Speaker 1 (00:00):
How are you, mister wheat Trow.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm fantastic.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Pets Tuesday Tuesday, And you're fantastic despite that act that
oil prices are rising. You're fantastic because what are you
running to work every day or riding your bike every day?

Speaker 1 (00:17):
What's going on here? Why are you so fantastic?

Speaker 4 (00:22):
I'm fantastic because it has gone up, it's come.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Down a little bit.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Yes, we're kind of bouncing around, but it's.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Kind of hit that area. We hope, Yeah, I can't
tell you for sure, but we hope is you know,
settling and then hopefully coming down. And that's what we've
been seeing lately. And I know the news isn't the
best out. They're not getting an agreement and yet trying
to shake things up. But we didn't take a big.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Spike, right you know.

Speaker 4 (00:44):
The President said, hey, we might.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
You know, start hitting them again.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
So I like that well.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
And the President also said, and I haven't seen anything yet,
although there are a couple of Congress people who have
agreed think about five that we should remove, at least
temporarily the federal gas tasks, which would bring it down
I think like twenty to thirty some cents somewhere along

(01:10):
I know, in that market, and that could help a
little bit. I mean, you know, take it down from
whatever it is at three ninety nine to you know
three something. In some states they're paying more than four
dollars already, you know, four ninety nine or something like that.
So and diesel is way too high. So we'll see. Yeah,

(01:31):
So what happened yesterday because I know some stocks went up.
We actually set some new records yesterday with the stock market.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
The S and P five hundred pros hit sixteen new records.
You know, it could go up, It could go.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Up a point and set a new record. But yeah,
the Dow Industris yesterday was up ninety five point three
one points, which is point one nine of a percent.
I'll give you a year to date on that. I
was up three point four to one year to date.
As of yesterday, the S and P five hundred was
up thirteen point nine one, which is point one nine

(02:05):
of a percent. It's here to date is at eight
point twenty nine.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
The NAZAC up twenty seven point zero five points, which
is only point one zero percent. It's here to date
is up thirteen point oh five. So even though we're
bounced around, our economy seems to be doing well. Out
of the S and P five hundred, we've had a
lot of companies come out with their earnings four out
of five or beating expectations.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
So we're having, you know.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Good reporting season coming out. I think, you know, good
things are happening once we open that hood I always
talk about. But we're all caught up on the the
Iran situation, which is very important. I mean I understand
what we're caught up on it because we're all looking
at when we go to.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
The gas pump, and I do the same thing, so
I feel the pain just as.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Much as everyone else. But Mosaic Stack fell yesterday one
point eight percent, and Doward General fell as well at
seven point six percent. Really is interesting, But we know
the ones when gas prices go up. We always talk
about Royal Caribbean or any of the cruise lines.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
It was down four point three yesterday and Southwest.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Was down three point two. But Fox climbed seven point
sixty box Broadcressing can't climb seven point six percent, which
was very interesting.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
These are homes us sold thirty four percent. Wow, that
was because Dream finders Homes.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Offered to buy it. This one I could swallow bit more.
It's not in the billion spread. It's only seven hundred
and four million. Usually we're saying, oh, we're buying us.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
We're billions of dollars.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
We'd show that.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Around like it's candy anymore. But we also had the
tech stocks coming up yesterday. Navidi was up two percent,
Micron Technologies was up six point five. So that helps
the overall market come up because these companies are really,
really big.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
We'll have to watch today because I just saw a
headline come through before I answered the phone for the
New York Times that the eBay and GameStop deal that
they were talking about has fallen through, at least for
the time being.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Apparently it wasn't enough money.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
And that one was in the billions of dollars, you know,
So we'll see how that shakes out today. Are we
nearing the end of the earnings reports season? At this
point they seem to be trickling in a little bit
more slowly.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
A lot of big companies are still coming out. We
just don't have as many big names, but we have,
like today we have Estrazonica coming out under Armour Okla
Anderson Group, which we know that name. They're coming out
that's coming out after the bell today on the economic
calendar today though on Tuesday, we have the CPI coming
out today bred so we're gonna get a measurement on

(04:47):
some inflation and that'll give us kind of where we're at,
what the guests of guess Lien and the diesel prices
have really Cause we have optimism report coming out today's
I'll be interesting. And then tomorrow we have the PPI
coming out.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
So get a good look at inflation.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
All right.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
I'm just holding my breath till it all blows over
at this point. And the President is heading to China
and he's taking and he's taking some big tech guys
with him, which could bode either well for us or
poorly for us, depending on what those big tech guys
want and what kind of deals they're going to strike

(05:28):
while they're over in China.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
So it'll be interesting to see.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
And and like you said, we're still following the story
any round. The Straight of hor Moves is still not open.
There's there are threats back and forth, and so we're
still waiting. There's hundreds of ships just sitting there. And
one of the things I don't understand is why someone

(05:52):
like the old Red Cross ships they used there used
to be, and I'm sure they're still out there, the
USS hope or whatever it's called, just go get those
crews off of there, or get them food or medical
or whatever else they need, because they're sitting out there
in the middle of nowhere for what ten weeks now,

(06:12):
you know it's been ten weeks going on. So well,
we'll keep an eye on that and tomorrow tomorrow's we
trow Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yes, I hope you're ready for it. I guess we'll
always ready.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
I guess we'll find out tomorrow if you need to
reach Tim before then four one nine eight two four
thirty three hundred Tim w at we Trail Advisors dot com,
