to have assassinated Charlie Kirk running across the rooftop, jumping
off it, and running away at Utah Valley University.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Thousands of tips have been called in.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Pictures of the suspected killer have been released, but authorities
have not made any arrests yet. We'll get to the
latest with ABC's Crime and terror analyst Brad Garrett.
Speaker 3 (01:28):

Speaker 1 (01:29):
People have been arrested in La and a big cargo
theft bust. The La Keunty Sheriff's Department says deputies served

Coming up this hour on Wake Up Call.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
You know you never get a second chance to make
a first impression our house. Whisper of Dean Sharp's going
to join us to tell us about the importance of
an introduction to your house.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Neal makes sense of it. The theaters are alive with
the sound of music.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
ABC's Will Gans that just perked up. Will's Will Colschreiber's ears.
ABC's Will Gans is going to join us with what's
new on the big screen and also on the stream.
Let's get started with some of the stories coming out
of the KFI twenty four hour newsroom. A one hundred
thousand dollars reward has been offered for information that leads
to the arrest of the person who murdered conservative activist
(02:49):
Charlie Kirk.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Despite thousands of tips to an FBI hotline, no one
has been arrested yet. In Charlie Kirk's murder, new video
released Thursday night shows the gunman jumping off a rooftop
and away from the Utah Valley University campus where Kirk
had been speaking.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Kfi's Rory O'Neil says the body of the Turning Point
founder was slown back to Arizona board Air Force two
last night along with Vice President JD.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Vance. Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
LA Mayor Bass says she's clearing the way for more
LAPD officers to be hired.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
The mayor says too much bureaucracy has slowed down the
department's hiring. There are eighty seven hundred sworn laped officers
far below with the department's leadership as seid is needed.
Bass says she's creating an LPD Hiring division within the
city's Personnel Department. It'll be focused solely on getting officers hired.
She says she wants nine thousand officers soon. The LPED
has said it's been getting a record number of applications,
(03:43):
but a slow hiring process and a lot of unqualified
candidates has left the department below its goals. Michael Monks
KFI News.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
A thirty nine year old man has pleaded not guilty
to a federal arson charge for allegedly tossing a burning
bundle from an overpass onto a Parkeda cruiser on the
one to one freeway during anti ice protests that happened
back in June. Prosecutor say Adam Palermo bragged about what
he did on social media. A child in the LA
area has died of complications from a measles infection.
Speaker 6 (04:14):
The child originally recovered from the initial measles infection, but
then died from a complication from the measles, which is
rare but always fatal. It's caused from an abnormal immune
response to the measles it leads to brain inflammation.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
ABC's Alex Stone says the child was not eligible to
get a measles vaccine because they were under the age
of one when they became infected.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Ala Conata.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Flint Ridge man has captured a bobcat on video roaming
around in his backyard near NASA's jet propulsion lab. His
dog Oreo apparently sounded the alarm before the wild cot
was seen on video. The cat paused, took a look
back at the home owner, and wandered off. Wildlife officials
say bobcats are pretty common in California, usually pretty sit
(05:00):
but they can threaten pets and small livestock. It's five
oh six on your Friday morning wake up call, and
I want to just let you know that President Trump
is on Fox and Friends right now on the Fox
News channel, and the chy run across the screen is
that they have a suspect in custody in the murder
(05:20):
of Charlie Kirk, where we know that they're going to
be holding a news conference in about forty five minutes
fifty minutes and they're gonna hopefully tell us more about that.
But apparently President Trump says there is a suspect in
custody in the murder assassination of Charlie Kirk. Let's say
good morning now to Brad Garrett, ABC's crime and Terror analyst.
(05:43):
Brad Any big surprise with that that they say they've
got somebody.
Speaker 7 (05:49):
No, I mean, they really had pretty good photos of him,
And it's just, you know, the act itself, Amy is
is heinous enough that maybe even people who like or
care for him could have well dimmed him out, you know.
So it's you know, typically people who commit these kind
of acts, you know, didn't travel three states away to
(06:11):
do it. Maybe he did, but I doubt it. So
that sort of lends itself if he's from somebody you know,
around this part of Utah. But you know, when these
are such high risk attacks that your odds you know,
are getting caught either at the scene or shortly there after,
(06:31):
are high. It's just that because you know, when you
have a sniper situation, you're not sure where the shops
coming from. You don't have the luxury of the Secret Service,
who have people on rooftops that can immediately look at
the rooftops. So the short answer is he got a
lead on them, and it took them, you know, literally
hours to go through CCTV till they probably figured out,
(06:54):
oh here's our guy, well, who knows where he is
at that point apparently dumped the weapon and off he went.
So you know, that's an advantage for him, but obviously,
according to what you just said, not a big enough advantage.
Speaker 8 (07:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Okay, So Brad, I have questions about this because you know,
I mean, like it's like you said, he he carries
this out, he dumps the weapon, makes his way off,
and there's so many questions on this, like do people
like this they're they're obviously fixated on killing somebody. Do
they not know and have that awareness that there are
(07:34):
cameras everywhere?
Speaker 9 (07:37):
Maybe?
Speaker 7 (07:37):
Maybe not? So you have to behaviorally, you have to
differentiate this shooter from a mass shooter who has an anger,
revenge whatever. And I'm not saying this guy doesn't that anger, regrans,
et cetera. But it's really only focused on Charlie. It's
not really focused on trying to hurt their people. And
(08:02):
so he went there to do sadly what he successfully did,
and you know what he think about cameras, Maybe maybe not.
You know, he may well have thought that he wouldn't
survive that they would catch him immediately because most people
sniper's a little bit different, but certainly mass shooters, it's
(08:24):
a suicide mission. So who knows if I'd he thought
through that. Obviously he didn't think thoroughly through it, because
they got pictures of him coming down a stairwell or
up the Stowe stairwell, and obviously we see now him
running across the roof and jumping off and headed out
right and.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
He didn't have a face covering on. He had sunglasses on,
but he didn't have his face covered. I mean, there
just seems the guy was obviously a good shot because
it just took one which and from two hundred yarde
I would think that you would have to have a
lot of practice to be at that proficiency. But it's like,
(09:01):
do you think through this or maybe it's just that
rage is there and you don't. You're just like so
fixated on this is what I got to do that
you don't think about.
Speaker 7 (09:09):
Well.
Speaker 8 (09:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (09:10):
The difference between this type of shooter, the sniper type
shot and mass shooters that you and I sadly have
to talk about too much is that there is a
precision and you know, a large part of shooting from
a distance like that is something steady like a tripath
pot or something to rest or weapon on. But more importantly,
(09:33):
there's a whole breeding way that you accurately breathe so
you don't throw the shot off. I mean, did he
just get lucky with one shot?
Speaker 10 (09:43):
Well?
Speaker 7 (09:43):
No more at some point maybe, but it takes a
different type of planning, obviously high risk. The reason I
think you didn't have a mask on any is that
he's trying to blend in now, jumping off the roof
of the bag. If somebody actually saw that, then you
have that whole issue. But anyway, I think you know
(10:07):
that's sort of a profile of him and kind of
where we are at this point.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Yeah, and then the other question I have is why
would he just dump the weapon unless he was like,
like you said, maybe he didn't think he would get away,
but all of a sudden he's run off and he's like,
I didn't think of where I was going to get
rid of the weapon.
Speaker 7 (10:27):
Right, So I think the idea there is that he
wanted to quickly blend in as quick as he could.
There was really no place to drop it unless it
would be so obvious if you look at the grassy area.
Then he runs off. Then I'm going to assume they
don't what the police are saying, that this wooded area
is just right there, you know, within the yards or
(10:49):
feet of where we last see him running across the
grass and obviously carrying a weapon around. If in fact
the police are on your trails, the last thing you want,
so again immediately thinking I've got to dump this, but secondly,
you know, I got to blend in yeah and not
thinking oh, if I dropped the weapon, then they'll get it,
(11:11):
then all process it. Then we'll figure out who I am.
You know, he's in the panic mud because he's you know, folks,
this is not some professional hire to come do this.
This is clearly somebody with an agenda, and we'll soon
know that.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
All right, IBYCS Brad Garrett, thanks for the information. As always,
I wish we got to talk about more fun things,
but we always get to talk about these awful things.
Speaker 7 (11:34):
No worries. Take care see Amy.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
As we just mentioned, President Trump is saying on Fox
this morning that they have the suspect in custody. Now
CNN is saying in quotes that the President said, I
think we have him We're going to find out more.
There's going to be a press conference at six o'clock.
We'll bring that to you live right here on KFI
and four sets in relation to the assassination of conservative
(12:01):
activists Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed on the
campus of Utah Valley University a one hundred year we
already did that story. US Naval Academy midshipman has been
shot by security forces during a lockdown in Annapolis. Officials
say campus security was clearing a building after threats were made.
(12:22):
Mary Jane Graham used to teach at the academy. She
lives nearby.
Speaker 11 (12:25):
I've been living here for fifteen years.
Speaker 7 (12:27):
I've never seen anything like it in my life.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Emergency vehicle after emergency, vicleft emergency, one after the other,
after the other.
Speaker 11 (12:34):
I don't know more than twenty.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
The academy says the lockdown was done out of an
abundance of caution, and later said that there never was
an active shooter on the campus. Several historically black colleges
and universities have been placed on lockdown because of a
series of threats.
Speaker 8 (12:51):
The FBI has released a statement.
Speaker 12 (12:53):
It does say that the FBI takes these threats very
seriously because it puts innocent people at risk. While we
have no information to indicate a credible threat, we will
continue to work with our local, state, and federal law
enforcement partners to gather, share, and act upon threat information
as it comes to our attention.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
ABC's Alex Perchet reports the campuses include Alabama State, Hampton,
Virginia State, and others. A federal judge in Florida has
stopped the opening statement of a man accused of trying
to assassinate President Trump.
Speaker 13 (13:26):
For his opening statement, Ryan Ruth launched into a bizarre
speech about the origin of the human species, global conflicts,
and his political grievances. Representing himself in court, Ruth was
able to speak for about six minutes before Judge Eileen
Canham cut him off, saying his arguments had absolutely nothing
to do with the evidence in the case.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
ABC's Peter Harrlumbo's reports that prosecutors have argued Ruth meticulously
planned to assassinate Donald Trump on a golf course in Florida,
but a Secret Service agent foiled the plan when he
spotted Ruth's rifle. Investigators are looking to the a reserved
to cut interest rates at its next meeting next week.
Following the latest inflation report, the Bureau of Labor Statistics
(14:07):
says food prices jumped zero point six percent between July
and August, for the biggest monthly increased since August of
twenty twenty two. The economists are pointing to a number
of factors driving this, a shortage of farmers, those tariffs,
and even bad weather. ABC's Rebecca Jarvis says they are
now two point seven percent higher than a year ago.
(14:28):
Two people have been killed in a helicopter crash in Pennsylvania.
The copter went down in Carbon County around three o'clock yesterday,
killing the pilot and an electrical contractor on board. Officials
say the contractor was doing some work from the helicopter
at the time of the crash. More than fifty thousand
burrito meals sold at Target are being recalled. The frozen
(14:50):
burritos could contain shrimp, which is not on the label.
That's a serious risk for people with shellfish allergies.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
The Good and.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Gather Southwestile Burrito BOWLB was sold at Target stores nationwide
starting in April. President Trump says, in his words, with
a high degree of certainty, the suspect in Charlie Kirk's
assassination has been caught his comments on Fox News this morning.
Federal investigators had released video and pictures of the guy
they were looking for yesterday said more than seven thousand
(15:19):
tips had poured in. A press conference has scheduled for
six am hour time. We're going to bring that to
you live right here on KFI. Charlie Kirk's body has
been returned to Phoenix from Utah. The family arrived with
the casket aboard Air Force two last night, accompanied by
Vice President Vance. Vance was a close friend of Kirk's
and canceled his appearance at the nine to eleven ceremony
(15:40):
in Manhattan to be with Kirk's family. Pasadena Public Health
Department says the chance of getting rabies is low, but
residents should be careful because a Rabi's infected bat has
been found in the city. They're advising you not to
touch any bats you may come across, but instead call
Pasadena Humane.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Let's say good.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Morning now to the host of home right here on KFI.
It's a very own Dean Sharp our house whisper morning, Dean.
Speaker 14 (16:05):
Good morning. Don't touch bats. That's not going to be
a toughie for me.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
I know, right, I don't think that I would. Well,
I have a story, but that's a whole other thing.
It has to do with my cat who captured a bat.
I brought it into the house.
Speaker 14 (16:19):
See that can be a thing.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Yeah, but anyway, we got it out.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
So speaking of your house, since that's what you talk about,
you know, you never get a second chance to make
a first impression, and so the.
Speaker 3 (16:31):
Introduction to your house is a very important thing.
Speaker 14 (16:34):
It's true, and people always scratching their heads what do
you mean by introduction spaces? There are in a typical
home at least four or five spaces that we think
about from a design perspective in terms of introductions. They're
kind of transitional spaces. You got your pathway to the
front door from the curb. You've got the foyer, your
(16:58):
entryway right inside the front door. You've got hallways leading
down from your main spaces to bedrooms. You've got a
stairway if you've got two story house, and you've got
pathways out into the rear yard. All of those their
primary job from a design perspective is to get you
ready to make a great introduction to what's about to happen.
(17:22):
And unfortunately, if you don't realize that that's their job,
then you don't hold them to it and they don't
do it well. And that can make a huge difference
in your house. And these are areas that just need
a little bit of attention as opposed to like a
major remodeling, and it's something that warms up and sets
(17:42):
up every other great space in your house when you
get it right.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
So that's what I was going to ask you.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Are we only talk about new homes or what if
you already have a home and you need to kind
of make some modifications to make it more inviting and
make that great first impression and make it feel m.
Speaker 14 (18:00):
Yeah, that's the thing, especially if you've got an existing
home and it's time to you know, juzh it up
a bit. The pathway to the front door, for instance.
You know, we're not talking about curb appeal. This is
different than curb appeal. Curb appeal is what the house
looks like when you're you know, standing in the street,
when you first get out of your car, when you
first walk up to the house, but when you take
(18:22):
that first step onto the property on your way to
the front door, the path that you take. Okay, that
is the introduction to the house. Now we have an
opportunity to start communicating things subtly to people as they
approach the front door. It is very much an introduction.
So the question is what kind of experience are they happening?
(18:45):
Are you making them, for instance, walk up the driveway? Okay,
probably fifty percent of the houses in southern California are
set up so that you have to walk up the
driveway in order to get to the front door. And
if you're looking to spend a little bit of remodeling
money out in the front yard, I am always always
an advocate of let's separate the entry path from the
(19:08):
drive because the driveway is a utility area. Okay, that's
for the servants, and so I always put it that way.
That's for the servants. Don't make your guests walk up
the driveway as if they're walking into the back of
the house somewhere. Let them have an experience from the
(19:29):
curb all the way to the front door. It changes
the way people feel about the home.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
I love that, okay.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
And then once you walk inside, when you take those
first steps in, what are some things to consider?
Speaker 14 (19:42):
Well, that entryway or what we call the foyer, the
little entryway Number one, Do you have one at all?
If you live in a townhouse or a condo, you
may not have much of one. Small or older homes
don't have much of one. And we want to do
everything we can just to create one, even if it's
just changing the pattern in the flooring so that there's
a little bit of a pause, so there's a sense that, oh,
(20:04):
this space is different than everything else. People don't really
think about this, but you know, we all enjoy kind
of emotional airlocks when we walk into a home. Nobody
wants to walk straight from the outside to oh, now
I'm in your living room. There is that nice Okay,
I've walked in through the door, but i haven't really
entered the main house yet because I'm in the entryway.
(20:28):
That's very emotionally comfortable. And the entryway has a lot
of things to say, and it can be messed up,
and usually is if you have a low ceiling, you
shouldn't have a hanging fixture in the entryway because it's
kind of hanging down right in your face.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Us that I think of the tall people skimming their
heads on it.
Speaker 14 (20:47):
Yeah, So I'm six'. THREE i can reach an eight foot,
ceiling you, know with the tips of my, Fingers and
SO i always tell, owners, listen if you have just
an eight foot ceiling walking in your, entryway don't have
even a ceiling. Mountain don't have anything coming down lower
than that. Ceiling that's the place to put a recess
can light to light that. Up don't put a chandelier
hanging down in. There don't make me feel LIKE i
(21:08):
have to walk in your house and start to walk
around something or duck under something in order to make
it the rest of the way. In and it's tips
like that that really are, subtle but change the, game all, Right.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Just a couple of great, tips and you're going to
be talking about all of the rest of.
Speaker 3 (21:26):
It AND i love.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
That we don't only have to deal with new, things
but you can take things that are old and make
them just.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
A little bit.
Speaker 14 (21:32):
Better absolutely.

Up what's going?
Speaker 17 (26:14):
On, yes on the, Airlines delta And American, airlines they
say that they are dramatically expanding their premium.
Speaker 11 (26:22):
Offerings delta says.
Speaker 17 (26:24):
They're going to provide a record number of more expensive
seats next. Year americans going To span expand its upmarket
offerings by twenty percent by the end of the.
Speaker 11 (26:33):
Decade. See this focus on premium seats comes.
Speaker 17 (26:36):
As the airlines face a challenge filling their economy class.
Cabins so it's it's an issue for many of them
that and we're hearing it all across the, board not
only from, Them Southwest, Airlines United, Airlines they're all saying
people still have money on the high end of the,
spectrum but on the low, end people are in the
(26:56):
low bottom end of the income bracket are continuing to.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Struggle you, know it's.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Interesting they used to sell the economy, seats and then
to make room for more sales of economy, seats they'd
bump people up to first. Class it's like the opposite
is happening now and probably getting bumped down is not an.
Speaker 17 (27:12):
Option it's it's crazy Because delta now says that they
get more than fifty percent of their revenue outside its
main economy class, product so they're they're making money by
leveling up on. Luxury so they're, saying all, right we're
going to head where the money is and that group
of people are they're still, spending so that's what they're
(27:33):
planning on.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Doing, okay if you're thinking of spending a ton of.
Money there might be some good news on the home buying. Front,
wow mortgage rates have dropped by the most in a.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Year.
Speaker 17 (27:45):
Huge that could breathe some life into the housing, market
which definitely needs a little bit of. Life so according
To Freddie, mack the average rate for a thirty or
fixed loan is six point three five. Percent borrowing has
definitely been trending lower for a couple of, months and
it took another leg down after last week's just pointing jobs.
Report but this is also really go time for the refinancing,
(28:07):
industry so we could see a lot more refis coming
up very.
Speaker 11 (28:10):
Shortly.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Okay and then something else we might see shortly is
another major merger kind of studio buyout.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Thing, yeah how's that very technical?
Speaker 11 (28:20):
Term, yes, EXACTLY i love. It paramount Sky.
Speaker 17 (28:23):
Dance they're said to be preparing a bid to buy
Rival Warner Brothers.
Speaker 11 (28:28):
Discovery so here's the.
Speaker 17 (28:30):
Story paramount is run By David allison because the son
Of oracle co Founder Larry. Ellison The Wall Street journal
reports that he would purchase the studio with the backing
of his. Family, Now Larry, ellison we have to point,
out has very deep.
Speaker 11 (28:43):
Pockets because he's the world's second richest.
Speaker 17 (28:45):
Person but there's been a lot of movement within the
media space Because David Ellison's Skydance. Media they completed their
takeover Of paramount last. Month but a merger of this
the scale would shrink the number of legacy media studios.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Four it'll be interesting to see if that one is
allowed to go.
Speaker 17 (29:04):
Through and it's going to be, tough especially for The
Los angeles area because so far With, paramount they're cutting
jobs and we could end up seeing more job cuts
if there is any more consolidation within that.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Industry All, right that's one to watch for.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Sure and then a big day with The dow top
in forty six, Thousand, yes a huge jump for The dow,
yesterday crossing forty six thousand for the first time.
Speaker 17 (29:31):
Ever rose six hundred and seventeen. Points so here's what.
Happened we saw sharp slowdown in hiring. Recently now layoffs.
Speaker 11 (29:38):
May be on the.
Speaker 17 (29:39):
Rise so we had a report yesterday that showed applications
for unemployment benefits jumped to the highest level in almost four.
Years more signs of a cooling job, market tame. Inflation
that's giving The Federal reserve the all clear to cut
interest rates next, week and that's going to be huge for.
Us next, week we're going to be all over, that
and that's what gave stocks a big bump. Yesterday now this,
morning stocks are a. Lower some people are saying traders
(30:02):
are becoming a little more. Cautious they're questioning how far
this rally will. Go so we're just looking at slight
losses this, morning With dow futures down about one hundred
and ten. Points but in the past few, Minutes apple
took a leg lower because the company's saying it's sti
laying the launch of the iPhone air In, china citing
a regulatory.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Issue so we're.
Speaker 11 (30:20):
Going to be digging into that a little bit.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
More all, Right, well we're going to let you go
so you can rest up and get a good relaxing,
Weekend so you're ready to go for the big week
next week.
Speaker 11 (30:29):
Exactly i'm going to be.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
Rare and all right getting in your business With bloomberg's
Courtey donaho like we do every morning at five point.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Forty we'll talk to You.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
Monday President trump says he has a high degree of
certainty the person who assassinated conservative Activist Charlie kirk has been.
Arrested he made the comment On Fox news this, morning
saying more information will be made available. Later authorities had
offered one hundred thousand dollars reward in the. Case, again
we're expecting an update on the investigation from THE fbi
(30:57):
at the top of the, hour and we'll bring that
to you live right here ON. Kfi soup, kitchens homeless,
shelters and schools have been cleared to continue serving people
regardless of their immigration. Status california organizations had been told
to limit public services for, immigrants including those that are
undocumented and those seeking, asylum also those here on student,
(31:17):
visas but a RECENT Us district court decision allows those
services to. CONTINUE la needs police. Officers Mayor Karen bass
has issued an executive directive to accelerate police. Hiring the
directive will establish protocols between THE lapd and The Personnel
department of clear bureaucratic barriers and high highly qualified, candidates
(31:39):
the goal to get the number of sworn officers back
above nine. Thousand let's say good morning now to ABC's
multi platform Reporter Will.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
Gans good, Morning, will.
Speaker 8 (31:51):
Good, morning and Happy friday. Too, Yeah Happy.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Friday we have a big weekend on the big, screen
The sound of, Musing.
Speaker 8 (32:04):
Right that's?
Speaker 9 (32:06):
Right do you feel me just smiling through the. PHONE
i just, like it's impossible not. To it's such an iconic.
Movie it's celebrating sixty years this, year.
Speaker 8 (32:15):
So in honor of that, anniversary The sound Of music.
Speaker 9 (32:17):
Is back on the big screen this, weekend, which you,
know if maybe the kids haven't seen the movie or
haven't seen it on the big, screen it does seem
like a good way to Celebrate Julie andrews in that incredible.
Musical you, know just imagine her spinning around in the
foothills of The Austrian, alps and you, know that's on
the big.
Speaker 8 (32:36):
Screen what's not to.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Love it'll be interesting to see if people go to,
it BECAUSE i, MEAN i, agree it's a lovely movie
and it's fun and it's, iconic and but it's been
around and we've all seen it so many.
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Times are we going to pay to go see?
Speaker 10 (32:49):
It you?
Speaker 9 (32:51):
KNOW i will be interested to see as. WELL i
do think in this particular moment in pop culture there
is a need for some sort of escapism and like
a return to a nostalgic sort of safe. Place and
SO i don't, KNOW i you, KNOW i hope it
does well BECAUSE i do sort of like this idea
of bringing old favorites to the big screen so people
can enjoy it in a different.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Way AND i wonder if it's gonna end up being
a singalong kind of like you, know That Demon hunter's.
Speaker 9 (33:17):
Show and then exactly, EXACTLY i, MEAN i have a feeling, fans,
will you, know because this is like the new way
we like to experience, art right is like we dress,
up like whether it's a concert and we're covering ourselves
in glitter or dressing as one Of Taylor swift's. Eras
LIKE i wonder if people will be dressing up to
go see.
Speaker 8 (33:33):
This you, know whether they're wearing.
Speaker 9 (33:34):
Like non cotumes family, yes or de bond traps, yes?
Speaker 8 (33:39):
Yes, yeah all, Right.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
Well we'll see what else is coming to the big.
Speaker 9 (33:43):
Screen, okay this is a movie Called twinless and it's,
LIKE i don't want to give away too.
Speaker 8 (33:49):
Much BECAUSE i think part of too.
Speaker 9 (33:50):
Much, yeah the joy of seeing it was LIKE i,
thought AND i didn't really know WHAT i was getting myself.
Into but it's RATED. R so let me start by
saying that it's not for the whole. Family this is
one for the grown. Ups but it's a dark comedy
and it's it's about two guys who meet in a
support group for twins who have lost their other, twins
so you, know whether they died in a tragedy or
(34:11):
of an illness or something like. That so they meet
at a support group for twins who are now just you,
know solo people moving through the, world and these two
guys form a. Friendship and then about twenty minutes into the,
movie it takes a left turn and you start to realize, that,
like it's a little it's not what you thought it
was going to. Be, Yes i'll leave it, there BUT
(34:33):
i will say that like it is funny, Throughout so
like the whole thing is. Funny WHEN i thought in you, know,
yesterday people are laughing and you, know but it is
like it's A i walked out of the theater And
i'm still thinking about it, today you.
Speaker 3 (34:46):
Know, okay so twinless.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Interesting now you've you've got my curiosity.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
Peaked.
Speaker 8 (34:53):
Good, good it should Be, yeah all.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Right i'm also very curious about this one BECAUSE i
think it could be could be in seeing and it
could be a train. Wreck but there's a little docu
series On Charlie.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
Sheen that's.
Speaker 9 (35:07):
Right it's CALLED Aka Charlie sheen and it's just a two.
Parter so it's about ninety minutes first, episode ninety minutes second,
episode and this Is Charlie sheen is is opening up
and talking about all of the, stuff you, know from
addiction to sitcoms to you, know divorce to. Everything and you,
(35:27):
know he's eight years sober now and reflecting, back.
Speaker 8 (35:30):
And it's like.
Speaker 10 (35:32):
It's it's a tough.
Speaker 9 (35:33):
ONE i, mean you, know everyone knows who he, is
and so that's you, know pretty you, know it's he's
a very public, figure so he's opening up about all
this stuff and, yeah go, Ahead Oh.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I'm just gonna say it's IT'S i can't figure, out
like WHAT i think about this because it's reminding me
Of Alec baldwin doing a docuseries or a lot OR
i guess his wasn't a docu.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Series it was like a reality show and.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Horrible but you, like he's he's a really great, actor
AND i Love Charlie sheen is an. Actor his, mess
his life has been a mess behind the, Scenes so,
like do you really want to dive in and see
more of?
Speaker 9 (36:11):
That?
Speaker 8 (36:12):
RIGHT i?
Speaker 9 (36:12):
Mean and that's sort of the thing is, like you,
know if you we all thought we sort of you,
know to some, extent understood what was happening when it was,
happening and it is interesting at a minimum to hear
in his own, words you.
Speaker 8 (36:24):
Know how he was viewing what was going on when.
Speaker 9 (36:26):
We were hearing and talk about you, know winning and
tiger blood and all.
Speaker 8 (36:30):
Of that, stuff you, know ten years.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Ago, yeah, okay well something to. Watch thank you so,
much will. Gans we appreciate, it and we will talk
to you next.
Speaker 8 (36:40):
Week, okay dook sounds. Good have a great, Weekend thanks you.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Too i've got an. Earworm now the sound of music
is stuck. There we've got just a couple of minutes,
left so let's get back to some of the stories
coming out of THE kfi twenty four twenty four hour,
newsroom as we are awaiting an update from THE fbi
