Kit, Andy, and Steve return to Hawkins for the start of Season 2, where the story picks up nearly a year after the events of the Demogorgon and the Upside Down. In Chapter One: MADMAX, the kids are back at the arcade when a new high score - signed only by “MADMAX” - sparks curiosity and rivalry. Will continues to struggle with terrifying visions that suggest his time in the Upside Down may not be over. Meanwhile, Joyce tries to move forward with her life, Hopper works to keep the town safe from new dangers, and the arrival of mysterious newcomers hints that Hawkins’ secrets are far from finished.
