with and think of. But this is the encouragement to

stuff like that. The funds are to come out of
tariff revenue, so not you and ized tax dollars.

The aid is meant to relieve farmers suffering from the
agriculture export collapse, rising cost of fertilizer, fuel and equipment,
and other economic hits that are tied to the global
trade disruption because of the tariffs. The administration also signed
it that they will slash environmental regulations for farming equipment

for machinery to reduce cost for farmers.

The bridge that is needed to get from the last
administration and what basically happened under the last president in
the last US Department of Agriculture to this new golden

My father started farming in the late sixties. His father
was a small town minister actually, and truly we take
rice steel from the farm to a finished product, so
we actually have a rice mill. We have our own

have been calling me for the last several weeks really
in desperation and telling me, look, Mareyl, like we can't survive.
These prices have never been worse in my career, and
my father tells me never in his career either, right,
So it's just really a serious situation. And some of
them actually asked me to write a letter, believe it

or not, to the President and ask him to help.
And so I decided, you know, I think I think
it's worth a shot, and I did, and look how
he responded. I mean, I'm just so blown away that
he listened. He's listening to our farmers. He believes in
rural America, he believes in the un US farmer, and

that him and the Secretary are going to do something
about it. It's amazing.

ever been in the White House. I've never even been
on a tour of the White House until that day.
So you could tell that he cares. He's absolutely down
to earth, a true a true patriot, and somebody that

Right, The first and foremost has to be the energy,
the fuel costs over the last four or five years

a farming community. Even though my dad was a factory worker.
We lived on a farm outside of town. So I
always saw a jeane, the farmer that owned the land
around it, waved to him in the combine. I grew
up on farms, going out and playing in the plowed
fields or the cornfields.

So I get it right, you.

Can't survive when the margins are so thin in the
farming industry. When the combines now are hundreds and hundreds
and millions of dollars and you're paying five bucks a
gallon for fuel, you guys can't operate that way, right,
The fuel cost had to be one of the worst
things of the last four or five years.

Well, you know, people don't understand just how much it
takes financially to farm, and input cost to your point,
have been steadily rising over the last four to five years,
and really since since twenty twenty, we've had record input
cost year every year. And that is fuel, but also
it's fertilizer cost, it's chemical cost, it's seed cost, it's
(48:45):
all of all of the things about this labor cost, right,
I mean, all of our input costs have been going up,
even when you you know, you mentioned the you know,
maintenance on equipment, right everything may it costs almost a
million dollars for a combine and you know these days,
so it's just it's extraordinarily hot prices along with extraordinarily
(49:06):
low prices for the food that we're trying to supply.
So now my message really to the president was just
not only you know, this aid is so important to
bridge us to the next step. But we've got to
rebuild our our culture communities. We've got to rebuild our
rural communities. We've got to invest back in the US farmer,
and that means trying to build our markets back. Right.

Don't let other countries take our markets. These are our
markets here in the US. Our consumers want to buy
our products.

Yes, and help us to save this mar Yeah. Look
what happen was steel. Look what happened with the auto industry.

which will focus on cases where the Second Amendment is
being infringed upon by state and local lawmakers Democrats. Dylan
says that President Trump's DOJ under BONDI has committed to
protecting America's Second Amendment, and they're already getting into the
ring to do battle with Democrats that are trying to
suppress it. She says she's personally argued against Illinois's gun

bands and it's suing Hawaii and Los Angeles for ridiculous
restrictions on concealed carry and delaying the issuance of those.

DOJ step up to the plate and say, look, there

to carry their firms across state lines. A state border

doesn't mean your Second Amendment rights end. It's good that

time I'd ever be out publicly. Before I even got
to say goodbye to my family and stuff. These are
the things that all of us now have to deal
with and think of. But this is the encouragement to

bring it back to a positive is that if that
is what it costs of me to speak the truth,
I'm willing to do it. The same way that the church,
you know, like spread throughout the world through the blood
of martyrs. Is the same way that the message of
hope now that we have here in America spreads through

he was always ending it and telling people to find God.

was planning seeds. And now through his death the tears
of everyone who misses him are now what are watering

President Trump is warning that only dark and sinister forces
went to overturn his global tariff program, a cornerstone of
his America First trade and national security strategy. This is
a Supreme Court prepares to rule on whether he can
keep those tariffs imposed.

Now you've heard from experts on this program say the
President does have the legal right to do that. And
we've got experts on matter of fact this week to
remind you because none of us were alive. But y'all remember,

Trump says tariffs have boosted US national security and economic strength,

financially defenseless. His administration argues the duties are valid under

Would not just roll back the tariffs.

It could curb presidential trade powers and reshape US leverage
with China and other competitors. And folks, we have got
to get this right with China. We can't afford to
screw it up. We have been giving them and allowing
them to steal from us for decades on trade, on

intellectual property. It's got to stop. He's the only one
that can get it done. Whether the album or hateum,
this needs to happen, folks. Earlier this week, President Trump
announced a nearly twelve billion dollar farmer Bridge assistance package
for American farmers that have been impacted by his tariff
driven trade policies.

pan out, folks, for the better, for the betterment of
the farmer, of the consumer, and for America.

eleven billion is going to go to what they call
row crop farmers. Those are the folks raising the corn,
the soybeans, wheat, etc. And then about a billion is
reserved for specialty crops that's I believe, more nuts, fruit,
stuff like that. The funds are to come out of
tariff revenue, so not you and ized tax dollars.

The aid is meant to relieve farmers suffering from the
agriculture export collapse, rising cost of fertilizer, fuel and equipment,
and other economic hits that are tied to the global
trade disruption because of the tariffs. The administration also signed
it that they will slash environmental regulations for farming equipment

for machinery to reduce cost for farmers.

The bridge that is needed to get from the last
administration and what basically happened under the last president in
the last US Department of Agriculture to this new golden
age for farmers where instead of farming for government checks,
they can farm to feed their family and sell their
products and pass it on to the next generation. That

this bridge is absolutely necessary based on where we are right.

because sitting in a moment like that, when you're sitting

So first and foremost, welcome to the program, and how
was that earlier this week?

You know, it was very humbling to sit by the president, honestly,

what a moment in history for me and something I'll
remember forever.

Frankly, I bet all right. Now, let's back up. You
and your sisters own a rice farm. Talk to me
about how that's been going. Give me some background. Was
this the family farm that you guys took over and
expanded and made bigger, and now with the tariffs, you've
been hit hard. Get us up to the point where
you were literally bending the President's ears, saying, hey, we

need some help until the tariffs are all settled.

Fill us in, misters, and I are actually second generation.
My father started farming in the late sixties. His father
was a small town minister actually, and truly we take
rice steel from the farm to a finished product, so
we actually have a rice mill. We have our own
brand for Sisters rice, as you mentioned. But our farmers

have been calling me for the last several weeks really
in desperation and telling me, look, Mareyl, like we can't survive.
These prices have never been worse in my career, and
my father tells me never in his career either, right,
So it's just really a serious situation. And some of
them actually asked me to write a letter, believe it
(45:40):
or not, to the President and ask him to help.
And so I decided, you know, I think I think
it's worth a shot, and I did, and look how
he responded. I mean, I'm just so blown away that
he listened. He's listening to our farmers. He believes in
rural America, he believes in the un US farmer, and

that him and the Secretary are going to do something
about it. It's amazing.

the military in our schools.

A huge plate, right, and he didn't have to be
sitting beside people like me trying to fix these kind
of She's but he is right because he does care.
Many of my friends were like, MARYL, that's no way

But I have to tell you, that was the first
time I have met the president. And it was absolutely,

you know, on camera for the for the first first
time of my life that I've met any president. Frankly
ever been in the White House. I've never even been
on a tour of the White House until that day.
So you could tell that he cares. He's absolutely down
to earth, a true a true patriot, and somebody that

you know deserves, deserves our prayers and support.

Yeah, talk to me about the struggles.

Right, The first and foremost has to be the energy,
the fuel costs over the last four or five years
since the Biden regime. Right, Look, I grew up in
a farming community. Even though my dad was a factory worker.
We lived on a farm outside of town. So I
always saw a jeane, the farmer that owned the land
around it, waved to him in the combine. I grew
up on farms, going out and playing in the plowed
fields or the cornfields.

So I get it right, you.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
Can't survive when the margins are so thin in the
farming industry. When the combines now are hundreds and hundreds
and millions of dollars and you're paying five bucks a
gallon for fuel, you guys can't operate that way, right,
The fuel cost had to be one of the worst
things of the last four or five years.
Speaker 6 (48:22):
Well, you know, people don't understand just how much it
takes financially to farm, and input cost to your point,
have been steadily rising over the last four to five years,
and really since since twenty twenty, we've had record input
cost year every year. And that is fuel, but also
it's fertilizer cost, it's chemical cost, it's seed cost, it's
(48:45):
all of all of the things about this labor cost, right,
I mean, all of our input costs have been going up,
even when you you know, you mentioned the you know,
maintenance on equipment, right everything may it costs almost a
million dollars for a combine and you know these days,
so it's just it's extraordinarily hot prices along with extraordinarily
(49:06):
low prices for the food that we're trying to supply.
So now my message really to the president was just
not only you know, this aid is so important to
bridge us to the next step. But we've got to
rebuild our our culture communities. We've got to rebuild our
rural communities. We've got to invest back in the US farmer,
and that means trying to build our markets back. Right.
(49:29):
Don't let other countries take our markets. These are our
markets here in the US. Our consumers want to buy
our products.

Yes, and help us to save this mar Yeah. Look
what happen was steel. Look what happened with the auto industry.

We started letting all that crap go over to different
foreign nations, and now Trump's trying to rain that back
in after decades of shipping.

So, for decades, the Second Amendment has been treated, especially
by the left, as though it's some second class right
that we have.

Oh no, no, no no.

But under President Trump's administration, the right is now once
again being treated like it should be a civil right
for all Americans and to quote the Amendment shall not
be infringed. So get this civil rights Assistant Attorney General
Harmei Dllon, who comes on the show quite a bit,
has launched nowt what she calls a second Amendment Initiative,
(53:28):
which will focus on cases where the Second Amendment is
being infringed upon by state and local lawmakers Democrats. Dylan
says that President Trump's DOJ under BONDI has committed to
protecting America's Second Amendment, and they're already getting into the
ring to do battle with Democrats that are trying to
suppress it. She says she's personally argued against Illinois's gun

bands and it's suing Hawaii and Los Angeles for ridiculous
restrictions on concealed carry and delaying the issuance of those.

I caught up with the national spokesperson for Gun Owners
of America, Luis Feldez, for his reaction, Luis, nice to
see you again. This is amazing news. I mean, I've
known our meet personally for years. She is a civil
rights fighter. She follows the Constitution to the letter, and
I am so glad that she is, because I don't
(54:22):
remember hearing anybody in the past dojs, whether they are
run by Democrats or Republicans, coming out this strong to
now go out and go after people who are putting
laws into place at the city or state level that
infringes on our god given right to arm ourselves. Your reaction,
(54:43):

You're absolutely correct.
Speaker 17 (54:46):
This is the first time we've ever seen the federal
government step up to the plate and defend the Second Amendment.
Speaker 9 (54:50):
Now we still have some issues with DOJ.
Speaker 17 (54:52):
Of course, as you know, sure they're still defending the
National Firearms Act on a federal level. That's something we're
clearly challenging with our one big, beautiful lawsuit. But in
terms of challenging the state governments, it's good seeing the
DOJ step up to the plate and say, look, there
needs to be national reciprocity. Americans need to be able
to carry their firms across state lines. A state border
(55:13):
doesn't mean your Second Amendment rights end. It's good that
the Department of Justice is saying that the AR fifteen
is a quintessential firm that every American should be able
to lawfully own, and that, of course, the issuance of
permits in the way that some locations like California and
New York Hawaii have been dragging it on to make
it as arduous and as hard as possible for law
(55:36):
of binding and citizens to challenge. That is good because,
as you know, goa we have been challenging that. We
have been challenging it on the local level, we've been
challenging on the state level, on the federal level. So
this is a good step in the right direction for
the Department of Justice and the federal government.
Speaker 1 (55:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
I love that you guys fight for real change. You know,
I won't bag on the other guys out there that
are much much bigger that say they're always fighting for
our gun right. But somebody once did an analogy, and
I forget who it was, but they were like, well,
that other three letter word gun nonprofit is like you know,
diet pepsi, and you guys are like bourbon and coke.
(56:14):
You're a bit stronger. And that's why I love GOA.
You know, I love the GOA guys. Luise, Can I
go back to something you said though about that National Registry,
because I know you're suing your PODE, and so am
I who's pushing that And why is this even happening
under the Trump administration? Do we need to be letting
DJT know a little more passionately that this is bogus
(56:36):
and we don't want this.
Speaker 17 (56:38):
Definitely, we got to put a little bit more pressure
on President Trump and to say, look, it's great that
DJ is defending the Second Amendment and challenging anti gun rights,
anti gun right states, but the federal government can't be
defending gun rights on a federal level.
Speaker 9 (56:53):
You know, that's kind of like Schrodinger's cat. It's a
bit hypocritical.
Speaker 17 (56:56):
SODJ needs to just fully be on board with the
Second Amendment and say, look, if we're going to go
after the state of California for being anti gun, we
need to go after our own gun laws and say, hey,
these are clearly unconstitutional.
Speaker 9 (57:09):
They need to be repealed.
Speaker 17 (57:11):
And a great example of what the DOJ could do
is what the Florida Attorney General, James Utmeyer has recently did.
He has told the US Supreme Court that he will
not defend Florida's under twenty one purchase ban and that
it is clearly unconstitutional. So Pam Bondi could do the same.
She could tell the US Supreme Court, Hey, I'm not
going to defend the National Firearms Act. It's clearly unconstitutional.
Speaker 1 (57:34):
Let's strike it down, amen.
Speaker 2 (57:36):
I mean, look, if we can sign up for the
United States Military at eighteen, and they can hand me
a fully automatic rifle, and I can go kill a
human being on a foreign land. Why in the sam
hill can I not go buy a pistol or rifle
a shotgun at eighteen and protect myself from my government
or from bad guys, or shoot a critter on my property,
(57:57):
whatever it may be.

That's my right. One two is an easy one.
Speaker 2 (58:01):
President Trump spoke about this at the beginning of his
campaign for this second term now, and I think it
just came up last week or so he mentioned it again.
The national reciprocity for our ccw's are concealed carry.
Speaker 1 (58:14):
I want this.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
I have fought long and hard to keep my California
one now for the last seven eight years, and I
travel a lot. I would love it if I don't
have to jump through hoops when I travel.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
Are you guys pushing for that?
Speaker 17 (58:27):
Of course we're pushing for it. And it's not fair
that I could carry nashally as a retired cop under
the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act, But you or even
my wife, my partner in life, is disarmed if we
go to New York or California or Puerto Rico to
visit friends and family, and she's disarmed. But because I
was a retired cop, I could carry. No, we don't
have classes of nobility. It's very simple. Shall not be
(58:49):
infringed the right to keep in bear arms? Last I checked,
state borders don't end our rights, no more, no less.
We should be able to carry in nationwide. It's that simple.
Our girths were able to, why aren't we able to?
