Speaker 1 (00:03):
Okay, incredible mess star addresses allegations.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
This is massive, Anna, I saw this stumble across my
new speed as well from me.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Just sending me lots and lots of content about it.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Well, welcome to where's your headline? Ass?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Welcome gone into it.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
So I don't know if you guys are across this,
but Dean Lewis has made a very lengthy statement. This
is the first I even heard of this. I did
not know that there was a Dean Lewis scandal happening,
and then I saw his statement.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Because I have been a.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Big fan of Dean Lewis for the longest time. You
know how much I love Waves through my breakup, Like genuinely,
I was listened to it on repeat. So Dean Lewis,
in his child apology has spoken about how he's going
to seek therapy after explosive online claims of inappropriate behavior
with fans.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Matt, what do you think of this?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
So he was messaging girls.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
So basically he has quite a young fan base, and
it seems.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Which sorry surprises me as well, only because he was
He's been around for a while now.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
I mean he probably has a very widespread fan base,
but a lot of.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
The I think it'd be more our age millennials because
when we were young, he was pretty hot to trot.
He was, yeah, yeah, they're just sing my surprise.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
I mean, I'm sure that he has many fans, but
this is specifically talking about his younger fans and how
there has been inappropriate behavior towards some of them. And
it sounds like maybe he has been cooking up with fans.
Maybe that's like a thing for him. I don't know, Like,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
So you're telling me the world is losing their mind
because a singer is hooking up with his fans.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I mean that is I understand where you're coming from,
because look.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Justin Bieber Drake, they all fucking do it.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Of course they all do. Of course they do.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Like I was at R and B Fridays when I
was young, wild, single and free, and Usher's people came
up to him were like, do you want to come
meet Usher?

Speaker 2 (02:04):
And I was like, no, it's a tailor fuck a
tale as old as time.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Of course it is. And I totally get that.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
But where this is different is these fans are very young,
so I heard, and there's lots of allegations coming out
there's lots of women coming forward and going actually, this
happened to me as well. I did see a TikTok
video where a girl said that Dean Lewis first liked
her photo when she was fifteen. The photo of her

(02:33):
was like on her fifteenth birthday, were at clearly state
she was fifteen, he was interacting with that, and then
when she was nineteen they ended up hooking up. Did
he wait until she was of legal age?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Technically yes.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Is it creepy that she was kind of lingering around
at the age of when she was fifteen?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Also, yes, that's very creepy. YEAHVN like, well, how do
you even get into someone's Instagram that's fifteen? Like, how
do you fumble onto that?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Well? I guess where the link is coming in is
that they're fans of him.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Oh okay, so might have messaged him, of course.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, So they're messaging him, and then he's obviously responding,
and he does respond to fans, and he's said that
for a very long time.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Could a response from him be taken out of context? Sure?

Speaker 1 (03:17):
But what the accusations of the things that are being
said about him are a little bit creepier and there's
also been a voice note where he says something along
the lines of oh, baby, yeah, like you look so
hot in that white dress, and it's like, and I
know that you're looking at me. I'm sure that in
private conversations with maybe you've probably said to someone baby, yeah,

(03:43):
that dress looks so hot. Whatever.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
If they're underage, that's not acceptable.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
She wasn't underage at the time, but she was young,
so there's this like kind of debate going on at
the moment.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Did he make the girl feel uncomfortable?

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yes? And I think that's and I think that's where
there's this whole thing is really gaining legs because you
feel mfor there are lots and lots and lots of
allegations coming out that he has made people feel uncomfortable,
saying things along the lines of are you going to
make me happy? Or when someone said no, kind of

(04:17):
like pushing the boundaries a little bit more, and then
they've ended up having sex. All of legal age so
far from what's come out, But again, this is gaining legs.
Who knows what's going to come out in the future
and coming up, and it's just like it's artists for
as long as time has happened, Like there's been groupies,
there's been people hooking up with fans, but yeah, he's

(04:39):
a thirty seven, thirty eight year old man.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
And now yeah and nineteen year olds.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
It's a little bit gross in my OPI we were
talking about actually something like what is the right age
to like the okay age to hook up with people?
And we there was this theory that we came across
because we were like, well, what is the right age
if you're a guy to be like dating women, because obviously.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
For women tend and men like.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Men date down, women date up generally speaking.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Generally, sekond I've always dated older.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
You've always stated.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Older, and now I'm sitting here divorced, so.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Hasn't worked out hasn't worked out well for me.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
But yeah, So there's this theory that they say, if
you half your age and then add seven, that should
be the youngest that you date. So let's do you
for example, so you're thirty years old, yes, half your
age fifteen fifteen, and then add seven, so that's twenty two.
So twenty two should be the youngest age that you date.
Obviously that's like a rough guestimation, and I think I'm

(05:41):
down to person.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Personality wise, because like if a young twenty two year
old would be young to even have a conversation with, yeah,
but like a mature one would be fine. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
I think it's such a hard one, right, because like
there are those occasions where people will be together forever
and there's like this twenty year age gap and like
it doesn't really matter and blah blah blah. I think
where it gets like tricky, especially coming from a mother,
is I would hate to have a daughter who's fifteen
and they see a celebrity or a big star come

(06:14):
into their DMS or they're liking photos and like giving
them like a little bit of like love heart here,
like message there.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Feeling like you're not.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
It's terrifying. It's really inappropriate. And I think the protective
part of me is like he should have known.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Better, he should have done better.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Yeah, I'm really glad that he's going to therapy because
it's creepy and it's not okay. And look, just to
be very clear, he has claimed that all of the
women that he has ever cooked up with have.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Been of age. But I think it's just the power
and balance.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
If you're a young impressionable woman, and you have this
huge celebrity who has all of this power and they're
interested in you. You feel like you want to impress
them or do what they want. And if he's making
comments allegedly like you should want to make me happy
or things like that, it really doesn't sit well with me.

(07:10):
And I think it's just concerning. And obviously this is
ever evolving. This only happened two days ago when we're
recording this, so who knows what's going to happen in
the next week. If there's going to be more people come.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Out, I hope no one of underage comes out.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
That would be really, really really disappointed.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
I'd be disappointing.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah, for sure, we will stay on top of this
story because we'd love to cover more of this on
Where's your Headline At?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
So stay tuned for that and until next time.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
The next time
