Speaker 1 (00:00):
It is Friday, October twenty fourth. This is the warning.
There are rumors of war in Washington, d C. More
and more American planes, men and ships are being deployed
to the Southern Caribbean in advance of attacks on Venezuela.
The President of Peace will start a land war in
(00:23):
South America and a lot of young American men will
be killed. The man who demolished the White House has
started a trade war with Canada, the nation we shared
the longest undefended peaceful border in world history with our
closest ally now. The Canadian government, or more specifically, the
(00:45):
conservative Ontario Province government of doug Ford, ran this ad
quoting Ronald Reagan about why tariffs are so terrible for
working people.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Let's watch when someone says, let's impose tariffs on foreign imports.
It looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting
American products and jobs, and sometimes for a short and
violent works but only for a short time. But over
the long run, such trade barriers hurt every American worker
(01:20):
and consumer. High tariffs inevitably leave to retaliation by foreign
countries and the triggering of fierce trade wounds. Then the
worst tactles, market shrink and collapse, businesses and industry shut down,
and millions of people lose their jobs. Throughout the world,
(01:41):
there's a growing realization that the weight of prosperity for
foreign nations is rejecting protectionist legislation and promoting fair and
free competition. America's jobs and growth are at stake.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Raffs are strangling the American economy. This isn't covered on
the corporate news, and it certainly won't be on stations
like CBS now run by Trump fellow traveler Barry Weiss.
The news that the economy is collapsing for working class people,
(02:22):
the news that inflation is soaring that prices are rising,
doesn't need to be relayed from a chair in New
York City by someone making twenty million dollars a year. No,
it can be felt in the checkout aisle. Ronald Reagan
would have despised Donald Trump everything that Ronald Reagan believed
(02:48):
Trump is against. Ronald Reagan believed in the dignity of
the office of the President of the United States. Donald
Trump has turned the Oval office into a bordello. Ronald
Reagan believed in freedom. Donald Trump believes in oppression. Ronald
(03:10):
Reagan was a Republican. Donald Trump is a fascist. Ronald
Reagan tore down the Berlin Wall, Donald Trump builds walls.
Donald Trump orders masked men to attack people based on
their skin color, including the shooting of a priest. Ronald
(03:34):
Reagan would roll over in his grave if he knew
that the foundation that dares to represent him a Nancy
Reagan would have sent a letter on behalf of Donald Trump,
who just destroyed the White House, demanding the words and
(03:56):
intentions of Ronald Regan be censored for the political benefit
of a fascist. He would have hated. Ronald Reagan was
against tariffs. And the argument being made that the ad
is misleading because two clips of Reagan are used from
(04:17):
the same speech, from different parts of the speech that
are consistent with the main point and the theme of
this speech is ludicrous. And it was ludicrous when the
same puile argument was used as the basis of an
attack on CBS that was settled by David Ellison, Barry
(04:38):
Weiss's boss in the form of a bribe to Donald
Trump lest the merger be disapproved by the fascist Brendan Carr.
The Reagan Foundation has allowed itself to be hijacked. It's
just another corrupt institution on its knees, capitulant. And I
say this as the person who came up with the
(05:00):
idea that Jeff M. Melton GA would donate ten million
dollars to the Ronald Reagan Library, which built the ge Theater.
That's right, it was my idea, and so as the
person who had that idea and the impact that idea
had on the Ronald Reagan Library, let me express my
(05:22):
deepest disgust with the board, its leadership, and the institution
that allows, for example, Kelly and Conway's book to pollute
the gift shop Souvenir stand profiteering from MAGA in a
place built to honor a man who was against everything
(05:44):
that MAGA stands for. Here's what Ronald Reagan believed about Canada.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
First, when someone says, let's impose tariffs on foreign imports,
it looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting
American products and jobs. Some times, for a short wile,
it works, but only for a short time. What eventually
occurs is first homegrown industry start relying on government protection
in the form of high tariffs.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
And here's what Ronald Reagan believed about immigration.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
This, I believe is one of the most important sources
of America's greatness. We lead the world because, unique among nations,
we draw our people, our strength from every country and
every corner of the world, and by doing so, we
continuously renew and enrich our nation. While other countries cling
(06:36):
to the stale past. Here in America we breathe life
into dreams. We create the future, and the world follows
us into tomorrow. Thanks to each wave of new arrivals
to this land of opportunity, We're a nation forever young,
forever bursting with energy and new ideas, and always on
the cutting edge, always leading the world to the next frontier.
(07:00):
This quality is vital to our future as a nation.
If we ever close the door to new Americans, our
leadership in the world would soon be lost.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
It's okay to disagree with Ronald Reagan. But if you
disagree with Ronald Ragan, and many millions of Democrats do,
don't be so blind or so arrogant to reject Ronald
Dragon when you need him and he agrees with you.
Donald Trump stands outside the circle of the American presidency.
(07:32):
He is a vicious man, a small man a broken man,
and he is a fascist, and he is wrecking the
American Republic, demolishing it in the same way he demolished
our White House, the same way that he's demolishing the
dreams of America's young people who can't find jobs, the
(07:56):
way he is demolishing the security of the American people,
whose healthcare premiums will soar, the same way he is
demolishing the retirement security of seniors, the same way he
is demolishing the security of young families who watch prices
go up every time they go to the store. Donald
(08:20):
Trump is a vandal. He's an arsonist. In fact, one
of the world's leading archaeologists just compared him to isis
a destroyer. It's funny Maga loses its mind when someone
dare says a statue of a Confederate general put up
(08:40):
in nineteen twenty or nineteen twenty seven or nineteen fifty
two as a symbol of racial supremacy should be taken down.
But doesn't bat an eye, It doesn't give it when
the monument being destroyed is the White House itself, a
clearly visible symbol of what Donald Trump is doing every
(09:03):
day to our most sacred ideas, ideals, and our values.
What an appalling man and we should not stand for it.
Ronald Reagan certainly would not have. I'm Steve Schmidt. This
is the warning. I invite you to join this community,
where I promise to be honest, blunt and direct about
(09:24):
what is happening in this country. America is in crisis.
