Kirby Smart & Shove-Gate 2024, 3 Big SEC Players Done for Season, Week 7 SEC Players of the Week

The latest on the drama surrounding "Shove-Gate 2024" as Georgia Bulldogs Coach Kirby Smart had a sideline shove on Mississippi State QB Michael Van Buren late in the game on Saturday. Smart apologized to Van Buren and Coach Jeff Lebby, saying there was no ill will intended. Paul Finebaum was critical of Kirby's lack of response after the game, and SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey even released a statement on Monday regarding the situation, saying it should have been an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. 

In addition, three big names in the SEC injured and are done for the season, with Florida QB Graham Mertz, Tennessee LB Keenan Pili and Texas S Derek Williams all sidelined for the rest of the year. In addition we get injury updates on Georgia RB Branson Robinson and Arkansas QB Taylen Green.
