Killer Pro Wrestling post Joe five yearsago. This week, Jason Solomon from
(02:34):
the Salomonster Sounds Hop podcast joined meon the SmackDown post show. We had
a live on site correspondent from Denvertalking about happenings in the arena and off
camera. We also talked with callersand answered email questions about Lana's Milwaukee Secret,
Samoa Joe, visiting aj Styles Household, the Beculent Charlotte Angle, Truth
TV, and more. This livestreamed originally on September twenty six, twenty
(02:59):
eighteen, and it is today's wadKeller Pro Wrestling Post Show five years ago.
Flashback for Thursday, September twenty eight, Jason, what do you think
is going on right now at theStyles Household? And if row can have
an overrun, why can't SmackDown sowe can see what's going on with Joe
(03:20):
and AJ's family. This just feelswrong. I'm glad that we only have
two hours to get through this. It's been a while since we've had a
good old fashioned cliphanger here. Ifigured this company forgot how to do these
things. But I thought that wasgreat. Yeah, absolutely, I mean
they should send people to WWB Networkfor an exclusive update and get a bunch
of sign ups. Joe was fantastic. I love Joe's character right now.
(03:43):
I felt like I was in theminority and enjoying the story time. I've
compared him to the Heat, theHeel, the Villain, and Cape Fear.
I thought it was well done.My one little kind of straighten your
tie critique of the segment is Iwish they would have roughed up the the
letters on the mailbox. It waslike just too shiny and new to seem
real, kind of like copy uniformsa little too ironed, so just make
(04:06):
it look like it's been around fora while. Throw some dirt on it,
but yeah, I enjoyed. Ienjoyed Joe and styles in the dynamic
that they have with Joe playing thischaracter. Yeah, I mean, Joe
has been great throughout this entire thing. I said, you know, to
a bunch of people I've debated aboutthis, that Joe, in my opinion,
is the best pure speaker outside ofPaul Hayman right now on the active
(04:30):
roster Raw or SmackDown. So heshines in these segments. And I thought
this was just the right amount ofsinister because here's a guy who he saw
the last pay per view match, clearly was screwed. He clearly has a
valid case as to why he wouldbe so upset, and it sent him
off the deep end that I washoping it would. I was hoping we
would see kind of a psychotic sideof Joe that we haven't seen before.
(04:54):
And that's exactly what they're giving us. And I think that's the right thing
to do. Now, my questionis there's a contract side for a reason,
will the match take place if Joewasn't there to sign the contract?
Well, let me we're talking aboutsemantics now, he'll he'll fax his signature
over to page. Everything will beokay. We aren't an air of digital
signature, so I think we willbe. He'll send his E he'll E
(05:16):
file, He'll send his E signatureover exactly. All right. Well,
let's set the stage here because wegot a lot to talk about. We
have two on site correspondence line up, by the way, but none last
night. We got somebody today whowas at last night's show, so we'll
catch up on someone who went toWe'll catch up on last night's Raw and
he can compare the experience for RonSmackDown at Plus. We got mail bank
and we got people on hold. We'll get to in a moment. Right
(05:38):
here on the Weight Keller Pro WrestlingPost Show, we are covering the Tuesday,
September twenty fifth, twenty eighteen editionof the program that aired live from
Denver, Colorado, aired on USANetwork, and my guest co host is

me at the Wade Keller. That'sat PW torch and at the Wade Keller.
All right, let's start. Let'sbegin with Terria code four one zero.
You are first stup on the callerportion. Please state your name and
(07:04):
where you're calling from Hey Justin fromBaltimore, Maryland. Hey Justin, thanks
for calling him. What do youthink at smacked all to night? What's
anymay? Oh? It's great, great, like always, uh, it
always keeps going forward. But didAJ really think he was Joe could hear
(07:26):
him? I think we are goingto buy into the idea that Joe could
hear him. I mean he hewas in theory holding up a phone with
a speaker on it, and hehad him in selfie mode with speaker on.
So I mean, why, Iguess why, why do you think
he couldn't hear him? It feltweird. It really felt weird, like
(07:46):
AJ was he was yelling at allon his microphone, and I just don't
feel like I feelt like it wasprerecorded. So it may have been.
I don't know, but but Imean, even mean, even if it
was Joe, Yeah, I mean, even if it was pre recorded,
I mean that it's a believable setup. You know that that Joe would
(08:07):
that that Styles and Joe would talkto each other over a cell phone.
So I didn't Joe out if itwas pre recorded. I thought they actually
did a pretty good job with it. Jason, what you think, did
did it come across like AJ waskind of pretending, you know, Joe
was pretending to listen to AJ,Or did it seem like they actually did
it, you know somehow live? No, I mean it came across to
me is totally you know, aprerecorded segment. I mean I just assumed
(08:28):
that that's the way they do mostof these segments, and it looked,
you know, sometimes AJ would saysomething and Joe would talk over them.
So to me, they did thebest job they could trying to think the
two of them up. But itwas pretty obvious that it was a prerecorded
segment. But again, I don'tthink it took away from it, at
least not for me. Yeah, that's where I am too. Yeah,
(08:48):
Joe was unbelievable. Yeah, Joe, Joe is great. It was the
best Joe. Joe needs to bethe champion, well saying for months unfortunately
for AJ. Yeah. What else? Justin what's any mind? Anything else?
No? Not really, I justI want to check out the show
(09:11):
up and listening and since you arestarted and I'm not a V team member
and I don't but if I havea couple of stars, I think I'm
gonna try that too. I wouldlove it. Thanks Justin. If you
do, let me know what youthink. We love business, we love
we're a business, and we lovecustomers. I appreciate it. Justin.
We'll hopefully talk to you one ofthese upcoming weeks. Call us back.
(09:35):
All right, thank you. It'sit's good Jason have a caller who agrees
with us and underlines what we saidin the opening minutes. Joe is phenomenal.
I'll take something Justin said, though, it should Joe be the Champion
of SmackDown And if so, whyand do you have to take into consideration
when you'd say that that it takesthe title away from AJ styles and you're
(09:56):
taking the belt away from a reallygood rest doing a really good job who
has a chance to have a reallylong tunnel rain. So it doesn't come
without cost. What's the argument forJoe winning the championship sometimes soon, if
not at in Australia. Well,I mean AJ is coming up on one
full years as champion. I talkedabout this on my show the other day.
(10:16):
I feel like, you know,we've been inundated in recent years in
this company by long title reigns.SO and so five hundred days this four
hundred days that and I wonder ifyou know, part of the one of
the very many problems with some ofthese shows is that because you have so
many people who are champions for anextended, uninterrupted period of time, if
(10:37):
that sort of takes some of thefun away and some of the excitement away,
and maybe it wouldn't be better offsort of breaking up some of these
rains. And you know, thecase of AJ, he's had a nice
lengthy run, longer than I everthought he would be champion four. He
and Joe are coming up on whattheir third fourth match now. I think
I don't know how much longer they'regoing to stretch this out for. But
(10:58):
if they want to stretch have alittle bit longer, maybe even through Survivor
series, it gets pretty boring ifJoe at some point doesn't win. Yeah,
you know, we we sort ofwin through this with AJ and Nakamura.
Earlier in the year, Nakamura theyhad probably almost half a dozen matches
together and he never won the championship, and so after a while it became
it just felt kind of dull.So I think for that reason, it
(11:20):
would be a good idea to putthe title on Joe, even though I
don't think that they're going to Iam an advocate for long title reins,
but not all ways. I thinkthey should be in the mix. And
you're right, you want to pickyour spot. I think the longer somebody
holds a title to a point ofdiminishing returns, the eventual title change means
more. And I think we're atthat point with AJ. I mean,
(11:41):
I think had AJ played hot potatowith the championship with with Nakamura, then
Joe beating AJ would mean less. But once you cash it in, so
to speak, you know, andyou have a title change and it has
been almost a year, you wantto pick the right moment to do it.
And I do think absolutely Joe isputting on the type type of performance
(12:03):
and just carrying himself in a waythat says fans would buy in, and
you know, you want it tobe part of a long term story arc.
You got to have something in mindat this stage for Joe for WrestleMania
if you make him the champion, and and you know you have Daniel Bryan
talking more about the championship now earlyin the show here, he said that
that's part of his mission, andI like to hear that, So it
(12:26):
certainly sets a stage for that tobe a potential feud and that can carry,
you know, after a rematch, that can carry them all the way
through WrestleMania if they do it right. There's just not another baby face on
SmackDown at this point other than Rusev. So my concern with Joe being champion
is just how how weak the babyface division is right now. I would
(12:46):
have even picked Biggie as like atop three guy to break off from New
Day tag team matches and build himup as maybe a challenger to Joe,
say at a Royal Rumble, whereyou can, you know, have an
undercard match that doesn't enough to carrythe show because Rumble will, but they
job him out tonight clean. Itdoesn't mean he can't still be rebuilt.
But that's my main concern, Jason. It's just I don't see a long
list of dream matches. If AJstays champion, there's a few more options
(13:11):
there, and that's not necessarily thebest reason to keep the belt on AJ.
But but it's the reality. Tome, I think it's a reality
of the situation that deserves some weight. Yeah, I mean, I think
that's a valid point to make.I don't think there would be anything wrong
with taking the title off AJ.You know, he is the hottest baby
face on the brand, and itwouldn't be a terrible idea to have him
chase for a little bit. Ithink if they do, if they do
(13:33):
the switch in Australia, which againI tend to think they're not going to
do, I don't know that Joe'sgoing to have a very long run.
In fact, I think they may. You know, I can see them
playing hot potato and getting the beltback on a j I think that if
you look at the bigger picture rightnow on SmackDown, you know you mentioned
Daniel Bryan. I tend to airon the side of Miss kind of getting
(13:54):
that shot and beating Brian at theAustralian show. If that happens, it
may it's a lot more sense forMiss to be challenging ajing for the championship
as opposed to Joe you have twoheels or really wouldn't make a whole lot
of sense. I know they haven'tannounced when the winner of that Brian mismatch
will sort of cash in on theirtitle opportunity. I tend to think you
(14:15):
know smack Down one thousand is comingup in less than a month. That
would be an awfully good place forit. So I just look at all
the different signs and the heel, the heels and the baby faces, and
I just as much as I wouldlove to see Joe get a run with
it, and I think he wouldknock it out of the park, I
just don't know that the circumstances rightnow are pointing in that direction. Yeah,
And I mean part of me justthinks, forget everything we just said
(14:39):
about whether it's challengers or timing forWrestleMania, just give Joe a title ring.
Like I don't say that about anybody, Like I don't think everyone should
get their turn. It's not like, oh, you've been in the business
for a long time, you geta world title ring. I think that
cheapens what it means to be aworld champion to do that. Joe is
sort of that exception. I thinkhe's so good and has been so good
for so long. Yeah, yeah, go ahead, ye yeah. Well
(15:00):
I'm just gonna say. And oneof the great things about it is,
you know, Joe is a verypopular guy, and so he was used
to coming out even as a heeland getting cheered. He's so good at
what he does that when he hasfound a way to come out and be
so evil and sinister and what hedoes that people react the way that you
would want them to. They boohim, they say, oh my god,
how can he do this. He'sstalking this man's family. Now,
(15:22):
you know, they're teasing that he'sgonna kidnap AJ's family. So he is
a very as likable as he is, and people want to cheer for him.
He's so good at what he doesthat he gets people to actually hate
him and want to see Aj,you know, get one over on him.
And I think that's a credit tothe performer that he is. Joe's
the kind of guy that if hewas on the PTA and all the parents
(15:43):
greed he needed into a playground atthe school, and Joe just sat there
and crossed his arms and said,we don't need a playground. Everyone will
change her boat, you know.Like he's so believable, intimidating. You
can imagine him in real life justbeing the guy who everybody cowers around and
nobody wants to look at the wrongway. And I love of that.
In wrestling, it's not. It'sa business full of people cowering to Stephanie
(16:03):
McMahon and authority figures. And oh, I lost my money in a shopping
center mall. I know, I'mdesperate for a job, and I went
to rehab and w B saved meand I'm so grateful to have a job.
Joe doesn't have any of that.He is a guy who rises above
that. So yeah, all right. V IP sale Alert. We're running
a sale going into all in andAll out as we conclude the summer,

Please stay gername it where you're callingfrom? Hey wait, this is
(18:14):
Jordan's from Colomas, Ohio. HeyJordan, thanks for calling. What's on
your mind tonight? Hey wait?I was just amazed. It's how the
folks in Denver, Colorado, acity, you know, I was not
expecting them to be chanting Milwaukee allnight prize at that whole Russas and Eating
English and Lana segment really went overand Conny. I wasn't quite excited about
(18:37):
the break up there because I takea matchup between Russas and Aidan English seems
one sided to me. I don'tthink there will be that much steam to
the actual wrestling component of it,but I feel like now the story I'm
actually looking forward to SmackDown next weekto see what video footage does Aidan have.
It seems like Corey Grays that couldnot contain himself as excitement, so
(19:00):
I know he's looking forward to it. I just want to know what you
guys about Absolutely, thanks short.Yeah, I thought Cort Grace is a
little little over the top, littlecheesy in his response, but you know,
maybe more than a little. Butyeah, you talk about cliffhangers,
you know, what what what whathappens when the door when styles I assume
his wife answers the door this lateat night out in Georgia. We also
(19:21):
have the cliffhanger of of the Milwaukeefootage. How do you think they played
that up? Jason? Again,I thought they did a very good job
of it. I like the keything I think about tonight's show in terms
of the main event angle and interms of what they did with the russevu
and aid in English, is thewhole goal should be to get people to
want to tune in the following weekto see what happens next. And I
(19:41):
kind of get the opposite feeling onMonday nights, but they are doing a
great job of that on this showwith these these two stories. You know,
like you know, you were saying, you have people channing Milwaukee for
the rest of the night. Thatwould be like being here in New York
and getting the crowd the chant Boston. It's just not something that you would
see. But I think they knockedit out of the park tonight, just
(20:03):
in terms of setting their key storiesup going forward, making you want to
see what's going to happen next, and like, for example, on the
russevn An English situation, I don'tknow where they're going to go with the
next I can sit here and saythat I don't know, you know what
direction they're going to go it now. It can go a lot of bad
ways, a lot of very cheesyways. But I'm curious to see where
(20:23):
they go at this. I amtoo. I thought that English, Lana
and russef all played their parts well. I mean they're you know, we
do look at mic Rome asking RandyOrton a question and it's like, you
know, you get kicked out ofacting class if you're doing that after day
one. I mean, it's justwas terrible. The delivery of the line
was just terrible. And that's backstage. Oh yeah, but but Orton's I
loved Orton just to get off fora second. I love response to that
(20:45):
question, where you know, Ithought that was fantastic. I did too,
because, as someone put it outon Twitter that I have spoken those
words on this show. So Ivery much was. I mean, if
Randy Orton can challenge my gripes andthen articulate them on SmackDown, I'm for
it. What he's won you over? Yes, yes, yes, But
(21:06):
but mic Rome's question was just like, you know, just so scripted in
you know, authentic sounding and allthat, But you have Lana and russ
Of and English like doing these allthese backstage segments, and I mean there
was there's some chemistry there and andand I thought the acting was believable.
I mean it in a wrestling context. I mean, I'm not saying if
you put this on, you know, in a movie, that it wouldn't
stand out as over the top.Yeah, but Lana is an actor.
(21:27):
I mean, remember she she comesfrom that world. She is an actress.
I would certainly hope that she hassome in eighth acting ability. Yeah,
and the chemistry through seven lot ofI mean, but I'm sitting here
saying it feels authentic and you'll go, wait, guess what, they're married,
But no, there there is anauthenticity to it in the way they
play off each other. There's goodtiming, so I think that helps.
And and I'm a fan of eightin English and his role in this.
(21:49):
You know, there's a little bitof community theater last week where you know,
his his earnestness was a little overthe top, like he was in
some Disney production. But that's saidoverall, he was good. He was
really good this week. And soyeah, I'm hooked. I'm curiouslye what
happens Jordan? Any follow up forus? Anything else you want to say?
Uh? Yeah, I mean beyondthat, I think I dis pointed
(22:11):
what we're two days into the newfall season. I think we had our
first cancelation of the season. Itwas pro TV. It looks like it
may have ended at the end ofthe match, and I but I was
really entertained by the opening there.I mean, truth resurgence on Snackdown has
just been just a nice added bitof fun. I mean, he's super
cheesy and over the top, butI think he kind of need that every
(22:33):
couple of weeks on Snackdown just tobring that entertainment level. And he's been
money so fun. I really Ilike that opening, and I love Daniel
Bryant seeing you know, after theyhad their fun. It seemed like he
got very serious at the end ofthat match with Simmons staring down, and
that's kind of that little slow burn. I want to keep seeing building to
their match waving into Australia. Cool, thanks, Jordan. Yeah, Our
(22:55):
true's a bit of guilty pleasure forI think a lot of people. I'm
in that group. He is,Uh, he's good at what he's doing
right now. And I mean noteverything, not everything works, but I'd
say most of what he does isworking right now. I got a big
kick out of Carmelico and it's timeand true quoes. Oh oh yeah,
okay, seven second day at break. I mean, I know it's it's
recommended by by fitness instructors. Youget up from your desk and do seven
(23:18):
second dance breaks during the work day. That should actually be a requirement at
all Giant corporations. Seven second dancebreak every couple hours. Yeah, it
was. I thought it was fun. Where you want it, Jason,
Yeah, I mean I haven't.I have no problem with it. I
think truth is the perfect comic reliefas long as they don't overdo it.
I mean that's usually my issue. They sometimes go overboard with the comedy and
then it's not funny. But truthis he Look, he's he's always an
(23:41):
entertaining guy, whether he's doing abackstage segment. This was an in ring
segment that went on probably for whatten fifteen minutes probably to open the show,
and the fans seem to enjoy it, so you know, it's not
anything to get offended over. Ithink you want to have a healthy dose
of that on the show, andyou know he's the perfect person to do
it. Look, he's the elderstatesman in that company. He's been around
(24:03):
for a long time, and tohis credit, he is as popular I
think now as he's been in manyyears. Yep. I agree. All
right, very good. Let's keeprolling through calls here eight one four up
next and then eight five eight fiveafter that. Eight one four. Please
state your name in the city orColin from This is Shryan for Crumblin Royland.
Thanks for Colin, Ryan. Whatdo you think it's back down?
(24:25):
Good show? A couple of questionsfor you, do you think what's since
Shaye Malcolm Mora might be based inrain the Stereo in his first feod back
because it looks like he's lacking challengersfor his title after Todd Milliner since to
begin after Randy Orton? And alsowas that a prop for aj Styles house?
Did I do you know? Youmean, like, was it his
(24:48):
real house? Yeah? I doubtit. I mean, one are the
odds that he gets his name, his wrestling name, in bright white colors
on his mailbox just in time forJoe to win his home. So yeah,
I I doubt that is the case. What uh what do you think
Jason is? Is Remsterio and RandyOrton a good good matchup? Uh?
(25:12):
Well, yeah, well he wassaying knock more im. Sorry, that's
what I meant to say. Whatdid I say, rand Oh? I
said, Randy? Okay, youhave Randy Orton on the brain, my
friend? Do Yeah? All right? You maybe here's next victim. Yeah.
So I think I talked about thison my show. I was outlining,
you know, three to five potentialopponents because I'd like to see Rain
go to SmackDown that was always hishome, you know, traditionally back in
(25:34):
the day. I look at therosters and I just think it would be
a better fit for him, andof the matches i'd like to see him
in. Knockomar is one opponent uc n almus Brian. I think they
would all make for fun matches. So yeah, I think that would be
a fine idea. It would puthim in a you know, a semi
major feud right out of the gate, and it would give him a new
(25:55):
opponent to face, and it's abig match that we haven't seen before.
So I would be totally fine withthat if that was the direction they wanted
to go in. Is raymistereo? If he has signed a two year deal
with WWB as there's some reports hehas, is he a world title contender?
Like if we talk about if Joewins a championship, there's not a
lot of baby face opponents. CouldRay go to go to the world title
(26:18):
level at this point in his careerand would it be believable for him against
Joe? Or do you see himin kind of a different spot at this
stage of his career, Uh,you know, more in a supporting not
a guest star, but you know, a legacy star role. I would
like to see him in that legacystar role. But as far as the
question like do I see him fittinginto that role or being believable? Absolutely,
(26:44):
And if for no other reason, because these are shows, frankly that
are lacking star power, and Ithink as good as SmackDown can be on
most weeks, you were just talkingabout it a minute ago. You get
beyond Aj and Brian and you havethis this void as far as big baby
faces on the show, and Rayis still a star from that period that
people love to romanticize. He wasa world champion at one point, so
(27:07):
you know you can't say that,well, I can't. I can't ever
see him challenging for the world titlebecause he's already been there, done that.
So because I think of this lackof star power, when he comes
back, it benefits him because Ithink, you know it'll people will look
at him in a way that makeshim bigger, perhaps than he normally would
(27:29):
be made out to be. Socan I see him challenging for the world
title? Yes, But what doI think the best role is for him?
I think the best role for himwould be more of a kind of
a part time role where he getsto have different programs with fresh opponents that
he's never faced before. I thinkI keep coming back to Almas. I
just think Ray and Almos as afew to put Almis on the map on
(27:52):
this brand is just such a fantasticidea. I hope that even if it's
not right away, I would loveto see that as a WrestleMania match.
I'm with you. I think that'dbe a great matchup and it would help
put Andrea on the map at ahigher level. Just as you know,
AOP mix it up with the shield, you know, helps elevate them.
You want to get newer guys inthere with with legendary names and have them
hang with them and share the spotlightwith them, and that helps establish them
(28:15):
as top stars. In twenty twelve, NXT transitioned into the developmental system and
ultimately the brand you see today. On the Torch VIP podcast NXT Eight Years

right, let's go to you outby next Thanks for calling. Please take
your name in the city or conference. Hi. Wait, and Jason is
David member from Kenny Big when youfella New Yorker, David, thanks calling
(29:03):
again. What's in your mind?Yes, So it was definitely an above
average show from top to bottom ourtruths I think of the most entertaining of
his career at this point. Definitelyguilty pleasure. As he said, it
was a safe night because Freebella wasn'tthere and got to your corey graders,
(29:29):
drew over Maydy Rose a little bit, Samoa Joe was excellent. That he's
just the greatest feel going right now. And I called him last week with
a couple of points, and I'veactually slipped crop to my position completely on
the number one I said, Iwasn't really looking forward to in aiden English
Russe Shugh, but after the storythey said tonight they got me up to
(29:55):
I'm like, okay, this isinteresting. I can't wait to see what
happens if we've done this really good. And the other thing is I said
that I thought they might be gettingsomewhere with sec you mention as a heel
and I don't know. She wasagain thoroughly unlikable tonight and the fans just
cheered everything she did. At thispoint, I'm starting to think that she
(30:18):
could probably kick a puppy in themiddle of the ring and the fans is
still cheered for her. I wouldhold I don't know what that can possibly
do. I would need it.I mean, there's really no baby faces
on SmackDown right now that I thinkthe fans. She was the top most
you know, she was the topbaby face really on SmackDown and there I
(30:42):
don't think there's anyone she can faceon SmackDown. Any baby certainly not Lana,
but there's no baby face I thinkthat she can take on in SmackDown
right now that would get the fansagainst her. Jason, what's your take
on the status So Becky Lynch's healedher well, I mean it was just
(31:03):
a foolish idea from the beginning toeven attempt it. I mean it was
It's been obvious for a long time. She is probably the most beloved female
figure on that show. And Iknow they've look they've been trying their hardest.
They're so stubborn when it comes toCharlotte, and they're going to continuously
fail unless they kind of wake upand come to their senses and just kind
of read the tea leaves here peopledo not want to boo this woman.
(31:26):
And we saw Charlotte when they firstcut to her during that photo shoot before
she got attacked, she was alreadygetting booed. Then she gets attacked,
people cheer. It's just their attemptsto get sympathy for Charlotte. It's just
not working and it's not going towork. And I think what Becky is
doing is great. I think they'vegotten to a great place with her.
(31:48):
It's been just this organic. Thefans just love her naturally, and I
say, just continue to do whatyou're doing with her without having her come
out and get cheapeat by yelling atthe fans or blaming the fans, because
I just don't think that's necessary. But Charlotte is the one who I think
is just really miscast here. Ithink, I mean, do you agree.
I mean, I just look atthis and I go, I think
(32:08):
she would thrive, and even justthe story itself, I just think she
would be so much better in thatother role. And it's it's it's hurting
the story, but it's hurting her. I think more than anything else.
I'm with you hundred percent. AndI was going to point out the tone
definis of having you know, likethe storyline is, Charlotte gets all the
(32:28):
attention and Becky is, you know, sort of the forever bride'smaid in the
women's division, and so she finallygets a title shot, and then Charlotte
shows up and magically gets one matchand now she's in. So you got
the storyline totally. If the goalwas to get Becky to be booed that
all is bad, So then thisweek, what do we have Becky's your
champion, and what do they doto get sympathy on Charlotte, have her
(32:51):
doing a photo shoot that Becky withher title, has to crash and take
over. I mean, they're justunderlining the beef that's ants have with Charlotte,
or the perception, I guess Ishould say, more than it be
for Charlotte, the perception that Charlotteis favored even now that Becky's champion.
And so I mean, I like, hey, let's have Charlotte do a
(33:12):
photo shoot, have Becky come inand have to beat her down in order
to get her picture taken. Becky'sthe champion, she should be getting the
photo shoot. So they just they'renot helping Charlotte here with a booking and
Charlotte's done nothing wrong. I meanshe's fine, she really is. She's
better healed in a baby face, but she'd be a fine baby face.
But no, she's matched against somebodywho the fans absolutely love, just because
Vincent Mann and Kevin Donn you know, don't understand why, to put it
(33:35):
nicely, because they have a certainimage of what every man in the world
wants to watch on a wrestling show. They have to open their ears Jason
and sometimes listen to the fans andnot push against it. Well, you're
asking for a little too much.Wait, I mean to come on now,
and look, they may still yetget there. They're having another match,
and about what a week and ahalf or so, they're going to
have the Australian Show. Maybe atthat point they'll come to their senses.
(33:57):
Maybe that's where the story is headed. But just think about the absurdity of
this. So you have Becky afew weeks ago, and like I said,
thankfully they've gotten away from this. But after she did what she did
at SummerSlam, she comes out onTV cuts this great promo. I thought,
except for the fact that she wasblaming the fans, you were never
behind me. As she's saying this, people are cheering for her. Meanwhile,
you have Charlotte, who, asyou said, has done nothing wrong.
(34:20):
She's coming out and getting just mercilesslybooed every single week due to disconnect
here. And it would be veryeasy, It's so simple for them,
one little tweak just to fix this. Because Becky blaming the fans makes no
sense. Charlotte blaming the fans wouldmake total sense. So if you want
to turn her, and you wantto do that, you know, make
the switch. That's all you needto do is have her come out start
(34:44):
healing on the fans, because shewould have a legitimate reason to do so.
And I think what WWW has inmind is there's something else in mind
for Charlotte that they think is biggerthan what's going on with Becky, and
so well, we if Charlotte's gonnaturn heel, it has to be later
against this other person, or weneed Charlotte to remain baby face for this
other person, whoever it is downthe line, and maybe it'll become a
(35:05):
parent later and we'll go, Oh, that had to be a tough choice
for him. And now I seewhy they did it. I disagree but
at least they had our argument forit. If we don't see that one
or two or three or four monthsdown the road, then they absolutely positively
should have switched mid course. Ifnot by now, very soon, it's
not too late for an audible inthat regard. And yeah, I mean,
as David points out, the crowdcontinues to cheer Becky despite anything and
(35:28):
everything she does, although I wouldsay interrupting the photo shoot as Charlotte gets
all the attention and glory, evenan as a former champion. I mean,
the sympodys on Becky obliviously here.Anyway, David, any closing words
from you? Yeah, just onequick question for you, just a quick
thought. Speaking of the Australia Show. Do you think the Iconics might be
(35:50):
cheered on that show? I wouldexpect so, I mean, I mean
they can try. They can say, you know, we used to like
Australia and then we went to Americaand we found out you know, how
what a what a trash heap Australiais and and uh and you know,
turn the crowd. I mean thatthat works generally, but my hunches,
you know, they'll be that theywon't do that because of it Abe will
(36:12):
find value in having them play upthere Australian heritage. Yeah, I mean
I would be. I would bestunned if if they're not nastally. I
think there's a Cruiserweight title match onthat show as well. And Buddy.
I believe Buddy Burpee is challenging forthe championship. I think he's from Melbourne,
so there's another example. I'm surehe'll be the hometown favorite going into
that match. All right, let'stry to squeeze another call or two in
(36:34):
before we go to our first onsite correspondent nine one seven ear up,
and then we'll probably close out herewith two or three nine one seven.
Please state name in the city orcalling from. Hey, wait, my
name is Valentino. I'm from NewYork but living in Miami currently. Well,
Jason, how do you feel aboutthat? A New Yorker moving in
Miami. I don't blame him.I wish I could do the same.
Wow, we're talking about the iconicsturning on their country. He just turned
(36:55):
to New York. And wait, you know we got the United Nations here
in New York all this week, and if you know New York traffic,
imagine that multiplied by ten. That'show awful things are here right now.
I understand, Valentino, what's inyour mind tonight? You have a you
have a three four seven number.Wade. I know that you're from Minnesota
area, but I was surprised tosee the three four seven. That's just
(37:17):
the switch part that we is gotit, got it got its advertising right
there. Yeah. So I reallyenjoyed SmackDown. I thought it was good.
The standouts for me were Becky Lynchand Wade. I listened to you
every week just like rave about howgreat she is, and I'll never agree
(37:39):
with you. I'm not a Beckyfan. She just always seems like very
very bland to me and just notentertaining. But lately, you know,
with her heel turn, I guessI still have been, you know,
reluctant to get on the bandwagon. But today, I don't know. I
think it was something about the backstagesegment with Lana, and it was very
attitude era ish, you know, where like a top star are just you
(38:00):
know, is in the back andthey have an exchange with another, you
know, superstar, and it wasjust really great. She handled it great,
She just she just it was niceto see it, you know,
build up to a match later on, and it was just really cool.
Reminded me of like the Rock oryou know, Stone Cold, which is
like the stone Cold Becky Lynch comparisonthat we keep getting. Yeah, we
(38:22):
got like a brief glimpse of Stonecalled Bailey, and now Becky's become stone
called Bailey or stone called Becky.Excuse me, And I mean it is
part of why people like Becky nowas they liked her before, but now
it's a new bet. It's it'slike, it's this new Becky and they're
like, what, we like thisversion too. I don't think fans are
protesting this version of Becky. Theyjust don't want to boot this version of
(38:42):
Becky. I think they're happy witheither version of Becky. Jason, Yeah,
yeah, no, I agree.Look, people like attitude. There's
a reason why the Attitude era isso you know, romanticized by so many
people. You know, when youhave that edge to you, you know,
people tend to gravitate towards people likethat. So again, I don't
know that she's really she hasn't gonetoo far off the heel end of it.
(39:05):
She's just showing an edge and anattitude, and again people I think
can empathize with her because they agreeshe's been overlooked. She hasn't really been
featured much in the last couple ofyears. Now she's finally, you know,
taking the bull by the horns, and she's saying, look, I'm
gonna, you know, grab theopportunities for myself. I'm not going to
wait for them to come around. And people probably agree and see, you
know what, She's right, she'sbeen overlooked and it's about time that she
(39:27):
has her her chance to shine andshe's getting it right now and the people
were behind her. Valentino anything elsefor us? Yeah. I also like
the Art Truth and Carmela seven seconddance break. I thought hell was awesome.
It was definitely it was definitely cool. And I something about I told
my girlfriend earlier and I'm sure sheonly halfway appreciated this, but something about
(39:50):
seeing Carmela, you know, outsidethe ring during the Art Truth match just
also felt just really really like natchural, Like it was just it's just nice
seeing like some do you accompany somebodyelse to the ring. That's not like
the New Day, I guess accompanyingeach other or you know, Cesaro and
Shamus. Yeah, some might sayCarmelo is better at ringside than in the
ring, but that would be meanyou would be right. Thanks Balatine,
(40:15):

(41:22):
well, for all my complaining aboutDenver and yesterday's show, Denver stepped up
today. We had more volunteers tohelp us out than we could get on
the program. Later on, we'regoing to talk to somebody who, if
it works out, went to bothRaw and SmackDown the last two nights.
We'll kind of catch up on yesterdayand get his perspective comparing the two events.
But we have Porter with us first, and Porter, you attended the
(41:46):
event, and but you did notstick around for two or five five or
the dark match? Is that correct? Well? Actually two they had two
h five live before. Oh okaythe big challenges afterwards. Oh that's right,
Yeah, of course, yeah,re arranging So tell us which I
forgot about too. Yeah, Well, did you get there in time to
see two or five lives you wantto? Yeah? We got it in
(42:07):
there and saw hit spoiler alert foreverybody who's watching one. Sorry sorry sorry
versus Ali and that actually was apretty interesting match. It went to a
ten count out of outside the ring. There was a flip off the top
(42:27):
rope onto the side. I thinkit was Ali hit it on a toemy
and they both fell out of thering and the guy ten count. So
it's kind of interesting somebody don't seeevery day. And then the next match
was Brian Kendrick versus some job orthat was about maybe a thirty second match,
(42:49):
and then Drew, Drew Gulak andJack Allagher came out with Kendrick and
Drew Grew beat up the job orsome more afterwards, and I got we've
got in the middle of that firstmatch. So as far as I know,
they did not advertise a dark match, and I know I told you
before I was only going to stayfor a dark match if it was like
AJ Styles versus Kael Bryan. Sonow this is the part where you tell
(43:12):
me that's what I'm missing right nowbecause I didn't hear any advertise it's going
on right now, and apparently they'rejust tearing the house town it's and I
heard a rumbor they're going to asixty minute draw, and it's it's going
to be fantastic, right And youbrought to your six year old son with
you talk has he been the restof the show before. H this is
his first event. You actually wentto, oh, a local indie show
(43:36):
about a year and a half ago, and he was a bit younger,
but he was much more into itthis time around. Yeah. Yeah,
that, I mean, you'll neverforget this experience. I mean, that's
that's pretty young to go to yourflaw. I don't know a lot of
people bring six year olds, butI assume at age six, you're you're
you're gonna have long term memories andkind of appreciate what you're seeing. Yeah,
I think I remember my first showaround six or seven, so for
sure. Yeah, Well, feelfree to sprinkle in as we talk here,
(43:59):
any reactions he had or you know, things that used off through his
eyes differently. So, uh,well, talk about the crowd size in
the building. And because they didn'tdidn't pan the three hundred and sixty degrees
of the crowd, so I assumea decent amount was empty or tarked off.
It was pretty sparse. I'd saybetween four thousand and forty five hundred.
(44:21):
About three quarters in the lower bowland a couple of suites were occupied,
but the whole club level and upperlevel we're all tarped off, would
you consider a crowd that was veryinto the show and and enjoyed what WWW
was serving up? Yeah, Iwould, you know, I mean,
I think you know the size ofthe crowd. I think it kept away,
you know, some of the kindof nonchalant fans. It seemed to
(44:43):
be a pretty uh pretty excited, pretty into a crowd. There really wasn't
any dull spots in any of thematches either, or any kind of boring
chance or anything like that. Uh, go ahead, Jason asks corresponding quarter
question. Well, actually, Iwas going to ask about the crowd more
so about SmackDown, just to getyour reaction overall throughout the night in terms
(45:05):
of overall crowd energy and response.I mean, what was your read on
the reactions to night during SmackDown?Well, you know, I really think
it was pretty energetic all the waythrough. I mean I think, you
know, I know, smackdowns hadsmaller crowns the last few months or so,
but I think for Denver it definitelywas you know, more diehard fans
there versus your nonchalant fans. Theenergy was pretty you know that the you
(45:28):
know, the our Truth segment, you know, the crowd channel for our
troops right away to open the show, and it pretty much stayed you know,
hot until the end when lights wentout, when Joe bring the doorbell.
Who would you say got the biggeststar reactions of the night. Was
there a top single person who did, or maybe a group of four or
five who all are pretty close.Yeah, I'd say, you know aj
(45:52):
by Far at the end was itwas pretty loud. Daniel Bryant to start
the show was pretty loud as well, and then I think I at this
Oscar got a big pop surprisingly alittle bit, and then a New Day
was probably the top four, topfour tier about everybody else? How about
Randy Orton showing up? He alwaysgets that heel pop or just the like
(46:13):
he did, Yeah, he did. You know, It's interesting because the
crowd was kind of into Tie alittle bit, but the crowd was really
into Shinsky, and then once Randycame in, there was a whole noother
set of the crowd that was cheeringfor him. So it kind of had
three different sections of people cheering forall three wrestlers in that match or that
bet three in that encounter. Iactually say, what was there any part
during the two hours where they lostthe crowd at all, or it seemed
(46:35):
like the crowd has just kind oftaking a deep breath. Not really,
I mean I was really surprised.I was looking for that and waiting for
it, you know. I think. You know, one thing that I
kind of noticed this time around, which I've heard from different reports and different
shows, is that really we couldnot tell when there was a commercial break.
They had quite a good action goingon during the commercial break the miz
(46:58):
Our Truth match. I finally caughton during the there's some kind of a
test of strength they were having inthe middle of the ring, and I
kind of cut on that was probablythe commercial break. And then but I
just read the report got home.I didn't even realize that the shamous Big
E match had a commercial break becauseit was pretty action packed the whole way
through. Yeah. Yeah, andit wasn't super long either, so it'd
(47:19):
be weird imagine that there was adead spot in there. Yeah, and
yeah, I mean SmackDown. Ifelt this episode just you know, pretty
much flowed. I mean, theredidn't you know, we didn't have any
self aggrandizing, you know, procorporate charity segments. We didn't have excessive
video packages, so I would thinkthis would be a show that would have
served the audience had paid money tobe there, in addition to being a
(47:40):
good TV show. Yeah. Imean, like the side of the crowd
was pretty into Oscar, so they'reinto that match, and then you know,
the Becky Lana match. I wasI thought the crowd was, you
know, I was. I waskind of expecting a Becky chant, but
the crowd was more interested in channingfor Milwaukee instead. Yes, yeah,
(48:01):
that's just I was not calling thatahead of time. I will, I
will admit I was not expecting Well, Icky Chance in Denver for SMAG.
Don't Jason anything else? You wantto ask porter about the whole thing?
Yeah, Well, we were yourthoughts on the cliffhanger to end the show?
I know, Wade and I werea big fan of going off the
air like that, just keeping peoplewanting more being in the building. What
(48:22):
were your thoughts on ending the showlike that? Yeah? It were over
really well. I mean, mysix year old son loved the line Daddy's
home at the very end, gota big, you know ooh from the
crowd as the crowd went out andthe lights went out. Yeah, it
was it was the crowd was totallyinto it. I think what sold it
is the fact they had that earliershot Samoa Joe's locker room and so you
(48:45):
know, in the arena, sopeople thought that he was going to be
there, and to have him appearfrom far away, you know, the
crowd was pretty captivated by that.I think did you feel disappointed at all
that you didn't see Joe in person? I assume he did not show up
magically at all person at all,not unless he's in that great dark match
I'm missing right now. Oh,Joe's been at it. Yeah, that's
(49:06):
a triple threat. Yeah. No, A little bit disappointment, and more
of a disappointment that, you know, Daniel Brian and AJ didn't wrestle on
the show. You know, misteragain the dark match that we're missing here.
I think a j was probably thebiggest disappointment. And Daniel Bryan dressed
up in street clothes. Yeah. The one thing about SmackDown when you buy
(49:28):
tickets is there's just no guarantee thatyou're going to see you know, even
the majority, like more than ahalf of the top stars actually wrestling on
the show. And I think it'sgood for a TV show to rotate the
talent and not burn him out withmatches every week. But from a live
experience, yeah, you can actuallygo to a SmackDown show and you didn't
see When you bought tickets, youthought I might see a j and Daniel
(49:50):
Bryan and Jeff Hardy and the USO'swrestle, and you got none of them
in the ring. Yeah that's true. Yeah, I don't mean to make
you sad. It seemed like youhad a moment, but well, I
mean to your point, and theshow flowed well, and you know,
getting to see Daniel Bryan, andhe stayed in the ring when during the
commercial break, and he actually didsome dancing with Our Truth and Carmela,
(50:10):
so you know, he appeared tobe engaged in the crowd when he was
there, so you didn't feel likeyou were missing an appearance from him.
I think now crowds are usually notsuper enthusiastic for two or five live after
SmackDown ends, but they're usually enthusiasticfor whatever comes first before TV shows begin
with the you know, I mean, Mike Cannellis can get the pop of
the night sometimes if if if it'sthe first match of the night, so
(50:34):
how did the crowd react to TWOLfive Live being the start of things.
I know you were there at thevery beginning for the ring entrances, but
did it seem like the crowd wasengaged or just waiting for SmackDown to start
with the real stars so to speak? Well, i'd say you know that,
you know, the whole crowd wasn'tthere during that time We walked in
during that match, but the crowdwas there, was definitely engaged in the
Ali Tomy match and then again toBrian Kindrick. Match was so short the
(51:00):
crowd was booing group up Drew Gulax, not Greulac. They were booing him
and his beat down that job orafter Kindrick beat him down too. So
yeah, I mean I think youknow generally more than you know. I
would say after SmackDown, it definitelyplayed better beforehand. And then for Mixed
Match Challenge. Did everybody stick arounduh for for that or did see people
(51:21):
started filing out? I mean,I wouldn't say everyone stuck around, but
I was really surprised. We werekind of, you know, walking through
people as we were walking up andout, and a lot of people were
staying. They had a couple ofpromos that you know, those promos,
I guess they showed on TV.They aired him in the arena as well,
and so yeah, Mickey James andthen Leo Rush came out right away
(51:43):
and you know, hyped up Denver'sown Bobby Lashley. So I think that
that may have played a factor init too, But a lot of people
pretty much stayed, at least forthe first part we were walking out.
Yeah, yeah, that's true becausewith the Mixed that challenge, you're getting
some of the other some of thewrest are from Thegether other brands to kind
of keep people in their seats becauseit's it's additional stars they haven't seen already.
What did you uh what? Whatdo you think the highlight was for
(52:05):
your son? Well, I meanhe was really talking about the Daddy's Home
line at the end, but Idefinitely thought like some of the cool spots
in the two or five match,a couple of flips they did when we
first walked in pretty impressive to him. I think he liked the what did
he like? He likes the gatethat the Daniel brien Arch, Cruce Carmela
(52:30):
Dancings, which is all the whichall six year old dude, you know,
so he was into that and anddid he have like a favorite russer
going into the night, like fromdoes he watched on TV enough to have
favorites? Not really, not really, he doesn't really watch too much with
me. The last time he watcheda match with me, I hadn't watched
(52:50):
a Shinsky. John seen the matchabout a year ago or so, and
he recognized Shinska from that match.Yea, but yeah, he and I
asked ahead of time, you know, do you want me to tell you
who to cheer four the boo ordo you want to just do on your
own? He's like, no,tell me, tell me you to cheer
four, and you know won't belong before he's rebelling against you, so
you might as well take it rightexactly, And it comes around age seven
(53:13):
or eight. What what if youdon't mind saying? What'd you pay for
your tickets? Where did you sit? And did you think it was a
good value? Yeah, we boughtthem right from the website. We paid
sixty five dollars plus the fees, and we were right in the lower bowl
about seven rows up and the cornerof the ring between the ring and the
stage, So breakeod seats really goodseats. Yeah, yeah, that was
(53:34):
really good. Cool. Anything else, Jason, you want to ask of
Porter? Noah, I think Porterhas really hit all the major points.
He's like a pro. Yes,yes, Porter, Or anything else you
want to add, merchandise or otherobservations or commercial break stuff, anything that
you left off that you made anote of. Not really like I said,
I mean, I think the biggestone of the biggest things that surprised
(53:55):
me was just how how was Iwas unable to tell and the matches and
the actual action of the ring whenit was actually a commercial time out.
Yeah, but there's a you know, I think go by the merch stand.
So hopefully my other Denver residents willstep up and get some details about
that. But yeah, I mean, it was a good show, had
(54:15):
a great flow. The crowd wasinto Becking a lot. You know that
the backstage segment when she attacked Charlotte, the crowd was really into her,
the crowd, and I think thecrowd wanted to get behind her in the
match, but it seemed like theywere kind of rushing out to stop a
Becky chant almost and then right whenthe match was over, she kind of
(54:38):
took off and GoF the ramp ofthe lights out, wasn't really soaking in
the cheers or soaking in the crowd, all right, And then I'm trying
then I'm trying to think. Theonly thing else I would say is yeah,
I think the other cliffhanger, theother kind of point, you know,
plot point was the roost day Milwaukeedropped that. The crowd was really
into that, and the crowd startedchanting Milwaukee quite a bit through you know,
(55:00):
the rest that segment and then throughlawn as match as well. Very
cool. I appreciate it. Well, Port, we will take part in
our seven second dance break before weget to our next correspondent. That's right,
all right, thanks a lot.I appreciate it. Sure no problem,
Thanks guys, thanks for being aVP number two. Sure no problem.

All right, So now we arejoined by Aaron, who attended not
(57:13):
only SmackDown tonight in Denver, butRaw last night, so we can kind
of get an idea of what thetwo shows were like back on back to
back nights. Aaron, Welcome tothe Way Keller prosing post show. Glad
he took time to talk to us. All right, no problem, thanks
for having me. So are youjust exhausted from two nights at WWE or
energized? How do you feel afterdoing back to back nights? Say you
(57:34):
say I was exhausted this is actuallymy first time going to a live show.
So both goes nights. So so'si'd a pretty good time. That's
cool. Yeah, I didn't.I didn't know that when when we set
this up that you wudn't been toa live show before. What kept you
from going to live shows before? And what lured you to go this week?
Well? What the times in thepast of two kind of goes wa
tough? It's god of my work, says I get off pane late sometimes
(57:57):
and we just really haven't well notto go before. But I excided to
go on and I was able tomake some time to end up going to
these two these past two days. Are you a newer fan or just someone
who just was happy watching on TV? Fine watching TV. I've been a
fan for a while though, kindof back good to like kind of during
(58:17):
the Attitude era that's time frame,so yeah, oh wow, I'm kind
of watching it there since fans,So oh yeah, that's that's a long
time. I mean for most people, that's a long time. I can't
believe the attitude the Attitude air waslike doesn't feel like just yesterday to me
anymore. But I as a fanfor a long time, before that,
But it has been long enough thatif you were a fan in the Attitude
(58:38):
era, you are a long termfan, not a newer fan. I
can certainly classify as that. Sowell tell me this. So I'm gonna
try to ask you some little differentquestions than usual to keep things fresh air.
How did going to Raw for threehours and change feel different than going
to SmackDown and seeing you know twoor five live at the beginning and then
(58:59):
mix Match Challenge afterwards? Did youhave a preference at the at the experience
and did anything jump out to yousince these were your first two live shows.
Yeah, let's say right now sayit was a better experience. Definitely,
food by faster than did Yeah, what's the good time of both shows?
Though? Did? Let's go backto Raw last night for a moment,
(59:19):
And I want to ask you aboutthe the charity segment with Stephanie and
Hunter in the ring and the Hundairepresentative and the kids. I mean,
certainly, you know, the kidswere having a blast and and it was
you know, touching and all that, But from a live experience, I
think most people there paid money towatch people fight, not go to you
know, kind of a charity telethontype event. How did the crowd endure
(59:42):
that or where did they embrace itand think it was cool? What was
your what was your sense of thevibe in the building. Well, let's
do the vibe with fans have prettymuch enjoyed that. They did say you
deserve it to the kids. Idon't know. I'd say you enjoyed the
segment pretty well. And did youdid you think the pacing overaw said smack
On went swiftly. What was thepacing of raw like compared to SmackDown.
(01:00:04):
What do you think the differences werebetween the two nights, being in developing,
the pacing was a bits lower.Yes, uh, it really is.
Just the link of the show alot just kind of seemed to make
the drag mainly now from watching onTV for years, what surprised you most
about being there in person? II some people say I thought there'd be
(01:00:27):
announcing. It was kind of weirdwatching matches without, you know, announcers
talking in my ear. Other peoplehave different observations. Just for watching for
this long and then being in thebuilding. Did anything kind of surprise you
about that experience? Oh? Yeah, it was a little different and or
not here or not watching the matcheswhile commentary enough that certainly noticeably that they
kind of liked the ring here. That's say sounds different or carrier out on
(01:00:53):
TV. You kind of saw atworked going down there, so definitely I
shouldn't see how I put the showtogether. What going back to last night
with Raw, what was the crowd? How would you assess the crowd's reaction
to Roman reign? So there wasthat kind of remarkable standout moment during the
Shield promo where Seth talks and everyone'schair in the shield, their chair in
(01:01:14):
him, and then Roman holds themicrophone up to his mouth, it begins
to talk and it just turns intobooze and Roman stops in his tracks and
kind of laughs like, oh God, what do I gotta do? And
the crowd's booing him, and thenyou know, later on in the night,
you know he's active in the ringtoo. How how would you assess
the crowd reaction to Roman? Didit get better as the night went on
or did they stay kind of hostiletowards him? Well, it was better
(01:01:36):
for him most part of the nomatch. At the end of the night,
Boil a few bull spattered around, but didn't take any too bad it
sorry by Bury than it was atthe beginning of the show. Did you
stick around last night after Raw wentoff the air to get a sense of
if, if, if anything elsehappened after Raw went off the air?
Yeah, I dud stuck around orstick around? Yeah? So what happened
(01:02:00):
after Raw? What out there? After the show was just uh the kind
of the just a segment kind ofloving the Shield and Baron Corban and Stroman
signal mack in tire, Stroman signMacings tire kind of was wrong with the
Shield for a while and now alsowent during that total segment afterwards the Shield
(01:02:22):
end up. That's about Baron Corbana bit. Yeah. Corban was trying
to act like he wanted to bepart of the Shield and and uh basically
the Rose. After a while,he asked the crowd, uh, what
what they wanted to Shield to dowith the quick Cordman uh kind of geting
three choices. One was guess I'mjoined the crew and a second choice was
(01:02:45):
to U say the Shield just beatup on Cordman. And the third choice
he gave was he wanted to thesingle song My Little Teapot. That was
kind of weird kind of choice chosethat third one. Cord wasn't really into
it too much to know that that'sthe time I've been the times that were
(01:03:07):
wrong with a Stroman and Sigler Mecantire. But then a little bit after
that or when kind of song Alittle bit now, after all that went
on, the shield end up doingthe triple bound to a table, after
all that one that's got out Anight ended. I don't think you probably
(01:03:28):
expected that your first in person prowrestling arena experience would end with wrestlers singing
I'm a little teapot. You alwaysget to have that memory, Aaron.
No one, nobody can ever takethat away from you. They'll say,
what was your first wrestling match?Like, Well, it ended with the
top heel singing I'm a little teapot, So yeah, you got that.
(01:03:53):
Jason, go ahead and check inwith a with a question for Aaron.
Well, I was gonna say,I think we gotta have Wade start writing
comedy on Raw because Aaron's hysterical.Here. Let me ask you, let
me ask you this. One ofthe big stories coming out of Raw last
night, unfortunately, was the injurylived Morgan. I don't know where you
(01:04:15):
were sitting or where you may havebeen positioned in the building when that happened,
when she got kicked and got knockedloopy by Bribellan. Is that something
that you from where you were sittingnoticed and could tell right away that something
was wrong or did you not realizethat until after the fact. I didn't
realize it until after the fact though, when I actually came back home enough,
(01:04:39):
I started reading about some things, and I thought it that happened on
anything I noticed immediately. Yeah,it had to be weird, like seeing
just two wrestlers the rest of thematch, if you picked up on it.
But I guess with all the youknow, if you just you're just
kind of not you're just watching theaction of the ring, you might not
think twice about a wrestler at ringsidenot participating after getting knocked out. You
might think they're just selling. Yeah, that was that was quite the quite
(01:05:01):
the conversation piece coming out of comingout of Raw last night. Who how
would you? Who would you rankAaron as the biggest stars of the last
two nights? I did, didone or two people stand out? Both
Ron's back down collectively as Yeah, those were the biggest stars for sure?
Or was it a cluster of fouror five or six people? M let's
(01:05:24):
say, see, I got abiggest reaction, especially is just so fresh
in my mind from the night wasaj Styles and Daniel Ryan certainly got big
reactions. I think who had abig reaction from last night? Lashly probably
got a nice reaction from the Denverbeing with the Colorado connection. Well yeah,
(01:05:44):
we actually didn't get a good reactioneverything from town everything yet and the
Shields got a pretty good reaction aswell tonight, of whom I notice as
well? Oh who did tonight anew day? Oh? Yeah day yep.
And and as far as last nightwent, was there a most popular
wrestler of all? I mean youuh Ron Rows, uh seth Rawlins,
(01:06:06):
Bobby Lashly. I'm trying to thinkwho else would have been in the mex
Jason helped me out there. Ifsomebody else jumps out, who might have
been the top baby face on Rawlast night? Dean Ambrose, like anyone
jump out as the most popular onRow. I guess Rondo wasn't there,
So that was a live crowd experience. Yeah, vere so quick, so
(01:06:29):
things round it was in and certainlygot some cheers, but Mars who was
there lay Rowlins and lastly the bestreactions I'd probably say speaking, I'd say
Lashly got one of the best reactionshe's got since he came back to w
W. A Yeah, I agreewith that, Aaron. What was the
worst part about going to rob thesel W b Roun's backed on the last
(01:06:53):
two nights? Was there any aspectof it, either the logistics of dealing
with going to a wrestling show inperson or sitting through certain segments or aspects
of it anything that that wasn't thatwasn't fun. Didn't really say that's not.
Basically enjoyed myself to have the twonights, so basically it was my
first time going. Yeah, notreally disappointed me that much, beating the
(01:07:15):
novelty factor is still there. Well, if you don't mind us asking what
did you do? What'd you payfor your tickets? Where did you sit?
And do you think you got goodvalue for your money? After everything
was send on the paid a beltof forty d dollars each night, but
I wasn't able to see in thesame seed each night because I decided to
get to tickets a little bit laterbut uh on while I was about across
(01:07:40):
from the stage, the stage mainlyand like in a like in the many
seating area, wasn't a fight greenside a big behind that just in the
regular seats and SmackDown kind of oppositethe hard camera kind of almostn't staying marry
with this kind of the opposite sideof a can uh did for the mixed
(01:08:02):
match challenge? Did was that We'veheard from people saying it has kind of
a different feel to it. Thewrestlers kind of lighten up their mood a
little bit, get their more playful. It's less serious. What you think
about the way the Mixed Match Challengewas presented at the end of SmackDown tonight,
Yeah, mis was sorry we werea bit more lighthearted. Yeah,
there was a portion of a matchthe miss and Oscar were involved in.
(01:08:25):
Uh. Then he would point tohimself and the family mooing quite the Oscar
and they would cheer this. Uh. Once get there, I noticed when
did the crowd Mixed Match Challenge? So did the crowd stick around for Mixed
Match Challenge? A lot of thecrowd here. I did see a few
people leave before I actually they werebefore my shot Challenge began, but uh
(01:08:45):
what a lot of the crowd stokearound for that? Yeah? Good good?
And did they advertise any any darkmatch after Mixed Match Challenger? Was
Mixed Match Challenge the main event forthe whole night? Yeah? Mis nice
challenge? Was it? Good night? After night? I was saving done.
Did they advertise any matches that youknow of that they didn't deliver on?
I'm not sure. I can't say. I've played a lot of attentions
to a lot of that. Andsecond, what matches were advertised? Yeah?
(01:09:09):
Yeah, all right, Well cool, Aaron. I appreciate you talking
to us tonight and telling us aboutyour first live wrestling events. I'm you
got my little teapot on Monday nightand a seventh second dance Off on Tuesday

of forget that it's there. Ifeel like I'm getting old and grumpy.
I have Instagram people. Oh okay, well, I see, I know
there's Instagram stories and I gotta gethip to all this stuff. So the
best way is on Twitter at atsolom Monster on Twitter. By the time
you get hip too, it'll beit'll be likes please the Twitter will buy
Instagram now, Yes, yes,all right, let's get to the mail
(01:12:03):
bay. We got Eric from NewJersey. He said, I wanted to
get your take on the Miss Briandynamic in wwwe's execution of the storyline thus
far. Personally, I'm really enjoyingthe way they've incorporated Carmela and our truth,
even though Carmela's face turn feels alittle random, although not that I
think about it, I think Iremember her getting some clean wins in the
past few weeks. Either way,I'm excited to see a baby face Carmela,
despite how good her character was asa heel. Also, do you
(01:12:26):
have any insight into the Miss Briandynamic behind the scenes when I watched them
go back and forth on the mic? Again? Help but wonder if they're
friends or at least friendly backstage.Starry for long email. Love the show.
Everyone should go vip oh ps.One more note on Carmela. I
know she got a lot of criticismfor her in ring abilities during a title
run, but I get the senseshe's been genuinely trying to improve by snugging
up and trying to trying out anew spot or two. As anyone else
(01:12:46):
noticed this, Jason, your take, Yeah, I mean I noticed once
she was champion, there were certainmoves she was incorporating or trying to incorporate.
Whether or not she was successful andmoving from where she had been,
I guess is in the eye ofthe beholder. I wasn't really too thrilled
with her runs as champion. Ithink as a character and a personality,
(01:13:08):
she's fantastic. I think in alot of ways, she's like Alexa Bliss.
I don't know too many people whowould rave about Alexa. You know,
it's from an in ring perspective.I think there's a lot of people
on the raw roster who would beand should be ranked ahead of her,
And I think it's a similar thingwith Carmela on SmackDown. But she's got
(01:13:29):
a great personality. You were kindof joking earlier. Maybe the role for
her is, you know, inbalet, for someone. When she introduced
Daniel Bryan tonight, I even thoughtfor those five or ten seconds, she
did a hell of a job asa ring announcer. You know, so
maybe who knows, maybe her fortein the future is in a different position,
But that was that was sort ofmy take on her as far as
(01:13:50):
injecting truth in Carmela into the wholeyou know, dynamic. I don't really
think it's it's necessary. I mean, I get they're trying to promote the
whole mixed match challenge, but justfocusing on Brian and Miss. Look,
I'm sure they don't hate each other'sguts. But do I think they're friendly
and they hang out backstage? No, No, I don't think they do.
I've heard that, you know, when the things were getting really heated
(01:14:12):
between them on Talking Smack, thatthey were just afterwards, you know,
hugging and celebrating and really happy withtheir performances, and that there wasn't you
know, any legit heat there. Now, that's not Sometimes you know,
people congratulate each other for a goodsegment, but deep down they're like,
I can't believe he went there.But I don't. I don't sense that
that's the case with Miss and Brian. But yeah, I don't get the
(01:14:35):
sense that they probably are are similarpeople outside of having a passion for their
jobs and you know, you know, pride in their jobs, I guess,
and pride in what they do ascharacters. All Right, I'm next
stop Paul Ellen Ridge, New York. I remember how Brian James was saying
he just wants fans to pick aside when it comes to Charlotte and Becky.
Sure seems like with the writing thatthey are trying to force the fans
(01:14:56):
to pick Charlotte. Becky clearly cameoff as the heel tonight, attacking Charlotte
backstage in a segment and the segmentwith Lana. It definitely feels like they're
trying to make the fans cheer thatcheer for Becky feel bad because of how
she acts. Haven't they learned theirlesson with Roman Reigns. Listen to what
the fans want, don't tell themmy last thought as our truth is entertaining.
(01:15:16):
Let's see my last thought? Isour truth that entertaining, that being
associated with him gets Carmela to bea baby face again? Or were missing
Mariice that hated his heels? Orwas it both? I was wondering where
Ty was during that segment, buthe's he got a US title match.
Dada learn from our truths lessons thatto get that? I just want more
true TV. It was actually fun. It seems like Our Truth is trying
to make Carmela and Brian break That'sa good observation, like Our Truth does
(01:15:40):
seem like somebody who's trying to getthe people who he's around to like laugh
at something that he's doing in theway that he delivers it. People love
Our Truth behind the scenes have goingback to the ten a days as round
the Truth killings, I mean people, He's just there's a reason he stuck
around as long as he has.He brightens up the room and people love
him. And I think that Jasonthe fans are getting a chance in these
segments to get to know Truth alittle bit better and his kind of unique
(01:16:08):
personality. And I've sort of feltguilty at times enjoying some of the stuff
that they've been doing with him.But I'm feeling less guilty lately because I
just think the material is better, but it's still serving him and his kind
of offbeat sense of humor. More. They found a way to write for
him, I guess, and givinghim some freedom to shine. Yeah,
(01:16:29):
And that's the key. I waskind of wondering them myself, because I
find myself enjoying most of his segmentsand finding them genuinely funny. I can't
say the same for most comedy segmentsin WWE, So I wonder how much
influence perhaps he's having in these segments. But like I was saying earlier,
I mean, I just feel likeyou need that right balance of comedic injection
into the show. It kind ofreminds me, you know, back in
(01:16:51):
the day. Were they silly,Yes, But I enjoyed the hell out
of the segments with Book or Tand gold Dust, and that was sort
of the comic relief of those shows. They worked well together, they had
chemistry together, and over time goldDust just sort of transition from being a
serious character to somebody who you canrely on for comic relief. And I
think, you know, truth fortruth, it's the perfect role. You
(01:17:15):
know, he doesn't have to Thefocus isn't on in ring. You know.
Again, people don't realize he isan older guy compared to a lot
of the other you know faces onthe roster, so it's not like he
has to rely on in ring stuff. He can shine in other ways.
I think there was even a rumor, I don't know how how true this
was that at one time anyway hehad filmed was it a game show pilot?
I believe for the network, andI guess that it just didn't go
(01:17:38):
anywhere, But like, I couldtotally see him in a role like that.
Yeah, yeah, I could do. I think there's going to be
popular demand for truth TV to comeback. I mean, I think people
are genuinely not wanting this to bea one off. Yeah. No,
Look, my only request I wishthey would go old school with these things,
and they would kind of build alittle set for him, so instead
of being in the ring, he'dhave his own little set kind of in
(01:17:59):
the corner of the building and hecan bring people out and you know,
kind of like we used to havethe Brother Love Show and all these segments
back in the day. I thinkthat would be the great in the perfect
role for him. I agree. They're just so addicted to that that crowd
being in the background of every camerashot, and I don't I don't think
they need it. I got tokick out of how the Kevin Owen Show
moved back to the ring now thatthey don't need the stage to completely collapse,
(01:18:20):
you know, could they be moreorchestrated about that? All right,
let's go to Robert from Pittsburgh. They said, Hey, wait, I
just wanted to mention that the pairingof Naomi and Osca is really working for
me. Yes, I'd still liketo see all. I'd like to see
Osca still undefeated, plowing through everyone. Osca Naomi don't seem to really like
each other. I could see thesetwo riding together, going out to eat
(01:18:41):
together, et cetera. Also tonightit dawned on me that nobody seems to
be pairing a lot of the midcard women off into groups of two or
three. This makes me really suspecta women's tag title could be imminent.
Thanks for your time and go VIPeverybody. Thank you, Robert. So
yeah, a couple of things there. What do you think of Naomi and
Osca? Jason and are we lookingat the stage being set for a teketoe?
(01:19:04):
I am not a huge fan ofthe Naomi Oscar perring, just because
I think it's just I think Oscarcould be and should be doing so much
more right now. Charlotte and Beckythey have the spotlight for the championship,
but I just think, you know, you can certainly I think promote a
new face or two female face fromNXT to the SmackDown roster, because that's
(01:19:27):
the thing I do think they're lackinga little bit in terms of just the
number of female talents on the show. They could benefit I think from a
new face on there and maybe kindof feuding them with Oscar. One thought
I had before they had announced thistag team match for the Australia show was
and actually this is more an ideafor Evolution that I had. You know,
(01:19:48):
Osca could issue some sort of openchallenge and just she's obviously doing the
more I want to say comedic thing, but she's got this kind of buddy
pairing with Naomi. Look, I'msure some people enjoy it. I just
it's not the role that I envisionedfor Osca. It's really just I feel
(01:20:09):
they could be doing a lot moreand getting a lot more value out of
her instead of her just being almostlike an our Truth type angle or an
our Truth type situation. Even thoughonce she's in the ring, you know,
she's not the kind of person youwant to find yourself, you know,
sort of opposite in the ring withshe still has that toughness. She
won the match tonight. That's great. Maybe all warm to it. It
(01:20:30):
is something for Naomi to do becauseyou know, we could talk about how
Oscar didn't have a whole lot goingon. Naomi didn't either. You know,
Naomi was sitting in the back mostweeks. I'm sure that didn't please
her very much. So for her, it's great because it gets her a
role on TV, but I justthink OSCA could be doing so much more
than that. And then what wasthe second half of the question, Yeah,
(01:20:51):
the take team title possibility for awomen's vision. Yeah. I mean
I figured from day one when theyannounced this all women's pay per view that
they were going to build maybe somekind of tournament, have the finals at
that show. If they're gonna dowomen's tag team titles, I don't know
why you wouldn't pay it off ona show like that. So they haven't
announced anything yet. I think StephanieMcMahon made a comment many weeks ago saying
(01:21:15):
that you know, they would considerit, but they weren't going to do
it in time for this pay perview. I don't know that i'd buy
that. I do think we're headeddown that road, and I think that's
exactly why we're seeing a lot ofthese pairings lately, because they're gearing up
for some kind of tag team women'stournament. You would think, based on
Ron Smacktown this week that they havecanceled Evolution. I mean, they can't.
(01:21:35):
They can't get in mentioned right now. They so many events to promote.
I'm not even complaining, but mygod, they well suddenly it's off
the radar. Yeah, and look, I get all the reasons why they're
doing this Audio Arabia show. Theyfor business reasons. This is great for
them. They can have a bigstadium show in this country and then go
to a different country less than amonth later and have another stadium show and
(01:21:57):
make a whole bunch of money. The trade up there. It's kind of
like the three hour Raw thing. When Raw went to three hours. Oh
my god, it's been about sixyears now, but when Raw went to
three hours, Yeah, I'm sureUSA was and is paying them a whole
bunch of money for it. Butthe thing that I feared was audience burnout.
Well, look where we are now. We just had the Raw ratings
(01:22:18):
come out this week and this mayhave been one of the lowest, if
not the lowest RAW rating of alltime. And don't think for a second
that the length of the show doesn'thave something to do with that. You
know, burnout is a real thing. You run this many special shows at
once, they don't feel so special. Yeah, no, no, you're
right, and it's they're using upmatches that in kind of rapid fire and
(01:22:41):
having to book different finishes, andthey would otherwise if they were pacing things
at a normal level. And bythe way they snuck on there a little
sticker shock for some people that you'vegot to get up at five am and
the East coast two am on theWest coast if you want to see this
show live, So turn off youralerts on your phone and when you wake
up Saturday morning, go go watch. Hopefully they don't spoil it on their
(01:23:02):
website, like what the results areif there's a title change, because some
people log onto the network through wwdot com or you know whatever, and
it's like they're gonna be careful aboutthis these well, they'll spoil it right
there on their own Twitter feed. They've done that before too. I know.
It's so shortsighted. Now is it? Is it five am Eastern or
four am? I thought I thoughtmaybe it was four am. I thought
it was five and two. Ithought that's the times they put up on
(01:23:23):
the screen tonight on SmackDown. Butcheck check. You got a week week
or so to check? So well, I'm not waking up at five am
on my birthday, so I'll I'llwatch it at seven am. How about
that way you can just stay upall night your birthday. Now? What
are you? And are you anhour behind me? Are you an hour
behind where we are here in NewYork? Uh? No, we we
move when it's eight there at sevenhere? Ah? Got it? Yeah?
(01:23:46):
All right? Milo in La saysI might be the only one,
but I really enjoyed True TV tonight. See people watch that and enjoyed it
and felt guilty and thought, nobodyelse is enjoying this. But I have
to admit I liked it, Butno people like that sitement. Yes,
it was silly, but I reallythink silly is something ww ME needs to
do more of. It beats MissTV in the same cliche heel talk show.
Plus it gifts Truth and Carmel. It's something big to do on SmackDown
(01:24:09):
rather than wrestle and lose every week. I've been really enjoying truth recent mini
push come back, and I'm disappointedthis opportunity to do something with them only
lasted the first couple of segments ForSmackDown your thoughts on truth would be great
to hear. Thanks. Well,I mean we're already talked about truth,
but I wanted to read that inpart because people do think like I think
you watched that, You're like,God, that was funny, But I
don't Should I admit it? ShouldI admit that I liked it? And
(01:24:29):
people are, so I'm willing toadmit it. That was fun. That
was fun hash to take seven seconddance off. So all right, we'll
move on though. One way thatyou can help us sustain our schedule of
putting out podcasts throughout the week isby giving us a five star rating on
Apple Podcasts. Just go to ApplePodcasts and look for our Weight Killer Processing
podcast and Weight Killer Processing post showand give us a five star rating.
(01:24:50):
We hope you think we've earned thatscore with our fast turnaround times and our
quantity and quality of wrestling analysis throughoutthe week. So take a moment out
for us and do us favor andgive us a five star rating at Apple
Podcasts. That helps us on searchreturns and helps us grow. And if
you want, you can add afew comments about what you like about the
programs in the comments section. Thankyou so much. Alicia Cincinnatios, Hey
(01:25:15):
Wade, I have to say thatmy life was changed after the all women's
pay per view was announced. Pleasedon't mind Stark hasim me says in parentheses.
She says in parentheses, excuse me. I attended the Cincinnati Raw when
they made the pay per view announcement, and I have to admit that I
was hoping more for a women's tagteam Belt championship. It seems that there
have been more women tag matches inthe past few weeks, especially given the
match tonight with the NOMA Oscar versusMandy Mandy excuse me, long night,
(01:25:40):
Mandy Rosen Sonya Deville with the iconicson commentary? Are the belts inevitable?
That, by the way, Ihaven't heard mentioned once tonight, although the
Super Showdown has been mentioned at leastonce with every person with a microphone tonight.
Refriend to the Revolution pay per view. Thanks is always great content.
My husband Micah and I love thepodcast. I think, you know with
the women's tag championship, and Imeant to mention this and when the last
(01:26:03):
emailer brought it up, I thinkit would be tough if they add another
title. I mean, it's toughenough with a dual brand pay PERVI he's
getting the US and IC titles defended. But if you put the women's tag
match, I mean, it canbe on the kickoff show and it's not
a you know, terrible thing ifthat happens, but it's one of those
to me, you could have thatas an attraction where that title gets defended
(01:26:26):
more often on the TV shows. And you could have and again this kind
of breaks from the format of whatthey do now, but have one take
team championship and have the champions whoeverare the titleholders, float between the two
shows because there's just not enough womenteams to really have a full fledged division.
And I know we've had take divisionsbefore where it's two teams, you
(01:26:47):
know, feuding at each other endlessly, rock and Roll Express, Midnight Express,
Freebirds, Von Erics. I mean, there's classic examples of that over
the years. But it would bedifferent, and it would it would allow
allow the tag matches on rod Ameans something for contendership because the winner of
this match next week faces the women'sstate team champions who are coming over from
SmackDown, and you kind of getthat brand rivalry year round with the women
(01:27:11):
who aren't in the singles title huntat that exact moment, and I've mixed
feelings about it, because if you'regonna do a roster split and you start
blurring the lines, it can kindof snowball. But overall, I just
I don't know if do you haveone brand with tag titles, or do
you introduced two sets of tag titles, then you just have too many belts
and they're never defended on pay perview because there's not room. Yeah,
(01:27:31):
I don't like the idea of havingtwo sets of tag team belts. I
just think it's overkill, and towhat I was saying before, at least
on SmackDown, I just don't thinkthere are enough women to do it.
I like the idea that you proposeof having one set of sort of floating
tag team champions who do go crossbrand. But let's remember here, Corey
Graves is an announcer on both shows, and so it's not like they haven't
(01:27:55):
blurred the lines in other ways upto this point. I do think Page
did ban Briebello from SmackDown after Rawlast night, though I think, well
I should, I certainly hope so. At least you know there's unsafe working
conditions if nothing else. I mean, my god, Actually, I you
know that's one of those things. You know, when John Cena would float
back and forth, they said,oh, he's a free agent. And
I guess the same applies for theBellows because we've seen Brie on bulls shows
(01:28:16):
and Nicki, who just wrestled onRaw this past week. Last I checked,
was still ONWWE dot com on theSmackDown roster. Yeah, so,
I guess once you earn legendary statusin this company, you earn the right
to float back and forth. Whichmaybe that's the idea. Maybe the Bella
Twins are gonna win the tag teamgold and they'll be able to float.
They'll have a reason to float betweenRon SmackDown. Yeah all right. Zach
(01:28:41):
from Texas just wants to rave aboutSmackDown. He says, how good is
SmackDown? Right now? Our Truthand Carmela have surprisingly good chemistry. I
think Melot has finally found her perfectpartner for her niche. Danny Bryan had
to feel a little awkward explaining howto excuse a proper yes kick, knowing
what his execute I should say,how to execute a proper yes kick.
Knowing his wife did it to LiveMorgan the night before. I thought that
(01:29:02):
was like, I don't know ifthat was on purpose or what. You
know. He's like, well, here's how you do a proper yes kick.
You gotta row your hip to getmore power and all that. I'm
like, you shouldn't be talking aboutyes kicks right now, Brian, it's
too soon. So anyway, theIrish bad ass Becky Lunch continues to be
the best part of the show when. I love that she got to sustain
Becky chant off of a video attackof Charlotte. I could watch her whooping
(01:29:24):
the hell out of Charlotte every weekend. It would never get old. I
also find it very telling that theyput her in a match with a lot
of knowing fo well, Lana wasn'tgoing to get cheered over her speaking a
Lana too. It was brilliant untilthey added another layer to the russef Day
drama with the suggestion of a onenight stand between Aiden and Lana in Milwaukee.
SmackDown is such a quality show rightnow. By the way, Zach,
(01:29:44):
I think Brian James will be lookingto follow you on Twitter, so
after that he's very happy with that. It is SmackDown is a better show
right now. It's not just becauseof two hours, and it's not consistently
great, but it is. Itis the better show I think with the
better talent. It's not bloated, and they do you have some of the
right mix of silliness and silly isn'talways good. In fact, in progressing,
it's often not good. But they'repulling it off and there's enough going
(01:30:08):
right right now. That and alsothe fact that you don't get burned out
seeing everybody every week I think isa positive. Also, it leads you
on anymore. Yeah, I agreeto me. There's never there's never really
a reason that people have to beon every show every single week. Raw
the issue you have there, youhave an extra hour to fill and so
you don't always have the luxury ofholding people back because you have TV segments
(01:30:29):
that need to be filled in there. SmackDown has a leg up on Raw
in that respect. They can almostit's almost like cycling talent out where they're
only there every few weeks. SoI think that helps. I think you
made an important point, which isthat SmackDown is not consistently great. I
do think it's consistently better than Raw, but it definitely has its week moments.
(01:30:50):
I thought that this week was oneof the better showings for all the
reasons that you know, the personjust outlined and we talked about it at
the top of the show. Youhave these two key storylines right now that
left you wanting more and wondering what'scoming next, And I think that's an
important part of the formula that makesmac networks so well. All right,
(01:31:10):
another compliment for SmackDown Cyril and Edmontonsays, I know eighty percent of the
mail bag is Becky Lynch right now, and deservedly so. Actually it's more
our truth this week, how Iwas going to say. But I loved
how she is expanding her presence beyondjust destroying Charlotte every chance she gets.
Stoking the fire between Rouse even Lanawas great, although it just makes me
continue to cheer her. She isthe MVP all over the show. The
only way for w WB to turnBecky heel is for her to not want
(01:31:31):
to be a PW Torch VAP subscriber. Very well done, Cyril, Cybril
Cayrol see y ri l. Ineed a pronunciation on that that's I'm not
sure, but Cyril, Cyril, yeah, all right, cool, we'll
go with that. Justin says,I think right returns on episode one thousand.
That's all he said. And oh, Cyril also says, sent another
(01:31:56):
email here. What if Joe goingto AJ's house ends just like Stone Cold
going to Brian Pell's house. That'dbe a nice throwback. And in regard
to Aiden's video evidence next week wentit be funny if it was a video
of Carmelo which she was blonde, and then they could continue to fuse,
continue to confuse Carmela and Maurice andLana. I don't know, let's leave
the writing to the professionals. Idon't know that might work. I mean,
our truth, getting Maurice and Carmelomixed up, and then that being
(01:32:19):
the excuse for Carmela to change yourhair color? Is that that is?
That's kind of fun. That wouldbe an amazing piece of storyline consistency,
their attention to detail that we don'tnormally see on this show. So I
would not hold my breath on that, No, I would not. All
right, Jason, thanks been realfun talking again, and I We'll have
to do this again always I'm gladwe had a great show to talk about
