(00:00):
All right, we're back and Ihave an unexpected guest today. I'm pleased
to welcome to the show Robert KennedyJunior, who is going to be coming
to Denver. You may have justheard the spot this weekend, sir,
welcome to the show. Thank youso much for having me. You know,
we'll talk about your event, butI would love to just talk about
your race for a moment if wecould, because you have been one of
(00:25):
those third party candidates who is reallyimpossible to stop paying attention to. As
as much as the two parties wouldlove to take the spotlight off of you,
your candidacy continues to chug along. How do you guys feel about your
progress as a third party candidate sofar? Well, you know, Zogby
(00:46):
just at the largest poll of thecampaign. So typical polls like gounn to
be a gallup Harvard Harris, theNew York Times, Vienna, et cetera,
typically have about twelve hundred to twentytwo hundred people in them that they
survey. The Zogby pole is fiftystate and it's twenty six thousand people,
(01:07):
so it's more than ten times thebiggest pole so far. It has a
margin error close to zero. Andwhat it shows is that in a head
to head race, if it wasjust me against President Trump, I beat
President Trump by three Electoral College votesand I head had race. If it
(01:29):
was just me against President Biden,I'd beat President Biden a landslide. I
take thirty nine states, he takeseleven. And if the poll also shows
that if I'm in the race,a three way race occurred today with me,
President Trump, and President Biden, president Trump would win, President Biden
(01:52):
would lose. And if I getout of the race, President Trump wins
with two additional estates, so hewent larger, wins Maine and Virginia.
And what this shows is that PresidentBiden cannot win no matter what. And
I'm for people who are concerned aboutbeating President Trump. I'm the only candidate
(02:15):
that can beat him. My favorabilityratings are higher than either of them.
People don't want the contest between PresidentBiden and President Trump. The reason that
President Trump and President Biden do wellis because people are frightened. They're able
to orchestrate fear against the other personand say, if you vote for Robert
(02:38):
Kennedy, your President Biden could getelected or Conversely, if you vote for
Kennedy, president Trump could get elected. So people, I am Americans are
voting out of fear, and youknow, our job over the next six
months is to persuade people to voteout of hope, and if they do
that, I'm going to win.Well. I got a text message earlier
(03:00):
when I mentioned that we may betalking to you today from a guy who
said, look, I can't votefor Biden or Trump. I don't think
Kennedy's going to win, but I'mgoing to vote for him as sort of
a vote for the viability of athird party, something I've done in the
past. So I get it.Are you do you think you're going to
be able to sway Republicans specifically? And how are you planning on doing that?
(03:23):
What is your strategy there? Well, you know, are we are
ready? We're winning among among amongyoung Americans. So the biggest national Paul
shows me winning among beating of PresidentTrump and President among Americans undred thirty five
(03:45):
years of age. The in thesixth battle Ground States, I beat oh
president by President Trump and Americans underforty five. I also beat them among
independents, So that's the biggest Godis the first election year where independence outnumbers
Democrats. About forty Americans now selfidentify as independent versus twenty Democrats. Twenty
(04:15):
percent identify as Republicans. So Iwin that biggest cohort, the group that
I don't do well with, ourbaby bloomers, And you know that that's
the group, if you think aboutit, that I should do best with,
because there are people who still havenostalgia about Camelot. They were alive
(04:39):
during the Kennedy era, they rememberit, and I was a very big
champion among that cohort during all ofmy years as environmental champion. But they
get their news from MSNBC, fromCNN, from ABCNBCCBS, the mainstream media.
And if you if that is thenews bubble, the information bubble that
(05:02):
you're living in, you're going tohave a very low opinion of me because
they won't let me on. Noneof those stations will let me on for
live interviews. And you know,so what they hear are mischaracterizations of my
opinions on of riot and the issues. So my challenge is really to get
(05:23):
to break through that barrier, toget on those stations, and then you
know, we have a good chanceof convincing that cohort. We have a
very very good, big conversion ratewhen they actually see me speak. Well,
what do you think some of thebiggest misconceptions that they are promoting about
you? Because I you know,I have sort of a conception of your
(05:43):
campaign platform, and I'm going tobe perfectly honest, I'm much to your
right, and there are things thatI disagree strongly with. But where do
you feel like you've been mischaracterized oreven caricatured. I would say almost on
every issue. I mean, youknow, the biggest area is because you
know, antivacts, anti science, all of that stuff, my opinions and
(06:08):
beliefs about those issues are mischaracterized thatI don't want to take vaccines away from
people that you know, I'm proscience. I just believe that America,
if you like your vaccine, I'mnot going to take anybody away from them.
Everybody should be able to do whatthey want. I believe in personal
freedom. But people should have theinformation. We should be doing the same
(06:31):
kind of rigorous studies we do forother medications. We see the controlled trials,
and we should have long term informationabout the risks, about the safety
risks and the efficacy, and wedo not have that, and there's the
information chaos in that area. AndI also don't think should be forced to
(06:51):
take any medical intervention. Right now, the CDC is recommending the ninth booster,
so and there's ninety Americans are sayingthey're not going to take it.
So people have lost faith in CDC. Do you really believe that we should
have a rule that says, nowyou can't go to work, you can't
(07:14):
get on an airplane, you can'tstay at a hotel, you can't go
into a public building unless you takethis intervention. You know, I think
my opinion is the same as thevast majority of Americans that the government shouldn't
be able to force you to takea medicine that you don't want. We
are in complete agreement on that, sir. And let me ask you this
this past couple of weeks, there'sbeen a little bit of a kerfuffle around
(07:39):
your thoughts on abortion, which ofcourse is going to be made a huge
issue by Democrats. Can you clarifyyour stance as on that issue. Yeah,
I mean my stance is it's thewoman's It's up to women to choose.
Every abortion is a tragedy. Everyoneis a trauma. But I don't,
(08:00):
you know, I've been fighting formedical freedom my entire career and for
bodily autonomy, and I don't trustbureaucrats to the government to make those decisions
now in the last months of apregnancy. I think for elective abortions,
(08:20):
I think the government does have aninterest in protecting a viable baby, So,
you know, I that's my opinionit so maybe a late term ban
would be acceptable. But do youbelieve it is the federal government's responsibility or
should it be left up to thestates. I'm comfortable with that, like
we did under row Vy way withthat being left up to the states,
(08:43):
you know, But I would sayin the you know, prior to viability,
that woman should have a right tochoose. And in fact, even
in the Red states, the statesthat have you know, since the Roe
v Decision, the termination of roeview waide rights that have come down in
(09:07):
every election, I think in ninedifferent states, including very very red states,
the public has voted to keep theoption open. So I think Americans,
you do feel that a woman's rightshould be respected. What are your
thoughts on our two biggest foreign policyissues? Right now Ukraine and Israel,
(09:28):
and I realized that's a big question, but I'd kind of like to get
your feel for what your foreign policywould be. Yeah, I would settle
the Ukraine War. The Ukraine Warshould never have happened. President Biden twice
offered us extremely generous I mean,Putin offered extremely generous settlements. Once in
(09:50):
April twenty twenty two, the settlementwas initialed is Lensky's signed by Putin,
and Putin was withdrawing all troops fromthe Ukraine as before the real killing started.
And you know what Putin wants isfor us to agree to keep NATO
out of Ukraine, which I thinkis a legitimate demand. And so you
(10:11):
know, I would, I wouldstop the hemorrhage of money. That money
should be coming to our country. We need it now. There's fifty seven
percent of Americans don't have enough, can't put their hands on a thousand dollars
if they have an emergency. Wehave a poverty problem in this country.
We you know, we we can'tafford to be the policeman in the world.
(10:33):
Israel is you know, listener,I am against war, but I
think we've only fought one war inthe past one hundred years, that has
been a moral war, and thatwas World War Two because we were attacked
and it was a defensive war.And I think Israel's the same position today.
It was attacked by Oz, andOZ has pledged to its annihilation.
(10:56):
I'm Oz has a and it's cobbitant. It has a chartered provision that says
that any negotiation with Israel is againstIslamic law and except as a ruse,
and the only negotiating position they haveis the extermination of all it chees and
the annihilation of Israel. And soI don't think there's room to negotiate with
(11:22):
adversary like that, and it hasto be has to be removed. And
so I support Israel's right to defenditself. Israel, like any other country,
has a right to self defense. One last question, and this is
a big one. The southern borderis a big issue because we've had such
a huge influx of people come intothe country that we may or may not
(11:46):
know who they are. What wouldPresident Kennedy do at the southern border.
I would secure the border, shutit down. I've been to the border,
spent a lot of time there.I've made a documentary about it and
the station that's causing our problem ourcountry. I believe that we should have
wide gates so people who come into our country legally and wait in line,
(12:09):
who go through the process, thatthey should have a quicker pass to
citizenship. But people coming across theborder that is not okay. And no
country can survive with the kind ofinflux and eyes on nine million people in
three years coming across illegally. It'sdestroying our country and we can't tolerate it.
(12:31):
And I think one other thing iswe launched our ballot access. As
you know, I have to geton the ballot in all fifty states.
President Trump and President Biden will automaticallybe on the ballot. I have to
go get a million signatures. Ineed to get twelve thousand in the state
of Colorado. We launched our ballotaccess yesterday. Colorado has unique rules that
(12:54):
require me to get fifteen hundred signaturesin all eight congredi and each of all
eight congressional districts. So we areyou know, we're launched, so you'll
see people on the street. Ifyou're interested in helping us with this effort,
please call it. Kennedy twenty fourdot com. I will be in
(13:15):
Denver at the anger see at StanleyMarketplace. You're gonna be at the Hangar
at Stanley Marketplace, Yeah, onSunday PM. Three pm on Sunday,
and I hope to meet any ofyou there. Who are you don't want
to come out and say hi andcome to a rally. I am going
to add this to my very widelyread blog. Mister Kennedy. It's been
(13:39):
a pleasure speaking with you today, and it's certainly given us a lot to
think about, especially in a statewhere we have as many independents as we
have. I'm guessing you're gonna doYou're going to do pretty well here,
just if you can get on theballot. We'll see you on election Day
Sunday from three to five. Youcan go to a rally for Robert F.
Kennedy Junior at this Stanley Market StanleyHanger the Hangar at Stanley Marketplace.
(14:03):

as it might be. Well.I always enjoyed Colorado. I'm looking forward
to being there. My son isgoing to come with me and a couple
of other family members. All right, I'm looking forward to meeting people.
