About Jamal Trulove:
Jamal Trulove is an actor, activist, and former wrongfully convicted individual from San Francisco, California. In 2010, he was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison for a murder he did not commit. After spending over six years behind bars, his conviction was overturned, and in 2015, he was acquitted in a retrial. Trulove later won a $13.1 million settlement in a civil lawsuit against the city for his wrongful conviction. Since his release, he has become an advocate for criminal justice reform and has also pursued a career in acting, including a role in the film The Last Black Man in San Francisco.
