In the 2010s, #girlbosses ruled the world. But in the past few years, we've seen many of them publicly disgraced, accused of enabling toxic workplaces, and/or pushed out of the companies they founded. Koa Beck & Leigh Stein have both written extensively on the #girlboss phenomenon and the forces that enable her. Koa is the author of the book "White Feminism: From the Suffragettes to Influencers and Who They Leave Behind," and Leigh has written a number of books, including a satirical novel about two women founders called "Self Care."
