(00:00):
Sport is a way to better understand who you are and who
you're becoming. We guide you through what it
takes to elevate your game and navigate the path to the next
level in youth sports. I feel like we've been talking
about this very day since we talked two years ago on the
phone. That conversation, there's so

(00:21):
much electricity, so I love thatconversation.
So why coach for? You I genuinely love seeing
these kids, the light bulb go onin the back of their brain when
that light bulb and that sparklein their eye goes it's the best.
Like, I love it. Support, then challenge.
Support and challenge. Knowing which role to inhabit is

(00:43):
really important. So on the car ride home, what
are you trying to hydrate? What are you trying to nurse?
To me, it's about the team. My first level of business is
always this is not about my kids.
We owe it to our families that it's about the team and the
collective whole. What you do at the end of
practices is brilliant. So coaches gather all the kids
in and then you gather the parents right behind.

(01:05):
I'm telling it, it's a game changer practice.
It's unbelievable because you have just short handed the
overwhelming task of kid trying to translate what just happened
for two hours to an adult. That practice is radical.
We'll uncover how to build the foundation where every young
athlete thrives, not just physically, but emotionally too.

(01:25):
Because in youth sports, it's not just about winning, it's
about growing stronger.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
