know what this guy who I've never met before is going to be
wearing the church in Ballymena next Sunday.

nobody has the kahunas that theywere the stuff, and so it's all

Shana, I probably wouldn't have dressed like this in the 20s.
Like when you I'll be, I'll be 55 in a few weeks time and I
don't have as much time as anyone else.
So I really want to make make the most of it, you know?

But and also you're saying you didn't dress like that when you
were younger. When you're in your 70s and 80s,

what are you going to be wearing?

we've all got different DNA. And I just want to express

honest that I want to do some stuff, you know, I do.
I'm a dreamer. I'm always sending my kids, you
know, I always say to him, and nobody's going to do it for you.

You know, I've, I've knocked on so many doors over the years,
like third, I've been grafting for 36 years in the gym on my
own and you know, the doors havebeen slammed in the face.
We, we had a business, we lost the business.
All this sort of stuff started from scratch.
But I, I am on a, on a mission, to be honest, you know, to try

and, and you know, with, especially with guys like I
love, I love, you know, I know our ends here and that's great,
but not to be a role model because that's a bit, you know,
conceded, you know, who does he,who does he think he is?
But I've, I've had a lot of lifeexperiences and I just want to
try and, and tell guys, you know, you can do this.

Yeah, yeah. Not just being positive for the
sake of you. He he's some sort of mindset
dude. But you can do it, you know.
But, and I think that's why the content, which, how long have
you been doing 10 months online content.
See, that's insane to me because10 months, I think I saw it at
the very start, but that is why I think it resonated with so

many people because of how positive you are as a person.
And there's no, you know, we're talking earlier before this,
where your content being very organic.
And I think that's why people love it because it's not
rehearsed. You're not hard selling
something. It's it's more just like here.
You can do this if you. If you're the worst salesman in

followers even don't even like saying that that think oh, who
who does he think he is? You know, it's just that Belfast

was was you talking about the abuse you'd been receiving
online and that must have did that almost shock you that that
happens? Because if you aren't used to
posting, did you expect criticism like that?
And did it? I think, you know, we're talking
about age and how as you get older, you you experiment more

with style and you go more like this is who I am.
I I've definitely found out. And especially since having
kids, yes, I'm way more comfortable as like myself and
to just make decisions and say, no, I'm going to do this because
I like the idea of it or, or I think this even like even like
dress and stuff like you say, like this looks good or
whatever. And way more trying to impress

people less than just trying to be me.
But the critics online criticismwe've talked about in the
podcast before, but when I started doing online content, I
was maybe 1920 and it was it waswild because there wasn't that
much of it. But anything that it felt so
personal and because I was a kidkind of it, it could have

affected you or a comment reallysit with you for a weekend.
On board it did it did it affect?
Yeah. And I and I almost felt like I
was shaping what I was doing as a result of it.
And you should never obviously do that.
Yeah, but it's probably better in a way that you are seeing
that criticism, but you know whoyou are as a person, so it's
easier to deal with. I have a wee bit of a strategy

and when someone is really vile and I, I try to flip it around
Shane and just flip a wee bit ofkindness.

and all this sort of stuff. But it was you, you were like on
a Friday, things that you couldn't get away with now.
Like there was the Irish team, the Scotch team, the English
team in training and you know, other sort of, you know, other

And like, it was like I was called you thick Irish Sea or

this or that, you know, it didn't do me any harm.
You know, I, I probably didn't make it shame because I probably
wasn't tough enough. You have to, I read a, a
statistic the other day, is it 0.0001% of, of young lads who
try to make it to the Premier League actually make it?

and went on to captain Celtic and all that sort of stuff, you
know. So there was a little and I got
to play in all the old grounds. So I played at White Hart Lane
and Highbury and play like 1 Wimbledon's Grind, obviously,
Stanford Bridge, the Dale, you know, all those, you know.
So there's lasting, lasting memories, you know, getting a
bit emotional now. Yeah.

And when you started 10 months to making that online content,
what made you start doing onlinecontent and when did you notice
it start to kind of blow up a wee bit?
What made me well, I've always been a grafter.
I've always so I owned a gym in Newton Abbey on the road to

Carrick and it was called Glenn Wilkinson Lifestyle.
And I thought, my goodness, this, this is a dream come true.
I was there like 14 hours a day,6:00 and I did everything I did
every class. And I think COVID came along and
I'm not that's no excuse. And you know, there was, there
was problems. And then I thought, my goodness,

what am I going to do? Then I went after that.
Tiernan Lynch and Kenny Bruce. Kenny Bruce owned Lauren at the
time. I just met.
Him Purple owned Purple Bricks and the property company.
Yes, a fantastic guy, absolutelyamazing guy.
I can remember one day at the Cliff, I I got there very early

and he was there nobody to be seen.
And he's fixing chairs and he's,he's, he's brushing the floor
and making sure. And it's, I love that unseen.
Stuff, yes. And I think I've, I've done a
lot of unseen stuff and, and learnt my trade, especially, you
know, back in the day when I wasprobably one of the first

aerobics instructors around, youknow, in Belfast.
But in the Grove, do you know the Grove Leisure Centre?
Yeah. But it's aerobic aerobics.
Is it out of water? No, you have Aqua aerobics,

So we used to do this in the Grove Leisure Centre.
So I was born on the Shore Road and the Grove Leisure Centre was
was just there and it was my thing and I used to do aerobics
and there was like 120. This was before I was married.

I, I, I I followed all their moves, all their choreographed
moves. You know, that one.
Yeah. Only takes me in it.
Yeah. And I was, you know, doing the
running man, and it was packed. Every week.

And like I'm a straight dude, you know, back back in the day,

you know, the aerobic skies. I'm not, I'm not, you know, I
have, you know, can you say thatsort of stuff, you know?

whatever, I just get into park runs and I5K is like my thing.
And then I started, well, that became like a bit of a goal for

want to go under 20 minutes. I was going to say and I got.
1953 or something like that. And that was like a huge because
I think when you're younger, youknow, you set more goals and
stuff. And then I hadn't set a goal in
a long time. Like career wise, I never set
goals. I just like to work hard and
hope that good things will come as a result of that.
But then when I want to do a sub20 run, when I did that, it was
