(00:04):
Shortly afternoon. If t Rocky's anon employe, there's a voice song kill
Hey you got it here today She'sthe Mistress of the Mind with raises sham
Windy Conal, Lord, you cannotquit handy condo. We need a montage

(00:27):
and night, we need a montage. While this is playing, we need
some kind of you know, likeseventy sitcom opening type situation. This is
the Mandy connell theme and it wasdone by a listener. His name is
Ty Shade. Tie is joining menow, Hello my friend, Well hello
Mandy. So first of all,Ty, I cannot thank you enough this

(00:48):
Actually, like I I got emotionalabout this because it's one of the nicest
things that anybody has ever done forme as a listener. I just appreciated
it so much and it's so good. And the first thing a rod zaid
was did he use AI? Becauseit's that good. So I wanted to
bring you on to talk about howyou made the song. First of all,
I'm pleased I inspired it, Butwhat were you just sitting around one

(01:11):
day with nothing to do and thought, you know, I'm gonna make a
Mandy Connells song. Yeah, SoI am gifted musically in one area.
And that's when a song comes on, I immediately know if I like it
or not. That's as far asmy musical genius goes. So most all
of this is pretty much AI.Here at work, we do a lot

(01:34):
of training, and I was thinkingif we could put something to music,
students might like it more. Right, So then I started researching AI music
because I can't do anything, andit started turning out really well. And
then so the more and I juststarted in January, and the more I
dug into it, the more itgot. And so when I or,

(01:55):
the more it got better. Andthen when I got to your song,
I was trying multiple different programs justto create one song, So yours was
kind of an experiment and it cameout so well, and I'm like,
I'm just going to send it toher because this turned out pretty good.
This is really cool. So didyou write the words? Did you?
I mean, how does this tellme what the process is? Like?
Yeah? So the only thing that'sthat's completely mine is the lyrics. Yes,

(02:17):
I did all the lyrics. Thenthere's various AI programs. The main
one I used is called Lala, and that basically takes a song it can
strip it down into all of itsindividual tracks, and you can alter all
those tracks. So I used theprogram to create the drums, I used
the program to create the guitar, and other program to create the vocals,

(02:39):
and then you just mash it alltogether. Oh that's super cool. So
that's an AI singer. Yes,no, yeah. Now over the weekend,
I just found out I found anew AI program where you can train
it with your voice and it willgenerate your your singing voice. Get out.
Yeah, what's the name of thatone? That's We're cool. It's

(03:00):
brand new. It's called I thinkit's pronounced Audie me audim double e.
But you basically just talked to itlike you would programming anything, and eventually
it knows how to create your singingvoice. It's easy to do with celebrities
because there's so much audio right outthere, so AI can rip their voices
quick. But if you want todo yours, then you just have to

(03:22):
train something to do well. Itsounds a lot like well, I don't
know if you heard the interview yesterdaywith James Duprey, the guy who worked
with Oh my gosh, Randy Travis, who was left without a singing voice,
and they used Ai and James Duprai'svoice to recreate Randy Travis's voice,
and now he's got a new songout because of it. So it's kind

(03:42):
of I mean, it's very verysimilar. But the thing that I find
the most interesting about this now,I'm glad you wrote the lyrics, because
if you hadn't written the lyrics,I would be like, man, this
is actually super catchy for completely computergenerated. It makes me feel better that
there was a human component to thelyrics somehow, because I don't want to
be replaced by AI. You aredoing my job. So how long did

(04:04):
all this take you? About twohours. The first thing I went for
was a guitar track because I wantedsomething that felt I don't know, it
sounds weird, but I needed itto feel like bumper music, right,
So, oh my god, that'svery hard. I found the guitar track
first because I figured, man, that'll appeal to Mandy more than anything.

(04:26):
And then when I had that,I wrote the lyrics so it fit that
tempo. Then found another program thathad put in the drum beats, found
another program that would do that guitarsolo, put it all together and then
there you go. That is supercool, ty, just really really I
appreciate it so very much. Andnow you have the problem is you know,
you can't copyright anything that's made byAI. This one is copyright.

(04:48):
So I went through and looked atall the programs I used to create this
one, and all of them letyou use whatever you generate with their stuff.
You can copyright it's yours. Ohno way, No, I was
under the OPPRESSI and and and I'llhave to look into this more. That
the copyright office was rejecting possible applicationsbecause they can't be sure of where the

(05:11):
AI was quote inspired by. Butif you're manipulating the guitar and you're manipulating
all the different pieces, that tome would seem like you you actually composed
it. Yeah, I think itmore like arranging. But yeah, I'm
more of a jazzy Jeff. That'smyself. I love that, just kind
of just kind of throwing everything together. And I found another program this weekend

(05:34):
too, where you make noises withyour mouth and that turns into the musical
instruments are authentic too, Like youmake a noise like and it turns it
into a musical instrument. Yes,what is that one called? Oh jeez,
what was that one called? Iwant to say, email it to

(05:56):
me. When you find it,tie, email it to me. It's
there's there's so much, and it'smoving so fast. I just started in
January, like I said, becauseI wanted to help my students, and
now it's going so fast. Ican't even keep up with all the with
all the changes well I am doing. I can't tell you how much I
appreciate it. I was very movedthat you thought of me and that you
made me a song. And Ilove it and I'm gonna have aj error

(06:18):
production director like work it into ourinto our intro because I just think it's
it's absolute fantastic. And I justwanted to bring you on and thank you
publicly because you made my day.I said it to all my friends,
like all of my and I'm like, oh my god, I have a
theme song. All I need isa cape and I'm practically a superhero.

(06:39):
Well, you make everybody a daybetter. So if I made one of
your days better, that's worth ty. I appreciate you, man, I
appreciate that so much. Well, you're welcome, all right, that's tie.
Did I say your last name right? Is it Shade? It's actually
but Danie. I was gonna saythat, but that seemed too fancy.
So anyway, ty Shaw day.I appreciate your time today, my friend.

(07:00):
We have a good day, alright, you two
