Shelby came out on fire and never looked back, as they beat Huron Wednesday in the Division II District Semi-Finals at Ashland High School, 75-49.
Shelby led 28 - 10 after the 1st quarter, as their 1 - 2 punch of TJ Pugh and Cody Lantz combined to score 45 points in the game ( Pugh 26, Lantz 19).
The Whippets (19-3) will play in the District Championship Game for the 1st time in 10 years (2011) on Saturday when they take on Norwalk (17-8). Shelby last won a District Title 21 years ago in 1999. (Aired 3/3/21)
