Well, I hope you guys know thatwe're on YouTube and you're

(00:22):
actually there right nowwatching us in this podcast.
If not head on over there, seeme and our guest today, um,
cause it's super fun just kindof watching a podcast, but also
hit subscribe and like, and thenthe notification.
So you're notified when all ofthis stuff takes place well
today.
As you can see, Jeff is nothere.
You're not hearing Jeff, but Ihave a new co host for today's

(00:44):
special episode.
And it's our director ofmarketing, Christy Wicks.
Now she has put together thismost epic holiday gift guide for
you guys to use this holidayseason.
So Christy, welcome.
And thanks for putting thatincredible and amazing, and
it's.
Just like so stunning to look atto gift guide for all of us to

(01:05):
use.
It will help us to not have thatburden that we always
experience, you know, likeduring that holiday season of
what am I going to give myspouse or my kids or my parents
or my in laws, oh my gosh, coworkers and such.
Because it's really hard to bethoughtful in, well, a season
that we're already super busywith, but then to be Mindful and

(01:28):
thoughtful and I don't know whatthey want.
I know what I want, but I don'tknow what other people want So
thank you so much for justtaking so much time and energy
to put this together.
I know that Along with Jane ourgraphic designer you two really
worked hard at putting togetherthis beautifully laid out Gift
guide.
So thank you so much for doingthat and for joining us today.

Cristy (01:51):
Yeah.
Thank you for having me.
I am so excited to be on thepodcast.
Um, I also had some help from mysister on this.
Um, I don't know if you knewthat.
So my sister, she, uh, runs a,an online shop called margin
social.
And so she's always seeing thenew brands and the new trends.
So I'm not that big of ashopper, but I love putting

(02:13):
together, you know, guides.
I think it's the.
The seven in me, the likepattern connecting, it is so fun
to put together helpful guidesfor people.
Um, And what type is yoursister?
Uh, she's a three.

Beth (02:28):
Okay.
So.
And she's your twin.

Cristy (02:30):
Yes.

Beth (02:31):
Yes.
Okay.
Yeah.
So yeah.
So the, the, the three that is,you know, let's get this done
and you know, like just she's ontask mode and you're like, yeah,
but let's connect all the dots.
I mean you can see it throughoutthis whole gift guide.
That's amazing.

Cristy (02:47):
Thanks.
I am so excited for this guideto help our followers and
subscribers just have a slowerand more meaningful holiday
season.
Cause I know that obligation ofgift giving, like you, you want
to give great gifts.
So there's this excitementthere, but at the same time, it
can feel so burdensome toespecially like share the people

(03:10):
that you love the most to givethem something really
meaningful.
And so I am so excited that thiscan help.
I

Beth (03:18):
know all the nine types are going to love this gift
guide, but I'll just say from anine's perspective, we just want
to make everyone happy.
And we don't sometimes even knowhow to do that.
And I mean, unless we ask, buteven that sometimes the person
doesn't know, or they are justvery vague.
And so for all of us nines outthere, this is going to be
immensely helpful, even if it'snot that you're going to buy the

(03:38):
exact gifts that are on here, which I do recommend, um, it at
least gives you a framework.
And how to think about yourloved ones.
And so I just wanted to put thatplug in there for all, cause we
have a lot of tight nines thatfollow us.
And just to let you know, guys, this is going to be immensely
helpful for you.

Cristy (03:58):
Yeah.
And, and helpful for the peopleshopping for the type nines
because it's even, it's hard fornines to come up with what they
want.
So, um, I was thinking aboutthat a lot as well.
I was putting this together.
So, you know, by the end of thispodcast episode, um, all of our
listeners will have a solid planin place for what to give each

(04:19):
type in their life.
And to go ahead and check outthat online guide right now, you
can go to your, any gram coach.
com slash gift.
Dash guide.
And that guide is totallyclickable.
So you can go ahead and fillyour cart easily and discover
some new favorite brands allalong the way.

Beth (04:41):
That's awesome.
That is so great.
Well, I cannot wait to just divein and to help people really
kind of think through just likebeyond the intangible or the
tangible gifts, but to look atmore in a concrete way, why you
want to.
And how to think about yourfriends, family, and coworkers,

(05:02):
their preferences and likes, andlike all the things that are
going on.
So, um, so additional, inaddition to hearing specific
products that, you know, willmake great gifts, you're also
going to hear about why certaintypes love to get certain gifts
in particular ways.
Um, plus I think, can you just,Highlight a little bit on the

(05:25):
discount codes that you have inthere.
Like this isn't just a giftguide Like like with no like
bells and whistles.
I mean you have gotten discountcodes other things that are
really beneficial to those thatare going to use the guide but
also really focused in on TheEnneagram enthusiast.

(05:45):
Is that right?

Cristy (05:46):
Yes.
Yes.
So, um, for one thing we have, you know, we've reached out to a
lot of these brands and we toldthem about our listeners.
And we said, we want to givesomething really special,
special to our listeners.
So several of these brands said, okay, we will give, we'll 15
percent off discount.
We'll set up a 50% 40 percentoff discount,

Beth (06:09):
which I'm

Cristy (06:09):
really excited to share, but I'll wait until we get to
that type to share.
Who's giving 40 percent off

Beth (06:16):
though.

Cristy (06:16):
I'm so excited for us to be able to offer that.
And then also we, before we jumpinto all of our types, we want
to talk about what gifts youshould give the Enneagram
enthusiast.

Beth (06:28):
Yes.

Cristy (06:29):
And for that's who's listening, right?
Yeah.
That's you.
You are in this camp.
And so we also are giving a bigdiscount on some of our
Enneagram resources.
Um, so we will actually begiving 50 percent off several of
our Enneagram resources.

(06:49):
That's awesome.
Beth, do you want to share aboutsome of the courses?

Beth (06:54):
Yeah.
50 percent off.
Come on guys.
Like this is the time of year todive in.
Like, even if it's a gift foryourself.
So don't count yourself out onthis, but yeah.
So we have several, uh, coursesthat are going to be very
beneficial for you guys.
So we have a three step coachingmodel of discover, explore,
become.
So we want you to discover theEnneagram and your type, explore

(07:15):
your type so that you can thenbecome the best version of
yourself.
So The discovering you coursethat is a self paced course that
introduces you to the Enneagramand helps you to unlock clarity
for yourself and the peoplearound you.
And like she said, that's 50percent off.
So all of these courses, you caneasily go to your Enneagram
coach.

(07:35):
com forward slash holiday two, two, and you'll see all of them
there.
Um, we'll also have this in theshow notes.
Um, and if you get our emailsfor the podcast, you'll see it
there as well.
Now, the second course isexploring you.
Now, this is an in depthexploration of your Enneagram
type that provides you apersonal roadmap to fulfill, to

(07:58):
a fulfilling life for your type.
So we're talking about realaccelerated transformation for
you.
And basically I'm coaching andguiding you just like I would do
all of my clients that I do inperson.
So you're going to get the heartof what I do in this course.
And again, it's 50 percent offAnd you can get it again at

(08:18):
yourinagramcoach.
com forward slash holiday to towell, you know, which means The
year 2022.
Okay.
Then becoming us now, guys, thisis amazing course.
Well, I should say 45 coursesand you're thinking, I'm not
going to buy 45 courses, Beth.
No, you don't have to buy 45courses because there's one for

(08:39):
each couple type combination.
So for married couples, um, thisor engaged couples, this is a
great opportunity for you guysto have meaningful connection
Uh, the two of you.
So there are 45 courses and theyare customized to your two
types.
So for instance, Jeff and I aretype six and a nine.

(08:59):
There's a course for us, butChristy and John, they are two
sevens.
There is a course for two sevensthat are in relationship and I
coach and guide you each step ofthe way, um, along with Jeff.
And so that course is 50 percentoff and you get a 64 page, uh,
Customized workbook that is justfor your two types that you guys

(09:22):
can use as a reference all yearlong And then our become an
Enneagram coach guys This isjust the heart of what we do

the year, but it's winter two, two.
And again, these will all be inthe show notes and in the email
for podcast.

(10:28):
If you have any questions, don'thesitate to email our team at
info at your Enneagram coach.
com.
So if you forgot what I'msaying, you can't, you know,
rewind, or you don't have theemail for some reason, just
email us.
We are happy to help.
So Christy, can you share alittle bit more about some of
the other, uh, ones that wewanted to highlight first?

Cristy (10:47):
Yeah, yeah, but I also want to say, um, you know, John
and I did the Becoming Uscourse.
Oh yeah! And I just loved it.
Um, you know, as, since we arethe same type, so often we
already understand where theother person is coming from.
So we do feel Often that ourrelationship is a little bit
easier than if we were comingfrom totally different, you

(11:09):
know, perspectives, but to seethe seven and seven
communication styles just likelaid out on the screen and to
see actually like visuallydepicting, you know, what it's
like when I say something andhow he's receiving it.
It was still so powerful.
And I kept thinking, becoming usis such a great, um, example of

(11:34):
how the Enneagram is helpfulfor, in my life, at least, um,
our parents.
So like the generation ahead ofus that may be a little more
skeptical about the Enneagram.
That Becoming Us course justseems like it really lays out so
clearly how to get immediatefruit from knowing more about

(11:57):
your type and your spouse'stype.
So

Beth (12:00):
yeah.
And also like what you weresaying, but you and I was even
thinking like, let's say you'rereally stuck in your
relationship with like, like youand your dad and you know, your
dad is like, let's say a typeone.
And you're like, so the coursethough, it's.
Under the umbrella of marriage,it's really a relationship
course.
So it would even be reallyhelpful to use in that, you

(12:23):
know, you just obviously changedsome of the wording from
marriage stuff into relationshipstuff, but it really helps, like
you said, communication styleconflict, um, how to become your
better selves together.
So, yeah, but that's notnecessarily where you're going.
But go ahead with what you weresaying.

Cristy (12:40):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I, I think of, um, my in laws,my, um, father in law has always
worked in a church and he hasheard us talking about the
Enneagram for seven years, uh,always with kind of this
skepticism.
And so I just feel like becomingus is such a great first step

(13:02):
for him to better understand whywe love the Enneagram, but also
to experience.
Improvement in his ownrelationships.
So I highly recommend that as agift, um, to friends and family.

Beth (13:15):
Yeah.
And I love what you said rightthere, because at the beginning
of the, of the course is a veryquick, quick overview of the
Enneagram, something that.
You know, someone of either thatgeneration or who's a newbie to
the Enneagram can quicklyunderstand what the Enneagram is
without going too into the, deepinto the woods or into the

(13:35):
weeds, you know, and feeloverwhelmed.
And so, yeah, you're right.
That would be a great course asan introduction, but also as an
introduction.
Practical resources because it'svery practical.
Like here's how you communicatewhen you're doing well, when
you're not doing well.
And here's how your spouserelate, you know, communicates
when they're doing well and notdoing well.
And here are some steps to makeit even better.

(13:56):
So I love that you brought thatup.
Thank you so much.

Cristy (13:59):
Yeah.
Thank you for creating it.

Beth (14:03):
It was a labor of love for the entire team, I will say.

Cristy (14:07):
Um, and a few other Enneagram gifts are from some
other brands.
So outside of your Enneagramcoach, we have found some
Enneagram gifts that are so fun.
And one of those It's by LindseyLetters.
We love Lindsey Letters.
Um, yes, Beth, you led thatInstagram live with Lindsey

(14:28):
earlier this year and it was sopowerful.
Um, yeah.
If people

Beth (14:33):
want to watch it, they just go to our Instagram account
and go to, um, I think it'slives or, you know, somewhere
where the lives live, it's likean hour long.
So wherever those live onInstagram, you can find it
under, um, any, a tour.
I put it under a series calledany, a tour, and it was.
I mean, she's a type eight andshe got real vulnerable with us.

(14:56):
And if you've ever wanted to seethe vulnerability of an eight
and how beautiful it is, that isa perfect way to spend your
time.

Cristy (15:04):
Yeah.
Yeah.
Lindsay is a powerhouse.
Yeah.
Just like advocating for herfamily and for others.
So it was so, so wonderful towatch that.
And she's also an artist.
And so she runs a businesswhere, um, she helps people, the
everyday person, you know,embrace art.

(15:26):
And we're going to talk a littlebit more about Lindsay later on
the podcast, but she has someEnneagram t shirts and those t
shirts, she has a couple ofdifferent styles.
There is one, um, styled intypography, and then the other
is actually hand lettered in hersignature style.
And the t shirts show your wing.
So, you know, people tend tolean more towards one wing or

(15:50):
have At least have moreawareness of it.
For instance, like I have moreawareness of my eight wing, but
I still use my six wing and youknow, Beth and Jeff helped me
figure out when I'm using my sixwing.

Beth (16:02):
Yeah,

Cristy (16:03):
exactly.
So if you would like to, youknow, show your type, uh, wear
it proudly.
You should go get an Enneagram tshirt from Lindsay Letters
store.
And then the other Enneagramgift that we recommend is a
paddy wax candle.
So Paddy Wax is a local companyin Nashville, and they have

(16:27):
selected fragrances to representeach brand.
Enneagram type.
So Beth, I went ahead and pulledthe sense that they did for the
type seven and the type nine.
Oh yeah.
Um, to show how they're thinkingthrough this.
And I actually really agree.
See, looking over this, I wasskeptical at first, like, are
they really going to know how toshow a type seven in, you know,

(16:51):
candle form, but I'm impressed.
So the type seven, they'vecalled it cactus flower.
And the top notes scents thatthey say are in it are, um, dewy
pear and bergamot and coconutwater.
So looking over that, then I seethese refreshing, energetic,

(17:12):
lively aromas that are so trueto the type 7.
And then for the type 9, uh,they've labeled the type 9 scent
as sage and lavender with thesetop notes.
Of eucalyptus leaves and crushedlavender.
And so of course, like you canjust, you hear that and you're

(17:33):
like, I'm sitting in a spa, justhearing that, you know, that
like calming, serene scent.
So I love what they've done atleast with the sevens and the
nines.
And I'm sure the rest of thetypes are also just

Beth (17:48):
spot on.
It sounds like they're verythoughtful in that.
Well, which, you know, makessense.
That's the whole point of theEnneagram.
But, but yeah, I would totallysign up for the type nine one,
but you know, it's also funbecause when we do EIP Enneagram
internal profile, if you want, like for me as a type nine, if
I'm feeling like I need some ofthat three energy right now,

(18:09):
maybe getting a three candle andputting that scent on to bring
some more productivity andconfidence to the nine part, you
know, you know, like, so you canYou can maybe even use it to
bring yourself into one of like, have the influence of one of the
other types to kind of get yougoing in that area if it's
needed.

Cristy (18:29):
Yeah.
I love that thought.
What a, a coach thing of you.

Beth (18:35):
Right, right.

Cristy (18:36):
Um, and these, the candles are also in these
beautiful boxes.
Um, Patty Wax is a part of a, adesign first company.
The gift, it's as if the box isalready gift wrapped.
So it'll be so fun to pass theseout.
All nines and fives

Beth (18:55):
would love to hear that.
Like, I mean, I don't have tolike gift wrapped.
Now, maybe the fours and thesevens would prefer to like have
a unique gift wrapping.
And you can still do that.
But for us that are more simple, that's awesome.
I'd love to know that.
That's great.
Well, that's awesome.
Well, um, So, um, let's dive inand help our listeners to really
understand kind of how to thinkthrough gift giving by each

(19:20):
type, because typically we givegifts to others that we love the
way we want to give or getgifts.
But that doesn't always land onthe other person very well.
And then we see them when wegive the gift and they're like,
yeah, thanks.
You know, you're like, wait, what I was, you know, giving you
what I want, basically.
Um, you know, like for me as a,as a nine, um, I, We'll give

(19:45):
probably pretty simple, practical gifts because that's
kind of how I would want it, youknow, or I'm just not even
thinking about what I want.
And so here, here's a genericgift card.
So I think it will be reallyhelpful to have us kind of walk
through what each type reallywants, but also to help us to
get unstuck.
I know as a nine, I just want tomake everyone happy.

(20:06):
And again, this gift guide isgoing to be really powerful to
Give me some of these insightsthat I may not naturally have
for my own.
So thank you Christy for justputting it all together

Cristy (20:18):
Yeah, well to get started, um, Beth.
Can you tell us when you areshopping for a type one?
What should you keep in mind?
What are those intangibles?
So what are the desires or thefeelings or the needs that you
should consider to pick out agift?
That's really meaningful to thetype one.

Beth (20:40):
So most ones don't want or appreciate gifts that are just
silly, weird and impracticalsince you know, for them, they
don't really see how it's goingto improve or better their lives
in a practical way.
And they just think it's goingto.
Um, they end up on a shelfcluttering their space, which is
the opposite of what a type oneis desiring.

(21:01):
So, um, it's more thoughtful togive the type one gifts that are
practical and it gives themmaybe an experience that will
enhance their life.
So, for example, um, they enjoygifts, um, That are given to
them that show like appreciationfor their hard work.
Maybe like you give them a tripto the spa or a massage or just

(21:23):
a travel gift card, likesomething that's like, Hey, I've
seen how hard you've worked.
Now, if you put a date on it,that could really throw them
off.
So you don't want to put a dateon it.
Um, you want them to be able toschedule around all their
responsibilities, but to givethem something that allows them
to.
To enjoy the pleasure of theirhard work is really, really

(21:44):
cool.
Um, they also appreciatepractical gifts that improve,
enhance, and transform their dayto day life.
So a thoughtful gift, um, youknow, that will help them to
basically just take their lifequality from where they are to
that next level is reallyimportant.
So Christy, can you share withus some of the more.
tangible gift ideas that we cangive to the type one.

Cristy (22:08):
Yeah.
So throughout the gift guide, wepicked out one main gift, um,
and really dove into why thatprimary gift is going to just
hit the spot with each of thetypes.
And for the type one, we haveselected this high quality,

(22:29):
excellent gift that makes theworld a better place.
So, you know, excellent increation, but also really
improving the world, um, whichwe know our ones are passionate
about doing.
So, the product that we'vechosen is the Clean and
Caffeinated Bundle.
By Humphrey Street.

(22:50):
So Humphrey Street is aNashville local business.
It's a social enterprise andthey have this tagline.
So they, they roast coffee, um,and they have a coffee shop in
town and then they also makesoap.
Oh, but the people making thissoap and roasting the coffee

(23:12):
beans are actually students inSouth Nashville.
So Humphrey Street was born outof a desire to raise up leaders
within the South Nashvilleneighborhood where these
students didn't have theresources.
opportunities before.
So Humphrey Street actuallycreates jobs, provides
mentorship opportunities, andthen teaches job skills that

(23:34):
empower the youth in this area.
It is so incredible.
You know, sometimes you walkinto a coffee shop and it's a
cause driven coffee shop.
I've seen plenty of thosearound, but you know, as a
consumer often that that mightmean the quality is lower.
So you you feel like you'reYou're being charitable when you

(23:56):
visit, and that's okay.
It's like we give thisallowance.
Humphrey Street is not thatcoffee shop.
Humphrey Street still hits thebar.
Like, they are hitting thestandard of your non cause
driven coffee shops and coffeeproducers.
So there's so much excellence inwhat they do.

(24:17):
Um, I just love Humphrey streetso much.
And so our tech ones are goingto love this clean and
caffeinated gift because one, you're hitting their need for
cleanliness, you know, theeverything, there's a place for
everything with the type one.
Disorder is disruptive.
And so you've got that with thesoap in this bundle, but then

(24:42):
there's also a bag of coffeebeans.
And so what type one doesn'twant some caffeine to stay alert
as you're doing

Beth (24:51):
through their day,

Cristy (24:51):
all of the productive things.
Um,

Beth (24:54):
yeah,

Cristy (24:54):
I mean, so many type ones in my life will work a full
day and then they get home andthey work on all of these other
things when they get home.

Beth (25:02):
Um,

Cristy (25:03):
so this caffeine will go a long way there.
And then we have selected acouple of other, uh, gift ideas
as well.
One is a packing cube set fromBaguio.
So, You know, these are thelittle organizers to put inside
your luggage.
And I love thinking about whenthe type one is moving more

(25:26):
towards their seven connection.
So they're out, they're havingfun, they're on vacation, but
they still need order.
So this is going to be such agift to them, uh, with this
packing cube set.
And then another gift we'vepicked out is a matching
cookware set by Carraway.

(25:48):
These are high quality, beautifully produced, um,
cookware that you can actually, they have a lot of storage.
Set up that comes with thecookware set.
So it's easy to, you know, slideit in to any kitchen.
It'll fit perfectly and we'llwork amazing.

Beth (26:10):
Yeah.
Wow.
I love those ideas.
Those are like you said, we're,we're wanting our type ones to,
to move to the healthy side, thehigh side of seven.
Um, Which can be really hard forthem because they have a long
list of responsibilities and alot of times they think, well,
if I moved to seven, that meansI'm going to be child ish and

(26:31):
we're like, Well, maybe at theless healthy part of seven, but
if we're wanting you to go tothe healthy part of seven, it
means that you're childlike, that you're enjoying life, that
you delight in the experiencesof life.
And so yeah, going on anexperience and travel and those,
uh, those cubes or, or cookingsomething on new cookware, like

(26:53):
all of those things can bringthem to that fun enjoyment of
life.
So I love those gifts that youpicked out.

Cristy (26:59):
Thanks.
Yeah.
Well, let's go ahead and move onto the type two.
So Ben, I'd love to hear fromyou again when, when we're going
to shop for the type two, whatare those desires and needs that
we should keep in mind?

Beth (27:14):
Yeah.
So first we've got to rememberthat two's desire to be loved,
wanted, and appreciated sincethey fear not being loved, they
fear being rejected and notwanted.
Okay.
All right.
Or that others don't need them.
And this correlates with theirgift giving and receiving style.
So they are extremely thoughtfulin their gift giving to others.
In fact, twos will spend most ofthe year thinking through gift

(27:38):
ideas.
And they do this by listeningand attuning themselves to what
you say throughout the year.
So if I were to say, um, Oh man, that cookbook looks amazing.
I might get that someday.
And I'm literally just thinkingit, you know, out loud or
something, the type two of mylife has mentally written that
down in their mind and they'reso gifted at this.

(27:59):
This is like a superpower thatthey have.
Um, therefore they desirethoughtful gifts to them.
And they receive it really wellwhen you've been thoughtful, um,
because they're trying to bereally thoughtful to you.
Now, this can be really hard forthe other types because this
isn't our superpower.
I am one of them.

(28:21):
And so.
So a strategy that I wouldrecommend to all of us is to in
your note file on your phone orwherever it could be like a
piece of paper, um, just havegift giving notes and maybe, um,
your type two in particular, butit could be, you know, all the
people in your life that youwant to actually remember gift
giving ideas, but particularlythe two in your life, when you

(28:42):
hear them say, Hey, Like, ohman, that, you know, um, trying
to think of like something theymight, you know, really enjoy.
Um, I'm just trying to get likemy daughter, like she loves to
bake and cook and do lots ofthings that are a blessing to
others.
Like she loves to make likesourdough bread and all this
stuff.
Okay, well maybe I'll give herspecific flour that she uses in

(29:08):
baking that bread that she givesto others because it's, it's
expensive, you know?
So if she were to say somethinglike, you know.
Oh man, the bread I use can getreally expensive, but I love
doing it.
Then I can jot that down.
Like that could be a reallygreat gift giving, um, like a
part of a package, you know, that I can give her several
pounds of flour that is, youknow, expensive for her.

(29:28):
So those are the kinds of thingsthat you want to jot down that
you hear from the type twobecause they will feel like,
wow, you really listened andattuned to me.
Um, now one of the worst giftsthat you can give a type two,
um, unless they explicitly say.
Is some sort of generic likegift card or money because
they're going to feel like youreally didn't think about them

(29:49):
at all or listen to anythingthey said.
And I will raise my hand thatthat probably is something that
I would do as a nine becauseit's like, well, I don't know
what, if I don't know what toget someone, I don't want to.
To try and upset them or get thewrong thing.
So for the nine, it feels thesafest to give money or gift
card.
So this stretches me.

(30:10):
That's why I give that idea ofthe notes.
And try to be mindful of writingdown notes for your type twos
because they'll feel reallyloved.
Um, so what about you, Christy?
What are your thoughts in, um,like, or the things that you've
picked out for the type twos?

Cristy (30:23):
Yeah, I love that, uh, piece of advice.
I think that is so helpful.
Um, I, gosh, I just feel so, uh,empathetic towards type twos.
They're just constantly servingand helping and giving to
everyone.
And I hate for them to not be.
You know, loved or to not feelloved in return as others are

(30:47):
showing that in different waysthan they show it.
And so, um, to, you know, repaythe generosity of the type two,
we have selected a gift By thisamazing social enterprise again,
it's local to Nashville, butthey have a global footprint and
the company is called Able.

(31:10):
Able makes leather goods andclothing and Able is passionate
about empowering the women whowear their products and the
women who make their products.
So they're actually creatingjobs for women around the world.
And they're also really focusedon the entire production
process.
So Abel has worked hard to, youknow, bring some transparency

(31:33):
into production and making surepeople are considered and valued
at every step.
So the specific product thatwe've selected from Abel is the
Mamouye Classic Tote.
is beautiful.
You can carry it everywhere.

(31:56):
Uh, I actually have one ofthese.
I bought it, gosh, probably adecade ago at this point.
And that just goes to show, youknow, able creates these
products that are designed tolast a lifetime.
And mine is still just workingperfectly.
So I can personally attest tothe Mamouye Classic Tote.

(32:18):
And this will empower the typetwo to, you know, go about their
day, solving all of the world'sproblems, helping all of their
friends.
Um, they, this will be their goto bag to carry all of their
essentials.
And then all of the tools.
Well, and

Beth (32:33):
all of the essentials for everyone else.
I mean, truly.
And I'm not just saying thatlike tongue in cheek, like it,
It's, it's true.
Like in a type twos purse, you're going to find lots of
items that others might need.
I as a nine carry my phone thathas a wallet magnet to it.
And that's it.
Yeah.
Like, so it's just, it's so funto think through how the

(32:56):
different types think and areready for different scenarios.
I'm just wanting to be flexibleand like, you know, I don't want
anything to weigh me down to bemultiple and like accommodating.
But for the two, they're reallythinking about others.
And I will say before you tellthe amazing discount on this
one, um, my daughter, when shelooked at the gift guide, she's

(33:16):
our social media manager, LibbyChristensen.
If you see her on Instagram, um,she's a type two.
And when she saw that, um, yougot the, That you got able, um,
to give you a discount.
She was like, Oh my gosh, mom,Abel is amazing.
I love Abel.
And I was like, that's soawesome.
Cause it's for the type too.
So why don't you tell everyonethe amazing discount for this

(33:39):
one?

Cristy (33:40):
Yeah.
Uh, so, well, first off I did, Iskipped something.
I wanted to mention every itemthat Abel produces is actually
named after a woman who helpedbring that product to life.
And that is so powerful.
So when you're shopping the Abelwebsite and you see those names
that may not sound superfamiliar, like each of those

(34:02):
names represent a womansomewhere in the world who is
working hard on these products.
So, so beautiful and such ashowing of appreciation.
for people's hard work.
Um, so again, that just tiesback to, you know, the type two
wants to be appreciated.

(34:22):
And I love that Abel is doingthat with the women who work on
their products.
So back to the discount, um, ourfollowers can get 40 percent off
of Abel items.

Beth (34:35):
That is amazing.
Oh, it's such an amazing, especially When you've had this
bag for 10 years and it's stilllike ready to go.
Awesome.
Amazing to get 40 percent off.
That is amazing.
So thank you Abel for makingthis possible for anyone that is
going to use the coupon code, which is

Cristy (34:55):
the discount code is Enneagram 40.
So just enter Enneagram 40 atcheckout and you should see 40
percent in savings.

Beth (35:05):
Um,

Cristy (35:10):
and then we have a couple of other gifts that we
recommend for the type two andit's funny that you say Libby
loves to bake.
I didn't know that, but I havehad several other twos in my
life who are constantly baking.
Baking and dropping things off.

Beth (35:26):
Like here's just like an insight to the twos.
So as a nine, when she wasgrowing up, you know, we would
have to like, let's say, bringcookies or whatever to the
school function or whatever.
And I'm like, well, let's justgo to the store and pick up a
box of cookies, you know?
And she's like, mom, no, can notdo that.
It has to be from scratch.

(35:46):
Like literally, like I have toput my love into the cookies.
And I'm thinking.
No, we don't, you know, and I'mthinking as a nine, all the mess
now, there's some nights I loveto cook.
So I'm not saying that all ninesare like me.
I'm just thinking the mess, thechaos, you know, can we just
make this simple, you know, whereas she wants to put her

(36:06):
effort and her love and herattention into the actual
process.
Uh, gift that she is presenting.
So yeah, so that is kind of aninsight on twos.

Cristy (36:17):
Yeah.
I remember I, a close friend ofmine used to always make
homemade cinnamon rolls anytimewe would do brunch and we, I was
putting together a brunch lastminute one time and I said, Hey,
Heather, will you, what do youwant to bring?
Because.
Everybody would kind of split upwhat they were bringing, and she
was like, Oh my gosh, I alreadyhave plans.
I don't have six hours to putinto the cinnamon rolls.

(36:40):
And it was so funny, because I'mlike, Heather, you could pick up
fruit.
Like, you want to bringstrawberries?
Like, that's all we need.
Right.
Don't put this burden onyourself.

Beth (36:51):
Right, right.

Cristy (36:53):
Um, so the, uh, the item that we've, uh, selected in
addition to that Abel bag one isa newer cookbook in the market.
It's called what's for dessert, simple recipes for dessert
people, a baking book.
And this is by Claire Saffitz.
I have Claire's first cookbook, and it is the most helpful

(37:17):
cookbook that I've ever had.
She's so thorough.
I don't know what type Claireis.
There's been some speculationabout whether she's a type 1 or
a type 6.
But, um, at the end of the day, this book, Her cookbooks are so
so helpful to anybody in thekitchen.
And then the next, uh, gift werecommend for the type 2 is an

(37:40):
Ember smart mug that actually, you know, controls the
temperature of your coffee oryour tea.
Because it's so easy to envisionone.
I think all moms, it doesn'tmatter what type you are.
All moms can relate to settingdown your coffee and not coming
back to it for hours.

Beth (37:59):
Right.

Cristy (37:59):
But also type twos moms are not, you know, are
definitely going to take a sipand then go.
Think of somebody else for awhile and totally forget to
drink their drink while it'swarm.
So

Beth (38:14):
yeah, that's awesome.
I love that thoughtfulness.
That's amazing.

Cristy (38:16):
Yeah.
Well, let's move on to the typethree.
So, uh, Beth, what can you tellus about the type three?

Beth (38:25):
Okay.
So what we want to rememberabout type threes is they desire
to be valuable, admired, and tokind of be seen as impressive.
So kind of achieving, beingsuccessful because they fear
being worthless, insignificant,or a failure of any kind in the
sight of others.
So.
Um, this will correlate withtheir gift giving and receiving
style.

(38:46):
Now for them, they truly enjoythe finer things of life.
You know, uh, gifts that theylove are impressive.
They're high end.
They can be over the top and youknow, something that others are
going to see and admire.
They also love gifts that willhelp them to achieve their goals
and desires, um, to again, impress others.

(39:06):
So for them, it's a lot about,um, how they can elevate.
Um, who they are to that nextlevel that they desire and that
they see as, um, getting themto, to be a better version of
themselves.
Um, so in fact, you know, theywill tend to give gifts in a way
that they want to be given, youknow, the same kind of gift.

(39:28):
So take a mental note of whatyou see that type three giving
to others.
And realize that they're goingto want something most likely in
that realm or something similar.
So Christy, can you kind ofshare a little bit more of the
gifts that you selected and whyfor the type three?

Cristy (39:45):
Yeah.
So the main gift we selected isat the full focus planner.
So if you want to win the titleof best gift giver in your type
three size, you will give themthis full focus planner.
I use the planner.
I've been using it for a littleover a year.
And the wonderful thing aboutthe planner is it actually helps

(40:07):
you to achieve your goals morequickly and to stay balanced in
the process.
Because it's so easy to get inthat achieving mindset and
sacrifice all of these otherthings that really matter
probably more than the goal.
that you're pursuing, but youknow, you get on that one track
mind and tend to pull away fromsome relationships or self care.

(40:33):
So the Full Focus Planner, uh,actually helps you set annual
goals and then break those goalsdown into quarterly, Weekly and
daily goals.
So it basically guaranteesforward progress on your goals
because you've been able tobreak them down into these bite
sized pieces.
And once you get those goalsonto the page in front of you,

(40:56):
you can see if maybe you've beena little too lofty and given
yourself 20 goals to pursue onthe year instead of something
doable like this.
You know, eight to 10 that arescattered throughout the year.
So I love that, you know, fullfocus helps achievers achieve
more while doing less.

(41:18):
So, you know, the idea ofworking smarter, not harder, not
longer.
Um, so, and,

Beth (41:24):
The company, the founder is a, an incredible type three
and the, I would say, I mean, obviously the full focus planner
was designed with the input oflots of team members.
So lots of different types, cause we know them.
We worked, we both worked forthe company, uh, before you're
an ingram coach.

(41:44):
But what I love is that for thethree in particular, like you
said, they can, um, getthemselves too busy and.
Two in the weeds of focusing onwork only and what full focus
does is they help balance thework life Balance.
Yeah And this full focus planneractually does that for them.

(42:07):
And so I think it's such a greattool for the threes to
accomplish and achieve what theydesire, but also to balance it
out with the fullness of life.

Cristy (42:16):
Yeah, absolutely.
It, because it does, it promptsyou to think about relationship
goals and recreational goals.
And so that is just such a gift,um, to be able to pursue goals
without sacrificing the peopleand the activities that you love
the most.
So Full Focus is a friend ofours.

(42:38):
We love the people who workthere, love their mission.

Beth (42:42):
High quality.
Yes.

Cristy (42:43):
And they have also given a discount code for us to share
with our listeners.
So you can get 10 percent offthe full focus planner by using
the code Beth10.
And

Beth (42:58):
then I'll Well, and I I would also say, even though this
is really a great gift forthrees, it like you're a seven,
you know, and you use it and youuse it in a way that probably
helps the seven to stay focusedand like on task for me as a
nine, I can get scattered andmeander.
And so the full focus plannerhelps me to go, Oh, there's the

(43:20):
big three.
I need to be focusing on todayor this week.
You know, it helps me to dial ininstead of feeling overwhelmed.
So it really They've been sogood at thinking through, how is
this beneficial for anyone?

Cristy (43:32):
Yes,

Beth (43:33):
but we're highlighting the type three because we, we know
that type threes really love agood planner and this is top,
top notch.
Yes,

Cristy (43:41):
absolutely.
Yeah.
When I first started using it, Istarted buying it for everybody.
That everybody in my life, mymom's a type nine, I'm type
seven, my husband's type seven,my sister's a three and my other
sister's a two.
Really all of us, um,appreciated the clarity that we
had on a daily basis from this, the full focus system.

Beth (44:04):
What other gifts do you have for the threes?

Cristy (44:06):
Uh, we're also recommending the, um, the Kindle
paper white, because you know, the type three has a reading
goal that they're going to tryto accomplish in the new year.
So the paper white will helpthem achieve that.
And then, uh, we're recommendinga, this is a.
a company called Great Jones, which again, we'll talk about

(44:26):
Great Jones a little bit later, but they have a loaf pan for,
you know, baking banana bread,whatever.
And the loaf pan is actuallycalled the bread winner.
So it just felt too perfect.
We had to throw that in for thetype three.

Beth (44:45):
Oh, I love that.
That is awesome.
Very, very thoughtful.

Cristy (44:49):
All right.
And moving on to the type four.
Um, what can you tell us to keepin mind when we're shopping for
the type fours in our lives?

Beth (44:57):
Yeah.
So the type four is we need toremember that they desire to be
significant and their mostauthentic self.
So they can express themselveslike in their most full and
unique way because they fearbeing common, ordinary, and
unable to be their full selves, like being emotionally Um, uh,
shut down, not being able toexpress themselves and all of

(45:17):
this is going to correlate withtheir gift giving and receiving
style.
So we want to be sure that whenwe're giving a gift to a four,
that is not something thateveryone else can get out there.
So like going to the big boxstores out there, that's just
not going to cut it.
They really love thoughtful, oneof a kind gifts that no one else
has out there.
So anything, um, that can setthem apart.

(45:39):
And that really correlates withtheir desires, their unique
style, who they authenticallyare, their passions, all of that
is going to feel really highvalue to them.
So again, avoid, you know, giftsthat might be just very
practical, impersonable, Um,maybe over the top flashy of
four is just really wantinggifts that truly represent who

(46:02):
they are.
And a lot of times for us feelmisunderstood.
So when you can dial it in andgive them a gift that really
reflects who they are, they'regoing to feel understood and
seen.
And that's so important forthem.
So what would you share?
Um, or I'm sorry, what, what didyou pick out?
Uniquely for the type fours.

Cristy (46:23):
Yeah, we chose the, um, a particular piece of art from
Lindsay letters.
But as you're saying about thetype four, wanting something
unique, you know, I encouragepeople to look all over
Lindsay's site and pick outwhichever particular piece of
artwork reminds them of theirtype four friends, but the one

(46:43):
we've chosen.
Celebrates a wide range ofemotions.
There are so many, you know, hundreds of hues and shifting
textures.
And so this artwork, it's calledFairy Garden.
And so it's easy to imagine ourtype four friends putting this
on the wall in their office orin their bedroom.

(47:04):
And those colors can inspire awhole new wave of emotions.
of imagination.
And there's this feeling whenyou look at the piece of
moodiness, there are some, youknow, darker hues, but then
there's also this light over thetop.
And so that feels like such a, abeautiful celebration of the
type fours in our lives who cango into the, the depths and the

(47:28):
darkness, but also bring suchamazing joy.
So, you know, Lindsay, we, wetalked about her a little bit
earlier, and she just believeseverybody is worthy of
meaningful art.
And part of her story is thatshe has, you know, struggled
with anxiety.
And so she has personallyexperienced the benefits of

(47:49):
having art around her in heroffice Or in her home that helps
her emotionally and helps her,you know, free herself of that
anxiety and just feel better.
So that's why we've chosenLindsay art by Lindsay letters.

(48:10):
Um, we also have selected acouple of other gifts.
So one of those is a lighttherapy light.
I have not used one of these, but I have, I have, you have,
they

Beth (48:21):
are amazing.
Oh, they're amazing.
Yes.
Cause I have.
Yeah.
My dad has it.
They are amazing.
You use it for like 10, 15, 20minutes a day, you know, when
you're just kind of gettingready and you have it kind of,
And it really, really helps, uh,with mood for sure.

Cristy (48:41):
I have looked into them so many times because my husband
has seasonal affective disorder.
And, um, so I'll have to askyou, uh, more about the one that
you use.
We have selected the one by Lumeand it just looks so beautiful.
Um, so it's easy to imagineagain, the type four, especially
in the winter time.

Beth (49:02):
Yes.
I love me

Cristy (49:03):
feeling those strong.
Deep kind of sad emotions andthen this light helping pick
them up.
And then we also selected, uh, aPolaroid camera because, I

Beth (49:14):
love that.

Cristy (49:15):
You know, the Type Fours are constantly seeing things as
art that others might miss asart.
And so, having that thing.
Camera there where they can takea picture and create and take it

Beth (49:25):
uniquely.
Yeah.
I mean, it's just, it's just afun, like whimsical, most people
don't have the Polaroidsanymore.
So I'd love that gift idea.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Well, okay.
So let's get into type.
Five.
Um, so the type fives, we wantto remember that they desire to
be competent, knowledgeable andcapable because they fear being

(49:45):
incapable, ignorant, and alsohaving all of their energy
reserves that are insidecompletely depleted.
And so that will all correlateto their gift giving and
receiving style.
So for the type fives, um,you'd, They don't really
appreciate kind of the useless, flashy, and superfluous gifts

(50:06):
out there.
They love gifts that arepractical, that will enable them
to enhance their knowledge and,uh, to master maybe a skill set
that they desire.
And all of that is reallyimportant for them when they're
receiving gifts.
So you can't go wrong givingthem anything that's going to
increase their knowledge andsomething they're passionate
about.
The best technology gadget outthere for what they're

(50:30):
passionate about.
And basically what I would justsay is ask, ask your type fives,
what they want because theydon't like surprises and they
really will research, like, let's say they want, um, a knife
set.
Okay.
Cause they are into cooking.
They're going to select.
The specific knife set thatworks for them, and they are

(50:52):
going to research it and they'regoing to know.
So you just going out and likegrabbing a knife set might just
not be exactly what they'rewanting and needing.
And so asking them actually isthe best gift to them saying,
Hey, I want to give you a giftin your passion of such and
such.
Can you tell me what that onespecial gift would be in that

(51:12):
category?
And if you need to give them abudget, that's fine.
Um, but that will really be.
beneficial for you and them tojust ask.
Now that sounds like for likethe type twos or others out
there, like, oh, but I want tosurprise them.
I know like for you as a typeseven, I want to surprise them.
It's surprising to them thatyou're asking, right?
Cause they didn't know that youwere going to give it to them,
but it's also honoring who theyare in giving The time and the

(51:36):
space to research and to dial inexactly what they want.
So what are the gifts that youselected for the type fives?
Yeah.

Cristy (51:43):
Well, it's funny as you're talking, I am picturing.
We have some friends who are acouple, that's a type two and a
type five.
And I have heard from the typetwo, like, ah, he just wants
boring stuff.
Like.
It's not fun to give giftsbecause I just have to get this
very practical thing that's notreally a gift.
That's like, that's a thing thatyou buy because you need it.

Beth (52:06):
Yep.
So,

Cristy (52:07):
so funny.
Great advice.
That would work.
The advice you just gave isgreat.
It's great for that couple.
Um, so the, the gift that wehave picked out for the type
five is designed to protecttheir energy because you know,
the type fives, Oh, at thebeginning of the day, they are
already functioning with so muchless energy than everyone around

(52:28):
them.
And they're forced to kind oftake on this self preservation
approach as they think about theday.
So we have selected over earnoise canceling headphones by
Meats.
And this is really a gift foreveryone, because, I mean, I'm
thinking of myself as a sevenwhen I'm saying this.

(52:51):
Because it's going to enable thefive to be a little more
present.
You know, they can rechargewithout moving into full
isolation mode.
So, when you have a bunch ofpeople together over the
holidays, your type five canhave these headphones near them,
and when they feel their energydepleting, they can just put

(53:12):
those headphones on and have alittle time to themselves.
And also those headphones serveas a signal to everyone around
them.
Like, hey, I need a little bitof space right now.
And, and I'll be back.
I'll be present eventually, butI just need some time.

Beth (53:28):
Well, I will say a plug for the nines too.
So there has been a lot of timesI've had to work on projects and
stuff that spills into lateevenings, but I want to be with
the family, but I have to beworking.
I don't want to be by myself.
So I'll put in noise cancelingheadphones in the living room
and my family knows and like weall appreciate that we get to be

(53:50):
together and you know, I cantake breaks here and there.
So even for nines, that's agreat gift too.
So I love that thoughtfulness ofthat.

Cristy (53:59):
So, uh, to continue for the five, uh, we also picked out
a couple of things to engagetheir bodies.
So, like, a puzzle and a candlemaking kit because our fives do
tend to be, you know, socerebral and doing repressed.
So, anything that helps themengage their body a little bit
more can ultimately be reallyhelpful in a form of self care.

(54:22):
for them.
Right.
So let's move on to the type sixand I've got

Beth (54:28):
lots of sixes in my life.
So yeah, what we want to bemindful is that they desire to
be loyal, secure, and supported.
By those that they trust, uh,because they fear being unsafe.
They fear being in trouble andabandoned, which all correlates
with their gift giving andreceiving style.
So six is love gifts that showthat they're loyal or that they

(54:52):
have an affiliation with a groupor a team or a brand.
So, you know, if you're, youknow, Um, you know, personally,
you love, like my husband lovessolo stoves, everything's solo
stove.
Now we're looking at the pizzasolo stove, you know, cook
pizzas.
Um, you know, so they reallyenjoy, um, the brands that
they're loyal to or their teamsthat they're loyal to.

(55:13):
So keep that in the back of yourmind.
Um, and they really do lovepractical gifts that help them
to become more skilled andconfident because they struggle
with self doubt.
Um, And so that can be somethingto also consider.
But if you have a six in yourlife, that's more phobic six.
So, um, they feel theiranxieties and succumb to them
more than you might want morepractical gifts that bring a

(55:34):
sense of security, safety, andthe feeling of that secure,
loyal, kind.
community around them.
They can really appreciate that.
But if your six leans moretowards the counterphobic side,
and this is the sixes thatwhether they know it or not,
they're feeling anxious, butthey move headlong into it.
Like, nope, it's not gonna getme.

(55:55):
So these types of sixes enjoymore outrageous, funny, and
entertaining gifts that enablethem to experience the fullness
of life.
Um, And I know my husband's thatway, and we have several team
members that they're, they justlove practical, silly gifts.
Um, and so that, that would beon that side of the spectrum,
whereas my mom is on the other, and she wouldn't appreciate any

(56:16):
practical gag gifts of any kind.
So just be mindful of what typeof six is out there.
But overall, anything that showsloyalty, commitment, that, um,
shows security and warranth isgoing to be very helpful.
So what did you pick out for thesixes?

Cristy (56:30):
Yeah, we selected a gift, um, that celebrates the
strong bond between the type sixand their pet, because I think
about so many sixes in my lifeand they They love their dog or
their cat, and that serves as,you know, just a loyal companion

(56:51):
for them.
Um, so we have selected someaccessories from Wild One.
Wild One is this, uh, Trendybrand, um, producing really
beautiful pet essentials.
So some of the thinking aroundthis is that, you know, type
sixes are so dutiful and, andthey will, they're going to walk

(57:15):
that dog.
They're going to show up forpeople and they have that strong
sense of duty.
But at the same time, man, thereis such a playfulness.
That comes with type sixes, andI love that about the people on
our team who are sixes.

Beth (57:33):
I'm

Cristy (57:33):
always going to laugh.
They're going to get everythingdone.
I know they're so trustworthy, but they're also going to make
me laugh while they're doing it.
Yeah, no.
These accessories by Wild Oneare fun and functional.
So that kind of combination ofsixes.
Another amazing thing about thisbrand is that they actually

(57:54):
partner with animal rescuesaround the U S to save a dog a
day.
So they're all about providing asafe space, um, for dogs
throughout the U S and who canappreciate a safe space more
than a type six.

Beth (58:09):
Absolutely.

Cristy (58:10):
So a couple of other gifts we recommend for your
sixes, especially if, you know, they are not pet lovers are the,
um, the Murley denim jacket fromAbel.
So this is a jacket that goeswith Everything.
I'm always there in a pinch whenyou need a jacket before you

(58:31):
walk out the door.
And then the other gift idea isa bedroom air purifier.
So you can go ahead and, youknow, breathe easy in your
bedroom or your office space orwherever.

Beth (58:44):
Absolutely.
All right, so we're going tohead to your type, type sevens,
and When we're thinking abouttype sevens and gift giving, we
want to remember that theydesire to be free to experience
life to the full and to find,uh, full contentment in, in
their life.
So they do this because theyfear being trapped in emotional
pain.

(59:04):
They fear boredom and missingout on something fun.
And that all correlates to theirgift giving and receiving
styles.
So type seven.
Um, sevens love gifts that arefun, whimsical and experiential.
So something that they can do,they love being surprised and
given a gift that they wouldthoroughly enjoy, but never
thought of it themselves.

(59:24):
So just at the surprise of aseven and the newness is really,
really great for the seven.
So kind of the opposite of whatwe talked about with fives, um,
sevens are less interested inthis.
And.
Like practical self improvementgifts, and they desire gifts
that will bring them joy anddelight at the core of who they
are.
Um, so if you're going to give agift, maybe make it an

(59:47):
experience that's fun.
And they also love to do funthings with people.
So it's not just about doing afun experience by themselves.
So it's always like with acompanion.
So think about that, but whatare the gifts that you set aside
for sevens?

Cristy (01:00:02):
You just nailed it.
Your description.
I'm like, yes, that's that'swhat I want.
Everything you described.
Um, so we have picked out, um,the starting lineup.
It's called the starting lineupby Great Jones.
This is three pieces ofbakeware.
So, you know, the type seven isalways on the lookout for tools

(01:00:25):
that bring a little extra.
To the everyday.
And Great Jones as a brand isall about helping you make the
kitchen your happy place.
So there's so much Seven Energyin what they do.
They have brightly coloredbakeware.
Uh, they have punny producttitles.

(01:00:46):
So that, you know, Great Jonesis the brand that produces the
bread winner we discussedearlier.
Yeah, right.
And they have playlists on theirwebsite to pair with your
favorite pasta.
So they are turning this, uh,You know, this tool to do a
chore, what feels like a choresometimes cooking or baking and

(01:01:07):
transforming it into anexperience.

Beth (01:01:10):
So

Cristy (01:01:11):
this is awesome.
Just perfect for a type seven.
I own some great Jones toolsbecause of this, you know,
experiential aspect to aproduct.

Beth (01:01:22):
And then, and you're absolutely right.
Sevens hate the mundane tasksand we do have to cook and eat.
Why not make it fun, right?
And that's exactly what anyonethat's married or in a
relationship with a seven makethe mundane fun No matter what
it is, and you'll see themreally shine.
So, okay.
What were the other gifts thatyou picked?

Cristy (01:01:41):
Yeah, we picked out pickleball paddles, you know
pickleball All the rage.
And, um, so again, that, likeyou were talking about adventure
experience, something to do withothers.
Um, those paddles will help themwith that.
And then lifestyle passports byLetterfolk.
So Letterfolk.

(01:02:01):
Produces all of these cutelittle passports that will be
for coffee shops or trips ormuseums.
And so you can actually, youknow, ride in your experience
with different types of roaststhat you've had with coffee or
pencil in all of your trips tonational parks.

(01:02:24):
So a really fun log of all ofyour adventures.

Beth (01:02:27):
That's so cool.
I love that idea.
Okay, so let's dive into eightand then we'll have nine.
So everyone hang in there.
We're almost, uh, to the amazingtype nines.
I know all the nights are like, but what about me?
We're almost there.
Okay.
So type eights.
We want to remember that theydesire To be able to assert
themselves and protectthemselves from being controlled

(01:02:49):
harmed, uh, because they reallyfear being manipulated and
challenged and losing theirautonomy.
And that all correlates withtheir gift giving and receiving
style.
So the type aids, what we wantto know and remember also is
that they have a very tenderheart behind their strong
exterior.
And they love gifts that areextremely thoughtful and show

(01:03:11):
them.
Um, that you see that vulnerabletender side and how much it
means to you, that, that reallywarms their heart.
Um, because a lot of timespeople are just reflecting back
to them, how strong they are, orhow tough they are, or how maybe
blunt they are, but to see pastthat and their tenderness and
what's really going on means alot to them.

(01:03:32):
But, um, we also want.
You know, to realize that, um,they also love being spoiled.
They love the finer things inlife.
Uh, don't worry about going toobig.
Um, over the top gifts arewelcome and experiences are
welcome.
So they love to travel.
So it may be a travel gift.
Gift card or an experience, um,really means a lot to them.

(01:03:54):
They, they are the types that,um, can do a lot and experience
a lot.
They're very body conscious inthe sense of like, they don't
want to just sit around.
So something that they can doand experience to the full means
a lot to them.
Um, but nothing generic, mundane, or insignificant.
They want it big and they wantit.
Wow.
So just keep that in mind.

(01:04:15):
Christy, what did you pick outfor the eights?

Cristy (01:04:17):
We have picked out the beast blender.
So this is a particular type ofblender.
Um, it released, I don't know, ayear, 18 months ago, and it has
been all the rage ever since.
Such a, uh, flashy name for it.
And the thinking here is that, you know, the Type 8 is the

(01:04:38):
snowplow.
You always talk about that.
They are paving the way forothers.
And they have so much energy andthis, uh, kind of aggression
towards life, but at the sametime they need to be refueling.
And so to give this gift is tohelp them stay healthy and
hydrated as they're doing all ofthis amazing work for all of the

(01:05:01):
other types.
Yep.
Um, and I just love the name ofit because I think every type
eight in my life would say, yeah, I'm a beast like in the
best possible way.
Um, absolutely.
So this.
This just fits perfectly foryour type eights.
Um, and then a couple of othergift ideas are, uh, a punching

(01:05:21):
bag and boxing gloves becausethey do have a lot of energy to
expend and they do want to fightsomebody sometimes.

Beth (01:05:28):
Yeah.
Well, and yeah, sometimes it'snot even that they want to
fight.
But they have this energy andthis passion that they want to
get out.
And that would literally be agreat idea.
Like just to exert that strongpassion, um, through that means,
or ask them if there's anotherway that they physically want to

(01:05:50):
exert their energy, maybe theywant to run and they want like
the best running shoes, but I, Ido agree.
Uh, uh, Um, what did you callit?
Punchy bag would be really idealfor a lot of eights for sure.

Cristy (01:06:04):
I

Beth (01:06:04):
know my eight wing feels like that at this point.

Cristy (01:06:07):
And then we also, um, are suggesting like a high end
robe, uh, because they do, theyneed some self care and, yeah.
So this can go a long way withhelping them refuel and get
refreshed and then go back outwith all of that beast energy.

Beth (01:06:26):
Exactly.
Yeah.
And they do need to learn how todial it back.
So that robe would be perfect.
All right.
Last but not least, my typenines.
And we need to remember thatthey, uh, desire inner stability
and peace of mind and harmonywith everyone that's around them
because they fear conflict, tension, and making others
unhappy, which all correlateswith how they give gifts and

(01:06:49):
receive gifts.
So, um, now you can never gowrong with giving your type
nine, something that enablesthem to feel cozy, comfortable,
and relaxed.
Bye.
Love being cozy and comfortableall the time.
Um, if you saw where I worked,I'm either in a couch, uh,
outdoor patio chair, or arecliner in my bedroom, all

(01:07:12):
overlooking the beautifulTennessee Hills.
Like don't put me in a desk in aroom without windows, which is
actually our studio here.
It's fine for just podcasts, butI'm not going to stay in here
and do work.
So anything cozy, comfortable,beautiful nines.
Love that.
Um, they also love anything thatis going to help them to feel
connected with others in apeaceful, um, not like exuberant

(01:07:37):
outlandish way, but a verypeaceful way.
But remember that nines don'tlike to rock the boat or cause
others to go out of their way togive them a gift.
So.
For that reason, they're usuallynot going to ask for big gifts
and they're going to want tokeep it simple.
In fact, most nines haven't evengiven themselves the time or the
permission to even know whatthey want.

(01:08:00):
Because deep down they feel likeit's like being selfish or
prideful or overthinkingthemselves and what are others
gonna think and others gonnahave to spend money on them
because ultimately we think thatway.
We don't matter, we're not thatimportant, or we don't want
others to have to go out oftheir way.
But if you desire to give yourtype 9 a special gift that is
specific to their passions anddesires, then you're gonna need

(01:08:22):
to do a few things.
And this is where you're gonnaneed to ask them months ahead of
time to start thinking aboutwhat they would enjoy.
And you're probably thinkingmonths, Yes, months, you need to
give them a deadline and like, just let them know, Hey, I
really want to honor you andgive you a gift.
And I want to know by this time, because I'm going to need to be

(01:08:44):
able to order it and get itshipped and get it to me.
So I need to know by this time.
And here's the thing.
You can't let them squirm out ofit or ignore it.
They might, at first, you know, they're going to feel like, no,
no, no.
And then, and then they mightsuccumb and say, okay, but
you're going to have to holdthem to it.
Cause they're going to ignore itand forget about it, hoping that
you're going to forget about it.
But instead you want them toknow how much you desire to

(01:09:08):
truly give them somethingmeaningful that impacts their
lives.
So encourage them gently andsoftly, but also be adamant that
this is something that's reallyimportant to you, to know what
they want and what they desireand that you're giving them
plenty of time to do it.
Um, so to help them overcomecertain hurdles, because lines

(01:09:29):
are going to have a lot ofhurdles in this one, they won't
know right away, usually, orit's just hard for them to
assert themselves and say, well,But they're going to really be
tripped up on the budget becausemaybe they want something that's
50 and they don't know, are youonly wanting to spend 10, you
know, or you want to spend 200,but they're only going to tell
you the 10 item.
So give them a range, a budgetrange of what you're thinking,

(01:09:51):
and that will free them up toreally focus in on that range,
um, so that they know exactlywhat won't disrupt, um, you
know, like rock the boat.
But most importantly, when theydo tell you what it is that they
would enjoy, be so excited forthem.
Thank them for taking the timeto really think through it and
to share it with you.
Um, and just to be proud of themfor just really going there.

(01:10:14):
Cause this, I know for the restof the types are like, how's
this so hard?
You know, I know it for you as aseven, you're probably like, I
can give you thousands of thingsthat I would enjoy.
But for the nine, it feelsreally good.
Disruptive to the relationship.
And so setting up these thingsand over helping them to
overcome these hurdles would beso important.
So with that in mind, Christie, what are the gifts that you have

(01:10:37):
picked for them?

Cristy (01:10:38):
Yeah, the top gift that we have selected is a photo
calendar.
by Artifact Uprising.
I love Artifact Uprising.
I do photo books of, I have awedding photo book.
We do travel photo books everytime we go on a big adventure.
So the quality is going to beamazing.

(01:10:59):
And this photo calendar will bereally meaningful because, you
know, at the end of the day, theType 9 just wants everybody to
be happy.
But, We can't actually give thatas a gift.
That's not realistic to ensureeverybody's happy in the room.
So since you can't buy that, that give the next best thing,

(01:11:19):
which is this photo collectionof warm memories with the type
nine and their closest people.

Beth (01:11:28):
And.

Cristy (01:11:28):
As you're, you know, populating this photo calendar,
it may be difficult to findpictures that the nine is
actually in because so often thetype nine is the one taking the
photo, but no matter what, donot put together a photo
calendar that leaves out thetype nine, like they need to be

(01:11:49):
in several of these photosbecause you want to make sure
that they know their presence isIt is so important.
So the photo calendar will, uh,really help them just feel so
loved and so comforted everytime they look at that picture
of, you know, good times withfriends and family,

Beth (01:12:10):
right?

Cristy (01:12:11):
And then we have a couple of other recommendations.
One is.
The ultra mini portableprojector from Kodak.
So the idea behind this is that,uh, the type nine will be able
to create special moments fromanywhere.
It's so portable.
You can set up a spontaneousmovie night and be cuddling up

(01:12:31):
with, you know, all of yourclosest people and have this
great experience without havingto exert too, too much energy.
So it can still be thisadventure, but not one that
requires too much energy out ofyou.
And then the other, uh, giftidea is the Breeze Comforter by
Buffy.
Um, I have one of these.

(01:12:52):
It feels like you're laying on acloud or covered up by a cloud.
And this comforter, it makes methink about that reel that Libby
did several months ago.
It was when you can't find atype nine and then she zooms in
and you're like, You're on thecouch covered up in covers and
just all snuggled in.

(01:13:15):
And, uh, so this comforter, uh,is amazing for that sort of
thing.

Beth (01:13:20):
That sounds amazing.
Yeah.
One of the best gifts I got wassomething very similar to that.
Um, well, thank you so much forjust putting all of these gifts
together, but I also want peopleto know that in the gift guide,
there are even more gift ideas, which For families and kids,
stocking stuffers.
Um, so be sure to check outeverything in the gift guide,

(01:13:41):
which is at your Enneagramcoach.
com forward slash gift dashguide.
Again, Chrissy, you and Jane andyour sister, Kelsey put together
an amazing, beautiful giftguide.
That I am so appreciative.
And I know everyone that'slistening that goes and looks at
it.
They're also going to appreciatewhat you did for them.
