Step into the world of one of Big Brother Australia 2025’s most unexpectedly iconic housemates. Vinnie might not have taken out the title but his brutal “Jingle Bells” eviction has left a lasting impression on the viewers. Who are still getting over his snap eviction.

Fresh out of the Big Brother house, Vinnie relives the moment he was literally woken up and punted out of the game in seconds. He explains why, despite the shock, he now sees his eviction as one of the most iconic exits in Big Brother history and why he actually feels lucky he skipped the usual all-day eviction anxiety.

In this revealing conversation, Vinnie tackles the “fake” narrative head on. From Jane’s game-changing comment to Edward’s big public vote and Connor’s behind-the-scenes moves. He opens up about what the live stream showed that the daily episodes didn’t. How it felt to be branded fake while others quietly played harder and why he still believes he was “the winner without winning the show”.

We also dive into strategy, romance and life after Big Brother. Vinnie breaks down his real gameplay, the unexpected power of being the house barber, why he chose to stay single in the house and which couples he doesn’t see lasting in the real world.

Plus, he shares his pick to win, what the Dreamworld rides really revealed about a secret in the house and his hopes for a future in acting, presenting and music.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's in the news today, but it was actually on
TV Reload the podcast last week Their Life. Good day everyone,
Welcome back to TV Reload. I'm joined by one of
the breakout stars of Big Brother Australia twenty twenty five,
the charismatic, very handsome, brutally blindsided and now officially iconic Vinnie.
If you watch that jingle Bells elimination live, you'll know

(00:21):
exactly why this chat is unmissible. In this episode, Vinnie
opens up about the moment he realized the eviction was real,
why he actually feels lucky that he didn't have to
endure one of those long hour days of anxiety waiting
for an eviction, and how he now sees his funeral
as one of the most iconic moments of the season.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
We will get into the fake narrative that.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Kicked off when Jane dropped that comment and whether the
house ever would have turned against.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Him without it.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Vinnie also talks candidly about Edward's public vote, Connor's behind
the scenes moves, and why the live streamers actually saw
a different version of him. On the daily Edit, you
will hear him talk about gameplay, why he didn't unleash
the snarky moves, the unexpected benefits of being the house barber,
and we will unpack the romances inside the house, including

(01:09):
why Vinnie stayed single, who he thinks definitely won't last
outside the house, and yes, those answers might not actually
be that surprising. Vinnie gives us he's picked to win
of Big Brother twenty twenty five, and why he is
backing that house mate, and what the Dream World ride
interactions really revealed about how the outside world viewed some
of the things happening inside the house. And before the

(01:30):
end of our chat, we will talk about what's next
for Vinnie. Vinnie speaks openly about wanting to pursue a
career in acting, presenting, in music, and why he's not
ruling out a long term future in television. If you
love Vinnie on your screen, you're going to love him
even more after this conversation. He's warm, funny, grounded and
genuinely grateful for the support that he's received from you

(01:51):
all around Australia. So guys, settle in and welcome Vinnie
to the podcast.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Hello, Ben, how are you.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
I'm very well Vinnie.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
First of all, mate, I just want to say what
a brutal way to be exited from Big Brother.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Thank you for you condolences.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
A housemate from my season wrote to me after it
had happened and said, Ben, if that had happened to you,
you would have cried.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
I don't think you had time to cry, to be honest,
I think it was that quick, that brutal that you
didn't have time to cry.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Well, you handled yourself incredibly well, and honestly, full credit
to you, because I felt like you took it on
the chin in a way that I don't know if
any of the other housemates would have been able to handle.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Yeah, oh, thank you, I appreciate that's very calm words.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
This is the question I think a lot of people had,
was being woken up like that and then hearing this
jingle bells elimination.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Did you think it was real in the moment.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
No, honestly, Like I genuinely was asleep.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
I didn't even have jocks on, like I had my
boxes on, like my Guardians of the Galaxy shorts.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
I don't think I had a shirt.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
And I chuck on the out shit and then I'm like, cire,
I haven't seen this song.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Blah blah blah, I'm half asleep, put on a smile
because that's part of the challenge, and dang, you are
out of there. And it was instant. It was so quick.
It happened a lot quicker than I actually remember. And
then watching it like, yeah, that's that's what happened.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
That was my funeral.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
It made for some amazing television. But looking back, do
you think that it was a fair way for you
to leave the show?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
I define fair.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Big Brother is a social experiment where you know, the
surprises every corner, and you know, I mean, look, I
would have liked to have gone out winning the show.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
But in the moment, it.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Was pretty brutal. It was pretty brutal. But ultimately, looking
back on it, it's iconic as and it's hilarious and
probably one of the most brutal evictions of all time.
And I am proud to say that I was a
part of it. I left ten k richer, I left
with an iconic eviction. I left without youd know this
year on it mate, So you know those eviction days,
how long they just drag out? Oh yeah, like that

(03:45):
anxiety of just not knowing and all that stuff and
blah blah blah. I didn't get that, and I'm kind
of glad in a way, like I really flipped the narrative.
I really enjoyed watching it back. It was hilarious.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Well, talking about narratives, you know, the whole Vinnie's fake
narrative really kicked off. It really kicked off with Jane
calling it out. And I feel like this is a
suitable question to ask you do you think it was?
You know, if she hadn't ha said that that, the
house and the audience might never have ever thought you
were fake at all.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
I think I think that's fair.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I think that is fair to think, especially because of
how everyone was blindsided buy it. It was like it
was almost as though the people that had a lot
of respect.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
For Jane really valued her opinion.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
And the old age thing, man like, maturity and wisdom
does not come with age, so it comes with experience
and being able to maneuver through experience, Like I'm twenty one.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
And the first couple of things that people said.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
In the house was Oh, you're so mature for your age,
blah bah blah blah blah, and then obviously come and
bit me in the ass. But you know, I think
it says a lot more about them than me. But yeah,
it was interesting. I don't know if I would have
been called fake if it was if it wasn't said
by Jane.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
But that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
She got you know, every evict has their opportunity to
say something to the house, and that's her thing, and
she got her thing, and you know, out top of you, Jane,
You've got what you wanted. Ultimately, I think I was
the winner of the show without winning the show. I've
got ten grand I've got an iconic eviction Australia Sauga.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
I really was.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
I'm not a fake person. And that's the way Big
Brother is. Only one person can win.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
This is true, But I mean going back to that
sort of analogy with Big Brother, and viewers might not
necessarily know this, but if someone says you're a pizza,
then everyone has a slice, because then that becomes the story.
So I kind of felt with Edward going hard for
his big TV moment with that public vote, I kind
of felt like he might not have thought of that
or decided to use that had it not have been

(05:35):
put on the table.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
You know.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Yeah, I mean that's the thing, like everyone just lynched
to a word and I shared a bedside table. Then
for majority the experience, and then for him to have
all these thoughts and not tell me, I thought was
the most disappointing part. I can think, you can think
someone's fake, you can think all these things, but then
to ultimately be fake through them. And then it was
a weird dynamic, everyone thinking I was fake and then
ultimately being fake to me. Even watching back, there was

(05:59):
some clip of Connor saying his true feelings after the.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Whole jame thing, and I was so blindsided by that.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Me and I had some fun ass memories in the house,
and I still like Connor and you know, don't have
a bad word to say about him. Is a great man,
but he's ultimately playing the game as well. But majorly,
you know, it's yeah, majorly, but it is what it is.
You know, I know who I am. I know that
my family knows who I am, and I think it's
sad that being genuine and being kind is in today's
day and age being taken as fake.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
You know, to jump in at that point and say,
the narrative now has completely changed for ed You know,
Edward now is being accused of getting a villain. Edit
do you now think that it's right that we're now
seeing him kind of a little bit villainous.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Is that how you see it?

Speaker 5 (06:39):
Yeah, Well, the show doesn't go for two days.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
It goes for four weeks, so you know, four weeks,
I reckon's enough to show someone's full personality. Ultimately, I
left just before I could see everyone's full personalities. And
I think you know you'd know this as well. Big
Brother doesn't right the show. You write your own show,
So you know I was me in there being him
in there. Ultimately, that's it, and that's how it will
be shown. You can't really hide, especially with the live stream.

(07:03):
Like I've seen much love from the live stream as
well with like, you know, me standing up for myself
and you know a lot of people realizing that there's
actually a lot more Gospels in there than me, and
there's a lot more fake people in there to me
album one of the real people in there, man, Like.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
I know, but Big Brother Vinnie is a little bit
about that.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Like to actually do well in that show, I think
you have to talk about people because they're not going
to show you really on those episodes talking about your
mum and dad and the time that.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
You got the Easter Bunny to live it a eg whatever,
but that's the thing.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
That's what I watched a couple of the episodes back
and I'm like, damn, I'm not really in these Like
I wasn't really for the drama, to be honest. I
was a bit more of an ear for people and
a bit more of a shoulder to lean on. But
I wasn't one feel in the drama. I didn't have
a relationship. And obviously those times will get the more
we'll get a bit more of the screen and totally
fair because you know that's what we were all watching
in the house, so obviously that's what Australia will watch

(07:50):
exactly as soon as the whole fake input from me,
I was like, okay, well, time to handle myself well.
And I handled myself really well, very proud of it,
and ultimately so much love from Australia like they've seen
for me. And you know, the narrative brought itself, especially
with the live stream. Man, there are some diehards watching
the lives.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
They're watching a twenty four hours a day, Like there's
people that are genuinely addicted and I'm going to have
to bring some therapists to some of my friends. You know,
they're going to really struggle with their lives because they're
going to have to live their own lives.

Speaker 5 (08:16):
My non know had a portable charge on the back
of a funt.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Love to your not. I think that's amazing.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
You know when you went into the show, you spoke
very early on about strategy and gameplay.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I mean your bio video was one of the most.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Engaging of the season because you openly talked about being
a game player and that's what you were going to
do in the house. But can you walk me through
one example of gameplay that you feel like you actually
pulled off inside the house?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah? Absolutely so.

Speaker 5 (08:42):
Obviously everyone that said they weren't in there for a.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Game and just for the experiences of bullshitting, it's such
a lie. Everyone, ah, just here for the experience, Like, no,
you know what's at stake, you know that you can
win the life changing amount of money. You know what
you're in there for. Obviously everyone is so.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
I was honest and I said, look, it's big Brother,
it's a game. I have to I was very careful that.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
I worded it.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
I said, if I have to, I will my word
means everything on the outside, but in Big Brother, I
have to I will.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
I just don't know whether or not you pulled off
that move, though, like as in is it a bit
of an empty promise to say, I remember this one
guy went in there and said I'm a magician and
I've got secret cards and all the rest of it,
And then we never saw a secret card in the deck,
and so it's kind of like, maybe you weren't the
pressure wasn't put upon you to maybe play those big moves,
And then looking back, do you wish that you did?

Speaker 4 (09:27):
No, I think that's the thing, right, Like I didn't
think I thought it would be a lot more. I
probably thought the experience would be a lot more conniving
and snaky than I actually.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Experienced for myself.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Okay, from my eyes, Oh, they're just a bunch of
mates hang it out, you know. So I didn't really
feel like I should be doing any snaky stuff at
any times.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
It might be a little bit naive to think of though,
because if you could think, if you're now watching this
show back, they're going into the diary room and snaking
everybody like that.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
I mean, that's.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Absolutely and ultimately, you know what Sun every Monday morning,
you snake someone.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
It's the nature of the show.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Nature of the show, So I didn't feel like I
was being personally like vindicted at any time, like really badly,
to the point where I had to drop some dirt
because you know, obviously, being a barber a chamber of secrets,
and I cut a lot of the boys and you know,
had those times. And I'm not an idiot. I know
that being a barber you can have a close relationships
with people. So if anything was a part of the
game plan, I'll give you this a little bit. I

(10:22):
thought that cutting hair you could develop some good friendships
with people.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
And then Edward to bil though I think you know,
everyone else can still have their free haircuts, thank you
very much.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
But I think, you know, I think I should invoice
that book.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
I know where he lives.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Yeah, I was just going to say you, in my opinion,
I have to say this were the most attractive person
on the show, like in so many ways. I'm not
just talking about the fact that you're a good looking rooster.
There's so many qualities about you as a person, which
I think made you very appealing, and so it surprised
me in a way that you didn't have a romance
in the show, Like, do you think that had a

(10:53):
lot to do with the right girl not being in there?
And could you have ever imagined having a romance inside
Big Brother?

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Yeah, look, I came out of relationship four and a
half months ago around roughly. It ended amicably, you know,
not a bad not a bad way to say about
the girl that I was with.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
She's lovely.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
But I went in with the idea that you know,
this could happen and you know, blah blah blah. But
I didn't go in seeking it and old Rochel and
there wasn't there for me. I did have a relationship
with Stephanie. If you watch the live stream, you.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Know who that is. It was my pillow lucky girl.

Speaker 4 (11:26):
It's th under the missiletoe when the Christmas decorations are.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
Out that No, look, I'm a bit more aware of
you know.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
It's on National TV. It's not real.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
It's not the real it's not real life.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Like the whole Colon and Holy thing was very like
very like throwing deodorant cans into a fire, you know,
blown up.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
You know, So I was a bit more aware, like,
you know.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
This isn't real of any probably don't put yourself in
a position.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
But look, if there's you know, if there was something there,
don't completely bury it, you know, but didn't go in
seeking it.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
That's a really good question about relationships that did exist
inside the house. Who do you think will actually stay
together after the show? Bruce and Hoko or Colin and Holly.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Oh no, one fair.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
Bruce and Koko aren't going to see each other on
the outside of this in a serious way. That was
communicated with them early on, early on in the show,
and I think later now, I think it's a bit
of it's a bit more of just excitement and a
bit more you know, kids not being kids in a
playground sort of thing, like they just there's love it
Like they're both so attracted to each other. It's hilarious.

(12:24):
I also, you know, shared bedside tables with Bruce, so
he would tell me every night, you know, she's gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
But I can't wait to get out and bang some
of the fans anyway, I'm a wait to see what
it's like when I'm celebrity famous, I mean reality TV famous,
when I get out of the house. Some great answers there,
I would say, actually, I'm kind of running out of
time so we can have to go to these rapid
fire questions, which is kind of annoying. But who would
you say is the smartest player in the house right now?

Speaker 4 (12:51):
Smart's playing in the house right now, anyone's got a
game plan. I think it's probably Connor. He's a massive
fan of the show. He's played himself incredibly well watching
some episodes, even like, you know, kind of going behind
my back and saying his honest stuff.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
You know, but that's the game. You gotta respect it.
You're probably Connor. Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
And then last night this Isy was asking people everyone
with a rapid five question, who's going to win? And
you are backing Emily. Can you give me some clarity
on Emily and why you think she deserves to win?

Speaker 4 (13:20):
So, yeah, when I say who I think deserves to win,
ultimately it's who I think should have one hundred cam
in their bank account tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
So I think Emily.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
She's you know, thirty, She's got a husband that's a
lovely man.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
She talked highly of.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
They're going to have kids in the future, very very soon.
She said she wants to have kids. She's going to
be an incredible mum. She's got a mortgage. You know,
being a teacher doesn't pay incredibly well, especially primary school teacher.
Her husband's also a teacher, so you know that might
go a long way with their mortgage. You know, raising
kids isn't isn't cheap.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
So I think the money would go a long way
in her life and it'd be a great story.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
And I think there are.

Speaker 4 (13:51):
People on the show that snaked me that are still
on the show that I don't would I wouldn't box see.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Win, but you know, Emily is probably my favorite.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Okay win.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
I think it's a really good answer. I Thinkustralia is
now starting to have this sort of groundswell about Emily.
I think that she's got a very real chance of
winning this show. And it reminds me of it doesn't
matter who you are, if you're authentically being yourself Australia.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
It will connect to that, you know exactly.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
On the last question ask everybody is what is something
from behind the scenes, And everyone talked a lot about
the reactions from the dream World rides and people going
on the ride just so they could see you. Like,
if you look at a lot of the forums, they're
like I went on the ride just so I could
see if any Hi slovinie in the backyard. So I
want to know how much time were you actually watching

(14:35):
the rides and did the rides give you any clues
about what was actually happening in the house?

Speaker 3 (14:39):
Good question. So the ride where there was one ride
that go on, it was.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Like an aeroplane ride and it went around and you
had a little bit of time in the year to
talk to us. It was more of like a sentence
and then you drop down, you go around.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
You did about nine loops.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
We can in Okay.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Yeah, you could definitely hear a lot of Yeah, everyone
had their own fans, and it was very overwhelming and
it was very beautiful to know that you're actually being
seen nicely on the outside world. But you know, people
were yelling some outlander stuff, saying like, you know, have
my baby.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
That was me?

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Sorry, I was you lovely?

Speaker 2 (15:09):
I'm kidding it.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Yeah, no, no, but yeah, there.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
Was a couple of the same people I noticed.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
I noticed repeat offenders.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Repeat defenders, Like I noticed a couple of tattoos on
legs and stuff. Oh wow, you know, you could just
tell that they were die hards and they loved it.
It was very cool scene to support, but you didn't
really gain much. You didn't You couldn't really gain much.
I think I think the fans on the ride probably
knew that it would have ruined the magic a little bit.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Like the whole point is for.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Us to be able to just find out who we
are amongst ourselves, not be able to have help from
the outside world.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
But you know, it was our TV. That's all we had.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah, you could imagine the dream world stuff saying to
them before going on the ride.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Now, you know, feel free to.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Yell out you love Vinie and you want to have
his baby or whatever, but please don't say anything. You'd
hope that they that's what they're saying.

Speaker 4 (15:50):
Yeah, the only thing we found out was Holly and
Koger had a scash of coffee in the week one.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
But oh that's a good one.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
That's juicy as af for whatever, just because the podcast
has to be PG, I honestly think of you more
as an actor presenter. I think we will see more
of you, more so than I think of a lot
of the people.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
That are in the show.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
I don't know if reality TV is where we'll keep
seeing you. I actually think we'll see you on something
like Home and Away. I've said that to people on
the podcast.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
By the way, why not, you know, I mean I'm
opening to all opportunities.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
I think you know, I'm a musician outside of you know,
barbering and stuff, so I'd love to take my music
a bit more seriously. But also I have a massive passion.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
For film, so I'd love to act, you know, even
doing something that Mal does, you know, presenting a show
that would be that could one hundred percent be something
I could see myself doing.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
I could see you co hosting Matt for sure.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
Yeah, I'd love to co host it, especially you know,
being an ex contestant, you know, given.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
A little bit more of the inside goss. Yeah, I
could definitely see it happening. Yeah, that's something I'd love
to do.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
I love people, I love sharing stories, and if I
can share it on a national.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Level, why not.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Well, Vinnie, can I say you are so memorable for
this show For someone who maybe was a little bit
quiet and didn't hog the screen time, you know, with
romances and being nasty or anything like that, I think
you will stay in the zeigeist. I personally am in
your audience. So I can't wait to see what you
do with this journey. And thank you so much for
taking the time to talk to me today.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Thank you so much for talking to me. I appreciate
it a lot.

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah, well, good luck with it.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
I think you'll have a great time talking to all
of the media, and you know, I think the response
to is very positive.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
So yeah, cheers unreal.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Thank you so much, Savdy, bye bye, goodbye.
