Can Terry be trusted with responsibility, or would he go mad with power? His thoughts on running a Talking Bollox recording offer a window into his thoughts.
Calvin has a story for us about an accidental windfall of hundreds of millions of dollars, all thanks to the fancy orange juice, and it leads us to wonder how we’d best squander a fortune – including paying each other to do things we really don’t want to, and a gigantic new att...
While Terry's away this week, we've gone back through the 228 previous episodes we've done and picked some of our favourites - Although it's hard to choose out of all the great guests.
We've got The Script's Danny O'Donoghue speaking about his grief after losing his bandmate and lifelong friend Mark Sheehan, and neuroscientist Sabina Brennan on preventing cognitive decline.
Ireland international Killian Phillips tells us about his d...
Terry says the wrong thing and digs a deep, dark hole for himself that he struggles to get out of, even with help,
Calvin has been mixing with architects and has found himself a new enemy.
We hear Terry’s case for kissing his front door, no matter what the neighbours think, and there is some vastly underappreciated news of a whale sighting
.

PJ came into us thinking he'd have nothing new to say since he was first on a year ago. And within 2 minutes, he proved himself wrong launching into tirades about hoarding and tales of regrettable tattoos and wonky ears.
He has a few words of warning for Terence about the reality of becoming a dad to a mad son, and fills us in on the sketch he made with Robert Sheehan and Darren Conway that blew up. Not to mention his story of atte...
It's an emotional one this week as Terry, Calvin and substitute teacher/producer Siobhan discuss the saddest films of all time with poor Zach Effron's face getting caught up in the debate.
A listener ask whether you'd prefer your child to become a professional footballer or a doctor and a deep and meaningful about much missed chocolate bars ends up with adult toys in a Kinder egg.

Kirsty Forde was 17 when she fell in love with Glenn Fullam and they were happy together for years, until one day Glenn got a pain in his back. He ignored it for as long as he could, until he finally went to the hospital. At first the doctors weren't too concerned, but then they called him back in and diagnosed him with cancer.
Glenn passed away just four months later. He was only 26 years old.
Kirsty told us the heartbreaking story...
A listener question stinks the gaff out as the boys get a sniff of some of their least favourite smells. Calvin takes a nine iron to Golf yet again and they graciously invite Denis Desmond to invite them to watch Celtic in Glasgow.
They hear about an emotional discovery in Kildare and there's a split in the studio between seeing in the dark or having a monkey's tail.

It's a week since we took to the stage at the Bord Gáis for our biggest sold out live show to date and we're still on a come down from all the excitement.
From lie detector tests and gender reveals, to Maniac 2000 - The show was packed from start to finish and we went through everything the audience didn't see on the night.
We wonder where we should take the live show next and reveal the plans we have that we didn't get to use at th...
What is the cheapest and best way to end a live show? Playing Maniac 2000 of course and blowing the roof off the Bord Gáis, but that wasn't the only highlight of the show, and Terence brings in unwanted gifts to celebrate a great night.
There's a revelation about the saying "as blind as a bat", confusion over the difference between a common household safety pins and the pin in a grenade and Calvin cringes at the thoughts of overhear...
This week was a chaotic one and we blame Shane Todd for telling us to have Micky Bartlett and Willie Thompson on together. The boys sat down and took off running with debates about gills vs. wings, an explanation of the 12th of July for dummies and Adam Sandler impressions.
Willie and Micky are part of a thriving comedy scene in the North and told us how attitudes towards Northern Irish and working class comedians are changing and ...
The small parts of everyday life are occupying our minds, from how to do a wash, to how to make the perfect slice of toast and even the ever present fear that lives unseen inside us.
Calvin argues for the advantages to defending your home from intruders while in the nip, to how the instinct for a shortcut is in the DNA.
He's also (possibly) caught faking a speed walk across town, and we hear the case for being allowed to scream (in a...
When Una Ennis' 7 year old son Archie was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a condition that causes his muscles to weaken, her plea for help was shared all across social media. She told us how she first began to notice that Archie was struggling with basic things like jumping and climbing the stairs and how their family has coped since receiving the news of his diagnosis.
Incredibly, Una and all of Archie's Army have now ...
We begin with controversy and farce over late trains, leading to accusations of international sabotage.
Terry argues Calvin can’t take a slagging and it almost goes completely out of hand as we have accusations of being a rat firing around the studio.
We hear all about the Talking Bollox day out at an awards ceremony, from Terry arriving late due to a wardrobe malfunction of his own making, and him getting a fire exit confused with t...
Doireann Garrihy was our guest this week and took us back to the start from her dad's flirting tactics that helped win over her mam, to her famous godfather. She also told us about her time studying drama, blowing up on Snapchat and more recently, her decision to walk away from a successful breakfast radio show on RTÉ.
In between bleeps, Doireann told us who her favourite podcast guest was and how she found out she offended someone ...
We’re bringing you a very special extra episode this week, and giving you a peek behind the curtain at what goes on over on TBX. For the very first time, and just this once, we are bringing a TBX episode to everyone for free.
Last month we ran a couple of quizzes on TBX, this episode was the second and the most chaotic. Things got out of hand and the quizmaster (Terry) lost control. What followed was some of the most ridiculous, cha...
Would it be better to be feared or loved? Does it matter if you’re a podcast host at a live show, a football manager or a maniacal dictator?
In a bout of curious historical trivia we get a brief chat about OJ Simpson and some fascinating and farcical insights into a little known element of 9/11.
There’s questions about starting a business, pissing every minute of the day and a heated debate over what counts as a sauce.
There are bad i...
Just weeks after his debut for the Irish senior squad, Killian Phillips joined us in studio. He told us what it means for him to play for his country and how he always told his late granddad that he would represent Ireland one day.
Killian's road to professional football wasn't always straightforward and he took us through his career from Sunday league to playing against clubs like Liverpool and Manchester United. He also told us ho...
We get unverified news that dogs are evolving in an environmentally conscious way, and seagulls are eating fancy ice creams.
We hear about some very strange, and shameful, food eating habits this week.
Calvin wants to know what the hierarchy is on the bus, between man, woman, child and pet.
He also makes a few dog jokes, and dad jokes, that cross the line.
We’re very aware we’ve been conned into breaking our own ban on animal talk, and...
In this week's episode , Sabina Brennan returns to discuss the fascinating connection between neuroscience and manifesting as well as her new book, "The Neuroscience of Manifesting: The Magical Science of Getting the Life You Want" which explores how our thoughts can shape our reality.
They all join forces to take on the myths surrounding the law of attraction and reveal why it's about taking action, not just wishful thinking.
Sabin...
Sometimes it can be hard to describe what an episode of Talking More Bollox is like. This one of those weeks.
We go from Leitrim’s first traffic late (surprisingly late), to Calvin’s fear of the ruthless elderly women down the local, and on to confusion and hostility over the definition of a second cousin.
We take up the challenge of creating carnage in the Ilac, ponder Terry’s ongoing Argos mystery, try to explain why there was no “...
