Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is the Chrissy Swan Show.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I know we've only just started, but stopped transmission. Last
night when I was scrolling Instagram, I saw a little
film of the Baker's Delight guys making these danishes.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Did you just drop all of the I didn't. I didn't.
I saved it. It's just arrived. I was drooling at
the movie. It's a little film.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
This is why I'm puffed, because I was running to
reception to see if there were any left for me
to have there.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Okay, so these look super fancy.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Okay, so what do you know?
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Pistasio puppy the cabinship and Bubby Hello. It's basically ntella
but pistacio. So what ntella is to hazel nuts?
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Pista? Your puppy is too Pistacia.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
I'm a big pistachio man, so it's.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
My favorite gelato flavor. End of story. Now these look
at them play? I see.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I'm not that like surprised because I've watched the video
one thousand times.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Look at that.
Speaker 4 (01:06):
I love that. Your algorithm is just Baker's.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Look at that piece of perfection, light, flaky pastry and
a little I'm salivating a little.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
I'm eating it, Eat it right now. Stop talking.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
I'm going to tell everyone what's coming up.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
We obviously are going to deep dive on the Gronks
podcast with Taylor Swift. We're going to hear everything she's
revealed about the new album, The Life of a Show Girl.
We're really excited about it, and also we're going to
ask your unpopular opinions. In sweeping statements, Chris is going
to continue to lose her mind over this Pistacio par.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
B Chrissy Swan show an album that I'm not nervous about. Yes, Yes,
Swifties and swift Deocrats. She revealed a couple of days
ago that there is an album coming, and today on
her boyfriend's podcast, she really explained why an hour and
fifty one minutes worth of Taylor.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
And Yesterday we found an exclusive clip of her singing
about her boyfriend and has brother.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
My brother is wrong brother Okay, all right, so they
are a bit gronky, particularly the brother. Yes, Jason Kelsey. Anyway, Jason.
For the first time ever, I listened to that podcast.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Will it be the last time? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:31):
My god, absolutely absolutely.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
You know what, when I looked it up, I really
got worried immediately because I thought, what if this affects
my beautiful algorithm? What if now I'm served up other
men talking about ball sports?
Speaker 4 (02:51):
I think that will happen.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Well, that's upsetting to me, Taylor.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Why anyway, Taylor's it was actually a really great podcast
a because she so comfortable be because it was so long,
such a long interview. She talked about stuff that she's
never talked about before because she's comfortable, she's there with
her loved one. And my instant takeout is Jason Kelsey's
a gronk like straight away that I nearly stopped after
(03:16):
the first two minutes because he did an intro for
fifty two seconds that you know I'll never get back.
I was in my yes, I was in my car
going do you want to shut up? I just want
to It was awful, and even she said, oh, thank
you for yelling for fifty seven seconds.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
That was great, so awful that we can't play it
on this show, or so awful that I can enjoy
it before this show's over.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Oh no, you can. You can play it.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
You won't enjoy it, and we will give a taster
to our beautiful audience.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
But I wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
I don't dislike anyone enough to let them listen to
the whole thing extraordinarily about My main takeaway is Travis
loves her and he tells her all the time.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Cringe.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
I know, it was really nice.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
He's so open about it, like in front of his
brother and everything.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
You know, some guys get a bit.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Ooh you actually that's nice.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah, that's a good trait that you don't feel like
you have to hide it in front of your other
Jim brows yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
And he's like, she's the smartest woman in the world, like,
no doubt about it, and you know, and he's not
being facetious, he's not being smarter us. And he said
she's the greatest later on, seriously, the greatest.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Songwriter in the world.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
And then she she goes, oh yeah, by my boyfriend.
But that would feel good to hear. So we are
excited because Max Martin is behind this album.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Not Jack Antonoff, who.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Not Jack Antonoff, which I was surprised.
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Because he did evermore in Folk.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yes, and they're really really really good friends and he's
the one in that famous video of them writing Getaway Car. Yes,
but I think maybe she's chosen Max Martin because this
is she said that we're going to get up and
dance to this.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Yeah, so it's a pop album, right, Yes, she's confirmed that. Yes,
I'm excited about it, and I'm.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Sure that Jack Antonov can make a perfectly serviceable pop album.
But Max Martin like, if you want a pop song,
you go to him.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Now, most of us don't know.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
About who produces and writers are and what they've done,
but we've done it a litt We've got a little
showbag for you so that you know the vibe of
this album. What's it called again, Secret Life of.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
The Life, The Life of a show Girl.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Hit, the Secret Life of Pets. I'm so excited for
this album. October third is when it's coming out. I'm
going to be setting a reminder, I don't know about you.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Before the end of the show, we will be playing
you the most important snippets from the Gronk podcast.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yes, you have to listen to the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
We know, we'll do it for you. Hey, next, we
want to get unpopular in sweeping statements. You can start
calling now in thirteen twenty four ten.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
If you like the.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Crissy Swan Show, it's time for this Friend's Swan's Sweet peace.
What is your unpopular opinion? What have you noticed that
you need to get off your chest? Thirteen twenty fourteen,
were taking your calls now? Now Olivia Dean sensational. She's
got that new song that everybody loves, wickerby Nas.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
I love her.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
You were onto her very early.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
I think it was like a year ago.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
It sounds to me like she's got like a Baker's
Delight Danish bread roll, the inside of a bread roll
stuck in her throat when she's singing or poppy and
I'm gonna I'm gonna get my pistacio Danish ready because
I'm going to recreate it. Please listen and imagine that
(06:43):
she's singing around a Danish.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
I've worked with you for a long time, and there
are moments where I've thought you were insane, but this
tops all the time.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
Really.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Yeah, it does not sound like that.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
It does.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
No, it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
You'll fight, not that I have any power to do that.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
No, you've really cooked it on.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
This is that?
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Do you hear the timer go offut I'll put a
diet coke in the freezer because it came in it
was warm, and that was so that I get it
out before it explodes.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Okay, Scott's running to grab that.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Oh no, I can do that. That's all right. You'll
fired anyway.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
You have no authorization, you've got a job anymore.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Just wabe statement, Jack, what's yours?
Speaker 3 (07:26):
The worst word in the world, purely because of the
way it sounds, the way it feels to say.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Is it moist?
Speaker 4 (07:35):
It's not news? Okay, it's Degas station.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
What a shocking word, Degas station for such a beautiful theme.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yuck a Degas state.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
You're right, it's a disgusting word.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Well, it sounds like disgusting and guts.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
There's something about the gusstation. Not a fan. I agree
with you.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
We need to come with a new word, because what
a Degas station is is beautiful.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
One of the best things in the world.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
It's like a little show bag of all the best things.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Thirteen twenty four to ten. What is your unpopular opinion?
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Jack?
Speaker 2 (08:11):
They seem to still be here even if they disagreed
with my Danish thing.
Speaker 4 (08:16):
You were fired. That was the worst sweeping statement. You
do it today. It's stuffs a baker's delight voucher. If
you want to share your sweeping statement with us, the.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Crazy Swan Show just done a round of handing out
the pistachio danishers.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Did you show everyone what you think Olivia Dean sounds
like and put them in your God, I.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Don't know what you're talking about. That never happened.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
A Swan's Sweeping Statements. Jack says that the worst word
in the world is diga station and I didn't have
a sweeping statement this week.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
You didn't degas station. It sounds awful to say. I
don't like the combination of letters in there. I just
don't think it's it's I just think it's the worst
word word.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Absolutely, Hello, Joe, Hello, what is your sweeping statement?
Speaker 1 (09:05):
My angel?
Speaker 5 (09:08):
When they say, oh, she's off the gaps or he's
off the gap, I can't stand it. Mouth.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
I've never heard that she's off her guts.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Have maybe many years ago, but when people get a
bit of toxicated, they seem to start saying it.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
I've heard off her t id off, yeah, offer off
her head, off off.
Speaker 6 (09:34):
Why would you say that, Joe?
Speaker 1 (09:37):
You need to yucky. That goes in the same pile
as degor station.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
I've never heard it. He's off his guts, he's off
his head.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Is it a proper. Has anyone else heard that?
Speaker 4 (09:47):
No, I think Joe could be off her guy.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
No, Scudd has heard it.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Scudds from Adelaide.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Maybe it's an Adelaide thing.
Speaker 4 (09:54):
It's a country thing.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
No, he's off, he's got I've heard off chops, off
his chop chops.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
Hey job, we're going to send you a Baker's Delight voucher.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Regardless, Go and get yourself a pistache, your puppy, puppy.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Hey, Ashgar, what a great name.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
Thank you, good afternoon.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Or you sound like a kitten that I want to
play with, like a gray kitten with a darker gray face.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
What is your sweeping statement?
Speaker 7 (10:20):
It should be illegal to clean your windows while driving
with a car behind you.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Ah, you're getting the sprayback air.
Speaker 7 (10:29):
It's absolutely annoying, especially when you've got a clean car.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Yes, Ashgar, I get it.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
But sometimes you've got a whole lot of bugs and
stuff on your windscreen and it's like, what am I
going to do?
Speaker 1 (10:40):
I can't even see, But surely.
Speaker 7 (10:42):
They were there when you hopped in the car.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Yes, but dear busy Ashkar, how often would you do that?
Speaker 4 (10:50):
How often would you clean your windscreen with the wipers.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
Oh, when you put in the fueling, you know, give
it a bit of a clean then Ashkar.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Does it like a proper person, like you know with
squeegee at the Yeah, Ashka is really you're really organized?
Speaker 7 (11:03):
Aren't you throw the guy in the middle of the
road a couple of bucks at the traffic flight?
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yes, yep, true, I do. I do drive past one
of them every day. Who's offers that service? I'm going
to move on Baker's Delight, mauch f you.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Ashkar, those four out there are going to be doing
that in the next break.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Because they're all fired.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Pegging for Siggy. Hello Rachel, Hey guy, what is your
sweet statement?
Speaker 7 (11:36):
I think that traveling with your own pillow should be
normalized and you shouldn't get paid out for doing it.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
I mean, I'm not a pillow traveler, but I have
given birth to one, so I'm suppri I'm pillow traveler friendly.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
I'm an ally Rachel.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
We love you, now, How did do you what sort
of steps do you go through to make it not disgusting?
Speaker 6 (11:59):
Well disgusting?
Speaker 3 (12:01):
What do you mean?
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Well?
Speaker 2 (12:02):
I do think that it's a very intimate object, and
sometimes I see them on planes, and I think I
understand why it's here, but it feels odd to see
something from your house on my plane, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 7 (12:19):
Yeah, it's alloyed bad.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
It's in a bag.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
It's in a bag.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Okay, that's what we need in a fresh a fresh
pillow case.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Very annoying, Rachel, But we're going to give you a
Baker's delight.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
The Chrissy Swan Shows, The Chrissy Swan Show, Big Morning,
Big Morning.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
Chrissy's clique Fait, Big.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Morning for swifties and swift deocrats. We listened to a
footy podcast. I'm not the only one that's nervous about
my algorithm being ruined. Our friend Emma, who used to
work on the show.
Speaker 4 (12:55):
She was fired about half an hour ago, fire.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
For disagreeing with me that Oliviaan's sounds like she's got
a Danish in her throat. But she also was so
nervous that what she listening to the podcast would ruin
her algorithm that she watched it on someone else's ID.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Very smart, very smart.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
I have listened to it. Here are my biggest takeaways. One, Travis.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Really loves Taylor.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Not only does he love her, he's really effusive in
his comments about her intelligence and musical genius.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
He doesn't hold back on the good stuff.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
That's nice and like it is nice we sat at
the top of the show. The fact he does it
in front of his brother says a lot too.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
Yeah, and he's very confident to be himself, which brings
me to the fact that he doesn't know a huge
amount of big words. And he has said in the podcast,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
I know.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
He has said Taylor's very sexy when she uses the
big words. And I think she does these sorts of
things on purpose.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Example, you didn't really need to use fortuitous in this
sentenced her.
Speaker 8 (14:01):
The glorious fortuitous mistake of saying that to my fans
in an interview, you care those words mean?
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Okay, So if they weren't in the podcast.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
It would be on totally. Like that night in bed
she's saying, she's saying.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Fortuitous, very fortuitous for Tudors, that that was the safe word.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
For the night.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
She's just throwing it all out, you know, and good honor.
But see how well good humored it is.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
It's like it's light and fun. Yes, yes, he.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Is in solf now Easter eggs Taylor is famous for
dropping out little hints, and I never get them because
I'm not wired that way.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
My favorite from this new album, The Life of a
show Girl, was the fact that if you put the
Life of in a streamer at the moment, the first
album that comes up is the Life of Pablo by Kanye.
So I think she's called this album the Life of
a show Girl so that now she will overtake Conny.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
There is no doubt about it.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
I'm And the level of Easter egg that I get
is that the announcement for the twelfth album came at
twelve to twelve on the twelfth, But I only realized
that afterwards.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
And because twelve is her favorite number.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Right now, No, thirteen is a favorite number? How doare you?
Speaker 9 (15:11):
Well?
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Why is this? Because it's a twelfth album, right So
I did know this.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Anyway, she talks about Easter eggs, which is good.
Speaker 8 (15:18):
I'm always trying to figure out how to make music
into more of an event, you know. That's why I
love Vinyl. That's why I love Easter eggs or little
puzzles for them to solve, Like the Easter eggs thing
is getting a little Zodiac killer at this point, I'm like,
as long as they like it, you know, I'm never
going to plant an Easter egg that ties back to
my personal life. It's always going to be towards music.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I just love that this her performance and her gift,
it's her whole life. And I feel like because she
started so young as a teenager writing and releasing, yes,
she's so far ahead of the curve of everybody else
that she's now in the stage of what else can
I add to this? Everybody can really song? How can
(16:01):
I make this an experience? And that's why the RAS
tool was so amazing.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Yeah, it was the first.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Let's the light up bits, all of it. The Easter eggs, magic,
the Easter eggs. Yes, they She's big on numbers, obviously,
thirteen and whatever have listened to this.
Speaker 8 (16:17):
I love numerology, I love math stuff, I love dates,
I love certain I just that stuff like I find
really fun. I want Easter eggs to be a certain thing.
Where like, if you are a part of the fandom
and you want to experience music in a normal way,
you don't even see these, but if you do, then
that is there, you know what I mean? Like if
you know you know, you know.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
We're doing more of a deep dive on the podcast later,
but let me tell you I nearly didn't listen to
it because this is how Gronk Number one introduced Mike,
Queen and Savior.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
I was in my car going run it in, Jason
or I'm out. Our guest today is a singer, songwriter, producer,
and director from Nashville, Tennessee.
Speaker 7 (16:59):
That she has.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
She is the most awarded in the.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
History of American music.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Oh no, it's so crazy. Reminds me of Kermit the
Frog introwing the Muppet Show. It's shocking, it's terrible. Look,
it's a Taylor Swift kind of day.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Today.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
We're playing a lot more than Taylor than we normally
would on over one hundred to celebrate across the novs,
to celebrate Taylor.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
She has.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
She's got a new album coming on October. October third,
we know that.
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Now the Life of a show Girl.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
We've listened to the podcast, it's two hours. You don't
have to.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
We're going to be giving you the highlights throughout the
rest of the show. First of all, I want to
show you my key ring. I've had it for a while,
but you've never seen it.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Get Away Car. That's sick.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Do you like it?
Speaker 4 (17:47):
I really like that. It's get Away Car, one of
our favorite Taylor songs.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Yeah, and it's got a little car on it too.
Speaker 4 (17:53):
That's really cool.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
It's so cool. Thank you, Timmy.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
One of the great takeaways from the chat that Taylor
had with her boyfriend and her essentially her brother in law,
was about working with Max Martin on this new album.
And if you're wondering why you've heard that name or
what vibe you can expect on this new album, have listened.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
It's a record I made with my mentor, Max Martin,
and Shellback and this the three of us have made
some of my favorite songs I've ever done before, which
we are never getting back together. I know you were
Trouble twenty two, Shake it Off, blank Space Style, Wildest Dreams.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Yes, ready for It?
Speaker 4 (18:33):
So that's that's the energy you were.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Going with, delicate good, that way, how weird.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Yesterday I went Rogan dragged in ready for It because
I just felt like that.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
And look, it's going to be a great album.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
I can really feel it. We've got more grabs from
that podcast.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
The Chrissy Swan Show heads Up, who.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Has a tapped Old Electric Blue by Ice House into
the streamer since being reminded of it, because that song.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Good let's give away from barg Crissies Quizzy, Just Freeze,
Just freeze, Arthur. Do you know that song?
Speaker 6 (19:10):
I do?
Speaker 2 (19:12):
Ah, Adrian, do you know that song?
Speaker 6 (19:16):
Absolutely? That's taking us back in time. It's a classic.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
It is an absolute classic. You're of a certain age,
aren't you, Adrian.
Speaker 6 (19:22):
I am indeed guilty of charge your honor.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Ha ha, May I approach the bench In fact, may
I approach the bench press. I believe that you and
Jack need to speak about where you're spending a bit
of time.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Oh Adrian, have you turned into a gym bro later
in life? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (19:40):
Look absolutely, it's a bit of a sickness. Who would
have thought you could actually enjoy the gym?
Speaker 4 (19:43):
I know I'm there with you, man.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
No, a midlife crisis is the most wonderful thing that
can happen to anyone, don't you think, Adrian.
Speaker 6 (19:53):
Look enjoying it. The inevitable injuries aren't funded. That's okay,
and you're going to move through these things.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
She's you're a snappy talk are you in sales? Adrian?
Speaker 3 (20:02):
Not in the slightest what kind of what kind of
injury Adrian twisted testicle's talking about.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Okay, he's very good.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
He's very on the money there. He's like a like
a TV game show. Yes, all right, now, afth, we've
sort of ignored you, but sorry about it.
Speaker 10 (20:21):
All right, let's chance he.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Does, doesn't he. He's quick on his feet, Arthur, your
names are your buzzes.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
It's the best of five, meaning the first person to
get three outs Cret wins the game gets the bum bag.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
And there's other things in it too.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Question number one, what is the name of Travis Kelsey's podcast?
Arthur New Yeah, the time I see your name, I
want to say it like this, I say, Arthur, like
Ruth Kracknell's character.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
He wants the bags a bit naughty.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Isn't he?
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Question number two, which chess piece can move only diagonally?
Speaker 6 (21:04):
Adrian?
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Adrian, that would be the Bishop. It is the Bishop.
Are you a bit of a chess guy?
Speaker 6 (21:11):
My son's actually a discovering chess so it's an interesting
to learn from him.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
So is my daughter, and she's a real gun. It's
like you know that. Yeah, I think being at the
Queen's gambit.
Speaker 3 (21:21):
Being able to play chess or enjoying chess is quite
a flex i reckon.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
It is too pretty boss, but no idea.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Neither could not tell you how to play.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
No question number three. Steve Martin is celebrating his eightieth
birthday today, Happy birthday, Steve. Can you name just a
TV show or a film that he's been in? Yes, Adrian,
three amigos, Three amigos, classic old school.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Old school for no points at all? Who are the other.
Speaker 6 (21:46):
Two, Chevy, Chase and Martin short?
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Correct question number four.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
The Victorian Seaside suburb of Mount Eliza is set to
be the next home for which Australian reality TV show Adrian.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yes, Adrian the blog.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Correct and you've got the bum bag, Adrian. Now we
want to put something cool in it. I'm gonna let
Adrian choose.
Speaker 4 (22:11):
Okay, I like this.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
What would you like?
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Would you like to go and see the love Story
of the Year The Naked Gun. We've got tickets to
that with Pam Anderson and leam Neesan. We've also got
an amazing Nioxen pack for hair rejuvenation.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Let's say that, and also a Baker's Delight out you.
It can't go wrong.
Speaker 6 (22:31):
How about we go to Theoxen for my partner. I'm
sure she'd love that.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Oh yes, we're going to blame it on our part.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
A one hundred dollars gift pack from Nioxen for thicker,
fuller hair and Arthur, I'm going to send you a
Baker's Delight voucher, my man.
Speaker 6 (22:44):
Lovely, thank you hooking. Have a good day.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Yeah, what a lovely couple of men.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
They should date.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
I think they might not be.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
We were talking about midlife crisis.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
True The Chrissy Swan Show, The Chrissy Swan Show. Thanks
to make his delight. Go and grab your the pistachio party.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
I give it what you do a Champagne Puppy, which
is Drake's handle on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Big Danish.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
They are available now and they're delicious. Now, let's let's
talk about the biggest story of the last twenty four hours.
Apart from Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
There's a guy in America. He is just a teenager.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
He's eighteen years old, and he's gone over to the
US to follow his dream of playing football.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
He plays for Nebraska. Enormous opportunity, it's so.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Great, but he is a long way from home and
he can I just can I just table this first.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
I say to my kids, there is no sickness.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
As bad or as awful as homesickness.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
It is the worst.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
It is the.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Worst, and I suffer from it so badly. I've flown
back from almost every holiday.
Speaker 4 (24:06):
I've cut short because you're home, because.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
The ache to be at home physical pain. And I've
suffered from this as a child, my whole life. Thirteen
twenty four to ten. By the way, what is the funniest,
most ridiculous story that can illustrate your homesickness? Because this guy,
everybody's talking about him.
Speaker 4 (24:30):
Everybody at you Wilson, We've all been him before.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
He's done a press he's done a press conference. He'd
be prepped for it. He's thinking, I'm going to talk
about all my skills and everything. I'm a novelty, I'm
from Australia. And then he just broke down the minute
they mentioned his family.
Speaker 9 (24:44):
First time you're away from them. Yeah, thats hard, I mean,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 11 (24:55):
Yeah, I love it a lot. Yeah, I got two
little brother a moment. Yeah, that's the tough part about
being here. I love them a lot and I miss them.
But it's a I mean they know this is what's
best for me.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
You can hear him trying to get back on the rails.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
And when you break down, I was like, you swanning it.
My whole childhood I was homesick and when you start crying,
you really you cannot stop it when you're homesick. I
am so impressed at Archie too.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Because I've spent many half an hour on the phone
to my mum, balling, balling, what is your Please just
tell us, because we are two silks.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
Are any of you?
Speaker 4 (25:40):
They're fine, doesn't they're.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
Tell me your amazing homesickness story.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
My biggest one was probably oh there's one. There's either
one at school camp or one at a friend's house.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Give me both of them because they're so it's so unique.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
The first one was at my friend Kieren's house and
my parents were hosting in party. He lived a kilometer
away and his parents owned an Airbnb. I remember, and
it was like really novelty. It was a novelty and cool,
how fun? And I remember getting there and being all
excited and I just remember twenty minutes in, like this
wave comes over you, and I'm like twenty.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Minutes normally it happens at bedtime.
Speaker 4 (26:18):
Oh no, mine was within twenty minutes. I remember it
was daylight.
Speaker 3 (26:21):
They were giving me a tour of the Airbnb and
we got to the tennis court and I was like,
it's along in my.
Speaker 4 (26:25):
Throat, I'm going to cry.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
And then it's just like you put off asking, You
put off asking to call mom and dad, and then
you said you're like, oh, feel sick.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
How old were you?
Speaker 4 (26:35):
I would have been like nine, eight or nine?
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Then and did you call Wendy?
Speaker 9 (26:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (26:38):
And they came and picked me up. And then I
remember I couldn't sleep that night because they were having
a dinner party.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
And were they angry?
Speaker 4 (26:44):
No, I think they.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
I think I'm never angry.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
I think I'd been homesick before. And then the other
one was at Mount Evelyn in Victoria in school camp
in year seven, and I got upset. I remember for
every night I was there, out to borrow Miss Cannon's
phone before dinner to call.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Four ten. Have you been so home sick? You have
to call mommy? Here's mine. This is the best one.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
I mean literally, every single time I've left the house
as a child or a teenager or a grown up,
I get homesick, But this is the best one. That
was where I grew up, right, yeah, little grow And
then I was here at my friend's house. I've crossed
it on the map so you can see.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
It got to about eight o'clock.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
We've had our showers, and it was I was facing
the option of going to bed there and I just
started bawling like Archie, and I had.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
To call mom on Ni Kelly phone, going, Mom, can
you see And she had to come and get me,
and that she was she was wealthy.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Was she here?
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Oh yes, of course because she nearly had a night
off from me. And then there I.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Was again, tell us your funniest home six years at
your homes Shout out to Archie and his family. What
legends less one show.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
We're talking about homesick.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Everyone's fallen in love with dear sweet Archie Wilson, who
was being such a grown up at a press conference
over in the Nebraska where he is pursuing his dream
of being an American football player. He's going really well.
Then he was asked about his family and being so far.
Speaker 9 (28:19):
Away from away from them. Yeah, that had I mean,
I'm sorry, Yeah, I love it a lot.
Speaker 11 (28:33):
Yeah, I got two little brothers and a moment dat. Yeah,
that's the tough part about being hit. I love them
a lot and I miss them, but it's a mean.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Straightening up now, yeah, straightening up. The reason I'm laughing
is because I've done that a thousand times.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Hard relate, hard relate.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
And also, Archie, if you're listening, I get it. You
miss them, particularly little brothers. You will go home and
you'll be so excited on the plane, and then you'll
get there and within ten minutes you'll.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Go on to go back to Newbraska.
Speaker 4 (29:01):
I hate them all.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Shout out to his family as well.
Speaker 3 (29:04):
I saw this morning they spoke to fits in with
Jason Lauren, they did the Today Show. They're really talking
to everyone about it, and I think that's very.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
Coreat and you and I Jack, we know there is
no sickness like homesickness, and I sell that to my kids.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
You know that I've had.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Calls from camps, and I've made calls from camps, don't you.
I've made calls from sleepovers around the corner with friends
that I love.
Speaker 3 (29:27):
I agree, and the sleepovers are tough. But I think
school camps peak embarrassing because there's three hundred other kids
watching your silk it up behind the cafeteria.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Phones are public. There should be a special home sure
where you can say things like Mommy.
Speaker 4 (29:45):
Jumaane, mum Cock, Brodie.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Are you a homesickness guy? You know that not everybody
gets homesick like us?
Speaker 10 (29:54):
Yeah, well I used to be. I I was ten
years old and snarky out for the first time. I
spent about twenty minutes the hour I came back home
because I just got so home. See, I crawled through
the window, then proceeded to crawl back into my mum's
bed and dob myself in.
Speaker 9 (30:11):
And.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
She even noticed that you'd gone.
Speaker 10 (30:18):
No, but I don't know why I snuck back through
the window. I could have just walked straight.
Speaker 11 (30:23):
In.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
You did? You did? You wouldn't do that? Next time?
Speaker 4 (30:26):
Baker's Delight voucher for you?
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Brodie, Hello, Joanne?
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Hello, how are you?
Speaker 1 (30:31):
I'm so good? Are you a homesickness girl too?
Speaker 7 (30:34):
I'm not usually. But when we got married, we went
to Europe for nine weeks and we were about seven
weeks into our holiday and Peter Allen's song I Still
Call Australia Home came on when we were sitting on
the train and I turned into an absolute blubbering mess.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
And then did you go straight to the airport like
I normally do.
Speaker 7 (30:57):
We couldn't come straight home, had to stay. We couldn't
get flights back home.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
Well that's lucky, because it costs a fortune.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
When you're home, you're desperate to get home.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
I know I've done it many times The Chrissy Swan Show.
I hope you've enjoyed our community services of listening to
Travis Kelsey's podcast for you, because it's about to continue
Chrissy's clickit all right, go back and listen to our podcast,
The Chrissy Swan Show if you want all the other
(31:30):
stuff that we've talked about, and you don't want to
listen to the gronks gronking on the podcast.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
And if you need to hear this exclusive snippet again
my brothers.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Yeah, that's track too on the new album. Speaking of now,
I'm doing this out of order because I've just.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
Spoken about the tracks.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
There are twelve tracks on the album that was leaked,
and that is true.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
There are only twelve. There's not going to be an
extra one.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
There's not going to be We're not going to get
excited about this album and then book wake up the
next day and have another fifty songs like we did
last time.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Taylor spoke about it on the potty.
Speaker 8 (32:09):
There's no other songs coming. It's not like like with
Torture Poet's Department. I was like, here's a dada jump
off everything I thought felt like a song in two
or three years. So here's thirty one songs.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
This is twelve.
Speaker 8 (32:20):
There's not a thirteenth, there's there's not other ones coming.
This is the record I've been wanting to make for
a very long time.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Oh my god, I'm so excited. I'm so excited.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
I'm excited that it's just twelve too, because the Tortured
Poets Department it was too much for me.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
It was and a lot of those songs were shocking.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
So I'm excited that Max Martin is just going to
produce twelve absolute bangers with Taylor.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
It's going to be like Reputation of nineteen eighty nine.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
I agree, it is going to be good. There's going
to be some boogie tunes in there there. Speaking about
the album is still she talked themes and that.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Sort of stuff.
Speaker 8 (32:56):
I would say it's everything that was going on behind
the curtain. My main girl were melodies that were so
infectious that you're almost angry at it, and lyrics that
are just as vivid, but crisp, focused and completely intentional.
Speaker 1 (33:14):
Yeah, I am so excited.
Speaker 3 (33:16):
I love the words and the language she used there
as well. Crisp and focused Taylor Swift songs are ten
out of ten.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
I agree like no more, but I love it all.
Speaker 4 (33:27):
But as in ifty. Yeah, I like crisp and focus
Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Yeah, she's smart to be doing that.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Now, you had a favorite moment that you were talking
to me about in the songs from the.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Podcast I did.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
What I really loved about the podcast is it's the
first time, well it's the first time she's ever done
a podcast, so that sort of long form interview we
just have never got, so that was great. Secondly, the
first time I could see them together and I just
wanted to put my spidery sensors in and see what's
going on. By the way, ten out of ten approve
from Lady Swan. Okay, cook, many many good green flags there,
(34:04):
But I loved this because if you don't know the story,
Travis Kelsey didn't know her, they'd never met, and he
made friendship bracelets because he was like, I want I
want to date this woman. I really want to to
be pursued like that is the most romantic thing that
could ever happen to anybody.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Also, low keep brave of him. I've got to say
it absolutely.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
But he did it and she realized something.
Speaker 8 (34:28):
This kind of felt like I was in an eighties
John Hughes movie and he was just like standing outside
of my window with a boombark, just.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Being like, I want to date you. Do you want
to date with me? I made your friendship bracelets?
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Do you want to meet me?
Speaker 8 (34:42):
So I was like, if this guy isn't crazy, which
is a big if. This is sort of what I've
been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since
I was a teenager.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
Yes, sir, and she went with it. Good on it.
I've got a countdown on my phone. There's fifty days
to go. Have a good Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (35:00):
The Christy Swan Show is a Nova podcast for more
great comedy shows like this head tonovapodcast dot com.
Speaker 7 (35:07):
