Vattenytan ligger blank mellan Lysekil och Grundsund. Det är tidig morgon och augusti och solen är på väg upp längs horisonten. En sval sensommarmorgon. Du drar in den lätta luften, smakar på den. Än finns sommarsmakerna kvar i den. Det är en lugn morgon. Du känner båten gunga stilla längs vattenytan, när din blick fastnar på någonting en bit ut i vattnet. Vad är det som ligger där och guppar försynt i segelleden? När du kommer närmre ser du att det är en skotskrutig resväska. En makaber lukt sveper förbi. Där och då kan du aldrig ana vad du snart ska få se.
