Hace una década, en Bangladés, los datos más pesimistas indicaban que casi 8 millones de menores se veían obligados a trabajar. Entre ellos estaba Kanchon Rani Das, quien era esclava doméstica. Sin embargo, diez años después, esa cifra se ha reducido a 3,5 millones, según el Gobierno de Bangladés. Este año, Kanchon ha cumplido 21 años y ahora es profesora.
La periodista Alejandra Agudo conoció a Kanchon en 2015 cuando viajó al país asiático para realizar un reportaje para Planeta Futuro, la sección de desarrollo sostenible del periódico. Este 2024, Alejandra y la fotógrafa Sofía Moro han vuelto a reencontrarse con los niños y niñas que protagonizaron el artículo para descubrir qué ha sido de sus vidas.
