När Kyllikki Saari begravdes den 25 oktober 1953 i Finland, gick folk man ur huse för att närvara på den sorgsna tillställningen. Det estimeras att över 25.000 personer dök upp den höstdagen för att hedra den 17 åriga flickans minne. Finland var ett land i sorg, en oskyldig flicka hade fallit offer för ondskan. Man sörjde men man var också upprörd och arg för att ingen hade hållits som ansvarig för mordet på Kyllikki. Och så var man rädd för att en mördare gick lös. Än idag är fallet en gåta. Vi vet fortfarande inte vem som attackerade Kyllikki, brutalt mördade henne och sedan dumpade hennes kropp i en myr.
