Det här är säsongens sista avsnitt. Det var den 22 januari 1981 och julstjärnan hängde fortfarande uppe i familjen Freunds fönster. Det var kanske inte så jättemärkligt i sig trots att julen var förbi. Stilla Natt. Nu tändas tusen juleljus. Sångerna hade kommit och gått. Och grannarna på Lorensborggatan i Malmö hade plockat ner julpyntet. Men i familjen Freunds fönster lyste julstjärnan dag som natt. Oavbrutet. I flera veckor. Dygnet om. Tillslut hörde en orolig granne av sig till polisen som valde att bryta sig in i lägenheten för att ingen svarade när de ringde på dörren. Vad de möttes av var en fruktansvärd scen. I den spöklikt tysta lägenheten låg tre av familjens fyra familjemedlemmar döda i skenet från julstjärnan i fönstret. De hade blivit brutalt mördade.
