År 1994 hände det som inte fick hända. Kryssningsfartyget M/S Estonia sjönk till havets botten. Katastrofen var ett faktum och av de 989 passagerarna ombord var det bara 138 som klarade sig. Men det inte många vet, är att mörkrets skugga hade vilat över detta kryssningsfartyg innan. När fartyget hade ett annat namn, Viking Sally, hände något fruktansvärt på det översta däcket. Det här är en berättelse om mordet på den västtyska studenten Klaus Herman Schelkle och mordförsöket på hans flickvän Bettina Taxis, den 27 juli 1987.
