Speaker 1 (00:00):
The women that go, oh my god, I consident to say,
what if I don't like him, why are you there? Then?
Why are you there? Just and if you don't like him,
eat the food and get a good buzz and then
like I'm like, oh, talk to my pastor. I'm so sweet.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Hello, and welcome to another episode of Where's Your Head At?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
We have the.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Beautiful pocket Rocket, feisty Jamie.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
From mass in the studeo.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Hello, Hello, I feel like I should be yelling at
you now after that.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Intro, why what's wrong with it?
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Pocket Rocket and Viery? Should I just cast you out
or something? Just to start it off.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
Welcome to Where's your Head Out? It's great to have you.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Here, though, it's great to be here.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yeah, we're excited to have you on the show. We've
wanted to do this for a while.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
We have. Actually I watched your season in Maths and he.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Doesn't watch anything. That was like, please watch it. It's
so good.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
It was it. It was a good season.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Rhyme.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
We're my personal favorite.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
Okay, I don't remember people's names.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Jackie, you know Jackie, Whacky Jackie.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
He showed me a photo of her.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
He's obviously not.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Watched it well, and I.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Well, no, I used to watch it used to be
on and like I'd watch it hungover and like, you know,
watch it in the background. So I think I like
binge wash it all on Sunday that week. So yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Mean it would have been a good show to binge watch.
But yeah it was wild.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Wild.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Was Jackie like that in real life?
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yes, but like, look, I think every episode they only
showing like the best bit, so there's a lot of
Jackie where she's absolutely delightful. Like I got along quite
well with Jackie, but Jackie and Ryan were just so chaotic.
So when you're putting all their chaos in like crammed
into twenty minutes, it was just cinematic. It was hectic.
(01:46):
I loved her. I freaking loved her. My favorite scene
ever is Jackie at Beth and TJ's wedding when she's
crying and it's like, Nope, we're not doing this, and
she's like end scene pretty much because she just sucks
the tears back up and she goes out to dances.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I know that was kind of a little bit scary though,
watching that because I was like, she just was like
so hysterical and then she just went like completely normal,
and I was like, whoa.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
She's really changed.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
It was quickly. It was my favorite thing, and I
was like, great, excellent. Whoever casted Jackie and Ryan and
put them together like rubbing their hands like they're not
getting fired?
Speaker 4 (02:19):
Yeah, well, how about the person they casted you with?
It was Shaved Dave, the Big Boy. Yeah, I met him,
I've actually met him. It was nice enough. Sure you
know you guys aren't still in chats with him?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
No?
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Oh lord, No, a lot of drama there.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah, we wear no contact, protect the peace.
Speaker 4 (02:41):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
The problem is, I think I learned very quickly, like
obviously you guys would know on reality TV that people
aren't being their real selves and putting on a front. Yeah,
so nicest means nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
So do you think that as soon as the cameras
like went out, he was totally different.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
He wasn't actually to me like we were very peaceful, however,
it was just everything was a facade. Yeah, because it
was just like that's just obviously he coasted the whole
way kind of through most of it, and he didn't
actually like me, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
So that's so disappointing because you guys at the start
were one of the strongest couples, and like to be
in that mindset like this, like you're married as well,
Like it's not just like, oh we were friend girlfriend,
you like go into this mentality that are married and
then to think, like, obviously we saw how vulnerable you
were during those moments.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Like that would have been.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
So hard, especially for that to play out on TV
and then to have to relive it because through that
the reliving is.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
The worst part. It was so torturous because like when
the fuck does anyone ever record you having like a
breakup and you have to watch it and then the
world watches it too, and they're like, what a dickhead?
Yeah no, that wasn't fun. I feel like I definitely
learned a lot though, so I'm grateful for that. But
I remember, like, when it's happening, it's already hard enough
(04:03):
because you're like it feels like your whole world, Like
when you're filming Rally TV and you're away from everything,
it's like that's your whole world. So it literally felt
like my world was crumbling. And then I'm thinking, what
is everyone else going to say about this when they
see it? Yeah, so it was just like it was
a really weird experience because like I kind of like
when you when a guy fucks you over in real life,
(04:23):
you can say whatever you want. Oh, like yeah he's
I don't know, he can braid his pubic hair, like
it was just an eke, Like I don't know, like
he kisses his sister.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
You can say whatever you want.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
It's so good. I'm just like, you can say whatever
you want. But like, yeah, unfortunately, like people saw exactly
what happened. I wish I could say, yeah, I fucked
him over and left, but I didn't. I got played.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
But we've all been there, so it's like relatable.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
You know, yes, did you like him?
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yes? I did. I did very much. I mean it
was very heightened. I think, of course. I think if
we did take it properly to the real world and
gave it a fair go, I don't think it would
have lasted because we are actually very different. But in
that environment it worked very well.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Yeah. Okay, are you guys completely cut off? No, you
have your phone though we do.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Have our phone, so we do get to enjoy life
a little bit more than other reality TV shows, Like
we get to go to Woolworth's and shop. Yeah, right,
go to bottomless runch on weekends. That was my favorite.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
So you get like dark days where you can go
out with the crew, like not the crew, so the
other people.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
That is against a contract, but we definitely did it.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Oh okay.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
I was scared though, because I was a contract obiding citizen.
But some days you just want to get lit with
your friends. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Did woud you ever catch up with anyone who wasn't
on the show?
Speaker 1 (05:47):
I didn't really know too many people in Sydney. I think,
like I spoke in marketing and I had a client
in Sydney that I used to work with, and so
I caught up with her. And David caught up with
a few people, but like we'll mainly with each other.
Like Dave and I spent like all the like all
our time together. It was like a proper relationship.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Wow, yeah, that would have cut deve.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
I just like think of myself in your position, and
I'm like, I just can't even imagine like the turnaround because.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
It was so quick.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
We have to talk about when it aired and Dave
had done the couple swap and there was that scene
with Elliott's ex partner.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
I can't even remember that was this the first one
or the second one, because didn't he walk out on
the one.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
And yeah, this is his second wife and then we
did partner swap.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Yeah, so when he did the partner swap and then
you saw them in bed together, like, what's running through
your head? Because I'm assuming that's the first time you
even saw that footage and you're like, it looks dodgy.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Yeah, I think i'd seen it. I'm pretty sure when
the episode had aired, because they they showed us seeing
aut reunion, but I'm pretty sure that they didn't show
us that they changed the clips that they show a
lot of it. People like, why didn't you say anything?
I'm like, I think if I saw that, like Veronica
and Dave all like chummy chummy, like I would have
just start on the couch going like nice one bee, No, yeah,
(07:09):
all hell would have broken loose. So it was one
of those things where I told Veronica stay in the bed,
no issues, Like Dave's a six or six man, He's
not going to sleep on the couch, like, and the
beds are huge, Like that's fine, I trust him. It
was just the level of inappropriateness where like she was
clearly on a mission to prove Elliott wasn't great. So
(07:30):
she was doing the most to build up for my husband,
and my husband really liked.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Validation, getting his ego stroke.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah. I mean he literally says on one of the episodes, like, oh,
it's been so good getting my tires pumped. Ie thinking
like I'm just pumping those tires all the bloody time,
and I'm like, okay, just something shining and you came in.
I don't think anything happened, though everyone asked me that question.
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
I think so.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
I don't think so. He just can't be bothered. I
really can't be bothered. I don't think so. I think
he just likes the compliments and he calls it a day.
My husband just wanted to be in the spa. That
was his happy place. If he could have sex with
the spa, he would have had sex with the Spa.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Did you talk to Veronica about this?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
No?
Speaker 1 (08:15):
At that point, like I was, it was so done. Honestly,
she could have given him the best thirty seconds of
her life. Like, I just didn't care at that point,
like it was so done. By the time this all
came to light like I just didn't care. Yeah, yeah,
I just I just don't feel it, like my intuition
has always most of the casts I think would agree,
like no one else really thinks that something happened. It
(08:35):
just was inappropriate.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
Then afterwards, did you actually hook up with Elliott and
start sating him? Was that real?
Speaker 1 (08:42):
Ah? Yes? Or was I having sexual relations with him
during the Nudi rudy? Yes? I was?
Speaker 4 (08:47):
And did you date or was that? Because I obviously
saw all that and I didn't realize it real or
what it was.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Okay, So yeah. The thing is it became a very
public thing super quick, which was not our intention. Like
a lot of people obviously want to have like pr
relationships in the industry. We were just booking a trip
to Gold Coast because I was doing an appearance there,
and so was he. I came earlier, but apparently everyone
in Gold Coast knows these things because they popped us.
(09:15):
They follow us to his house, which was so creepy.
We went to Movie World just like having a good
day everywhere, and I had daily malth call me like
why didn't you tell me you were going? I'm like,
what are you talking about? And then they sent us photos.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
It was just it was everyone new and I'm just.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Like, it's a small town, everyone talks.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
It was like a whole like everyone knew were at
the airport and I'm just so before I even had
time at that point as well, but you think we
had We had kissed once, so it was like whoa
and then the whole like it felt like the world
is going Jamie Elliott. Yeah, and I was like, shit,
I don't even know what to think just yet, because
it's like we've just this the first time. We're catching
up properly and everyone already knew. But we did, yes,
(09:56):
try to explore something romantic. It just felt like every
time it was something more. That's where we'd clash because
emotionally we're very different.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Yeah, but as friends perfect, So we just kept it there,
kept it as friends. Now, Yeah, can you tell me
about how the first kiss happened then with you guys,
because like, how does that even happen you're just friends?
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Like was it awkward? Like it wasn't awkward, it was
it was. It was quite nice. So I literally didn't
talk to anyone. Nothing I had had like, yeah, I
like one make out in circus once with him, No,
not with just after those some random just just after
(10:38):
I filmed. But then I was like, now I'm not
going to talk to anyone, nothing, nothing, nothing, because I
don't want anyone to know that I'm not with Dave
because we have such a shown couple. We made it
so long, so I was just like going insaying, so
I'm like, this is shit. And then I was so excited.
We're all going to Sydney to watch a reunion and
I was like, great, I'm officially going to be single.
(11:00):
Well it's going to know I am not with Dave anymore.
So I was really getting into the vibe. And then
Elliott just happened to be there and we both I
guess it's first time we were both single around each other.
We always had husbands and wives. Yeah and yeah, so
it was like this is exciting. And Elliot and I
we had started talking a little bit over the phone,
but like again platonically and yeah. We just couldn't stop
(11:23):
talking to each other that trip. And I actually moved
him into my hotel room because he got the shit
hotel and I had the really nice hotels, so I
was like, oh, come into my hotel and I had
him in a separate bed and we just stayed up
all night talking. Nothing happened. And the next day my
makeup artist is like, you had him in your room
and you did nothing about it? And I was like,
(11:45):
should I be doing something about it? Because I was like,
Elliot's not like Elliott's obviously an attractive guy, but he
just wasn't someone I looked at like that. And then
I was like, well, we're kind of throwing ourselves at
each other. So then like very late that morning, snuck
in a bit of a kiss.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
He made the first move.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
It was actually very unanimous. We always say this. It
was like it was like both our legs were in
those pants. It was just very mutual. I think we're
both like it's just like because it's like crossing that
line because you're like, oh, but like is it? And
then but we're both like very much like sending green signals,
but when no one wants to do yeah, because it's
just like it's awkward. Yeah, you're like, but we're just
(12:26):
the most inappropriate jokes. Everyone's like, do you want a room?
Like what's going on? I love that? And then yeah,
then he's like you should come to Queensland, and I
was like, okay, yeah, why not.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Yeah, I love that.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
It's cute.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
You guys did look really cute together.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
I will say, I'm so grateful for Elliott and the
time that I was around him coming off the show,
and yeah he was he was my safe space. So
it was Yeah, it was good.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Nice have like a supporter, like someone in your corner
as well from the show. Who didn't you like in
the cast?
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Do you have a list?
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Let me get the betrayal? Like on the show, clearly
I had issues with Lauren, I had issue I mean
Elliot's ex wives, I had issues with there were runnings
with Sierra obviously, didn't like Tim Modern. I just up
and left. So like, I know, I had my issues
(13:22):
with certain people on the show, but also like I
don't care enough to hold onto things. But then the
second lot of drama that comes from after the show,
which is so much worse than on the show. You
see like the darker side of people when it comes
to press, and I'm just like, I don't care enough
about you guys to be dragging your name online or impress.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
Yeah, they always make more drama afterwards to stay like
the press and relevant and all that.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
We always say, like with reality TV shows, they should
do like a second post show season or like Reion
because there's so much there's all so much beef and drama.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
And I said that.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I hate how our reunion was only a month away.
It should have been after like Probaly doing Real House
where they want the season. But the thing is, we've
got like Jack and Ryan in legal situations, we've got
that much like defamatory accusations online. It's so not like
it would need security because something something's gonna happen, someone's
(14:25):
gonna throw hands of this dinner party. But it's just
like most people just like it's weird, like I might
be talking to this person, but then two of my
friends don't talk to this person, or like three of
us talk to this person, and like it's just like
everyone's got a unique relationship with everyone.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
Would you do maths again?
Speaker 1 (14:39):
No?
Speaker 4 (14:40):
No, that was quick, Like would you do it again?
Like the same thing as.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
In like if she like, yeah, if.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
You could go back in time and you're applying for maths,
would you do it again?
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Yes? I loved I loved experiencing I like things that
I haven't experienced before.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Yeah, that's my favorite thing, my thing.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
But you want to go back on for all stars
of Maths?
Speaker 1 (15:05):
No, because I know what type of men they cast
on these shows now reality shows, then I would I
would do more reality shows. I just yeah, I think
I want to change it up. Maths is a huge movement.
I was there for three and a half months. Whoa,
I long's it's long And that's the thing, like.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
You fall in love with someone the months it's Stockholm syndrome.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
I said this, I'm like, I'm the worst you put
me in with anyone in a room for that long.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Them Obviously your mental health would have been not great
coming off of the show, do you I talk us
through that, and like, I know that there's just so
many gossip calumness, and they really attach themselves to Maths.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
How is that? It was like a weird It was
a really weird experience to go through. I mean, I've
always been someone who has had my mental health issues.
I feel like anxiety is super common. I've had depression before.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
I don't really cast people that don't.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yeah, they're like, yeah, who's struggling. Yeah, So it was
like I've been someone that always has to do like
daily things to make sure I keep myself in check.
But there's nothing in this world that can prepare you
for what, like what's going to come your way after
you've been on reality TV. The online noise alone was
(16:29):
just so wild. Let alone what you're thinking personally, because
every episode I'd watch like I'm going through my own
emotions and you know, dealing with real pain that was
inflicted in that time. And then you've got like the public.
I was really lucky that I was so loved so
I got to see so much beauty online, and when
(16:53):
I felt really isolated on mass or my hard moments,
there was so much. There was so much love. I
felt like the world was giving a hug. Then it's
just like the nasty comment.
Speaker 4 (17:02):
Yeah, well there could be there could be ninety nine
nice comments and one nasty comment and it's the one.
It's the one. You read this one. You're like, like,
like Blake always says, no one well know would be
commenting on anything, and it like that just shows the
sort of people that comment on stuff.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
To listen to them, I don't know, I feel like
I disagree. I feel like it's like there would be
people that you know that have troll accounts and secretly
hate you. Really, yeah, go be a woman. People disguise
themselves as your friends.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
Oh no, sorry that they make themselves troll accounts to
comment on stuff. Have you do know this for experience?
Or you just well?
Speaker 1 (17:39):
I mean Adrian had his own fan page, so like,
I don't. I don't I believe anything is possible.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
That's actually like that's quite funny by him, like that's
so dumb, but so funny.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Do you know?
Speaker 1 (17:53):
I figured it out?
Speaker 3 (17:54):
And I said to him, is this you?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
And he's like, to me, Jamie, trust me, get behind it.
S up seeing clips to build momentum. I'm like, oh,
people already posting my clips. I don't need to do that.
And I'm like I was like the thought of someone
knowing I had my own fan page that would be
enough to just like yeah, way, And he's like he's like, celebrate.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Do you know what is so funny about this? I
don't know if you guys watched Band of Hump Rules,
but of course I do.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yeah, And did you see like the most recent episode
and Brittany who's Jackson's action like.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
A fake account has based off?
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Yeah, and he was commenting like everyone was saying all
this negative stuff about him, and he was he was
replying to a legend. And then it's funny because you
were saying, Adrian, all that is three things.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Maybe it's like a male thing.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (18:44):
I don't have a fan account.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
Now he activated my burner account ages ago.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
We still wanted to check all your accounts.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
Did you ever say he's a legend?
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Here you go, I'll show you.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
But I think you're I think, like, back.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
To the point, no account.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
If you think I can see from over there, I
might look young, but my side I'm that good.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
I need my glasses come.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
I just quickly signed out of Matt Underscore is a legend.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
But I think back to what we were saying. I
think it like I have been.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
I did have a friend who was trolling me, remember
over COVID Yeah close friend, see, I think, yeah, and
we're stopping frenzies of that because I was like, what
the actual fuck?
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Who does that?
Speaker 3 (19:36):
Do you have experience with that?
Speaker 1 (19:37):
I mean, not that I know of.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
I don't. For me, I'm such a blocker. I don't
give anyone enough time. I don't like the tone of
your message, you could get a block from me, like
I just anything that doesn't make me feel good, Like
I don't. So many people said to me, but do
you want the followers or the engagement? Why would I
want this person who is like trying to cast an
evil life on me and my comments and just hate
(20:02):
watching me. I don't want that. Yeah, so I block
a lot of people. I mean, I hope to god
my friends aren't secretly trolling me.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Well, what you can do is it says block and
block accounts associated to this.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
They do that.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
So imagine if you block the burner or like Dodgy
account and it blocks one of your friends at the
same time.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Oh my god, that would be.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
If it was happening to you, then you would not
only find out. Yeah, and that's why we should all
block everyone.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
I'm the same as you. As soon as someone come
it something negative, I've blocked them straight away.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
It is like an evil eye, that's what it is.
It's just negative energy. You don't need it in your life. No,
I totally agree with that.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
I don't want to reason with them.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
I'm just like, see, yah, you can't and you can't
reason with them, you know what I mean? I figured
that out.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
Reason is crazy.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
You can't. You can't because what do you meant to
do change everyone's minds?
Speaker 2 (20:51):
Like, you can't know?
Speaker 1 (20:52):
And that's they say you will spend You'll spend your
life trying to prove yourself to the wrong person.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Like, and I think as well, like your so.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Deep right, I love it.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
I'm like eating this.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
So bitch.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
I love that you've called out online bullying and said
words hurt. None of us are invincible. I'm like, I
want to read that quote because I just compliment me.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
That's fine. Yes I did say that.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, I mean, I love it.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
I can't remember did you say that?
Speaker 4 (21:34):
Did?
Speaker 1 (21:35):
I probably did.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I've said a lot of things on this on this Yeah,
I mean, so you said words hurt, none of us
are invincible. I love that, And I think with such
a big platform, it's really important to like e spread
that message. Do you feel like a lot of people
kind of like look up to you now because you're like, no, bs,
you're getting blocked if you disrespect me and my peace.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
Do you get a lot of that vibe from your
follow I definitely do.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
I do have a lot of Like it's a I
think I'm like ninety six percent females, So it's a
strong female following. And I'm someone who I feel like
sometimes I've got like an advice column going on in
my dms. Like a lot of women come to me
and they, you know, ask me for advice or they,
you know, will you know, give such a sweet message
on how much like I've helped them or my experience
(22:22):
help them, or what I post every day and just
being authentic and being my pajamas or you know, just
living my life and just like kind of breaking that
mold of what a TV personality or influencer should look
and being I guess more relatable because I'm just an
everyday person. I'm really when people get excited to me,
I'm like, I'm not that exciting. Well I was thinking,
(22:43):
I'm really not that exciting. I'm like, I'm I spend
my time binge watching Rally TV and harvesting my crops
on my phone. I've got this township app and I
love to no it's township Township. We look it up.
You have the best time.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
I usually play Simpsons tapped out love that sort of
the same thing. You like have to like build Springfield
back up. Oh but it's done. Now they've stopped it.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
Oh that so that could have been so much fun.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
It was so much funny as you get them to
do challenges and you get like XP and donuts and
it's fine as.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Yeah, like okay, I've got like it's like kind of
similar but.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Like way better and you rebuild the sprit town. But
I was thinking before is I was actually quite shook
to hear you say that you suffer from like depression anxiety.
That you come across so strong and such a strong woman.
So I was surprised to hear that, and I felt
like someone to go on reality TV, you'd be pretty
you know, good with it.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
But yeah, yeah, well, like I like, I experienced depression
when I was a little bit younger, so I definitely
have gotten over that. Hum But my mind is powerful,
Like put me in a room with a balloon or
something and watch it lose its mind. Like literally, I
have a lot of anxiety based irrational fears. So I'm
(23:53):
a real walk in the park.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
Not so it's been a year since you've been on that, Yes,
how are you different?
Speaker 1 (24:00):
What did you learn?
Speaker 3 (24:00):
Like what's your key takeaways from the show.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
I definitely learned like being your authentic self is the
most important thing. Yeah, Because I remember being on the
show and I was like very different to a lot
of the other girls, and I was so like like
I don't care. And I remember like at one point
I started to feel insecure because I'd see them so
(24:24):
glammed up to be in their apartment yeah, or like
they'd wait like for wake ups, like I let the
camera crew wake me up, like most time I hadn't.
I love that brush my teeth or hair, Like it
was amazing. Do you know how long I got to
sleep When your job is to be in bed At
nine point thirty, I was leaving like ten hours every night.
I loved it. And I was just like yep, cool.
Just everybody everyone else was living a full life and
(24:47):
wouldn't want the camera to see them without like concealer
or light foundation. And I kept going like, shit, did
I do this all wrong? I'm I gonna look like
an absolute like monkey on this show. So I just
feel a bit insecure. And then sometimes even I'm like yeah,
like i'd speak out, I'd say things, I'd be a
bit more like loud, yeah, and not everyone took to it,
(25:08):
And like there were times obviously I got into a
bit of trouble for it too, But then seeing kind
of how the public responded, and it's just like, I'm
so glad I was myself. I'm so glad I didn't
look at what everyone else was doing. I'm so glad
I didn't let someone say, like I didn't let people's
negative comments steer me on how I should conduct myself. Yeah,
(25:28):
Like I was like, no, this is who I am,
Like take it or leave it.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
Yeah, use negative comments.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Well, obviously, like that time with Lauren Retreat, I was
the one that was like, you know, too loud and
she doesn't stop, and I'm aggressive, and I'm just like,
you don't know what aggressive is. You really don't. I'm like,
I'm great, this is communicating. Okay, so come to my household.
(25:56):
Hear us talk about the dishwasher Like that's more. That's
more like full on then what was going on at retreat. Yeah,
but yeah, like I feel like I could have. I
remember when I got scolded by the experts, which is
funny they had to apologize to me at reunion because
I actually watched retreat and realized it wasn't me. Yeah,
so that was really vindicating yeah, but at that time,
(26:18):
I remember like I was really upset. I was made
to feel like shit, like am I the bad guy?
Like was I too much? And so I was really upset.
I remember productions just like don't let this stop you
from being you, Like we can't, like the experts have
to say what again they feel is right and wrong?
They're only seeing so much. I don't know what happened
at retreat, and I was like, no, I'm not gonna
(26:39):
let this shut me up for quiet me down. I
remember going back onto the couch and like I've interjected
and everyone else's couple therapy, I'm just like I'm not
gonna let anything deter me from being me. Like that's
an isolated incident. I may have flown off the hand
or gone too far. That's fine, I can own that.
But like the ends of the day, like I'm going
to say my piece, that's who I am.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
And no one's perfect.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
And I think it's like like you said, it's those
like moments of like not being perfect that people go, oh,
she's a real human, she's made a mistake, or like
she's waking up with no makeup. That's how everyone else
wakes up, Like no one wakes up with a full
full glam, so then it makes people.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Warm to you more.
Speaker 3 (27:16):
So I think he absolutely nailed it and killed it
on the show.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Sure.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
There's obviously a new season of Maths coming out. There's
three things guaranteed in life, death taxes in another season
of Maths. Any advice for anyone on that show when
it's airing to how to handle it? Yeah, and if
they want to apply for an upcoming season.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
So well, okay, so for the current cart when it's airing,
like everyone says, don't look at the comments, and I'm
I will say, don't look at the comments, but like
you're gonna look at the comments. Oh yeah, you're gonna
look at the comments. I'll tell you not to, but
I know you're going to do it, and that's fine.
You just have to remember that even when it's like god,
(27:57):
I mean, I don't know what it's like to be
that hated, but there is. They always say there's a
three day rule in reality television. So things will reach
its peak and then it's like it's the next person's any.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Sort of media and at all, like it will hit,
the things will go massive, and then it will.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Just yeah, it dies. Yeah, and understanding people that troll
you and say awful things about your appearance who you are,
they're just such unhappy people. I agree, Like they're just
such happy people. Like people were trolling my appearance and
I hadn't even like that had one episode yet. It
was like my trailer and you're just like at the start,
(28:36):
you're like, oh my god, what the hell like, but
then you realize these people just live in their mother's
basement or something, like they're just really unhappy people. Because
I would never do that, and I'm so glad. I
don't understand why they would do that.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
So that's like my advice, have fun with all the
hate you're going to get, lean on your family and
friends and keep Like I was really connected to my
faith during that, so that helped me. So if that
helps you do that anyone wanting to apply, you also
have to be okay with being hated. Yeah, and don't
go on to be a fake version of yourself. The audience,
(29:10):
Caesar production, Caesar and your partner will see it.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (29:14):
Do you think maths is like made for people to
be hated?
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Though?
Speaker 4 (29:17):
Like the way it's edited and the way it comes
across I feel it. Frank Combinding, Yeah, I reckon it's
made that some people get hated, like the production do
that on purpose.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
I mean the like the landscape of the show is
that everyone judges each other, like we have three experts
that judge us. We're encouraged to judge each other's relationships,
and then the public is also like the fourth expert.
Everyone's critiquing. But the thing is, it's like maths is
quite educational. I feel like you learn so much about relationships,
(29:50):
personality types, and I think, like I remember, like a Fina,
she was struggling so much and they really wanted her
to stay on the show, and I said to her,
but you know, it's going to help someone because personality
traits the agent has a lot of people have dated
someone very similar to Adrian, and it sucks now and
it's hard now, but someone will watch your journey and
(30:12):
be able to see those traits in a partner maybe
where it's just like, okay, this is not healthy.
Speaker 4 (30:18):
I was watching some of it sometimes. Yeah, it would
trigger me some of the stuff I saw it. I
agree it can be very educational to people.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Yeah, it's super educational.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
He's still looking for love I am.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Yeah, I am, like I like, I actually went on
because I wanted to have babies.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Yeah, like, and I believe that I went on.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
I did go on to maths because I wanted to
find someone and have babies. Like being a mom is
like my number one. Like I've worked in childcare four years,
absolutely loved her, and I just I just always wanted
to have babies. And so I thought, well, I'm trash
at picking men. Like what if I have like the
Jewels and cam, the Martha and Michael kind of situation. Yeah,
(31:00):
like I can do that, And I thought I did.
I was, I was like this, Actually I thought, oh shit,
I manifested way too hard because now everything's like falling
into place. I'm I'm gonna have it all. But it
didn't work out that way, which I'm grateful because I
think I've grown so much and what I want in
a relationship is a lot different now too.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
Yeah what are you looking for now? In case any
any men ear listening or females who might know a guy.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
I definitely think someone who it would be good to
have someone who's in media but not on social media. Yeah,
I would love mean someone, so someone who like who's
in the media. However, isn't someone that's an active use
on social media.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
So that understands the industry, I think because.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
I'm I am concerned about because I would love a trade. Honestly,
I love men that are good with building and or
so sexy. But at the same time, I'm worried about
throwing someone into this world. It's very overwhelming and like
things I'm just used to. Yeah, I need someone who
is okay with being public. I'm an oversharer. I share things,
(32:09):
I talk about any kind of romance I have on TikTok, so,
like I'd need someone who's like comfortable with that against
someone who wants to have a family, preferably doesn't have pets. Yeah,
and somebody wants to child because I'm I'm going to
move around a lot, like I probably won't be in
the country next year. Yeah, so I need someone that's
(32:29):
just like four know, I'm from Adelaide. Yeah, this was
moving to the big city for me. City of churches, Yeah,
a lot of a lot of bloody churches. Probably we
just opened another Greek church. How are we opening more church?
Speaker 3 (32:46):
So where like Europe or where are you thinking?
Speaker 1 (32:50):
I'm really hoping to be in Greece.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
I'll see you there the same.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Yeah, I would. I would love it, honestly, if I
can breed with a Greek like, I would so do that.
They're so gorgeous over there, and they're like they invented
love bombing. I love being loved.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
Yeah, I.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Like euro Summer fleeing I had in two days was
like the most romance I've encountered in my entire life,
because they I felt like a freaking mermaid or something
like I was mythical creature. Because like the words and
the over the top just I'm such words a mafformation,
so importance I need. That's why I really need a
man like intense like chemistry, passion, romance, words, affirmation. I'm
(33:36):
a hardcore lover girl. That's I think I need to
go overseas one yeah, to get it. Yeah, men Australia,
don't the European men know how to.
Speaker 4 (33:43):
I've seen so many tiktoks of people like American girls
saying stuff like the Australian dudes just don't get it.
They don't approach women at all.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
It's so nonchalant, chalant. I posted the thing on walking Dates.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
And like I saw something like this, Yeah, I was
someone some.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Girl made a TikTok I commented she said about, oh
I'm going on a walking date. She's panic. I said,
I wouldn't gone a walking date. A bunch of bozo
men literally jumped in the comments and started trolling me
and like literally like got a picture of my face,
blew up my lips to be like up to my eyes,
and I was just like, wow, sorry, I'm assuming you
(34:22):
like to go on walking dates. Because it was just
like a bunch of men that were offended that I'm
like blowing up their space about free dates, like how
dare you let me take this woman for a walk
around the park. And I'm just like I said, I
don't want to go on you go dat each other?
And then there's women commenting too, aren't like you're an
idiot on your walking dates?
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Would be your ideal date?
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Then I am a dinner date kind of girl.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
Like restaurant just a viby restaurant.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
I I look as I love a good passer, but
like to me, like I am someone who I don't
go on dates often. It's one of those things like
I remember before mass I had a few dates that
I did have, and I think it shows a lot
when a guys like, let me take you out to
a nice restaurant. I want to spend the money on you.
That's showing that they see your worth and they're willing
(35:09):
to YEA like to be like, I'm going to invest
in you.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
I agree, and I like it.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
I like seeing that people like the women that go,
oh my god, a consident to say what if I
don't like him, why are you there?
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Then?
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Why are you there? Just and if you don't like him,
eat the food and get a good buzz, and they
get out there like I'm like, oh, talk to my pastor,
I'm so sweet.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
True, Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
I don't like walking dates. So yeah. I had to
post a TikTok about that, and a lot of people
were in agreeance with me. I'm like, great, like, let's
why are we encouraging nonchalant men.
Speaker 4 (35:39):
I'll tell you, why do you want to know what
I'm walking date?
Speaker 1 (35:41):
You're walking those girls around with your sister's dog on.
Speaker 4 (35:44):
No, No, that the thought pattern behind a walking date,
I reckon for a guy I haven't been on one
would be there is an end to the date. So
you're walking and there is an end.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
Most Melbourne dinner places an hour and a half slots,
just saying if you're in grease, you funk, you have
to sit there three hours.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Dark.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
But like in Melbourne, hour and a half on a
Friday Saturday, they're like getting and.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
Get I've been kicked out dinner.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
You've never been kicked out. Usually it's time salts because
you're just famous and ship. It's like, please they sit here,
you see wherever you want?
Speaker 2 (36:27):
You want?
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Do you want to bring you some more wine compliments
of the chef.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
Has there been any interesting men sliding.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
In to the d ms? It's like the honestly, my
dms like the worst. They really are. People people go oh,
but like you've got so many followers now surely getting
to a no I missed my like pre mass tms
Like that's when I was actually like, have like men
sliding through you post the story. It's great now it's
like a post story And if I wanted to be
a lesbian, I'd have a field day.
Speaker 6 (36:55):
I DM really okay, she has a full female Yeah,
and honestly, like Barties, everyone's gorgeous and I have had
many women offer if I'm willing to switch the other
team They've got me, and I'm like, I cursed the
day I was born straight honestly, because there's so many
beautiful women out there.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
I have so much to offer, and I'm like, damn it,
stuck with the men. And then the men in my DMS,
it's just like really grim. I get a lot of
like older men that are like obsessed. I get like
love notes, which are beautiful. I like the love notes,
but it's just like, yeah, just a lot of really
interesting people that you're like, probably not.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
I definitely found that when I was single, like I
didn't feel like the dams were coming through with the goods,
but I feel like men always get heaps of an
influx of dams.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Yeah, which I'm sure you can attest to.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Tell us.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Now, Jamie, it was so lovely getting to know you.
Thank you so much for coming on the podcast.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
Thank you a pleasure.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
It's been a pleasure, and yeah, we're just excited to
see what's next for you.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Until next time, guys, Bye bye bye
