RSS feeds would still be manually downloading audio files from websites.
Question four, which Guardian journalist coined podcasting? The answer is
Ben Hammersley. In February two thousand and four, Hammersley suggested
the term podcasting in an article about the emerging technology,

(02:50):
although it took several months before the podcasting community actually
adopted and popularized the term. A man called Danny J.
Greguard did that. And Question five when did Apple add
podcast support to iTunes? The answer is two thousand and five.
Apple released iTunes four point nine in June two thousand

(03:13):
and five, which had native podcast support for the first time,
and they built a podcast directory funnily enough, from some
of the stuff that Adam Curry gave them. This was
the moment that podcasting truly went mainstream, making it accessible
to millions of users worldwide. And that concludes our World
Podcast Day special edition of five daily trivia questions. I'm

(03:38):
James Critten from pod News, and today's questions were crafted
with the help of AI technology but checked with a human.
