Friday night - The North squad beat the South 111-110 in the 43rd News Journal All-Star Classic at Lexington High School. North senior David Lamoreaux from South Central was named the Game MVP with his 20 points and thunderous dunks, as the North held on to edge the South, who did have a chance to win it in the final seconds. The Shelby Whippets and Lima Shawnee Indians played a great high school basketball game Thursday night at the Elida Fieldhouse in the boys Division II Regional Semi-Final. The game went to OT, when Tygers sophomore Nathaniel "Chunky" Haney made 3 free throws with 00.1 left on the clock in the 4th Q.
