Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's New, What's new with Medace, What's up everybody? And
welcome to another edition of What's New Pod. It is
menace and everybody's on vacation, so we don't want to
leave you without a pod, and we promise not to
make this a regular thing, but we're gonna do a
phone call pod because we all can't meet at the

(00:21):
same time to record together. I promise they're still fun.
They're still funny, and we'll get back to normal as
soon as possible. And don't forget if you want to
hang out with some of us in real life. We're
gonna be at the Boohaha this Saturday at oc Events Center.
It is a beer fest, unlimited beer tasting for three
hours straight, doumblition, derby bands, and so much more. Go

(00:41):
to the boohaha dot com to get all the information.
And at the end of the pod, I'm gonna give
you some details on some stuff that's kind of pending,
so it might not actually happen, but you should put
it on your calendar anyways, and pay attention to my
social media. Oh and one other thing. You have until Sunday,
October twenty sixth to sign up for a chance to
go to Dubai with Woody and myself. Sounds pretty cool.

(01:03):
Go to the Woody Show dot com. Let's get this
pod started. Let's call Julianne. Hey, what's up.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
I am on my way to go get something to eat.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
You're about to get something to eat?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yes, we're hungry. I with my family.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
So wait, I'm not about to hold on. Did you
like go to the beach or are you going to
the lake? Where are you going again?

Speaker 3 (01:25):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
No, no, I'm in data point at my mom's beach condo.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
So you're going to the beach.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, I've been here since Tuesday. Damn, but I've been
I've been working.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Oh so you can't talk right now? Do I got
to call Eric and then call you back.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Yeah, call Eric and call Randy and then call you back. God,
I know I text you earlier, like.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Tex you and call you after three o'clock.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
No, no, no, I text you separately, and I said,
all right, I'm ready now.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Yeah, but if you tell me to call you after
three o'clock, then and I make other plans. I don't,
you know, sit around?

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I know, I know, I know.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
All right, I'll call you back.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Maybe, Okay, bye.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Bye, yo, yo, what's up? How you doing, dud dude?
Julianne said call me after three, right, you saw in
the group text, And I called her after three and
she's like, oh, I texted you separately to say to
call me right now, and that was like at noon.
I'm like, girl, I got other plans.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
The world revolves around.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Yeah, and this is the reason. Because everybody's off doing
a bunch of things, we can't record the pod today
in our normal way, so we're going back to the
phone thing and hopefully, you know, people seem to like
the phone thing. They're okay with it. So that's cool.
So thank you for continuing to listen to the.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
One on one conversation with you that's not constantly you know,
interrupted by yeah, Tyler's story or yeah. So it's fine.
It's more personal this way.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yeah, that's cool. And Okay, So since you brought up Tyler,
I'm gonna bring him up real quick. Bro. We've had
these conversations offline, off the pod in like kind of
in text. There's something up with him being on the
Woody Show. Okay, so like he is fine in Oh,
what's up Boston? I hear you.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Yeah, he's like oh Dad did in the other room,
talked on the phone.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Let's follow.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
So he's like he's weird on the Woody Show. Okay,
So he's like perfectly fine, and he's funny and he's
charismatic on this podcast.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
So, but then when he gets on the Woody Show,
he like freezes up for some reason. I'm trying to
all the open him, put him on the show because
I think he's funny, I think he's uh, he's a character.
I think he relates to the audience. And then we
get him on and this guy goes blank on like
sports facts that I know he knows because we talked
about him on this show or the other day. When

(03:55):
we're talking about him hanging out with this chick, dude,
he just standing there and he's smiling and he's not
not saying anything.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
Yeah right.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
And I even called him out on it on the
air and they're like, dude, why are you being so
shy right now? Because I know this is not you.
The guy I know is is overconfident, blowhard. That's great
for radio, what's going on right now. So that's that's
what I'm dealing with, because again Brett and I vouch
for this guy hardcore, like you got him all wrong.

(04:23):
We really need him around here. He's great, he'll be
a great contribution to the show. And I don't know
what's going on with that guy. But how's the NFL going?
Is it exciting? I mean it seems to be exciting,
like you'd never know what's gonna happen, Like it's straight
up any given Sunday right now.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
I think, yeah, it's been.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
They've had some crazy, crazy weekend. I mean, the Colts
are like like the top two team in the league
right now. They look unstoppable. They beat up on the
Chargers last week, Like you guys are there for that one.
At that point of the year though, where it's like, oh,
we're so deep into the season, you know, like us
two that work coverage, you know, every day it's football.
You wake up, do football, football, football, and then you
look up it's like, damn, we're not even halfway yet.

(05:03):
And then and then you have Thanksgiving coming and then
those special games and Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, and it's
I mean, it's just a marathon, you know how it goes.
But it's fun, man, you know, you can't complain The
games are good to build it back this weekend. Hopefully
it beat the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Yeah, but it's gonna be the end of the year
before we know it. Like, I'm already talking to people
about stuff to do in November for Black Friday, maybe
lazy Dog on Black Friday, for a little football viewing party.
I don't know looking out for that.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
You'll be all up in the Bay for the Super Bowl,
no matter who's in it. And he goes, get out there,
get out to the game. See bet Bonnie. You know.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I'm trying, man, I'm trying. At least I don't have
a place to stay because my buddy lives a block
away from the stadium. But I was already talking to
some friends that are working the Super Bowl. They went
there for some meetings and they said, oh, we didn't
realize how far the stadium is from San Francisco, and
we got to do like our little company things in

(05:59):
the city. Yeah, and they go, it took us an
hour and a half to get there without much traffic.
And I go, dude, that's why I think they should
just have everything in San Jose. No one's listening to me.
San Jose is down the street from the stadium. It
has huge convention centers. It has everything you need. But
I get it people want to call it the San

(06:19):
Francisco super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
I guarantee that people are booking of a hotel somewhere
and realize, oh crap, we've got a two hour drive
to the venue stay at the super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (06:27):
Well, I'm going to heads up right now. If you
plan on going to the super Bowl, it's called San Jose, California,
or Mountview. Mound View is right there in Mountain View, California.
That's where they have LinkedIn. They have Google, so you
know there's a bunch of hotels right there. They have
the Four Seasons, like right down the street if you're
balling like that. So there's places that you can stay

(06:50):
super close to the stadium if you really want to.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Now, I mean we got too far ahead, not to director,
not too far ahead. I mean you got back to
back home till advantage. You got Bay this year, and
then so fine next year. So I mean it's the
minut run of the super Bowl here the next two year.

Speaker 6 (07:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
I support that because so far, at least they're building
out like a little city right next to the venue.
You got Snopolis, you got COSM, I know there's well
I can't really say it, but I know there's some
huge food venues going there pretty soon.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
I mean you might be able to say that one
there's signed up all in that corner.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Really Okay, they're putting a massive raising kings there.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Y I turn, I turn in right on the corner
of I think, what is that century and just before
Prairie every day the truck they're building, there's signs and everything.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah, there's like right at the end of the barking lot,
there's a target. There's endless food spots right there. I
talked to the mayor of Inglewood a couple of years
ago and he said, yeah, we're putting up six hotels
because also they're preparing not only for the Super Bowl,
but a year or two after that is the Olympics.
So they want to build this place out like crazy.

Speaker 5 (07:54):
And I say, this is.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
All over the place over there, and I see that
Cronky is invested it. He owns like prett much that
whole chunk. I mean, I I could see the hotel
going up from my death.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Dude, you know that I'm trying to move by the
end of the year and get an apartment should I
just get one there? It might be pretty valuable.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
You can walk five two minute walks to cause them
five minute walk to so far. I mean you got
the form across the sree, you got into a dome
across the street the other direction. Yeah, I mean you
get rid of your car at that point.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
That'd be the move the studio set up just.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
You know, remote into the Woody Show. I mean, you know,
we got to get that approved.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I think that would be the biggest hurdle. I could
probably give floor seats to everything before I could get remote.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
True.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
So anyways, well, the other huge thing in your life
is the world series we back Baby Dodgers. Do you
like to touch God promotion we're doing on the Woody
Show where we're giving away tickets to the the highest
seat you can get.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
I have been up in that area there used to
be I mean it still kind of is. That was
used to be the move I would get up. I
mean this is before the Dodgers or what the Dodgers
are now, you know, early call days. I'd get like
a row of ten tickets on the top row for
like twenty bucks. And when you are up in the
top tier, when you are up in the top deck.
You are touching God, you know, thankfully it'll be I

(09:11):
used to do day games and you just get roasted.
You're literally touching the sun at that point. Yeah, but
now you are up there. But I mean it's haf
some beers. You don't even have to sit in your
sea if you can want to. There's twenty of areas
outside of your seat. Just get in the get in
the park. That's all you need to do.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Yeah, you can say that you went to the World
Series exactly.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
I've been in a little bit of a trouble here though,
because Game one Friday night, I'm spending had Disneyland with
my family and model what. Yeah, so I'm gonna have
to miss part of it. I mean it's not most
of it either at Dazeyland or drive it home from
Zazeland at that part.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Ri ib ESPN Zone. I think they took it out
at the wrong time.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Dude, I used to do like go to like birthday
spot as like a preteen teenager was going to ESPN
Zone for lunch.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yeah, I mean, Lifeesporce is bigger than ever. I think
they took it out at the wrong time.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
They had like arcades upstairs. It was perfect.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Yeah, well we'll see what what's up? Oh, speaking of arcades,
I'm trying to be in Vegas next weekend and they
opened up F one arcade, so I get the nerd
out on that. I'm very excited. They're opening these F
one arcades like all over the country. I think this
is like the third one. The first one was in
Philadelphia and now they just opened the one in Vegas
and there's one one other place, I think in Denver.

(10:18):
But they're all over the place that are like they
have simulators and then all this uh, you know, motorsports
you can watch. It's pretty cool. I know it's dope.
All right, man, Well I'm going to cut this off
and let you go do your thing. Tell Austin I said,
big ups.

Speaker 4 (10:33):
All right man, all.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Right, your call has been forwarded to voice. Now damn
you Ray, the person you're trying to reach is not available.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Hello R Dell, what's going on?

Speaker 6 (10:48):
What's the business?

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Nothing?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
I know. I was excited. I got to see you
at the football game Sofi Stadium. We're in the suite,
and uh, I got reminded, like how much of a
gamer you are? You know, I mean I know you're
a busy man. You might not have as much time
because you know you're paying the bills these days. But
you got to nerd out a little bit because TCL
is putting out a lot of monitors now, and they're

(11:13):
at these gaming events and you got to talk shop.
So that was kind of cool, right.

Speaker 6 (11:18):
I think it's super sick of tcl's making monitors now.
I've always been a fan of the TVs they're like,
plus the fact that they're making monitors means that it's
going to be providing good quality at a really really
good price. Yeah, so I'm alwayscited to see what they
put out.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
And it's funny because I don't know if you had
any PTSD because that's all you try to do was
try to get sponsorships for gaming while you worked at iHeartRadio,
and you couldn't get anybody to listen to you. And
now everybody's all about no one want to listen dude.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
It drove me up a wall.

Speaker 6 (11:49):
Then they postuff about like come check out the iHeart
Media Gaming citter, come check out the iHeart Media roadblocks
City or something, and I was like, I'm like, guys,
I've been banging the drumper. Now, I we'll say it
was a big hidden it miss for me because I
try to make a mixer a thing it's aligned with Facebook.
There's no way this could ever fail, and then it

(12:10):
fricking failed and I should have known better than to
go against Twitch. But really, honestly, at the end of
the day, Twitch is twitches a platform that I think,
out of all the ones, even the most popular, that's
gonna withstand the longest, Like it's still.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Going to be standing.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
Like you have Kicks, you have Rumble now, and a
lot of these platforms, and a lot of those platforms
have I guess good streamers depending on what content you want,
but there's not longevity because a lot of these what's
really big right now is IRL streamers, which is in
real life streaming, so guys who like walk around towns
with their phone and stuff, and there's definitely an audience
for that. But eventually, you know, it's it's like, what's

(12:46):
the longevity there, Like you do you want to be
walking around cities for the rest of your life, Like
at some point you'll be like, I kindly want to
go back to games, and a lot of these major
gaming companies aren't really aligning themselves with people on kick
or Rumble.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
It usually ends up being twitched.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Well, Twitches also backed by a thing called Amazon, you know,
so they're gonna be okay for a minute. But and
they have a lot of growth, you know, because Kay Sannat,
who's huge on Twitch, a lot of people probably still
don't even know who he is. He just celebrated having
a million subs. Now a million in the social world. Honestly,

(13:24):
isn't that big, right, Because you have people that have
hundreds of millions of followers on Instagram, people with hundreds
of millions of followers on TikTok. In the grand scheme
of things, you know, you have like some random model
that has a million followers on Instagram. But here's the thing,
even though it's only a million people, Kay Sannat is
making dumb money because every subscriber is putting some type

(13:49):
of money into his page, so he is making.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
Bank and and like what ends up being the big things.
The difference to your point besides someone on Instagram and
Twitter versus someone like Twitch or a streamer, is that
a lot of times these guys have paid subs, and
so you can have.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Like I can do.

Speaker 6 (14:06):
I could have a million followers on Instagram sick awesome.
But if I'm on Twitch and I have a million
people who are paying me money like a sum a
month to watch me, I'm already making more money than
you or unless you're getting these massive ad deals. But
to your point, at this point, like major companies are
like one million, I don't know. We're looking for a
little bit more like we need we need significant growth.

(14:26):
It's not COVID anymore, where they're like you, guys, you
got a little bit interactions, let's take this money. Not
to mention with with streaming in particular Twitch, it's it's
the consistency, right, Like we always just to talk about
radio and getting people to listen how long the average
person listens on their drive into work or whatever. Twitch,
you know, even if it is just like two hundred,

(14:47):
five hundred one thousand people watching, these are people who
are watching consistently, so more than five minutes, more than
half an hour, sometimes.

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Up to hours.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
And so now you have it's like watching TV. It's like,
now I know for a fact that these people are
going to be watching this guy for X amount of time.
Let me pump in some advertising Also the number I
give out fifty two hundred is nothing. These these are
getting like thirty thousand, ten thousand, twenty thousand, and a
lot of them are younger people, and younger people like
to spend money, whether it's their money or their parents' money.

(15:15):
To add on to that kind of in the same
vein not really kind of, I guess. But I've been
kind of big on this because I was so dumb.
I haven't told anyone this.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
So this is a this is.

Speaker 6 (15:25):
A world exclusive what's new, pot Randy Real. I have
been you know those those live streams on TikTok where
you can like send prizes, like send little like emojis
and stuff happens. Brother, I've been deep in those as
of late. I've been doing like everything. I've been feeding fish.
I've been throwing fool balls, some knock over cups somewhere

(15:46):
like somewhere in China. There's just one that I love
that goes live like every seven o'clock our time, where
you can like feed chickens.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Let me just explain it a little bit more clearly
to peopole. So I've seen this before. There's like automation
for when you do a donation. Okay, so it's on
TikTok donation.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
There we go.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
Yes, I haven't seen these like ones that you feed
fish when you do a donation, or you you feed chickens.
That's pretty funny. That would get me to do it?
Is there like a motherload donation or something that it
just like drops a whole bunch of feet.

Speaker 6 (16:17):
Yet so like the the super cheap ones, because if
you break it down a point is like the coins,
like it's like two pennies, it's nothing, huh. But the
more acutive prizes, the bigger prizes, to be completely honest,
it's pretty It's like the pellets are a penny and
then the bigger prizes are like three four dollars, So
the price is significantly different, but the satisfaction that you

(16:38):
get from it is just so much for rewarding. So
like for the chicken, it'll be like pellets, and then
it'll go to like crickets, and then like cockroaches, and
then like centipedes just like some just bigger bugs. And
so usually what I'll do is like I'll start off
my night. So here's the strategy. Whenever I did the
chickens flare, do the chicken stream. So if the chicken stream,

(16:59):
typically I'll start off with a pellet. And the reason
why I start off with a pellet apeler two is
I want to see the quality of the video because
the thing is like I don't want to pay. I
don't want to pay big donation money. Yeah, and then
you're dropping the bug and then the camera drops out
because using some crappy phone somewhere, and then I don't
get to see the chicken eat the actual bug. So
I drop a few pellets I see. I'm like, all right,
the stream looks strong, it looks good. Then I'll start

(17:21):
going crazy. I'm like, here's a cockroach, here's a centipede,
here's like whatever whatever else, and the because I don't know,
it's just.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
I don't send me a link, dude, because I'll become addicts.

Speaker 6 (17:30):
Bro, I'm all in like the animal feeding one, the
like people shattering pots or pellets getting shot at targets.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
My mom does have a farm, dude, And then low key,
your mom kind of has a farm too. I think
we set up a little system here, you know, saying.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
Here's a couple of thoughts. Number one, the farm thing,
there's definitely something there. I think your mom could definitely
have like a feed of goat thing or something.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Number two.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
I could totally see a fun thing for you guys
on the show doing something like this with Tyler or
someone where it's like, depending on the donation, something Tyler
has to do something or something happens. I think it's hysterical.
You let them do it, and then you let them
keep them keep the money, because I'd imagine the money
they get is not that much I wants. You're bringing
in big listeners. Yeah, which is also kind of why
you know, which is also kind of why I donat.

(18:14):
I'm like, whatever, this is like fifty cents, Like here
you go, you know, let me let me see something
fall or whatever. Yeah, but all right, that could be
that could be the next endeavor.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yeah, I got to look into the automation. I actually
just met with TikTok on their live. Maybe they'll teach
me how to do that and that would be awesome.
I'll figure that thing out. And oh god, what was
I gonna tell you about? Oh? I did talk to
Eric a little bit about this. Dude, can you figure
out why Tyler is freezing up when I'm getting him
on the air on The Woody Show, and he's like
great on this podcast.

Speaker 6 (18:44):
He's two in his head. I don't know why he
gets so in his own head when it comes to
I think he's overthinking it too much, too like he's
trying to be clever, he's trying to be funny. It's like, bro,
you're already naturally just that just talk, you have the
have the communication, have that, because that was the biggest
thing for me. Like, I don't know if you remember this, dude,
I get like I get like speaking at PTSC for

(19:05):
remin conversation, I get PTS thinking about this millennial movie review.
I always have flashbacks to when we did Ghostbusters, which
is my favorite movie, and I absolutely bombed the reviews
and we pre and like we had you know, we
had done like practices or whatever. And to me, it
just like it was one of those things where it
was like I just kind of learned to sort of

(19:26):
be like yo, man, just sort of have fun with it,
roll with it, don't think about too much, just let
the words come out. And I think Tyler has to
do that because he's constantly in his own head trying
to be like, what's the funny thing, Like let me
try to be mister hilarious, Like, bro, just talk to
have a conversation.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
He's just naturally funny. He doesn't need to try to
be funny. I don't know. We're absolutely dude, because I
keep on looking for these little windows to get them
on the air. And it's just like, man, what is
happening right now? You know?

Speaker 6 (19:50):
It's like it's like your boy who's always super funny
and super and like you think he's a cool guy,
and then like you finally taking to need a girl
or something, and he's acting all weird different. It's like,
what do you do, dude? Like why are you acting
like that? I think the Tyler's thing though, I think
Spontanee is a spontani Being spontaneous might be the best
thing he has because if he knows he's gonna go

(20:11):
on air, I can already see him as being in
his on head like trying to gain plan what he's
gonna say, like and you can figure out what you
got to say, But if you think about too much
then doesn't come off as authentic. You know, you want
him to sort of think in the moment. Don't give
him too much time to think. Maybe moving forward. If
there needs to be a suggestion, you wood, he whoever
knows he's going to be on the air, just don't

(20:32):
tell him, just don't tell him. And then it's like, yo, yo,
we need you in the studio for this, you know,
because like I think him not being able to think,
it's as long as you don't let him think.

Speaker 3 (20:43):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
I think that's a good game plan. And I just
wanted through out there. I'm not perfect at all, and
I have the same issues that Tyler does. But and
I'm just trying to get my boy on the air
because I think he's funny. But we'll frig it out,
we'll figure out the system.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
I agree.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
I don't want to keep you on here too long.
I got to talk it to you some other folks
from the pod. But it's nice to check in with you.
As always.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
I'll talk to your brother. Hello.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Do I give you enough time? Are you still like
hogging out?

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Like?

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Oh no, no, no, no, I'm here, I'm here, I
got my glass of wine. We're waiting for our table.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
You're waiting for your table still? Oh my god, I
would have left or no, no.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
No, no, you called me when we're leaving the house.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Oh, I thought you just got to the restaurant.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
No, no, no, no, we just not here right now, and
so we have to wait twenty minutes before the area
we want to sit in is open. So I was like, well,
let's go get some drinks. I want to and bought
us some wine, so that's what we're sipping on right now.
I went to the bar with the baby on my hip.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
So I have this thing called a push push It's
like something that you wrap around your waist and the
baby strips on it. I walked over to the bar
and order our wine, and I felt weird because I
felt like everyone was staring at me, say the baby
on my head.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
They were They're like, who's this whyo walking in with
a baby?

Speaker 2 (22:04):
I left that country song? I'm a red nick that's me. Wow,
But it's okay. I rocked it and I gave think
I bought off of twenty nine because I had a
baby with me. So I felt bad. That felt bad,
right bad? Yeah, yeah, I got a I have a
baby on my hip.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Yeah. So you've been hanging out at a beach house
for the past couple of days and yeah, it's fun.
What else have you been doing other than drinking with babies, you.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Know, working, recovering from my long weekend I had with
my best friend and uh yeah, I mean we had
a killer weekend going to see matt Rice and hang
me out with you guys. So I was so tired
come Monday. And then Tilici left for science camp on Tuesday,
so she's been gone all week.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
And so that's.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Why you went to the beach, because I needed to
recover up here in kid from Wine.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
I'm so glad you brought the science camp thing because
it's so hilarious because I was watching your Instagram stories
right and it's just like you partying up in the
Sofi sweet and you know, having beers, having a good time.
And then the next story was you're just looking like
a little wholesome mom with her kids sending them off

(23:21):
the camp. I'm like this bitch right here. It's probably
hung over as.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
F I bought this safe thing.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
You know, I'm just this wholesome I'm knitted her sweater.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
But you know what, you gotta juggle both otherwise why live.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
You gotta do it right. If you don't, you'll just
lose yourself.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
Nice wholesome lady.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
Yeah I am. I am.

Speaker 2 (23:50):
When I have to mom my mom hard, and then
when I have to party, you have to party, I
party hard.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Gohrd. So what's for dinner? I'm starving?

Speaker 3 (23:59):
You know.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
We're at some place in Dana Point called Wind and Sea.
Have you been here?

Speaker 3 (24:06):
No?

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Wind and Sea? Yeah, it's really good. They have oysters
and Bomby Bluddy. Oh you them Bloody Mary's. And by
the way, I made some Bloody Mary's yesterday for me,
my stepdad and my mom while I was working, and
they were amazing.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
I know.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Now I have to drink these ones over here, and
we're not going to be as good because yours truly
didn't make it. That's it's beauty of what you're going
to be for the Boujaha back yet.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
Or no, no, I don't know. I haven't had a
chance to even go to the store. It's been so
busy trying to catch up on a lot of work.
I've been recording a lot of stuff that we're going
to share on the Woody Show and I just have
to like edit that up. And the birthday month is
huge this year, so I've been like doing stuff every
single day. Work has been planning a lot of stuff

(24:55):
for November, in December, and then even like next year,
all the way to February. So I don't think it's
going to stop. I always look for like some downtime,
but I don't think there's gonna be any downtime.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
You never have downtime. I don't even think you know
what that is. That's like saying I know what downtime is.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
You don't have downtime.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
No, I don't.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Know how you do it. Also, I think we talked
about this on the pod, but I just want to
bring it up more time because I was looking over
at you and talking about you in the suite, all
good stuff, but I was talking to another mother and
we're just talking about like prices in general of just
things food and things like that. And she has one kid.

(25:35):
I was like that hit over there has like four kids.
You know, I don't know how she keeps it together
at all.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
I don't. I just put it on a big smile
and just walk around.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah, I just like dude, put Kevin on OnlyFans. You
know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
You know I'm about to Yeah, I literally am about
to because he needs to step it up. Sorry, hold
on really quick minutes on, hold on, No, sorry, I
put it in the hyechair.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Oh no, it's fine.

Speaker 3 (26:08):
We're just not wanting to go in.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Yeah, we're just talking about Kevin's business plan.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Well, I think everyone would do amazing at that, because
he he has a good sport, if you know what
I mean.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Yeah, you know, I to talk about it enough. Let's
make your money off of it. I can pick him out.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
He always gets so embrassed. Why do you always have
to talk about.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Me like that?

Speaker 2 (26:27):
As anything ever happens to me and you become single
for any reason, at least I always said good things
about you, right.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yeah, yeah, it's some marketing out there already, you know.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Yes, yeah, I'm like, I'm a proud wife. What can
I say?

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Geez? As well? You got to get ready for dinner.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
I let's see later minute, all right, bye? Bye?

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Man?

Speaker 1 (26:56):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (26:58):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (26:59):
All right? What's wrong? You heard us talking about you
on the pod?

Speaker 6 (27:02):
No?

Speaker 3 (27:03):
I did. Oh that's today, isn't it. Yeah? I forgot
about that.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
No.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
I literally just walked in the door for work.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
He just walked in the door for work right now.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
Did. I worked both jobs today. I left what is
this morning, went to FanDuel right after, sat in traffic
for an hour and a half, and just got back.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
I thought you were leaving work at the time. That's
why you wanted me to call you.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
No, no, no, no, I left work at about like
six thirty, so that's why I said anytime after six thirty.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Wait what hold on, So you're just getting to your
other job right now?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
No, no, no, I just got home from both jobs.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Okay, it just sounded like you just said you got
to work.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Oh no, no, I got back from work. Yeah. Yeah, anyway,
you know, miscommunication. It happened you, saund after all.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Terrible dude.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
I am so tired right now. You have no idea.
I've been up saying do you ever take about one
thirty in the morning? What time is right now? For
those people listening, it's about seven thirty. So do the
math on how many hours that is. It's a lot. Yeah,
and I did. I was not able to take a
car nap either.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
So no carnap nothing.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
Damn.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
It'd be like that, man, it'd be like that.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
We were talking about you on the pod. You want
to know what we're talking about or do you want
to be surprised?

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Oh god, all right, tell me.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
All right, I just want to know. And I get
it because when you're on the Woody Show, you're in
the lions Den. You know, it's a different atmosphere than
being on this podcast and where I feel like your
personality really shines. But I feel like every time I
try to get you in the studio to communicate, like

(28:45):
you clam up, you get shy, you still try to
get into the groove because actually, you know what, I
want to hear your theory because I don't want to
say what Eric and Randy said because you might just
echo what they say. Tell me what you I'm.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
Gonna be honest with you. I have noticed that I've
gone back and like, because one thing I like to
do is I like to go back and listen to
myself to figure out like how I can be better.
And I have noticed that that like, okay, like I'm
a little I'm a little stiff. I think my thing
is is that like I'm not really trying to step
on like anybody's toes per se and like I'm not

(29:21):
trying to be like like I'm not trying to be
like the main voice in a company, even if I'm
the one being talking talk to, Like, I know where
my place on the show is. So like I'm not
trying to like take over a fount ye.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
But we're talking to you and you're sitting there and smiling.
You're not saying anything.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
Trust me, I'm trying to figure out the balance. I
just don't want to be like that guy that gets
like too much of the mic and it just goes
to his heide.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
You know, Yeah, no, I get it. Yeah, it has
to be a balance. It can't be extra. But like
we were very complimentary to you on this pod. You know,
we're giving a little bit crap but saying that, like
your personality is built for radio, and it's just like
they think Eric and Randy that you just like overthink

(30:04):
it when you get in that room, you know.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
What, for some stuff maybe, but in general, I wouldn't
say I overthink it. I think I like, I'm just
trying to figure out where my place.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Is, because yeah, man, I want you in there. Last
time we had you in the studio, you're trying to
get all the studio like every five seconds, and we
kind of we had to keep on flagging you down
to stay in the.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Room well because okay, so that part specifically what He's like,
all right, you're taking up Morgan's airtimes, get out of here,
and like I laughed, I was like okay, cool, like
I'm about And then the second I opened the door,
I think it was Greg patted me on the shoulder.
He's like, wait, no, come back, and I was like, oh,
we're still, we're still talking.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
So I sund like, leave the room, just step to
the side so Morgan can speak into the mic a
little bit.

Speaker 3 (30:46):
Okay, my bad, my bad. So okay. So this is
also a little bit of a behind the same uh
scenes thing is that Brett has been gone from the
show this week because he's on vacation. So I've been
helping Menji out on the side with a bunch of
other stuff. So my thinking was is like, okay, like
you're done, get out of here. I'm all right, cool,

(31:07):
I got to go back and like see what like
Menji needs anyway. So like that's my thinking is like
I think that that's that's not part of my thinking.
Maybe I'm just thinking like I'm putting my job first
instead of like oh on air, I know, I know,
he's gonna like, I know, he's gonna want to smack me,
but like I mean, in all fairness, and you know

(31:29):
this because I told this to you. On the side,
I'm a goofball. I know, I say like a lot
of things that I probably way too over the top,
But when it does come down to it, I take
my job really seriously and I try to make sure
that if everyone else is good, I'm good because I
know that if everyone else is good, I'm gonna have
a good day. That's that's all I care about. So
we figured out a way to make it work. I

(31:50):
know Eric is don't bust my balls over that, but
you know.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
Whatever, Well, I mean, you got to rest up. We're
going to the Boojaha this weekend. You know you're bruskie,
so that'd be fair.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
We might have more than a couple, so we'll see
what we're at.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
I feel you, my friend. I mean, we got to
hang out at the game. That was cool.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
That was pretty fun. Yeah, And like, dude, that was
so cool being in a suite. So I've been to
Sofi before, I've sat in the nosebleeds of SELFI like
I've even just chilled in the parking lot. I had
never been in a suite at so far, so that
was a really cool first time experienced. Yeah, that's that's
one of the places that I had never been in
a suite. It may have been possible that you guys

(32:31):
did a suite at SOFI and I was in Texas.
Still that that could be very possible.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Yeah, shout out to TCL dude, they hooked it up.
I mean, we definitely took advantage of the food. I
feel like I was going to explode after.

Speaker 3 (32:43):
They team met you with a birthday cake. That's like
happy Birthday, Medacon. That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
Yeah, So there's a point in time in September. It
was pretty crazy because remember I pulled you off to
the side. I'm like, hey, I was trying to look
at some ballparks. We could visit. The ballpark that I
mentioned was for the Blue Jays, because if people don't know,
there is hotel suites inside the stadium for the baseball team.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Yeah, inside Rogers Center.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Yeah, yeah, google them. They're awesome. How much do you
think those are going for the World Series?

Speaker 3 (33:13):
Stupidde for the World Series. That has to be I
mean it kind of depends, like you could have been
really lucky and just like booking an advance, like way
in advance, just in case.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
But oh okay, I'll tell you when I was looking
at it in September, for us to go just for
like a regular game for two days, it was gonna
be thirteen hundred bucks.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
That's actually not that bad, okay. So that kind of
goes in line what I was thinking. I was thinking
for the World Series for two days, gotta be at
least fifty five six thousand.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Wall you're saying fifty five hundred, six thousand.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Yeah, yeah, like fifty five hundred, five five hundred.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Way more than that. You're smoking crack, dude, Like at
Dodger Stadium for crabby seats, it's twenty five hundred dollars.
We're talking about a hotel room inside the state.

Speaker 3 (34:00):
I mean that is true. Yeah, but you're like way
far in the outfield, like I did take that in
because it's not like you're behind home.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Plait.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Goodness, think about that.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Let me google Blue Jay. Let's see. Let's see if
they're for sale. I'm telling you, they got to be
like twenty five grand or something like that.

Speaker 3 (34:18):
So according to the aioverview on Google it says, and
I quote. During the World Series, hotel rooms with a
view of Rogers Center have been listed at prices starting
from four thousand for a field view, with one reportedly
priced at over eight grand.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Dude, and I'm telling you it's way more than that.
That's like at cost. If you know somebody, there's this
way true.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
And you know what, I'm thinking, here's something too, So
we'll say we'll go with six grand, which puts me
right in the middle of like those two numbers. That's
what I'm thinking for game one. Okay, if this thing
goes all the way to seven, Game seven will be
in Toronto. At that point, that room is a minimum

(35:06):
of like twelve thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
I think when that dude, f one tickets are twenty
two thousand dollars, like.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
The that's actually insane. Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
What like tickets at Dodger Stadium, like dugout seats are
eighteen twenty two thousand dollars as well.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
Yeah, but that makes sense. Those are dugout seats. You're
like twenty feet from the field in this home that room, Like,
don't get me wrong, you're technically in the stadium and
you have a great view, but you're like four hundred
feet from home plate, like you know you can't. Yeah,
you're pretty far.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
These things are super sold out, probably by the way too.
There's no come on, Doug.

Speaker 3 (35:41):
I guarantee you that if normal people didn't buy them,
Drake probably bought all of them.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Feel me all right till you dog, I'm gonna let
you go to bed. Don't overthink it when you're in
the studio with us. Just be yourself and all right,
my friend, and I'll see you at the Bojaha.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Yeah, what's up. You're the last one of the evening
to record.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
And waiting all day you have and.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
I'm tired and I want to go to bed. But
you will be happy to know that I talked to
you a little bit earlier and I said, hey, I
gotta leave, and I went to Costco.

Speaker 6 (36:22):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
It was glorious. For one, they had a bunch of
F one stuff there. I did not see F one
remote control car that I've been seeing online at other costcos.
But they have like I don't know, uh, what is
it like a track?

Speaker 5 (36:37):
And then they they still the old racetrack with the
control Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:42):
I mean that's cool, but I want to remote control car.
I did pull the trigger though on that ghost that
new ghost box that they have Ghost Energy drink. They
finally have good flavors.

Speaker 5 (36:52):
Well, you know, I like the other variety pack. I
know you're not the biggest fan of that one I am,
but this one, this is a good pack. And and
you know when I see you next, I have to
pick it up. But in my area they do have
the Ghost of Delicious flavors.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Dude, I have not seen those anywhere. So I hit
up our friends at Ghosts because they listened to the
Woody Show and I said, hey, I've been hearing about
these new flavors. I can't find them anywhere. So they
said they're going to mail a couple over oh sick.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Well, now I don't have to pick them up.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
I mean, please do, because who knows when they gets
to the office. But I would like to try it.
But you're on vacation right now. How's the vacation going
so far?

Speaker 5 (37:28):
Well, you know that they always say no good deed
goes unpunished, and that is the truth for this I
was hoping to avoid. Most people will understand that if
you go a long time without a vacation, you're going
to burn out. Are you get tired? You're going to
stretch yourself very thin, you know. And since my last vacation,

(37:48):
let's think about this, Since my last vacation, actual vacation,
we went through all the fires in Los Angeles, uh huh,
all the power outages, the storms. I went through a move,
We went through the Woody Show being on a cruise.
We went through all the Winshow takeover at Disney Caelifornia
Venture Theme Park. Went through all this stuff. Was my
first vacation and the first damn day I get sick.

(38:09):
Oh no, yeah, so I mean on the downside, I
got sick, which you might hear a little bit of
in my voice.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
I'm trying to power through it.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
I got some kind of thingle with my throat. I
won't get to the disgusting details, but it's caused me
to actually not do anything, which is great.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
Yeah, that's exactly what I want. Yeah, so you should
be doing. And I'll tell you this. You sound way
better than Tyler, who I just sawd to because he
sounds awful, but he just got Tyler, well he just
got back from his second job, so he went all
day no downtime at all.

Speaker 5 (38:45):
Who, mister, you know, I will say, by week without Tyler,
let's talk about that. I haven't had to see Tyler
in a week. I worked from home Monday. I've been
off and without seeing Tyler for a week. My blood
pressure has gone down. I don't know if that's I
don't know if it's other factors, but I feel pretty good.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
That's good. That's good. So hopefully you get better and
enjoy a little bit of a vacation and do some
costco runs.

Speaker 5 (39:13):
Yeah, for sure, man. You know, I've been trying to
fit in like little bits and pieces here and there
every day. So we've you know, much like you. You're
on the hunt for that remote control Formula one right
right now. If you're a toy collector, they're calling it
Ross Con. Okay, okay, So Walmart has their own thing.
Target has Target Con. You'll see it on the end
caps with like Funko Pops and different action figure from

(39:35):
Neka Rock. Con happens when it's about to be Christmas
season at Ross and that's when all the toys that
don't sell it Target and Walmart gets shipped over to
Ross for dirt ass cheap. Oh hell, yeah, so everybody
on social media is posting all the stuff that shows
up to their ross. Does this sound familiar to your situation?
I'm seeing Disney Star Wars replica lightsabers for twenty five dollars.

(40:00):
I'm seeing Mandalorian helmets for twenty five dollars. I'm seeing
action figures for five bucks. All this stuff for ten
to fifteen bucks. Guess what, I go to.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
My rosses, where the hell is it?

Speaker 5 (40:13):
I don't see any of the good stuff. We I mean,
I think decent stuff, but nothing kids. So much like you,
I got to somo right now, I'm trying to find
the cool fish and not finding anything.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
Yeah, you always got to find those random rosses that
people don't buy anything from, because I would go to
ross in San Francisco, and you know it's super busy, right,
But if you go to those random rosses and the burbs,
not a lot of people live there, dude, you would
find some really good stuff.

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Oh yeah, So there's I'm not saying which one, obviously,
but there's a couple that we used to live in
a proximity to when we lived up in Los Angeles.
So I mentioned to my wife, I'm like Jessa, I
think I have to make a detour on the way
home next week.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
I mean, I hope this is not one of them,
but I'm gonna ask shout it out. Is that one
ross that's by Panda Express Test Kitchen and Pasadena. I
went in that one and they had some pretty good
stuff in it.

Speaker 5 (41:09):
That is one of the locations. Oh yeah, Okay, it's okay.
People hit up that one. It's fine, but that is
one of the ones that I would stop.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
By, dude, firement and Okay, so what I need from
you is if you see any F one hot wheels
out there, because I was at the race in Austin,
Texas and they had a hot wheel setup. But dude,
the line was crazy and I didn't want to miss
the race, so I like, I got close to the

(41:37):
booth so I can see what they had and a
lot of stuff was sold out. Already trying to buy
some stuff, which is so difficult.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
You caught me right at the moment I'm about to
go into a target, and I've been keeping an eye
out for you. So if I find them, I got you.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
You know, I'll take anything you.

Speaker 5 (41:52):
Have a display setup yet, because okay, we've gotten use
some of the die cats, right, and you have the legos?

Speaker 3 (41:58):
How are you going to display these?

Speaker 1 (42:00):
I brought this up already on the pod. I kind
of want to move by the end of the year. Okay,
wherever I moved to, I think that I'm gonna like
have an area set up where I can enjoy watching
sports and watching F one and just kind of like
a like an entertainment room. You know, right now, I
don't have an entertainment room. Everything's kind of just all

(42:22):
over the place, So that might be the spot to
do it. I don't know, we'll find.

Speaker 5 (42:27):
Okay, follow up question, are you gonna do your own
kind of displays shelving with plastic containers individually or are
you going to get a custom inlet built into the place.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
They make these custom displays for this stuff that looks
super legit. I don't know if you've seen it. I mean,
Google f one Lego displays for sale. They have stuff
with like led They have things that show off different
racetracks within artwork. It looks really really cool. So yeah,
there's stuff for out there that's built for that for

(43:02):
the display, So I probably would purchase that stuff.

Speaker 5 (43:05):
If you can find cool stuff that's all. Yeah, I
look forward to see what you do with it when
you move.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
We'll find out. That is the goal. I don't know,
you know me, I'm always on the move and I
live between two different areas. I don't feel like I
have a censor area for that kind of stuff. And
I think that's going to be the goal in twenty
twenty six.

Speaker 5 (43:23):
And once you have like a centerent area where you
can have that, whether you see it all the time
or on the weekends or whatever way it works out.
Because you know, we most people don't realize that we
spend most of our time at work and traveling and
commuting and all these things, so like, well we can
actually get home and see our stuff and actually be
in the presence of our you know, our loved ones, wive, pets, everything,

(43:46):
and are definitely just sit there and go, damn, this
is definitely cool, man. Yeah, it's just cool to soak.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
In all your passions in one place. Pretty cool.

Speaker 5 (43:55):
Oh yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (43:57):
Well, Brett, I really got to go to bed. I'm
a little right now, but I might be that. Yeah,
but I'm happy I got a chance to talk to
you and we're doing a lot of cool stuff at
the Woody Show that we haven't even shared yet in

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
