“Stanford Steve” Coughlin of ESPN’s College GameDay joins Andy to talk win totals. But first, we’ve got a preseason poll!

The first coaches poll is out. Georgia is No. 1, Ohio State is No. 2, and everyone disagrees with pretty much every other team’s placement. Now seems like a good time for Andy’s annual rant about why we have preseason polls and why they’re never going away.

Monday also brought bad news out of South Bend. Notre Dame left tackle Charles Jagusah tore his right pec muscle at practice during the weekend and will have to miss the season. That’s a massive blow, because the Fighting Irish had chosen Jagusah to replace first-round draft pick Joe Alt, and the redshirt freshman seemed on the verge of a breakout season.

Next, it’s time for win totals with Stanford Steve. We had so many to talk about that we broke the conversation into two parts. (Part two will be on Wednesday’s show.) Today, Andy and Steve discuss…

Notre Dame (10.5 wins)

Miami (9.5 wins)

Florida (4.5 wins)

Indiana (5.5 wins)

USC (7.5 wins)

Oklahoma (7.5 wins)

We wrap up with what the College Football Playoff would look like if it was reflective to the Pre-Season Coaches Poll
