Speaker 2 (00:33):
When they tell me you're a cowboy fan like man,
So we're in the same boat.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I don't know what's gonna happen every week.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Oh we're gonna sign Michael Porson's.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Or what Mike help us with that?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
That's the wrong mocker. Put our hands in irving, Fam.
Just just just listen to what you just said. Irvin.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Nah, I'm saying you're a Jersey said Mike Chalker. But nah, man,
I honestly think that it's always been a weight game
with Jared. I don't know why we always have our
players waiting damn a week before, like right now, we're
about to play the Eagles, like we need him out
there practice and doing something.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
How you see that playing our game one Thursday night, Cowboys.
How you see it's playing out bro, that cat do something.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
That guy. He gotta come out four for four. We
got our first draft. Gotta be a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
He gotta be a statement.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Gotta be a statement. I don't know who running the
ball back there? Forgot what we got back there?

Speaker 2 (01:30):
We got duce vun back to me.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
You know, it's real potition like back then in the
backfield right now.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
But we got receivers though.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yeah, we look good.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I mean, you know CD got that bad so you know,
shut out to CD now and uh ship, we gotta
do something.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
We got pickings. You know, we got him from Pittsburgh.
You know, he a little wild called. But if he
you know what I'm saying, if he you know, come
out in ball, bro, we Hey.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
We're going to beat the breaks off some people. So
that's one thing he's gonna do.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
He's gonna bring you need that. We need a dog
in Dallas, bro. But the only dog in Dallas right
now is Jerry Jones.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
He a dog.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I mean, you know you gonna giggle Jerry flying his
helicopter in practice, stopping practice and shit, they.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
See the doctor. The documentary loved it. It was really nothing.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I got a new found.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Respect for Jerry Jones now, bro, because I didn't know
he was really behind the NFL on being independent, going out,
getting the sponsors and all that.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
So it's like, dang, I know Jerry was just doing
all that.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
He rolled them over so once, like you said, once
he got he always wanted that team, and he.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Put all his kids in position.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
But that's what got like, you gotta do something the
fuck else, man, I'm tired of I can't give us DC,
you know from home.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
So when he come to d C.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Yeah, dang, all your pottingers up to the fact that their commander
was on they they ridskin damn the command. They redskin
fans up there, man, that's all. And you're a cowboy
fan and when they play it's it's a war.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Man.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
I love it though, man, because last year in d
c be one of that, you know back then the
season that wasn't really a big game for us.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yeah, yeah, but we're gonna get into yea, we're gonna
get into the mo cap type of means. But we're
gonna were gonna get into some basketball taller Francis Man,
you traffic in ninety nine, right, first round, second overall? Right,
But why didn't you go to the Vancouver grizs list
fa Let's talk about that.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Por They tried to pull it fast one. What you
mean I had to pull a fast one if you
look at the history and I actually I went there
a couple of years ago.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
We did a movie called The Gritz of the Truth.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
The fast one was that the owners had already negotiated
the year before that the team was going to Memphis.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
So it was a gamble to see if we weren't
gonna make up three.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Hundred million dollars in one year, so, you know, for
for some reason, and plus they had Mike Baby. Mike
Baby a respectful god. I couldn't up there and try
to play the one against with him. That's his mob already,
So I was like, I'm gonna just hold fast.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yeah, yeah, you know, rest Rudy made a couple of
calls Acetown Coach by the way, Rockets, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Rudy made some call him and Carroll Dawson. Next thing
I know, I was on my way down here.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
So you back in this time because you went to
San Jacinto and yeah yourself.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
So to me, like even when I was at saying
Jack shout out to bowman, my boy, oh my sneed.
I used to go to Beaumont. He used to take
me all around Houston, and I used to straight up.
I used to visualize like going to the summer, like, man,
what the fuck ab I play here? And then you know,
when I came back, it was just so much of
an easy adjustment for we knew in the city a
little bit already in ninety six, so I knew when

(04:29):
Scowl started.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
That's what I wanted to get into. You come down here.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
I came. I was like, man, what you know?

Speaker 4 (04:34):
We listened to go go so I heard oh my boy,
oh my keept playing and shit over and over in practice.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
And then I went to some clubs in the city
in Houston, Carol Maker Maker uh or Jamaica, Jamaica.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
I went to Carol of course a million times. It's
my spot, so I've been there. So and then, you know,
I really knew back then that I was eighteen nineteen.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
You know, that was like thirty years ago. So you know,
the city grew on me back then.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
So about around this time, Key Key, south Side, Matt
pat Man, you had all of.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
It, So swingers and all of that.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
I mean, I'm eighteen, yeah, man, what the heck is
all of this? So it was a whole new environment
that I adjusted to that. You know, that took me overnam.
So you know it's been it's been a while that
none said that.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
So you went to college, you're in ninety seven, ninety eight.
Then you now you're back ninety nine drafted, Rockets got you,
You're coming back to the city. Of course, you're a
grown man at this point. Now you're not eighteen no more.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
You're a grown man from a Maxis two thousands, Max
two thousands Phoenix you uh me and there of course, Yeah,
what's your mind frame coming into the Rockets ninety nine
season because it was a lockout that season as well.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
The season before season before was a lockout.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
So I think a lot of people are able to
see me at Maryland University play because it was a lock.
Oh there was a shortened season, so it was it
was basically showtime, you know, basically got you know back
here in Houston.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
You know.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Of course, originally it was supposed to be myself, Catino,
Charles and Kuemen. Of course, you know, they got injured
and you know, the team was kind of turned over
to some young players right over cap and being in
Houston and young, you know, it was so much that
was going on at the time, so you know, it
was it was a learning process to be the quote
unquote franchise player of the basketball team. But but financially,

(06:24):
you know, I'm with my whole family out here, you know,
so everybody was straight and it was definitely a welcoming feeling.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I was gonna say, you said, it's a welcoming feeling
from the city. But like you say, you moved your
whole family. How did that part feel now being able
to really not gonna change your life, but other people
lives as well.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
At that time, a lot of people struggling more footed
and one foot out, so we couldn't have that, you
know that the NBA always looked for it and I
don't know if they're still up to it, but back
then you had to make sure that everybody's in their
right position in the early two thousands, so it was
only right, you know that we that we definitely made
a transition down here.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
So when the family straight, you can go out there
and focus and play ball, you know.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
So I wouldn't be getting all those costs of ASUM
in Vancouver. I got them family cause I long for
that time. I have to fly fifty people to candidate.
Get taxed again, man, So all of those things kind
of played, you know, a part.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Into rookie point guard you in the league, got Rudy
t you know, championship DNA with him as well. What
were some of those practices like as a rookie coming
in and not only you know, fighting for a spot,
but you know, just trying to make the people know
that you belong like it.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
It was tough, man. You got the big Africa. Ain't nobody,
ain't nobody bigger than dream in Houston any sport. So
to be able to play alongside him my first year,
that that to me was a blessing. So a lot
of the pressure on the court as far as who's
going to score the most.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
That's in my mind. We know we're gonna give him
the ball early.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
So off the court, we already knew what type of
you know, businessman he was. So it was a bet
words early. You know in my career, both on and
off the court.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
When you when when you got into the league, who
gave you your welcome in the moment like they gave
you buckets?

Speaker 3 (08:11):
So yeah, that nigga man Baltimore.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Ass talking shit, cash shit.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
So yeah, man, So he told the story, and I
know the story, but it was my first game, so
for him, he had to make sure that he did
that to me because my one time I played in
Baltimore there where they called a Baltimore Dome. They should
call it the franchise though, you know what I'm saying,

(08:38):
Oh what DC saying about them they needed at Baltimore Dome.
I had a game in it one day as a kid.
I was like seventeen eighteen before I came down here
to Saing Jack and that's all the best basketball players
from DC and Baltimore played and I had an opportunity
to play in one of their games. You know, it
was one of the most talked about games in the city.

(08:59):
D that's that's that's right.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
So who Sam said at the time with the Minnesota
he was with the Buck Buck Milwaukee, Big Ray Allen.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Allen, uh that Dobbinham Urban Johnson, big.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Tail ass in the midpy Ham him in the middle
in the middle.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Big Glenn. Get forgot about a lot. Yeah, he gets
forgot about a lot.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Bro' that man, Like, I don't know who's our three man,
but it was it was like twenty five or better.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Every time he's just going, he's gonna jabb So as.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
You saying that, you said, like twenty or five of Buck.
Is this something y'all like? Cause we know we're on
the outside again, we're fans, were watching the game. We're
gonna really get to hear a lot what's going on
on the court or behind the scenes with y'all players.
But when you're playing a game and you got somebody
over he just just getting off and he ain't your guy,
Like it's something do you do?

Speaker 3 (09:51):
You like, man, what the fuck is this?

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Is?

Speaker 3 (09:54):
He gonna keep burning you the whole game?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
So you do you're saying something.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
Asking him, man, what we gotta do? You need help
with cleaning? Me up with that.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
So a lot of people pride you on the line,
like like when Kobe like you know that's any help,
don't say you don't need no help.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
So you've seen some players actually trying to hold Kobe
bean by theyself knowing they need help.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
And he just looked like, man, you better tell him.
I'm like, man, look I already told him, Coke, I
already told him. So he looked at me, and I'm
looking at him. I might have to go with him.
But yeah, man, those those games, you know, a lot
of body things would tell a lot back then. The
Mikes weren't as much on the court, y'all now, but
you could pretty much tell what somebody was saying.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
You had some battles with Kobe. Let's talk about it.
Like you you you.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Had some battle like it kind of went like street
ball at one time. Man, when you when you and
Kobe went at it one year it might have might
have been two thousand and might have been two thousand
and seven, y'all played h y'all was in LA and
you you caught him with some crossover. I mean it
was I it was.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Sick you playing against the best player at that time
to me, I thought, you know, with Mike just returned,
playing against Michael Jove with the Wizard was just an
accomplishment for me just to be on the court with him,
you know, even though I from Washington and I used
to practice with him in the summertimes in DC, but
to play with him on the court was great.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Then after that you got Kobe, Like, that's the best player.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
So being in the Western Conference, you always had you
had your stocked and you have been naxt so you
got Jason kid, you got all these guys. But then
you see Kobe in LA with all the lights at
so and he made you want to play hard on
both ends, especially on defense. I remember in the All
Star Game he was complaining about that. So, uh, all

(11:44):
those games were so memorable to me, just to play against.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
He was rookie by the way, right, yeah co rookie.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
Year, But that one went to Duke, So I knew
that was going to happen.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Yeah, for sure on that ship. Uh let's let's take
it back to say you're ninety nine. It was a
two thousand slam dunk contests. You fence Tracey McGrady, What
was that experience?

Speaker 3 (12:08):
Like, Bro, it was a show Man.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
It was for me coming from college all the times
I say slam dunk contests on television, So there wasn't
like I practiced any of those dunks with me and
Contino probably practiced a couple of those dunks. But with
the drilling, the flown, with all those celebrities sitting in
the front, and you know, my peers, other guys that
I played against, or played with or wanted to play

(12:30):
with were there at that event. So I was happy
for the whole All Star experience. And then I was
with the shoe company Rebox, so it was it was
just so much that came with it, besides the dunk contest,
but it was such an experience.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah yeah, I mean just watching you throw the ball
up and going giggling like, who is this guy here?

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Is hot flying at this height?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
You know, it kind of reminded me of I think
you had a little bit more ups. Shout out to
Baron Davis. Uh yeah, that's my guy, loved So we're
gonna get into that one. But yeah. But yeah, so yeah, man,
you know for the short guys.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
You know, in college, me and Baron we was killing
like we were dunk he So it was for it
was for the smaller guy that was up against those
high flying guys.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yeah was it? Was it ever a thout coming to
the game.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
You're gonna get somebody like where they like a goalie,
I'm gonna get somebody's day.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Like like regularly. Yeah, every game, like every single game.
I was like, man, I got it. Doun my brother,
my brother, Oh you used player? Are you? You know?
Most importantly, my family want my brothers in the making.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
So you had that. Okay, make sure I rebound the basketball.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
That was the most important thing.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
That's why you know, I proud of myself in rebounding still,
So that's all they wanted to Once you do that,
just like Rudy, like any coach, as long as you
play some defense against some rebounds on the other end
of the quarters, up to you to take care of basketball.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Share that. So you played with dream, you had dream there.
What was it like when you.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Got yeah, Elvis, Elvis came remember that song, y'all mean yeah,
I mean y'all, I mean so, so at that point,
that was a transition of US as an organization as
a city to compete with the LA Lakers, to compete
with all these Western Conference teams that have been beating
us up. So we knew the transitional Haqem, So I

(14:28):
thought that we were putting the right pieces for us
to continue to compete in the future. But it was
so surprising to see somebody that's tall with that much
of an impact worldwide, but also in our locker room,
because we had to see him being handled by media
asking him does he know English? Does he want to
eat this? Doing commercials on game day? Yeah, it got

(14:49):
to be what I'm saying, So just to see him
and then you know the rumors are true, how much
he had to practice with the Chinese national teams in
the summer times.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
He was still working out non stop. He come back
and give us us all.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
So it was a lot of other things off the
court that a lot.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Of respect for him and his family.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
How hard is doing the NBA though, Like you know.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Everything got clicked, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
You know, you can look at the locker room and see
who came to play as a captain. You know who
was out last night. You know who had to worry
about tickets before the game. So you gotta try to
it got to be consistent. You know, everybody like I
think Oklahoma, you know, despite them winning, they grew into
each other, all those guys, And I think that's what
Email is doing with the Rockets. They're growing into each

(15:34):
other and the organization Rockets are letting him pick.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
You know how he wants the culture to be.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
You got that in Miami, you got that where he
came from in San Antonio, and Boston where he came
from with m Rover. So all those culture type teams,
those are the tough teams that you want to be,
you know, associated.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
With what what what player right now remind you of
yourself right now?

Speaker 4 (15:58):
Man, all these young guys can jump. They dribble so much,
you know what I'm saying. It's just so analytical. And
you know when you see somebody training, a lot of
them training a lot of the moves. But I think
all these guards, that all these guards are John.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Moran man, that young man I talked to his pops.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Man surely definitely got the goods both on both ends
because he's gonna strap up too.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
So I just like to seeing all of them compete. Now.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
You know, we we know we can sit up here
with the guards, you know, uh, you know the ones
all day. But You know, we always talk about handles
from the guards.

Speaker 3 (16:37):
You know.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
You always hear Kyrie Irving, We always hear Rod Strickland.
We always hear Tim Harkaway, we hear Ai, we hear
Steph Curry. But we gonna hear your name as much
as we should. Why is that because you was one
of the coldest it.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
Is, you know, it's it's about what the people like.
You know, I can't complain about being co rookie. Yeah,
those stripes in the Vancouver thing hit me in some
ways throughout my career.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
I mean I know that, but none of them they
can check me.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
No, this this is a known fact. This ain't him
just too in his own These are facts.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
But I mean, it's it to me. It was.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
It wasn't like I was trying to go out there
and execute it on one person. Maybe some show times,
but it's all about reaction, you know, somebody come. You
got to be able to to be able to wiggle
wiggle around.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
So so you in age town, you having you're having
some success. You and y'all, you and Cat y'all having
some success. And you know this, this is a business.
You know, the NBA, any French, any sports franchise always
a business, and you get that call or maybe you
had heads up that you're being traded.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Took Orlando magic kind of.

Speaker 4 (17:49):
Somebody told me, like I went to the Kentucky Derby
in May before that and I remember it was rain.
This was my first time in Kentucky at the derby
and one of my guy was like, man, somebody told
me want to.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Play with y'all.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
I was like, man, you gotta be bullshit. So I
get back and you know me, I go to the
Toyo sitting training. I see I see him in the
office him another coach with another team, playboy, what's up?
Heard him getting traded? And you know it's political, And
this one knew. I said, what's up? I heard him

(18:23):
getting traded? Yea, he said, you hear those things all
the time. I can laugh about it, right, Yeah, he said,
he hear these things all the time.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
So I'm like, damn, I know I ain't getting traded.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
Then he's like, so the other coach just sitting down
like he looks scaredy shit.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
No know what's up?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
You know what when they just talk about trading.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
So I go work out with Jeff's coaches and you know,
probably a week later, I get a call, so I'm like, damn.
So I was shocked because and then, yeah, you know
what I'm saying, I was young, but probably what twenty
four twenty five, So I was young with not that
advice because the way that we were building the organization,

(19:06):
it was just like Fann, like you just said how
it was to get Yeah, I'm like, shit, we just
we just we lost to the Lakers off a couple
of shots. You know what I'm saying that that you're
in the playoffs, even though you know we had a
pretty good series. We lost to them, but I thought,
you know, we was gonna keep building up for that
and then that, you know, it took me a while

(19:27):
to come to.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Grips with it that summer, even go to Orlando. But
I had one of my best seasons when I went
and played in Onlando.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
So yeah, I mean, you got you know.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
That's why I always say it's a business, but it
also sucks because you feel like, you hear, this is
home franchise. I think I'm gonna start hurting me and
y'all building homes. I got a home, my family is
here now, and all of a sudden, now you tell
me on trade, I gotta be gone. So that breaks
me to my point where here where where the media
of the people try to get magged players for taking
control of their own distance Like man he left he

(20:01):
like Kevin Durant, you know he left Okay and went
to Golden State won and woo woo woo.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
Don't they don't like that. I love the fact that
I got control to do whatever I want to do,
just like now when like as a human being, you
have a choice to be single, you have a choice
to be with somebody. You know what I'm saying. If
I ain't married, I can do what the all I
want to do. I can sleep with whoever I can.
I can, I can, I can hold around.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
It shouldn't be a proud.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
But it's the same thing with that, like I'm gonna
take control of what God got because the owners are
gonna take control of what they got.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
And France, you know, we live in the world now,
they'd be like, well, y'all players should just shut up.
Y'all making millions of dollars, the owners making.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Billions off y'all backs.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Jersey said, what sir, door sounders make up two hundred
and fifty million in Jersey sale. Guess what he brings
home fourteen million.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
That's bullshit, bro, But it's business. This is what you
sign up for. Ain't nothing you can do about it.
Either accept that or don't play.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
So I look at the owners and because they get
the TV deals, the billion dollar deals, all twenty eight
NBA owners or thirty how many is and they all
had money all spread around, bro.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
But then it come down to the players. Oh man, man,
he s posted to stit there and stick it out,
Like I'm not sticking shit out, bro, Like I'm gonna
go where I want to go, and I'm gonna get
a bag wherever I go.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
It's supplied the man.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Like you said, with the owners, it's their side job,
it's their side hustle. So you got guys the former
you know, the former owner of the Rockets, mister Alexander.
You got you got guys who have other big you know,
other big businesses. So the players association. The pression that
I think now is andre I Cadala, who's a player.

(21:49):
So I think, like what Steph Curry was saying, they
definitely looking to get as much as they're getting paid,
and unless they getting paid, they looking to get interest
in some teams somewhere or they're gonna.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Go elsewhere, which which I totally think it's actual Aba Africa.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Now they Gotbia Europe.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
So there's so many different opportunities for owners to expand
that's why they give me cub a hard time with
Big Three.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Yeah, like they didn't want that to happen at all.

Speaker 3 (22:16):
They don't want it to happen. QE.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
Look look what he Look what he brings with busy
Look at man. That's they needed something like that besides
the NBA something league. Yeah, because that's a system, that's
a farm system, NBA something people want to see real hoop.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Man. I think you did a great job with the
Big Three.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
It's definitely locker rooms. Any any fights in the locker room, man,
this nigga.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
Dream man, Man, dream nigga. Man, this dude one of
our players. Man, try to say African joke the dream
in the locker room. Man. So I'm this is my
second year to me and cats sitting there, you know,
were dressing and then the TV or you know, you

(23:02):
got the TV in the locker room and just some
stuff came on TV. This got at the dream face there. Oh,
trying to talk African man. Dream got up. Man see
that a man was me Cat moved. He was like, man,
just really just say something funny about Dream in the

(23:23):
locker room. I ain't never seen dream yar man. Dang
that that was the funniest ship.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
That's like the second time Dream to put hands on
some bodies.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Man.

Speaker 4 (23:33):
Max wasn't lad though, he like bax that ship. I
was like, you used to elbow people, man.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
I was like, damn shall you?

Speaker 2 (23:41):
Shall you?

Speaker 1 (23:41):
So you have well, yeah, you have some backgras against
h My question is I'm getting to h Yo point guard.
So you have some backgras against John Stocking? Uh chasing kids?
Oh what was your back was like with John Stocking?

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Of course? And call my a longe.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
Right before that in my first game, you know the
traditional right gets that picking roll mail man, elbow, you
put you on the ground, you talk fast loud as ship.
So I ain't know what was going on. And after
that that was like my first week. So Sam bust
Man like Sam said, I had Sam. Then I had
to go to Stockton. Then I had to go to

(24:20):
David's Start of Mind.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Then I had to go to Gary Payton, Payton I
know he GP.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Then I had to go. I had my first week,
had to play all these niggas.

Speaker 4 (24:28):
So I'm like, get let me get some rest, cause
you know Cato and them, they was real protective. But
they used to not let me go out at night
on the road because you know the Vancouver situation when
I went doing coover that ship, like I had extra security.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
You know, they was throwing batteries. You look at the game.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
So those first that first that first week, man playing
against those celebrity All Stars, guys who got names from
all America all the way to the NBA. And you
know I just had a name from college and a
little bit in the NBA, so I would have to
earn my stripe. So each one of those guys, I
made sure that they failed me either try to cross

(25:07):
them or dunk on them or the crowd. I went
away with some of their fans. I was gonna get
him one way to one way.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
To throughout your career in the NBA, any regrets, anything
you wish you would have slightly done different of any
sort of thing.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
I think I shouldn't have. I think if I had
stayed in Orlando with d White longer. But when the
coach that drafted me in Vancouver, Brian Hill, became a
coach in Orlando. I don't give fuck what they was
talking about. He wasn't gonna let me really rock. So
that's when the offense started to transition the more with Dwhite,
I started playing it too, and Jamia was definitely a

(25:46):
good point guard on both of us.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
You know, we played great together.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
So I kind of seen their vision of the young
guys moving forward.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
So that's when I got traded to the Knicks.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
But if I if i'd have known more at a
younger age, but I think I would stayed in Orlando long.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
When when you playing, you know, you gregor you Greg
as well, But when you start seeing other players come
to the lead, like do you kind of know like
they're gonna be a star. Like Dirk Nowinski when you
first started.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
You know what?

Speaker 4 (26:15):
You know, he came a year before me and I
and I seen when they had the old Reunion arena,
and I used to see him out, you know, not
really knowing a lot of English, but he used to
be out before the games working on his craft.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
So he had guys, he had veterans who really worked.
He had guys like a C. Green.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
I to see him out of Kiki Vanderwast, so he
had guys who had history of, you know, being in
the NBA.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
When he's with Dallas, I see a vividly.

Speaker 4 (26:40):
I used to train before games because I used to
be out there early too, So you know, seeing a
guy like that put that work and you knew eventually
he would turn that corner.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
And he did.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
How often when y'all boys turn enough man after the games?
Often when y'all boys turn enough.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Man, it depended hearing like in Houston, it was just
like for me it was home. But man, keep it
keeping a book after the games, bro Like even in
the summer times. It depends like and we had a
good game or a bad game, so you know muchie.

(27:17):
It was the oldest Contino myself, so all of us,
you know, we East Coast guys, so we we already clicked.
So majority of the time we just were we ever
going to meet up at everybody bring their own guests,
and it just turned to ten to twenty to thirty
to forty.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
To fifty ever been in practice. The next day hungover
in Miami, Oh Miami, Man, Me and Cat probably we
probably stayed out till like five six o'clock and I'm
looking and I'm just like, Jeff knows somebody know that
we out.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
You know, we had the big paint on South Beach,
looking at somebody looking at it.

Speaker 4 (27:59):
We get back, man, we get to the game, I'm like, ship,
I get in there. I just just sitting in the
hot to on a visit in Miami. I'm just sitting
in the hotel of Miami. Jeff just talking about shaking
his head looking at me and catch to shake his head.
I'm about there like this. Yeah, I couldn't even see

(28:20):
bro live in the game. I think I tied the game,
but I couldn't even see that. That was because, you know,
being a Western Conference scene, we never really got a
chance to stay in New York or I mean, we
only played those teams once. So we go to Miami,
New York. We're gonna, We're gonna do ye dang DC,
God damn.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
When I went home, yeah home, man, Like, yeahll was terrible.
When you went home, nobody way was Yeah, he said,
steal track man.

Speaker 4 (28:51):
Like every my family grew up on Jeff Malone and
wes Un said, yeah, Rod Stricken, Chris Webing and they
gave us a good spot. But once it went from
the Bullets to the Wizards. Yeah, yeah, after Jordan's and
that playoffs when Jordan's and played with Ron Strickland and
I think that was ninety seven ninety eight, and then

(29:12):
to Gil came.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Gil took it to another level though.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
Gil Gil Gil turned that city into a believe it.
After the George situation, he was averaging one hundred yeah yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
Home yeah with guns in the locker room. I got the.

Speaker 1 (29:28):
Give boy, man, but it seemed like, you know, from
a locker of players I meet, it's a whole lot
of karagie go like you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (29:36):
You know, it's all love at the end of the day. Yeah,
we love the game.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
With basketball, but at the end of the day we
make a tongue of money.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
So my question is this.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
It came up on Gills Show, So would you rather
have a ring or make three hundred million?

Speaker 3 (29:52):
The money the ring?

Speaker 4 (29:54):
As of today, especially when I seen the bubble, regardless.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
Who won, we want the b You got a problem
with the Lakers?

Speaker 3 (30:02):
Come on, man, the white is Mike young fella from ORLANDA.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
I showed him how to beat the one that won
the Championshipho won that the White won that championship for
the Lakers.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
I ain't gonna argue with that. I ain't gonna uge
with you on the man.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
Man, Kobe has some good games he played for the Lakers.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
I ain't gonna ugle with you know, the white biggest
thing in that boat. I ain't gonna lie the white
biggest thing in that bubble man.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Like you said, him and McGee like they should have
brought that.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Team back most definuence of business.

Speaker 4 (30:30):
Like you said, that was a complete business decision because
the next franchise player wanted what he wanted. Yeah, so
if those two players on the same page, you're gonna
get what you got.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
I also think it's I also think it's political too,
That's what I'm saying. I think some things shout out
to the White. I always think he said some things,
even he brought it up. He said some things to
some certain players.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
And it just at the time, he's not that Dwight
Howard no more, and you're gonna have a caschet like
that no more to be talking like that. But you know,
sometime you can say certain things certain players too.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
I seen when he was out there, like the frustration,
like that shit was eating him up, not playing Like
Shorty went from MVP every year he top five in
Orlando like every year, then he go to the Wizards
and the Hawks.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
Whatever.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Back was bad, whatever he was doing whatever, But basketball wise,
he's still that dude.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
You can't even now in the Big Three still playing
at a high level.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
I don't know if you want MVP, but I know
the ice Cube kind.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
Of put that that this this past summer on his back,
and I think that he delivered for the fans throughout
throughout the past summer for sure.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
Where you like right now, how do you feel about
the basketball right now?

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Though?

Speaker 2 (31:44):
The state of it right now?

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Ship everybody getting a chance to show their skills and
so many cameras out there, there's so many different trainers
out there. I just, you know, just hope that everybody
just you know, get your basic fundamental skills down and
then play with the ball later.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
That's what I did.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
All my ship was technical, but just learning how to
play with the basketball and watch other people before me
and watching the DC, the guys who I still connect
like Muchie, like Muccie was the top basketball player DC
when I was a kid, You're Nord, So imagine me
on the same team with him. Bought Williams like the

(32:23):
guys who came before me in my city. So the
comfortability with the people that I had around me when
I was a rocket was phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
No, I asked this your goat in your eyes. I'm
pretty sure it's MJ because you brought it up early,
you know, like j to goat.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
To all them dunks and moves like, ain't no way
nobody father or even younger, I ain't.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Never see Come fly with Me.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
When Tate Diggs hey acting food over the parking lot,
I forgot his name.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
Came Cain Caine was in the Jordan video. He was
in Come Fly with Me. He's a kid that man's
jump shot.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
Yeah, So growing up saying that, growing up looking at
a want to be like Mike and him being able
to conquer the Detroit Pistons.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
You got, you got, you got, you got.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
Marca Guire like, I've grown to know why Marchael Grire's
so because he coached me to the Knicks. So he
told me what they was doing, their plan to try
to assassinate any black anything. Jordan did so damn through
some good stories to hear from some older guys.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
But black yeah, black.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
Man man Lebron is a great man at once and
that everything.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
It's a lot of cameras everywhere, Kobe. Yeah, that's it's
black and code for you.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Okay, okay, I'm mean you know that's that's that's show is.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
The blood for them. Plus I'm forty and over. So ship, you're.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
Gonna sing a lot of great playoffs though, Bro, that's
the thing. You can play with a lot of great player.
You can sing a lot of great players with three of.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
The best centers of King Dwhite and y'all. Those are
three centers I played with.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Where you ranking still fit right now?

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Curry? Yeah? Seven mm hmm seven. I don't know who else.
Seven in the top ten?

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Your boy he from where you from? K he behind stuff,
So you got him in your top ten for sure.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
KT in the top two. I give KD boats heah.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
Man DC has some babbles for sure, your boat and
he and he and.

Speaker 4 (34:47):
He ain't finished. I think that uh the city gonna
open up and let him play. Uh email after email
talked that ship to him. He knows what he knows
what to do. Yeah, And I think the younger guy's
gonna look with more because it's the experience that he
had with championship players Olympics.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
His shoe deals is business entrepreneur.

Speaker 4 (35:06):
You gotta have somebody in there that's been through some
wars and came out victorious.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Anything, anything you if you could say to a young
player out there right now, there's on the cuffs. Anything
you would say to him right now.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
What I actually spoke to some people earlier about reaching
back out to some of our HBCUs, to some of
these guys some looks to get to the league. I know,
you know, I think the past couple of All Star Games,
they talked.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
About it, but there are a lot of underdogs.

Speaker 4 (35:34):
Similar to what coach did at Jackson State, now he's
at Colorado, and I think those things opened a lot
of doors and window to see that you don't have
to be mainstream to make it big. So there, you
don't have to be mainstream to make it big. You
know your your your mentality speaks for itself. And always
apply yourself every day to your passion, whatever you whatever

(35:57):
your bread butter is every day, just apply yourself.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Shout to Mike VICKI playing the night too on ESPN.
By the way, Vicky East coach, for sure, you got
the sun Jackson here in Delaware State.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
It's well yeah, ship Howard, my boy coach Howard basketball.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Can he blake so like, okay, a lot of and
that well he didn't went to college. Yeah yeah, yeah,
I want to do the flow, got baby all on it.

Speaker 4 (36:32):
That's when Felicia was shot with the college.

Speaker 2 (36:34):
And uh, Felicia was shot.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
Bill Cosby wife, Yeah yeah, to Roger you know, okay, okay, okay,
little history going on here.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
I see it people the.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
Yeah, yeah, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
You know, retired, you know from basketball, you play golf,
you go.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Man, just you know, it just depends what city I
go to. But for the most part, you know, I
do come. I do play in some tournaments, but Memorial
Park sometimes it just be.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
Crowded a lot.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
You think about coaching in the league college.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
And that my son is a little bit older and
I can really really focus of him being old enough
now I can really focus and look at basketball at
a different level. But besides that, I still have my
foundation Steve Francisfoundation dot com. You can check out a
lot of the things that we do here in Houston
and back home in Maryland also.

Speaker 3 (37:29):
So.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Then you cut you off.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
But that's something that is we're gonna I can't never
see other people talk about on show as athletes how
hard it is to be a father, bro, because you
a star. You're a star, right, not just a regular
pill on the bench, but you a star. The spotlight
is on you.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Answer those calls of those kids.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
You that your career, whatever you did, whatever you did
before that, you don't answer the phone for your kids,
you fucked up. So my main thing make sure that
my daughter don't need a man to take care of
my son understands what it takes to beer man.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
So that's those are the morals of.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
Me, you know what I'm saying of the things despite
my dad, you know, being where he was when I
was a kid, but growing up at my job taught
me how to be a better father.

Speaker 1 (38:20):
Also because I'm kind of I'll deal with that now
because I'm on the road every weekend.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
I got two girls, man, and the the teen and seven.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
Bro, And if I go answer that phone, man, it's
what you're gonna feel bad. They gonna go bad.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
Somebody gonna get cussed out for nothing, someone will get misplaced,
and you know you're just gonna shut down, and that's
that ship.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Yeah, and it depends on what kind of baby mom
you gotta go wive for girlfriend you got her. Sometime
they be like, see he he loved that more than
he loved y'all. So you also got you know, or
you know he you know at that age.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
And my daughter's now she's a sophomore in college, she
was at that age. Yes, there were a lot of
things that were kind of confusion, not because of what
was said in front of them, because your career is
something totally different from what they probably are used to.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
But as they get older, I think they.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Were kind of understand why you chose your career because
it's naturally yourself, that's your calling to do these things
right here. So you know, eventually both sides will understand
that this is the calling.

Speaker 3 (39:33):
So you can help a lot of other people from
here and wherever you go.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
So those things are serious, like younger, like now you
got these Like younger, if I had time to talk
to really talk my stuff out, there'd have been a
lot more things that I could have said, But nowadays
people are able to talk more than we could because
we just chose two thousands. You go to a club,

(39:57):
or you buy a car, buy some jewelry when you
just upset. Now you got platforms like this that you
can get some of that stress.

Speaker 2 (40:03):
Off for For yeah, there's the reason why I like.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
I love what I do, whether I go on stage
and do my thing or now in my coming and
now you know you have to go through things to
talk about things. And now I'll talk about in my comedy.
Now I got I got a little money. Now, so
now more people want to call me. Now it's not
to say how you doing. They need this, they need that.
And you could give somebody something one hundred times, bro,

(40:27):
and you probably notice. But the one time you tell
them no, you all kind of whole ass niggas and this,
that and the third bru It's.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
Like it could be people in your family. You know
that I'm dealing with that now.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Yeah, the family will try to rate themselves of who
they are to you, and why do they do that?
But when we all had we all slept in the
same floor, we slept in the same bed, But you
knew what I was going to do if I had
an opportunity now when I can help you out will

(41:00):
But if you just keep trying to beat me up,
that's gonna push me further and further away. And that's
what people don't understand. You keep beating me up, we
can't weak out and try to slide.

Speaker 3 (41:09):
Me all the time. That'll push you further and further away.

Speaker 4 (41:12):
Them slides all the time, and you're gonna still slide them.
You're like, how many times you're gonna slide the funk out?
Don't y'all see these two kids I got, they don't
care about that. That's what the that's that's those those
points right man, Like man, look man stop so yeah
it's and I know you you know you're a godfare individual,
So you know what you gotta do when it's trying

(41:33):
to break down and let them know, let the man
know what time it is, because.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
It ain't gonna stop.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
Now.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
You're just gonna keep climbing that ladder.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
Man you're with fake say like move the RIVERA say
move the river. But you know how it go man, Yeah,
it's completely full circle art also for sure.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
Man.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
I always try to tell people, man, you know faithful
that works is dead.

Speaker 2 (42:06):
Gotta have gotta have.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Faith, and no matter what you're doing, everybody's not gonna
like you. And that's cool, but you're gonna respect me,
you know what I'm saying. You gotta respect what a
person do. And I always like to give people their
flowers while you're alive, because they can't do nothing when
they're gone.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
So hit the bubbles up.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
So we just want to give your flowers franchised for
for what you brought to the game.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Just you were just Bro, just just the grit you had.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
Like to seeing you come down court pick and roll,
it's like you was already setting up your defender like
I hit him with this move, not next court.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
Next time down court, I'm gonna give him a hiszy
because he thinks I'm.

Speaker 1 (42:45):
Gonna pull up because I just pulled up previously. Now
I'm gonnaive him to his and then I'm gonna go
by and now I'm gonna dunk. Like for me watching
players these days, they gonna really set it up, Like
you know what I'm saying, Like, now I can play
with you like Kobe should do.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
I'm a toy with you. I'm give you here faith.
You three hit fakes, they're gonna jump, they're gonna come
down court, then.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
Do three hit face a game spin like you don't
really see players together.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
It's a lot.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
It's like I said, it's a lot of analytical and mechanical.
I mean, I see the same step back, I see
this set like a lot of those moves are are
the same.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
But again, I think KD.

Speaker 4 (43:20):
Might have said it a couple of years ago, something
about guys in the summer time not playing five on
five enough to get rhythm. So if you just consistently
playing three or three count five four three two one,
those ain't games. Up to sixteen, we got oh ball ball,
check up, a reset, so those ain't the flow of
the games that we used to play. So now the

(43:43):
shoot shoot, shoot shoot, but eventually somebody gonna miss. That's
what you need, that fourth quarter, the five on five
type basketball to get that experience. But yeah, man, I
used to just get lost in the game. I got
beat up a lot coming up. But when it was
my chance to go in and do the beat now
I made sure I may. I made sure they remember

(44:04):
me when I come inside.

Speaker 2 (45:30):

Speaker 4 (45:46):
So after American team lose, man, you got you got
people from Seattle making up dances about the Cowboy man Chinese.
I'm like, man, hold up, everybody got a dance about
the Cowboys when we lose.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
We're America's team, man, everybody's to give us bro like
and rightfully, so we put it on.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
I ain't gonna lie. I'm one of them fans. I'm
a terrible fan.

Speaker 3 (46:06):

Speaker 3 (46:54):
Man, I can do us like that.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Sure, you picked that money thing.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
You gotta get pass back. Man.

Speaker 2 (47:02):

talking about, said Mike Irving. And the ship we got.

Speaker 3 (47:10):
Said we gotta get too tall. We gotta get back.

Speaker 4 (47:13):
If it bring one hundred to come back, somebody come
talk to him.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
My prediction for the NFL season would be Dak Prescott
throw over four thousand yards. He would have thirty touchdowns
this year. He would have eleven interceptions, but I think
he'll throw over thirty touchdown. He have about eleven interceptions
and it could be back at m VP. Absolutely, I do,
I really do. Because we ain't got nobody here. We're

(47:38):
gonna be throwing the hill out the ball, Bro. I
feel like we're gonna be down a lot, We're gonna
be losing. He's gonna be throwing the ball, bro. But
I just feel like something weird gonna happen this year franchise,
Something weird gonna happen.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
Bro. We're gonna we're gonna we're gonna be twelve and five.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
We need some deef, so we need some Remember that,
remember that year before, what was the guy that they
head on an interception that he went to the Pro
Bowl that got hurt Digs. I did it one before that.
It was I forget this should be coming back this year.
It was somebody number thirty. But I remember the year before.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
When Brown was it in exceptions. I knew you're talking about.
Yeah he was getting off. He was yeah six returns
four returns there, Yeah, yeah, he was getting off. I
don't know, man, something about Dallas, bro.

Speaker 4 (48:20):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (48:21):
I like going to the game, the stadium looked nice.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
You want, you're gonna be honest, white cowbo ain't gonna
win ship.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
Be honest.

Speaker 2 (48:29):
They taken't too many white holes, bro, every nigger one.
I got a white hole. Bro, all man, I'm telling

she was like it was her dream that has sexual
a black man with the big pingers. I fucked it
up for a doug. She said, I want. I wanted
to have sexual the black man who had a big pingers.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
You got the right head coach because he gonna he
gonna go down through on them holes.

Speaker 2 (49:47):
And that's what I like about. Oh you're docal.

Speaker 4 (49:49):
Oh he's gonna get man. Look, he used to play
with me with the Rockets. I don't know if you
know he was.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
I know he played for the Spurs, he was with
he was with us Cat. He used to beat his
ass in practice.

Speaker 2 (49:59):

Speaker 3 (50:16):
Shot.

Speaker 1 (50:16):
I love him as a head coach. He's the man,
the lock of his player, and you can see he
has a winning formula. Yes, I wng up there in Boston.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
I done it with j T. I dunk it would
take him now. But I can come right here.

Speaker 4 (50:28):
If you look at his history when he was with Pop,
how quiet he used to be, like he's just looking
at Pop, Like, what the Fuck's I'm looking at our offense.
It's the same ship that the Spurs used to kick
my butt with that same.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
Dive man, I'm dunk and what was that like?

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Playing Timmy the poker man gernobile with the ball spot with.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
The big note.

Speaker 3 (50:48):
Used to be tired because I know I'm gonna try
to get thirty, but.

Speaker 4 (50:51):
I gotta run through them them too after doing all
these in and outs.

Speaker 2 (50:55):

Speaker 3 (51:05):

you got Jerry Rice, you got Terrell Owens, you got
Frank Gore, and you.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
Know all their sons was in the NFL. See all
got cut.

Speaker 3 (51:40):
You know what I mean. It could be a pecking order.

Speaker 4 (51:42):
It could be some guy in the front office who's
still upset that those legends had such a beautiful career
and sometimes it does drain them down to the kids,
but they're so good.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
They're also talent. I see to your son.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
Just and yeah, I'm saying I mean out.

Speaker 4 (52:00):
Of that and the situation the door was just embarrassing
to us as a culture. How from a kid, he's
been on television speaking about his dream. But if you
look at Texas right now with ars Manning, I mean,
they're blowing him up to be number one yesterday, the
same exact way his family raised.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
Still it's the same way should do it was raised.
