Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's new with Menace?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
What's up everybody? And welcome to another edition of What
Stewpot I Managed. I'm joined by bort Ak Brett. He's
an audio expert and syndication expert. What the Woinnies Show
borning show that you can hear across the United States
and around the world on The Woody Show podcast. We
are joined today by our friends like Eric coming to
us live from Downey, California, and just over Yonder and
whit your California would be our buddy Tyler and our
(00:29):
lovely friend Julie Anne will be joining us in.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
A second but very good podcast. Last episode, Eric, you
missed it. I don't know if you had a chance
to listen to it. I know you're very busy.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
But I just I'm always upset when I miss Tyler
fest an explosive around great.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Yeah, I enjoyed it. If you did not hear the
last episode, go back and listen to it. I just
want to talk about movies real quick. I know Tyler
you hit up a bunch of movie theaters just recently
and you saw what Superman?
Speaker 5 (00:58):
Did you see Fantastic for I've seen Jurassic Park, I've
seen f one saw Superman Fantastic Four, Like every big
movie that's come out so far, I've seen it.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
He's our movie correspondent. We talked about Superman. What did
you think about Fantastic Four?
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I thought it was great. I thought it was pretty solid,
especially for I guess technically an origin story movie or
the end credit scenes were pretty good. I think overall,
just a really really solid movie.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
All right. Well, another movie that all of us probably
had a chance to see, Happy Gilmour two on Netflix.
Who saw it?
Speaker 4 (01:31):
I haven't watched it yet yet.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:32):
You know me with these kind of things, guys, Jesus,
I'm always all in and pumped, and then like seven
months from now, I'd be like, hey, I finally saw
Happy Good too, Brett.
Speaker 6 (01:41):
I'm worse than Eric, So I haven't watched it.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Maybe so okay, without giving away a lot, Julianne Tyler,
were your.
Speaker 7 (01:48):
Thoughts, I personally thought it was great, and you just
you can't expect the best, but it is the best,
I think.
Speaker 8 (01:56):
I think.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
What I'll say is, I think it is a grown
up version of how Gilmore. Because the original version is
very slapstick comedy. This is like it growing up a
bazillion cameos in it. Now our movie connoisseur Tyler, What
did you think about it?
Speaker 1 (02:11):
It was pretty good and obviously it's an Adam Sandler movie.
It doesn't take itself seriously and knows exactly what it is.
It is a perfect straight to streaming, non theater movie.
It's it's solid. I thought it did the sequel really well.
I thought it tied in pretty well. There's people out
there that are saying, this is the worst thing I've
ever seen in my life. What were you expecting?
Speaker 7 (02:33):
Man?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Like, that's come on, Like, why.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
Do you why do you go into it expecting it
to be like this marvelous movie, Like it's a spin
off of a movie from when we were younger and
whenever is the second movie better than the first?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Like, yeah, it's a spin off of a movie about
a guy who plays hockey and gets into golf.
Speaker 8 (02:53):
What do you expect?
Speaker 1 (02:54):
What was gonna happen?
Speaker 7 (02:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:55):
Hold on, hold on, there's under great sequels. Mighty Ducks
two was great. Empire Strikes Back was.
Speaker 7 (03:00):
I also use the word rare, so I didn't say ever, Okay,
it's just a rare.
Speaker 8 (03:05):
Thing that happens. If the second one is better than
the first one.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Is all that's it.
Speaker 8 (03:09):
I actually watched it.
Speaker 7 (03:11):
That was one of the things I wanted to do
for my birthday, is like just be left.
Speaker 8 (03:14):
Alone in the morning, have my coffee.
Speaker 7 (03:16):
And I wanted to watch the Adam Sandler movie because
Kevin didn't want to watch it with me. Why He's like,
I didn't really find the first one that funny.
Speaker 8 (03:23):
I'm like, you're not funny.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Get out of my face.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (03:29):
So I sat in my room and I was like
busting up the whole time.
Speaker 8 (03:32):
I thought it was so funny.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah, Like the only thing this one is missing is
Bob Barker and that's because he's dead. Okay, so like
there's nothing you can really do Boiler's Yeah, I he
has passed. Rip it. It'd be kind of weird if
he was in this one, But like it's a solid movie.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Now, something that you care about way more. Football is back, baby,
let's go.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
Oh, I'll see you guys in February.
Speaker 6 (03:56):
I was gonna say, is that way Eric has a
little bit more of a let's just say defeated to today?
Is it because the season's.
Speaker 9 (04:04):
Man's work is defeated, But you should be excited, right, tired?
I mean, yeah, it's always good to actually get like
you know, that's the baby. It's always it's always good
to get out of the summer because you hit a
point where it's like, okay, give me something to talk
about and let's not stop talking about lists and let's
watch football.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
Yeah, there's a little bit of breaking news that was
was just sent to me and Eric that I think
you guys should know about. Yes, So, speaking of football,
ESPN and the NFL, they've agreed to a blockbuster, billion
dollar deal that will see red zone move to ESPN.
Speaker 4 (04:36):
What God, I hate the way you read things, man,
Well why you go announce your voice?
Speaker 7 (04:42):
Why?
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Like I hate it. It's just so pretentious to me,
Like what's the what's the voice change for? Like I
didn't listen to a single thing you said because I
was so annoyed.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
But you know what, that's you you're missing out to ESPN.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Eric, has this been building up this week?
Speaker 4 (05:00):
For the second I'm going to read this and try
to say, like, dude, shut up and just read it.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
You know what, you have fun working for the mouse buddy.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Okay this people are scared of, Eric, But this is
why I love and adorn him.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
So much, you guys, So what does this mean for
people that don't watch that?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Oh, Red Zone is the eight hours of commercial free
football that you can watch, And basically it's the guy
going from game to game whenever a team gets pretty
close to the end zone wherever there's a big moment,
they try to stick with that game and then they
flip flop back and forth between the games. It has
the octobox which can show like eight games That lunch
was just pretty cool. I don't know it's it's lived
(05:44):
on It's been on YouTube TV for the past two years.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
I think it's going to ESPN.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Don't know if it's going to be as soon as
this season, considering that's in like six weeks, so it
might be next season, but we'll see.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
Yeah, now people are saying that ESPN was hurting, they're
going ahead and they're making this massive deal. Do you
think they made this move because of that?
Speaker 1 (06:05):
ESPN has been hurting just a little bit. Everyone's kind
of sick of the Stephen A. Smith thing, or at
least you know most people are, and then it's just
not what it used to be. And I think they
know that. So that's probably one of the reasons why
they went after NBA on TNT. So they brought in
like Ernie Shack and Charles Barklay and all those dudes.
And now you're going after the big one, which is,
(06:25):
you know, basically all the NFL properties. You just want
to I think they realized that they lost a lot
of their audience and they got to bring them back
anyway they can.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
All right, Julianne, it was your birthday? How was that?
Any good stories out of that? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (06:39):
I mean Friday night was the party day, and I
went out with my girlfriends and the laugh Factory guys.
Speaker 8 (06:46):
It was really good.
Speaker 7 (06:48):
Oh and then after that we went dancing a little bit,
and then we went to a brewery and then after
that we just went home and thought about somewhere else
to go, but just ended up in my bed dancing
around and wrestling and.
Speaker 8 (07:02):
Drinks in my bed. Oh hell yeah, it was fun.
Speaker 7 (07:06):
And Sunday, on my actual birthday, I just did mom stuff.
We went to the concert in the park. It celebrated,
I know, I know. You know what the worst part is,
I went to my parents' house.
Speaker 8 (07:16):
We're like, oh, well, I have like a lunch for you.
Make some corneatha tacos, and I was like, okay, great.
Speaker 7 (07:21):
They made my three year old because she turned three
on the twenty fourth of July. They made her cake,
put the number three candle on there, we sang happy
birthday to her.
Speaker 8 (07:31):
They didn't make me a cake.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Wow, me no candle, and so.
Speaker 7 (07:38):
They re lit her candle, her three candle and sang
to me. And then they sent me home with a
birthday card. My mom's giving me money to get.
Speaker 8 (07:48):
My hair done.
Speaker 7 (07:48):
But the cards date didn't say seven twenty seven. It
said seven twenty four, which is my three year old's birthday.
Speaker 4 (07:59):
Wow.
Speaker 7 (08:00):
Yeah, yeah, coold game, freaking rude, very nice.
Speaker 8 (08:06):
Like isn't it my birthday? Like she's a kid. I'm like,
I don't care how old she is.
Speaker 7 (08:13):
Never once in my forty one years of life have
I ever had a sing for anybody else besides me?
Speaker 8 (08:18):
And now here I am.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
That's my birthday. I'm forty one.
Speaker 8 (08:21):
I know I can find wine.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Baby, Randy.
Speaker 6 (08:24):
Anything you'd like to say about that.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
We'll get it right next week.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Yeah we go, there, we go. Well, it sounds like
you said have fun outher than the family part.
Speaker 7 (08:33):
Yeah, and I'm actually gonna go out again tomorrow to celebrate.
I was supposed to celebrate with me and my other friends.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
Yeah, speaking, what's wrong with you?
Speaker 7 (08:42):
Because this, yes, tomorrow is actually the first thing that
we ever planned. This was like tomorrow was supposed to
be the day Friday. Yeah, last Friday was like last minute,
let's go out really quick.
Speaker 8 (08:54):
And I was like all right, fine, Remember.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
We went to Villains and Julian was like, I never
go out. I just want to hang.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
Out with you, yea.
Speaker 8 (09:02):
For my birthday?
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (09:04):
Have you guys seen my Instagram lately? Crickets?
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Nothing?
Speaker 7 (09:06):
I know?
Speaker 3 (09:07):
I mean I did. Yeah?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
What was that?
Speaker 4 (09:10):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (09:11):
Julian with a cover band and her friends and twerking
in front.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
Of them for the millionth time?
Speaker 8 (09:17):
That was January.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
The only story you've been bringing up January? So January July.
Speaker 8 (09:24):
I go out all the time.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Damn.
Speaker 8 (09:26):
See what I'm saying, guys, I.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
See it doesn't matter. Yeah, all right. In major news
for everybody in this room, are you guys finally going
to make the trip to Japan? Because next year you
finally get yourself a Pokemon theme park? You say, let's go?
What are you gonna go?
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Maybe?
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Maybe? Are you gonna buy me in my flight?
Speaker 4 (09:51):
Do I have to just go and record podcasts?
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Now? I have definitely softened up my anti Japan stance
with in the past couple of years.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
He's mister international. Now he has a passport, he's ready.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
That's part of it.
Speaker 4 (10:07):
I want to know that what was the anti Japan stance.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Cause I did not want to go to Japan whatsoever.
I had no interest in doing it. Just also the
earthquake thing. Just didn't care for it. I don't know
at Andrea's fault. Well, that's not my choice. Okay, there's
just things that make choice.
Speaker 6 (10:23):
He used to move back.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
We'll come back to this later anyways. Anyways, I don't
I don't know what it is. But Japan, whoever's on
their tourism board is doing a great job, because now
I'm all in and I kind of want to get
the official American correspondent for Japan.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
So I'm on their tourism board. I wish, But yeah,
I definitely saw some things on the calendar for next
year that maybe will involve Japan for me at least,
because I want to get back soon and next year
is when the theme park opens. I'm just saying I'll
throw it out there to you guys if you want
to tack along.
Speaker 6 (11:00):
Here's the thing I've told you already. I really want
to go. I have every desire in the world to go.
I am concerned that once I go, I am not coming.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Back And is that a bad thing.
Speaker 6 (11:13):
It's almost like it's shipped my little furry ones over
a cruise ship all the way here.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
No, but it's good.
Speaker 6 (11:20):
I'm not coming back, like it's too amazing.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Yeah. It did have me thinking though, when it came
to this theme park, some theme parks that I haven't
been to in a while. All this week on The
Witty Show, we've been given away tickets for six Flags. Dude,
I was thinking, the last time I've been to six
Flags Magic Mountain is when they launched Twisted Colossues. Really, yeah,
I have not been. Onen's the last time you've guys gone.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
I think mine was like X two. I think how
we're all framing them by like yeah X two.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:51):
My wife doesn't like roller coasters like that level. So
it's like it's a waste of time to go and
just stand in line and write stuff by myself.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Yeah, because this roller coaster heaven, you would think you
will go more on a regular basis.
Speaker 6 (12:01):
It's just where it's located. And because of where we
live in the Greater Los Angeles area, Eric lived closer
to Knots in Disneyland, that's where you go. I lived
closer to Universal. Six Flags is great for the Rice.
I always love their DC area. I love everything with Batman,
everything that they had. It's just yeah, go north.
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Yeah. The majority of times when I went as a
kid was for field trips.
Speaker 6 (12:21):
Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
I went three times with for field trips and twice
on my own.
Speaker 7 (12:25):
I did not.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
I think my third grade field trip. We did like
a weekend at SeaWorld, oh, which was amazing.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Yep, yeah, yeah, my grad night from Northern California. We
left early in the morning. We stopped at six Flags
during the day, did six Flags. Then our whole class
stopped at some random hotel in Los Angeles. Everybody like showered,
changed your clothes, and then we took the buses to Disneyland.
(12:55):
And we're at Disneyland until like five in the morning,
and then everybody hopped back on our buses and we
drove right back to Northern California.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
We did the We did six Flags for middle school
and then yeah, we did the Disneyland one for high school.
Speaker 7 (13:07):
Now we got booted out of Disneyland, our whole entire
my class, No, no, no, not my class, Like I think
class of like two thousand did the school district. I
don't know if it was or Sandma's High School, but
one of the schools did something bad when they were there,
so they ruined it for all the upcoming seniors.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
So I think similar happened to Downey too. Leanne talked
about how like the year after she went to Disneyland
for high school grad night, they got kicked out, like
they can't go back any.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
I remember something similar also happened to one of the
schools in the Wittier school district. I just can't.
Speaker 7 (13:43):
Yeah. So we had our grad night at the Erwindale Speedway.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
Oh that's so nine o nine I love it heaven.
Speaker 8 (13:53):
Oh yeah, we were not nine five one back then.
We're La County. Come on, get with.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
It, are far enough east Man, you go pass Pasadena,
you're basically Pomona.
Speaker 7 (14:06):
La County.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
They're basic.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
People.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Yeah. I was also thinking, man, I haven't been to
Knots for a long time too.
Speaker 6 (14:15):
I was just thinking that as well. I need to
get my pass back.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
I think the last time I've been to Knots was
when I was with you guys.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
So I was probably a little over two years ago.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
I think you do not season passes are ready to
go if you don't want to break the bank.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Every time I do my research, Knots is second to
Disney every single time, over to Universal and six Flags.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
It's easy to get into. It has like multiple different
parking lots. It's easy to park at as opposed to
Universal and six Flags and parking lot is so huge
to get through, right. But also the framing and how
they do everything with Knots, especially the the area that
was redone when we went there, the Fiesta Village. I
got redone.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Uh huh.
Speaker 6 (14:52):
That place is so nice looking and the food is
still so awesome. But the one thing I really love
about Knots if you get a season pass, you can
add on a parking pass for the season, oh like
ninety bucks nice and that you go three times it
pace for itself like that's a steal.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
And Universal. I think I went during Halloween when they
had the weekend. Did the theme or something like that.
That was a couple of years ago.
Speaker 6 (15:18):
Right, we went for the opening of Super Nintendo World.
Speaker 3 (15:22):
Eh, okay, it went.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
For that all right.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Then that's the last time I've been.
Speaker 6 (15:25):
And I assume that you and Tyler would be going
as soon as Fast and the Furious the ride opens up.
Maybe maybe maybe, Oh that's right. Tyler doesn't like rides,
remember it nots. We had to like force him to
get on a couple of rides.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
But I'm getting on that horse ride with us. Yeah,
we got him on the horse ride Express.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
That was lit.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Yeah. I'm in the middle of laughing and then all
of a sudden, the little safety harness push it up
against my back and I'm like, oh, that's not good.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
Shout out to that safety harness.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Man.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
I know, dude, sold your bread and figuratively when those
things are closing on you, dude.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
It's solid.
Speaker 7 (15:57):
Man.
Speaker 6 (15:57):
Are you bum menaced that the six Flags from your
area is officially closing soon?
Speaker 3 (16:01):
I am because it used to be freaking awesome because
when I was a kid, it was owned by Paramount Pictures. Yeah,
and everything was like all movie themes, so top Gun, Yeah,
the roller coaster was top Gun. It had the music
playing while you were on the ride. They had Star
Trek up there. It ruled, and then eventually Paramunt got
(16:26):
out of it. Somebody else bought it, which I think
was six Flags, but then they ended up giving it
up to the city and the city ran it, and
the city's not dumping any money into it, so it
slowly went downhill. And now they're about to wrap it
up pretty soon because that property is worth so much money.
It's in the middle of Silicon Valley. So you guys
(16:47):
want some food news, Yeah, all right, food news. I
hop debuts to buy chocolate pancakes. Have you seen these yet?
There's two virgins. There's one that's kind of just like
rizzled with Dubai chocolate, and then there's one that's like
an overload of Dubai chocolate and it has gold flakes
on top of it. At I hop that one goes
(17:10):
for one hundred dollars. Are you all in or all out?
What that's all?
Speaker 1 (17:14):
That's a hard past, dude. Gold flakes on your pancakes?
Speaker 6 (17:18):
Man, I mean that, I hop it sounds good.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
I'm in.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
First off, you're telling me I have to go to
I hop Second, no, it's not happening, dude, I am
I hop for me is up there with Buffalo wild Wings.
I've never had good service there. WHOA wow, I swear.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
Is this somebody's demeanor?
Speaker 7 (17:37):
Then?
Speaker 1 (17:38):
No, you know what, it doesn't matter which one I've
been to. I've been to one here, I've been to
one that's been closer to like Anaheim. I've been to
two separate ones in Texas. Just never good service whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Look, I have nothing against I hoop, but if I
have to go, I hop versus Denny's.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
I'm going Denny's all the time.
Speaker 7 (17:54):
You know what I hop is spelled backwards. Anybody, Okay,
it's that's the thing off.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I will be wrong, I will be real where we're
at A right has been stuck inside of their kids too.
Speaker 6 (18:16):
Never buy Eric about her side.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
She's other kids to get out of the house.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Go see tork on something.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Jesus Well, I know, Tyler, you want to jump in,
but real quick, Eric, I hop Denny's.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
I grew up being mega. I hop to be honest,
but you definitely I've switched out. I was waitingto pancakes
growing up. I love the pancakes. Yeah, there's more stuff
to get omelets and stuff.
Speaker 5 (18:38):
Nowadays, Tyler, what were you gonna say Denny's before?
Speaker 1 (18:40):
I hop but to be perfectly honest, norms before Denny's,
for sure.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
I mean I'm spoiled now I have a Blackbird diner
like fire. It's always at this point.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Yeah, what's the other chain that I forget about that's
local around here? It's not Tommy's, is it Tom's? It's
a breakfast spot. There's one in Downey. It was a
Crosstreet from Lazy Dog. It wasn't it?
Speaker 8 (19:03):
Is it like a Denny's. It starts with a d
as well, it looks like Denny's, but not.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
I think it starts with the tea. We did something
with them like ten years ago. There's a bunch of
locations in southern California. It's like a breakfast diner spot.
What the heck is that place's name?
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Is it talk called pants? I'm looking it up.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Hold on Tony's.
Speaker 6 (19:24):
I'm trying to think. I'm like, okay, there's Millie's Breakfast
I see Downy.
Speaker 8 (19:28):
Yeah it's not called mister D's.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
No, Okay, I don't know where you're going.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
There's a lot of little burn It gets to be
a Denny's and they change it to mister.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
D's this is this is going to legit?
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Is it?
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Melly's No, it's not toast kitchen, is it?
Speaker 8 (19:43):
No, you said it starts with the tea.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
That does start with the tea.
Speaker 8 (19:48):
I'm not saying it didn't. I'm talking to myself.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
So he starts, no, I know memes. God, Well, I
guess I'm gonna give a Bob's Big Boy. No, Bob's No,
I know Bob's God.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
That's okay. If anyone remembers hit us up right thepod
at gmail dot com, God tell us where idiots.
Speaker 3 (20:09):
No, I know the second we hit soop record, I'm
gonna know where it is.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
If if you get to see the end of the podcast,
you're like, hey, I'm gonna skip the shout outs, stick
with us. There's probably the resolution of this at the end.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Here's some other food news. Joan Soda apparently had a
cannabis line and they sold it for three million dollars.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Oh nice, Joan Soda, exactly, what's that?
Speaker 3 (20:31):
You don't know? They've been around so, I don't know
how long. When I was a kid in the nineties skateboarding,
all the skaters loved Joan Soda. I don't know why.
I don't know why I was marketed to them. Didn't
they sell it at hot topic or something like that.
Speaker 6 (20:45):
Spencer's They had a hot topic at Spencer's for a while,
Rocket fizz out here would have it, certain like markets
would have it, like ninety nine cents Store had it
for a while, but also Gelson's.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Would have it.
Speaker 6 (20:55):
Oh really, it was like the high end that you
could also find on the cheaper kind of fun and stuff.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
It was supposed to be like the indie soda company.
Speaker 6 (21:03):
Yeah, yeah, because they would have like different They would
have photography in their logo, so every single soda you
would get, the logo would be different because it had
indie photographers doing stuff out in real life. So you'd
find skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX bikes, tons of stuff like that.
For a while, Menace and I forget what year was,
but they allowed you to create your own label, really
(21:24):
and they would ship you the soda with your own label.
So one of my friends decided to put a picture
of Jim Jones saying I believe in Jim Jones, and
the actually made it and sent it to.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Yeah, all right, Julianne, Who's Jim Jones? No clue, Tyler.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Who's Jim the guy that was like the head of
Jamestown Jonestown thank you Jones, the guy who made everyone
drink the cyanid kool Aid. That guy.
Speaker 4 (21:50):
Yeah, I was like, thank god he got to Tyler
and he knew it. Because I was gonna say, a
rapper isn't a Houston rapper.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Jim Jones is a rapper as well. Yeah, I don't
know if he was from Houston. Okay, how about this.
Chips a Hoy releases Stranger Things inspired strawberry filled flavored
cookies all in or all out, So it's gonna be
chocolate with strawberry in the middle. I don't know, like
the fuse stuff with Chips a Hoy hasn't been hidden
with me lately. Tyler cookies.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Uh yeah, all I heard is cookies. So I'm still looking
for this restaurant, not for life. I kind of forgot
Stranger Things was the thing. I know that's not what
we're asking, but dude, So here's.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
The deal because I was gonna follow it up, which
Stranger Things is coming out in three parts this year
November twenty off.
Speaker 4 (22:39):
This will be the final, taking like twenty five years
to tape this. It will be the three parts.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Don't worry. It's like it's the final season.
Speaker 6 (22:46):
It's like the Fastest the Furious Final movie. It just
keeps going.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
So this is how it's gonna work. The first part
is gonna be released November twenty sixth, then the next
part is gonna be released Christmas Day, and the final
part will be released New Year's Eve at five pm.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
If you think I'm spending my New Year's Eve watching
Stranger Things, you ares wrong.
Speaker 4 (23:07):
It'll disappear dyler.
Speaker 6 (23:10):
If you guys think I'm not gonna do something late,
I don't think watching that.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
If you don't think I'm gonna be outside with a
bunch of chicks, then you would be wrong.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
I'll need to call down.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Okay, I'm not watching it because my mom says it's demon.
Speaker 6 (23:25):
Michael Christian boy is not watching this.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Scrap nots in my house. I hate that you guys
do that. So flashback real quick. I was driving in
the car with a bunch of my friends one time
years ago, and my mom called me and I could
not help but laugh because I had her on speakerphone,
and all my friends started chanting like he's being terrible.
(23:49):
He's watching Harry Potter, he said, through the Wizardry, He's
watching Magic cl and I could not I had to
hang out because I could not stop laughing. I was like,
you guys are the biggest dumb asses I've ever been.
Speaker 6 (24:00):
Oh my god, Oh this just gave me a great idea.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Thanks Tyler.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Well how about this? Are you into this?
Speaker 7 (24:06):
Eric?
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Wednesday? The news series, It's gonna come out.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
I'm like, what's happening on Wednesday? I know, I mean
I was adjacent to that. My wife loved it. She
watches it, so I'll probably get familiar with it. I wasn't.
I'm not like all in on here.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
August sixth, it comes out. I'm excited for that. Wednesday
actually doing a lot of stuff with Wendy's nor Walk.
I think they have like a special pop up right
now walk.
Speaker 6 (24:30):
Yeah, special installation that you could actually walk in and
sit on the set of Adams Family House.
Speaker 3 (24:36):
What.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Yeah. It actually looks.
Speaker 6 (24:37):
Really really dope. It's like pretty much like their back
area has been converted into like a garage. It's all
purple on the inside. They got some of the throne
chairs in there, the candlelabras. It looks pretty dope. And
the signage is all changed to look like Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Oh yeah, and it's all purple and black and it's
pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
I'm still looking up the restaurant. I'm trying to figure
it out.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
I'm telling you it's Mimi's. I'm telling you.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
It's not Meme's. I know Memes.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Are you sure it's not one twelve Cafe?
Speaker 3 (25:05):
No, it's not one twelve Okay.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
That because that one's in Downy right by Lazy Dog
where you said. I will keep looking.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
It's like, uh, it's like almost like retro inside, like
almost like Jetson's type thing tom because it wouldn't be
called Tommy's, right, Mels, not Mels.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
It's now Tommy's would be the burger chain. It's not
gonna do that.
Speaker 6 (25:25):
Yeah, Mels would be that. That's the closer.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Tom's Tom's Junior in Downey Tom's Junior.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
That's what it is, Okay.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Okay, yeah, well tom Junior is good, really good. I've
gone through there too.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
I've got oh yeah, finally figured it out, did I.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
I'm looking at it. This is this is a retro spot. Yes,
just by the way this place is designed, you know,
the food is bomb. Have you ever been Oh yeah,
I never have.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
Looking to Seward done the breakfast thing there. I get
the avocado cheeseburgers from there. It's all good. It's so good. Yeah, Okay,
it's little like burger joint where they sell literally everything
all day every day.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Yeah. So it's called Tom the Long figure out. It's
called Tom's Junior's Burger. So it's very similar to uh,
basically a TAM's like spot. Also conveniently right next door
to black Bear downy.
Speaker 4 (26:09):
I was stuck on the breakfast aspect. I was looking
for like diner breakfast diners.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
I only knew it for breakfast. Moving on from food
news and uh streaming news. Did you hear that if
you want to buy your Nintendo Switch, accessories and anything
Nintendo Switch, you should be doing it this weekend because
the tariffs all prices are gonna be going up next week.
Oh man, yeah, everything involving Switch most likely the prices
(26:36):
will be increasing. So get it this weekend while you can.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
Guys, I need happiness. This is my little way of
getting happiness.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
This is where Brett draws the line.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
Man go to the White House and draw the line
and say you cross this one more time. I'm gonna
send Tyler in there. Yeah, and he's gonna eat all
your fight and he's gonna be like ulk oh no,
Tyler smashed Tyler.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Anybody have any plans this weekend?
Speaker 8 (27:02):
Just Saturday, that's it.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Yeah, that's it for me. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (27:05):
Should we expect a wild videos on your Instagram?
Speaker 3 (27:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (27:09):
I mean maybe I might be in Rancho or i
might be in Orange County. I'm not sure yet. And
if I'm in Orange County, I'll hit you up all right.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Hell yeah, it's for me. I will be working both days,
so no plans for me.
Speaker 5 (27:26):
Okay, what are you not gonna go see The Naked Gun? Honestly,
it's it's on my list to go see. If I
do see it, it's going to be early next week.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
It's crushing research into Pamela Anderson.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Yeah, it's crushing on reviews.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
I was really surprised. The reviews are really good, and
I'm like, Okay, I guess I'm gonna go see it.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
I thought they would be killing this thing in like reviews,
but apparently not.
Speaker 7 (27:49):
Isn't Pamela Anderson dating like her co star in that movie?
Speaker 3 (27:53):
Yeah? People can't figure out if it's legit or it's
just for promotion. But it seems pretty legit. Yeah, liams
liam Neeson. I just read a story too. Apparently Julian
liam Neeson has a legendary wiener in Hollywood, apparently one
of the biggest d's in Hollywood.
Speaker 7 (28:11):
I mean, I know he's an older gentleman, but I
would love to see it.
Speaker 8 (28:18):
He's houghty for an older man.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
Julian's gonna see it and be like it was naked. Gun.
I didn't see anything.
Speaker 6 (28:25):
I saw a naked lightsaber master.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
QUI gone, Jim No, sucks, Eric, you got anything going on?
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (28:32):
No, I got a birthday party in the valley, so
I gotta. I got back to back weekends with trips
to the valleys. Yeah, and then next weekend is actually
his daughter's birthday, So I'm going to the same place
two weekends in a row. Whoa, they shoehorned me out there. Guys, jeez,
you're packed, man, pumped, so excited.
Speaker 3 (28:49):
Why I'm surprised they're not just doing a combo birthday.
Speaker 4 (28:52):
Yeah, you know that would have been nice birthdays with
your kids.
Speaker 8 (28:56):
Sucks.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
Yeah, but that's just you. Julian.
Speaker 8 (28:59):
No, manas if you had a kid, I guarantee you.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
If I'm not doing that.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
I know, but if you did and your kid was
born in October, that kid would be celebrating in September
or November.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
Oh no, I know I know what Menace would do.
He would do It would be like for the kid,
but secretly for.
Speaker 3 (29:17):

(31:10):
I'm going to be in Austin, Texas for a few days.
That's going to be super fun. Can't wait for that.
It is going to be one hundred degrees and they
have a thing called humidity, so oh, I know it
very well. I'm going to be enjoying that.
Speaker 6 (31:23):
That kind of works out for me because next Friday,
I need to get the hell out of here because
I am going to the Orange County Fair next week.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
Oh no, double shout out, hell yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
I've seen some of their food already from other people
that have gone.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
I went, yes one last week last Friday. After the podcast.
Speaker 6 (31:43):
Did you have a food item that you saw or
tasted that was highlighted?
Speaker 3 (31:48):
Well, my go to there every time I go. I
love having shrimp in a pineapple bowl. Nice, that's my thing.
I had a banana split which was pretty good, you know,
visually appealing and appealing to the mouth.
Speaker 1 (32:00):
Very good.
Speaker 6 (32:02):
We do enjoy the deep fried pickle platter.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Oh yeah, those are good.
Speaker 7 (32:06):
What about the turkey legs and have them throw some
cold onions.
Speaker 6 (32:10):
And funnel cake that strawberry cake.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Oh yeah, Eric, you're a fair expert, right you.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Yeah, I go pretty regularly.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
I saw some pig races look pretty fun.
Speaker 7 (32:22):
Cue.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
Yeah, it was awesome, Brett. Do you have anything to
say before we leave?
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (32:26):
Yes, I would just like to say quick shout out
to mister Randy, who is not here today. Yes, but
I had the pleasure and joy of stopping and visiting
him near his work this past Tuesday, and we hung.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Out the Dilama Mall.
Speaker 6 (32:37):
It was wow, very enjoyable.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
It was nice.
Speaker 6 (32:40):
And all we did was look at anime toys and
sent Tyler all those books that he really yeah crazy.
I don't know if you guys saw you guys are
so he really loves those milk Mama Hen type books.
Speaker 7 (32:55):
Are really big boobs, like huge boobs.
Speaker 6 (33:00):
It's just messed up because Tyler only venmoss fifty bucks,
but he's asking for one hundred dollars worth of stuff.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
Yeah, it's weird.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:07):
And then you know how Tyler said he was working
on weekend. That means he's gonna be a kcon doing security.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
I'm ignoring all of it.
Speaker 4 (33:17):
Yeah, alright, reading the books.
Speaker 6 (33:23):
Tyler was telling me he has a really good grip
with his right hand today.
Speaker 1 (33:28):
Grip.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Okay, since we're on the subject, Tyler, do you haven't
seen to say before we leave?
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Yeah, so we mentioned Uh, we mentioned travel a little
bit earlier, and I actually need a little bit of help.
So I've only told this to Eric and Brett. Uh.
The week of Labor Day, I am going to be
going on a trip that is going to be five
baseball stadiums in five different cities in five days.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
What.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah, No, I have the flights. I have the flights
all booked. I have two of the four hotels booked already.
The help I need is if you know a good
place to stay in either Milwaukee or Pittsburgh, please hit
me up because I will be in both of those
cities for one night. And I'm good dude. So this
is the thing. I'm doing this solo, and really the
(34:17):
itinerary is kind of crazy. So I wanted, I really
wanted to go see Dodgers Reds in Cincinnati a couple
of days ago. But when I got hired, or when
Woody rehired me, that kind of threw everything for a
loop side to cancel that they are off the week
of Labor Days. So I'm like, okay, I'll just redo
the trip then. And I looked at the baseball schedule
(34:38):
and all five teams in the National League Central have
a game at home that week. So we are flying
from LA to Saint Louis. We are taking another plane
from Saint Louis to Chicago, taking a train from Chicago
to Milwaukee, taking a plane from Milwaukee to Pittsburgh, and
then taking another plane from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati, and then
(35:00):
flying back home.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Oh my god, all the hot spots.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yeah, this is this is going to be. This is
going to be a crazy spot. So I need I
need a hotel for or I need a hotel recommendation
for Milwaukee and for Pittsburgh. I've already easy.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
We have ann Chrissy. I've been I've been in her basement.
She got rooms up. No, no, we're smoking weed.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
I have Saint Louis booked already, which is pretty cool
that that hotel recommendation. The place is right next to
the stadium. It's like a half mile away from the
Saint Louis Arch so I'm gonna go check that out. Yeah.
And then the one station in.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
Saint Louis though a lot of people go there and
they just you know, walk around and look at the
scenery and then get a gun pulled on.
Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah. I will be back in my hotel room before
it gets dark outside. Do not worry about it.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
Oh no, it's during the day.
Speaker 7 (35:56):
You know.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
People keep your eyes open when you're there, that's all.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
And then Sat.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Louis is not good. Been to the ballpark, very nice
for ballpark though.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Good to know, good to know. And then I have
the hotel for Chicago. Book that's not too far from
the Navy Pier, so that'll be kind of great.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
So Chicago, you have two stadiums.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
Yeah, so I will only be doing one because only
the Cubs have a home game, So I will be
doing Wrigley Field.
Speaker 6 (36:20):
Oh okay, I would say that's more fun.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Yeah, Honestly, the two stadiums I'm excited for the most.
Excited for Wrigley and excited for P and C and
Pittsburgh because it's a gorgeous ballpark. If we're talking food wise,
I think the food I'm most excited for is in
Milwaukee because you know that stuff is laced in beer.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
So I do love where the Pittsburgh Stadium is positioned.
It's really nice.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
Yeah, right on the water. You could see the bridge
going into the city right there. It is a beautiful stadium.
So that one I'm really excited. That is also a
game where they are playing the Dodgers, and I looked
up on the schedule and if my timing is right,
looks like I'll be able to see the Pirates pitcher
Paul Sken's the phenom throw against the Dodgers.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
Linw very nice. All right, Julianne, do you have a
thing to say before we leave?
Speaker 8 (37:08):
Nope, I'm good to go. I said everything I needed
to say.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
All right, Well, our buddy weekend, our buddy Eric had
to dip out and get back to work. But thank
you so much for listening to this podcast. Brett, you
have anything covered that you want to cover right before
we go, Please rate and review this pod and we'll
see you next week.
Speaker 6 (37:26):
What's new with Meda
