(00:00):
Let me talk to Steve Moore rightnow. Steve Moore is, of course,
one of Trump's economic advisors. Iwas just laying out how I felt
about this, Steve, and Iwant to hear what you think. Yeah,
go ahead. Well, I waslike, you, look, here's
my attitude about this. You know, we're going to have a jury verdict

(00:21):
on November fifth, right, theAmerican people are going to vote on who
they want to be the next president, and so you know, the voters
are the ultimjority here, and soI think this was this case. I
have never been brought to any fairminded person, you know, whether you
like Trump or not Trump. AndI know you've got people of all different
political perspectives in your audience. Youknow this this was kind of a farce,

(00:44):
and it's shameful that we now havea justice system. It's hard to
trust that, you know. Inother words, let me put it like
this, Mandy, do you thinkthat if this case were heard in Nebraska,
Iowa, or Montana or Utah orFlorida, do you think there's any
way in hell that he would havebeen convicted. That's funny that you just
said that. I said that tosomeone last night. I was like,

(01:07):
this was a venue chosen to beso pro prosecution that it's not even funny.
And it was successful. And that'syeah, because you know, justice
should be blind, it shouldn't matteryou know, what your political perspective is.
But once the you know, venuewas chosen that this was kind of
preered in so I feel fad aboutit. I think it's a big black
guy for the city of New Yorkwho wants to do business in that place

(01:30):
anymore? And so but I'll tellyou as a Trump guy. And by
the way, they you know this, the Democrats are happy because now they
you know, every time they talkabout Trump built. But I'll tell you,
you know, they've riens in thelast sixteen hours. It's amazing.

(01:52):
I mean, people are so angryout there at what they do as a
miscarriage from justice. And so that'sthat's the way I see it. I
think that this is a really interestingand dangerous precedent to set Steve and you
know, Trump in twenty sixteen chantedlock her up at a lot of his
rallies talking about Hillary Clinton. Butthen as soon as he was elected,

(02:12):
he just said, you know what, beautiful Hillary, We're not going to
she's fine. We're not gonna doyou think that changes now, because there's
a big part of me that feelslike the only way to stop this in
its tracks is to go tit fortat right away and say if you're going
to play this game, we're goingto play this game, because otherwise this
is the new this is the newblueprint. No. I look, I

(02:36):
don't believe in tit for tat inthis kind of situation. I mean,
the fact is that what we shouldbe talking about today is you know the
issues. I mean, this countryis in real trouble, right Yeah,
And you and I've talked about thisthe last you know, a couple of
years. I mean, we're goingin the wrong direction. We've got,
you know, a border that's outof control, We've got in place that's
out of control, gas prices areout of control. We've got you know,

(03:00):
so many problems in this country, crime, out of control, et
cetera. Why can't we deal witha big boy discussion of how we're going
to fix this country rather than youknow, I mean, look, he
had a relationship with a hooker, yeah, years ago, and that's what
we're talking about. I Mean,it's sort of silly actually, and we
should really have a very sophisticated discussionabout Okay, what are we going about

(03:23):
our out of control debt, howare we going to you know, get
the economy moving again, how arewe going to get control of border?
And I want to hear the candidates, so I want to hear what they
have to say. But this isthis is like a national inquiry debate.
It is. But unfortunately this iswhere we are, Steve, I mean,
this is I think the bigger implicationshere are so bad, not just

(03:44):
for this presidential election, but forour standing in the world. We've now
become essentially like a Central American tinpotdictatorship where you know, there's no reliability
here. I said that the otherlast night on Potts exactly that that you
know, this is like Banana republic, you know, where you get a
ruler comes in and he like triesto get rid of all of you know,

(04:04):
put in prison all his political enemies. And now that's almost literally what
they're doing. And so I readsomething in the in the Wall Street Journal
this morning. It's just a littlelevity, but I mean it's it's true
that they were saying if Trump, they say, well, it's very unlikely
that Trump will be president. Butif you were a president, if he
does go to the prison, thatthe Secret Service goes to prison with him,

(04:29):
that is insane. I mean, that is insane. So that's how
crazy this is. Uh. Andyou know, look, you're so right
to compare this, you don't.I work for Trump. I was one
of his senior economists many times. And some of the people I work with,

(04:53):
like Peter Navarro, and I'm youknow, Peter and I used to
not always agree on things. Butyou know, Peter is in jail right
now, in jail for being aTrump to come and come on. So
I have these I swear to god, I have these nightmares. Sometimes I'll
wake up in the middle of nightand it's called sweat, and I'm thinking,
oh my god, you know, there's gonna be a you know,

(05:15):
knocking on the door, and Iopened the door and there's gonna be three
you know, FBI agents there withmachine guns and taking me away and my
crimes. I work for Trump, and so we really have weaponized the Justice
Department in a way that's really reallythe theory for the country and justice should
be blind, and in this case, it wasn't uh, Steve Moore a
pleasure to talk to you, myfriend. I got to take a break,

(05:36):
but we'll talk again obviously as youcontinue to work with the Trump campaign
throughout the rest of this and youknow, go ahead and Steve about that
that matters, you know what Imean, It's like, what are we
going to do our data and areout of control border and our inflation,
because those are the things that reallymatter. I know. That's what everybody's
talking about today is this country isin trouble. That's what I'm here to

(06:00):
tell you. It's in big trouble. All right. I'll talk to you
soon, my friend. Bye,Andy, see it
