Speaker 1 (00:00):
How are you, mister Wheetrow.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'm fantastic. We're going into a three day weekend. It's
Friday too, everybody.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Do you have any runs scheduled for this weekend or
and then the holiday runs going on.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I don't have any holiday runs scheduled, just regular training,
so it's my normal runs, a relaxing weekend, all right.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Now, when you're out there running around in your fancy
little fancy boys shorts, I'm just curious, all right. Bruce
doesn't want to know, but I want to know. Are
you running through all the stock numbers and the ups
and downs and the crude oil prices and video and
(00:42):
all that stuff? Or do you just zone out? Is
it like wind therapy like when I get on my motorcycle.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Absolutely not. When I'm raiding my mind or when I'm running,
my mind is going over all kinds of things, dam
calculating like my distances, doing numbers, and it's really weird.
But yes, I think a lot when I'm running. Yeah,
me too, me. That's why I enjoy doing it.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
It's a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
So US stocks edge a little higher yesterday. It's been
a roller coaster all week long. H there was a
u turn for oil prices. They got up to one
hundred and nine at one point, they backed off to
one hundred and two something by the end of the day.
Tell me what's going on. Get me up to guard here.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, your oil was your roller coaster yesterday and you
just mentioned it got to hit up to one o
nine and at one oh two. It's currently sitting at
one hundred and five. And we're talking about brint. The
oil is at ninety eight forty two brands at one
hundred and five dollars. Diesel came down a cent, you know,
going into holiday week and it's now five dollars and
sixty four cents. But with all that going on, we
(01:45):
also had something Before I give you the numbers here,
let's look what else is going on. The initial jobless claims,
which we're not hearing a lot about. It wasn't two
hundred and eleven thousand. They were expecting two hundred and twelve.
They're expected it to go up. It came in at
two hundred and nine ah initial job was claimed, so
a very good number housing starts. They were expecting one
hundred one point four to two million. It came in
(02:07):
at one point four to seven. That's a good sign.
Building permits expecting one point three nine million, it came
in at one point four four million. That's a good sign.
Now the federal Philadelphia manufacturing number came in light expecting
nineteen came in a negative point four. That's your only
light one. US services still about fifty fifty point nine.
(02:29):
I like that flash manufacturing above fifty up to fifty
five point three. So we had some good things going
on there, which they're anticipating. Hopefully the wars go slow
down two. So here we are with a lot of
good earnings, but people are forecasting afterwards for some of
the companies, which we'll get into. But the Dow ended
the day at up two hundred and seventy six points,
(02:50):
which is point five to five percent. For the five days,
it's still up point four four s and p five hundred.
Yesterday up twelve point seventy five points, which is point
one seven. For the week, it's a negative point seven
to four, and the NASDAK up yesterday twenty two point
seven four points, which is point oh nine. Not a
(03:10):
big move. For the five days, it's off one point
two eight. But the futures are pointing higher this morning.
So we're gonna see where we end up on the day.
Maybe the excitement gets through today, but we'll see because
we're closed for three days and then we'll go into Tuesday. Yeah,
we're not going to know anything of what's going on
with the markets. A lot of bouncing back and forth.
The war's still putting a lot of pressure. If we
(03:31):
talk about if you're wondering about bond rates, what have
they done? They come down just to here, but they're
still sitting to ten years at four point by five.
The two year is at four point zero seven. So
now I hope, you know.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I think, yeah, what happens this week, because there's a
story out we'll be getting to here in a couple
of minutes.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yeah, that Oman and.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Iran through Indie are saying they have come up with
a new plan for using tolls in the Strait of
Horror moves. Meanwhile, the President last night tweeted out just
some crazy truth social thing about the leaders of Iran
(04:18):
dropping all their weapons, walking through the streets of Tehran
with their hands in the air, saying I surrender, ICE surrender,
I surrender.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
I don't think it's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Now, so it's gonna be it's going to be an
interesting weekend and we'll keep an eye on it. We'll
talk again on Tuesday morning. Enjoy the holiday and we
will will.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
