, okay, right, not to be my brother, look.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
At me sic No to finish for dinner in the.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Place and the way there, that's wonder, that's unbelievable. They
and then you're in the same you know, part of
the Alps in Italy.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, that'll be wild.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
The Olympic is going to be there soon.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
You have but to Cotina.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
Oh, I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
It's all.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
One of the best place.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
A lot of conways stories with you know, I'm shitting
with my brothers in the Dolomite.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Yeah, beautyful.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
I mean, anybody you love to ski, go to the
Dolomite and talk about K five because everybody knows me now.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
And the Dolmite that's northern Italy.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Yeah, that's the one of the border with Austria.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Oh okay, all right, and you ski watch your skime
you watch that, said, yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
Because it would be an avalanche if it.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Ski I'm with you, man, I don't. I don't. You
know the problem with skiing is everything is fifty dollars.
That is true, you know, I read fifty dollars, polls,
fifty dollars, chapstick fifty dollars. Everything's fifty.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
That's the reason my brother to ask if I can
go with them?
Speaker 2 (05:40):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, me and.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Ski is still away for one reason. Sister was young
as a waiter, as a busboy. My legs is my
walk is my life, said, The last he going to
do is to break my legs. Is key.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
You know.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
It's still away from dangerous things of my legs.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yes, the reason I didn't even have that excuse, I'm
sitting for a living. I still hate it. I can't stay.
When you ski, you're either sweating your ass off or
you're freezing your ass off.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
I was easy, that's it.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Those are the only two ways you can, you.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Know, ski, but you ski?
Speaker 7 (06:11):
Right?
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah? I love skiing.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Actually yeah, se pretentious.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Got it?
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Well, that's that's another reason I love it.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Do you do look down or does snowboarders look down
on skiers? Still, there's two different there.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
You're right, though, there's a they have to coexist. And
I remember when snowboarding was first coming in and there
was just like because they just come, you know, sliding
past you at a insane rate. It's like like drag
racers coming past a you know, a a morning commute,
I mean, and they call, yeah, where's my Jeff, my
drag drag racer over there. But the reality is that
(06:46):
they've now I think, reached a.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Kind of relationship survived again. Yeah, all right, so Bruno
a lot of money raised here. Again, the totals so
far for the seven o'clock hour, seven hundred and thirty
five and eighty dollars in cass and ninety two thousand,
four hundred and six pounds of pasta and sauce. How
(07:09):
many kids are fed with one pound of pasta? I
get you at least five five with one pound of pasta? Wow,
I gotta get you over the house my wife up, yeah,
I mean. And then for every dollar it was donated,
and again we're at seven hundred and thirty five thousand
and change for every dollar that's a.
Speaker 6 (07:30):
Meal, seven hundred and five thousand kits. Yeah, that is
the one account usually because you have to expense behind
the meal one dollar per kits.
Speaker 4 (07:39):
That's costs.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
Do you have anybody I know you have a big garage,
big shed where you keep all the all the sauce.
We have two of them store.
Speaker 6 (07:48):
We have storage room here for people they live in
like today they if we have one like a two
miles away from here, which is usual big storage room.
Because this week alone we have the chick or deliver.
It's fifteen of your ki. I mean, I don't have
the space here for fifteen pallets and that is used
and today people come or day deliver.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
It is it is it air conditioned.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
It's cooling after that. You don't need that you needed to.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
But but when you have you know that much pasta?
Is there somebody looking for expiation dates on the songs
you do?
Speaker 6 (08:23):
But not honestly you do as you know. I talked
to Bila, the chic of big company. When you have
an expiration pasta at your own house, let's say go
on for six months, you have no problem?
Speaker 4 (08:34):
Really?
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, okay, I got to talk to my wife about She.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
Told them on the garage.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Things get thrown out a week before they expire.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
Now past it is stay a long time.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yeah, I can have I can hang around for a
long one.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
A long long time. It's like olive oil.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
Tuple ladies came two weeks ago, she said, my only
world Inspires said, don't worry, eagle to use it before
it is bad, right, because only worsted.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
They also for you, ever, just say shut the hell
up and eat it.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
I said that.
Speaker 6 (09:04):
After she left, I just got it. She was a
nice Italian lady.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
What do you eat?
Speaker 1 (09:10):
What is your favorite?
Speaker 4 (09:12):
Right now?
Speaker 6 (09:12):
I'm big on fish for well as lata pasta and uh,
you know you change your ballet bright now. I love
a cod fish I have on my menu. I have
a white fish with panach on tap cod fish as
a little soy sauce on top, which excellent. But I
can eat everything. Like two weeks ago. At the Elk,
(09:35):
we have elk. Not too many people does. We've been
doing this and a great success. People come for help,
but don't know the over medium.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
It is tough.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
They have vegan, they have vegan option chair.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Do you have vegan elk.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
The big very cool. A couple of people said, they're ordering.
Speaker 6 (09:56):
But if you look at the cholesterol, everything on elk
number one better than any meat on the Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
There you go jump back.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
But but but Elk only eat vegetables and grass. When
you look at so they're vegetarian.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yeah, I'll add you is eliminate the metal man military.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
Yeah yeah, I was surprised. I didn't google myself. I
don't know I'd be proud of your cholesterol. When I
look at the hell, I was like, wow, Venison too
is not the IDEM but the Elka tickets between the Venison.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Do you serve ELK here?
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (10:31):
We do special the last month, almost once a week
because you have a lot of request here.
Speaker 2 (10:36):

it is.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
This is a celebrity that you probably will know, maybe
by name, maybe more his nickname. But he's been in
the news for the last time, I know six months
or so. He went through a crazy divorce, he went bankrupt,
he stole money, you know as well, been on the
(12:17):
been on the lamb for a while, man. And he's
going to reintroduce himself to so side.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
He didn't write this introduction.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
I don't think he did not know.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
No.
Speaker 1 (12:25):

looked better.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Yes, Steph, che lady said, gentle.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Booch, the call is out. WHOA what are you? You had
some fool?
Speaker 1 (13:15):

a break.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
We'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Steph foo shit, you look fan, You look better now
than you did before your car accident.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
That's what I've been, That's what i've been.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
Yeah, so this car accident was very good to you,
I guess.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
So that's what I mean.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
That's that arm you you should have lost that arm.
They were going to amputate that arm. Isn't that true?
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Yep?
Speaker 9 (13:40):
They I and the last on the last appointment, they said, yeah,
it was going to be amputated.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
But they worked really hard to save it.
Speaker 9 (13:50):
So I'm really happy to Steph.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Wood's unbelievable. When so, tell us real quickly, in your
own words, what that crazy day was like? You know what,
do you remember any of it or all of it?
Speaker 9 (14:12):
I remember, just I told my friend, I remember getting
in the ambulance and not realizing that my entire you
could see inside of my arm, but that was insane
and I didn't feel anything, and then you know they
had to you know, put me in the back of
it and everything, and I was ready to go, and
(14:33):
I was like, oh wow, I've never been in an
ambulance before, so.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
I was kind of just like, wow, this is crazy.
Speaker 9 (14:39):
And you know, they put the IV in and got
it going, and next thing I know, you know, I
was waking up and I see you.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
But it was just outrageous.
Speaker 9 (14:49):
How I you know, those people saved me, like they
I mean, if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be
here right now.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
That's right, all right? When if anybody wants to shake
his hand, come on up. We have two of the
heroes that saved this man's life. Are gonna come after.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
Where are they?
Speaker 1 (15:17):
After this commercial break? We're gonna meet both of those guys.
We're live and then I'm the Foods is back.
Speaker 8 (15:26):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Wrapping up here with the Man of the Hour, step
Foo oh Man.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
I was telling Staboosh, you know, he's just come out
of this long hospital stay, but he's never looked better.
I think there must be a stylist at the hospital
and maybe a play.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
You got your product in your hair. You look great.
Speaker 9 (15:51):
I mean, my god, well, I mean you know, that's
what you get when you're at the county.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
I have a ten dollars bet with Mark Thompson and
I gotta ask you one question. Did you cut your
own hair?
Speaker 2 (16:09):
I did not. I lost. Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
God, I always lose these bets.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Bunny, you are.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
I can't believe that arm, that you nearly lost that arm.
And you're gonna be back a week from today, Yes,
and I will be back.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Yeah, that's just awesome.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
So a week from today if you hear you know,
dead air or yeah, exactly, commercials not being played at
the right time or this man. But you are left handed,
so you're gonna did you have to learn to do
everything right handed? Eat and everything?
Speaker 2 (16:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (16:46):
That took a while.
Speaker 9 (16:47):
It was it was really difficult to try to do everything.
But I was telling people that you know, you can't
see it. This is for you know, visual, but I
couldn't even grip. And now I can do this. This
is where I was.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
So and you're gonna get better and better and better exactly.
Speaker 9 (17:02):
That's what the surgeon said, she was just she was
astounded by the how I am, like, she couldn't believe it,
And I'm like, if that's coming from someone who's seen thousands.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Of these, that's that. Let's get the hospital a shout out.
Who did all the work for you?
Speaker 4 (17:17):
U C l A.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Harbor County. Yes you can't hear this, but every time
he claps, he says out.
Speaker 9 (17:32):
The best nurses, best surgeons. I mean, they were so
helpful with everything. They made sure to tell me everything
that's going to be done, you know, before surgery, after
the surgery, they you know, preempted me on everything that's
going to be done.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
So I'm really thankful for them. How long we were
in the hospital one month? Wow.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
She was such a law.
Speaker 9 (17:51):
It was to the point where nurses would come in
on the night shift and they would because they had
to change the the IV bag and they come in
and they.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Go, you're still here.
Speaker 9 (18:02):
I was like, yeah, so here, So you know that's
that's that shows how long I had to be.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, but it's also you know, they were shocked that
you were there that long because you were doing so well. Yeah,
you know that's the way I took it. We do
have the the two guys or two of the four
people that saved his life. They're in the audience. Where
is Kenyati is right here?
Speaker 7 (18:26):
Wow?
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Oh yes? Wow?
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Is this the first time? I think it's the first
time they're meeting.
Speaker 7 (18:44):
This is the first time you've met any of these people.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
We also had Paul Raino's with us. He also says, your.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Life a pretty great Wow.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
That is These are the real These guys are the
real deal, man, unbelievable. All right, let's ask guy Kenyati here,
what did you what did you feel like when you
first saw him? Look, look, he looks different. He cut
his hair long at the time, and he was on fire. Right. Yeah,
(19:25):
but man, I can't thank you guys enough. Without you guys,
he wouldn't be here. Seriously, damn. I mean, you guys
deserve it all the praise in the world.
Speaker 7 (19:32):
It's got to be an amazing feeling for you guys
to be a part of something like that and to
know that, you know, in that moment, you guys acted,
You did what it took when a lot of people did.
It's an amazing thing. Congratulations you guys, Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
And Paul Rafino's with us as well. One of the
guys that drove by and didn't stay in his car
and drive off and and uh, you know, and enjoy
his life. Stop and save this man. Save this man's life. Paul.
We can't thank you enough too. Man, You're unbelievable. I
(20:13):
did notice though, when you said hi to Steph Fush
for the first time, you did what NFL coaches do.
You covered your mouth and whispered something.
Speaker 10 (20:22):
But it was an emotional I left the very emotional
and not worry, you know, worrying about what was going to.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Happen a moment.
Speaker 10 (20:33):
At first, as I told you, I had no idea
that Steph was gonna even survive this, you know. And
then we talked briefly and says he's gonna lose his arm.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
There's no way.
Speaker 11 (20:46):
The real hero, that guy right there, you know, and
those doctors, those doctors, whatever they did.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Yeah, that's a miracle, I mean.
Speaker 9 (20:59):
And when we heard your telling, the telling of it,
it actually made my mom and dad both really emotional
because they were so scared that the way you told
it was that I wasn't gonna make it even after
I got into the ambulance.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
So I said, and we have something for you. We
know you don't have a dog, but is any of
the dog.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Bed that's really touching.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
In someplace to rest that arm every night? Yeah, your
own arm bed, but that is also we like to
thank kt LA out here tonight. And nobody in I
in l A covered it like KTLA where they came
(21:52):
out and they were on it the entire time. We
would never have found these two gentlemen if it wasn't
for KFI. How about that? Yeah, so can you out
and Paul, thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (22:06):
Man.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
You guys are the absolute best. You guys are the
real deal, and we would have never found you it
wasn't for KTLA, And this man wouldn't be sitting here
today if it wasn't for you too, you guys, it
wouldn't happen.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Really great.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
You know when when the highway patrol pulled up after
after Steph Bush was already pulled out of the car,
they thought that they were going to have to deal
with a fatality, and I believe they wrote down that
the person in the car had passed away, and so
they this this could have ended in a million different
(22:45):
horrible ways, and it ended with him getting keeping his
arm and being able to use it again, which is unbelievable.
Uh at u c l a harbor for them to,
you know, spend that much time in helping you like
that is incredible. And you know, let's not.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
Forget that that he went into the hospital as an
unidentified person. Yes, everything had burned up, and that's because
you that we found out where he was, who he
was the next day and going driving all the way
down to his dad's place.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Well again, I thought it was closer to the hustitlor Casino,
it's not.
Speaker 7 (23:20):
And Sharon doing.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Her humping in the middle of the night trying to
figure out where he was.
Speaker 7 (23:24):
She did all that work to find him as well.
