A change of tow vehicle meant a delay to our trip prep and redoing some of the work we had already done. A difficult decision was also required on the future of our pet.

We made it to Tasmania (one of our big ticket places to see) and life on the road is taking a familiar shape now. When things are going well, life is great but several days of rain, a leaky camper and an ant infestation take their toll.

After moving down Tasmania's stunning east coast we headed to Hobart and the surrounding areas. We also learnt a lesson about planning ahead whilst booking our trip back to the mainland in peak season.

From leaving the comforts of friends in Hobart we wiggled our way back to Devonport but not before we experienced all the West Coast goodness we could handle. And what a trip it was! From the dizzying heights of a monumental dam to a river crossing to make Indiana Jones proud plus enough wind to blow the spots off a quoll. Tasmania you earned a spot in our hearts!

After spending our first 2 months on the road it's time to reflect on whether our new lifestyle is working for us. We are on our own again after a wonderful 3 weeks with family and friends. We find some great camp spots as we move north up the QLD coast but a little accident creates a 1000km detour and could upset the whole adventure.

After leaving the Canefields of Mackay it was time to continue a little further up the Queensland Coast and what better place to stop than the Whitsundays. Airlie Beach was the destination and the proving ground for Ben's recent boat obsession. We had Sun, Snorkling and Swell and lots of it.
