Tales of the Night

Tales of the Night

This podcast is inhabited by the stories, urban legends, and horrors that you can find in towns not so different from yours; streets like the ones you walk every night; and even in a silent house in the middle of the night... exactly like yours. The darkness of the most successful and acclaimed horror podcast across all categories in Latin America now in English. Uriel Reyes was born in Tijuana, Baja California. As a child, he learned to comprehend the language of horror movies he found on American television, even though he didn't yet understand the language. He studied Communication at the Autonomous University of Baja California and later drew inspiration from the radio programs he listened to during insomnia-ridden early mornings, ghost stories, and a recording of Juan Rulfo reading a story from "El Llano en Llamas" to create "Relatos de la Noche" a podcast that has made him one of the most listened-to voices in the Spanish-speaking world. Recent stories, told by those still trying to understand what they experienced, remind us that the paranormal doesn't always manifest itself in grand apparitions... sometimes, the most disturbing thing ...

There are spirits awakened by our actions. If you should take anything away from tonight, this is a lesson: respect the spirits that may be near you. Today we're going to meet ghosts that inhabit the houses we visit, spirits that visit us, and even entities that may look similar... but are far from the same. So turn off the lights, let yourself go, and get ready... because there's no turning back. You're now listening to Tales of t...

Today, we have stories for you that take us from a bridge over a stream connecting two neighborhoods, where people know never to cross at night—no matter how urgent or necessary it may be. Today we'll talk about astral travel and the paranormal, the world of horrors we can find there; about religions from countries we don't know. Even about creatures, or entities, that we can only find in the woods and that, we hope, we don't follow home. Do you dare to listen?

The subway is a strange place. It hides many secrets. Stories that are very difficult to explain. Appearances of very strange characters, who seem more real than ghostly. Visions of spirits that seem to repeat the final moments of their lives over and over; legends like that of the smiling woman who seems to appear more frequently in seasons and then returns to sleep... without anyone being able to explain why.

Broken graves are more than just forgotten resting places, lost in time. They can be signs that whoever inhabits them has not completely managed to leave this plane.

In this episode, you will also find the most terrifying way to "not see" a ghost, but it's up to you whether you decide to listen.

Today's stories are about witches or at least they seem to be. No one really knows what they are, what they look like, or how much we should worry about them. But if you’re not afraid of them, don’t worry you can listen to this episode as you fall asleep... just leave it playing at a volume loud enough to be heard in your room. It won’t attract anything strange. You won’t be the next main character in Tales of the Night.

Roads have something, don’t they? Something that makes them different once the sun goes down. Maybe it’s the silence, the loneliness of miles without a single light, without a living soul, or maybe… it’s what’s been left behind, waiting. Those who spend too much time behind the wheel know it well. Truckers, bus drivers, night travelers. They all have a story to tell. Apparitions by the roadside, figures hitchhiking that vanish when...
