Speaker 1 (00:01):
Got a lifetime with Moira and tomorrow. Well, I found
out from a maid of mine who works just in
one of the stores at Kumera. So you know how
you hear about like really stupid criminals.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Make their round, Okay, So what happened was there were.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
A couple of guys aged around twenty three twenty six,
so they really should know better. So they decided at
about ten to five on Friday of last week that
they would head to Westfield Kumera. Now they wouldn't park
their car in the Kumera car park because it takes
your number plate when you drive in that stupid yes, okay,

(00:46):
so they decided to park Costco Cool, which I have
a feeling also does the same thing.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Pretty sure.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
So what they did was they were wearing all the
balletklava and all the stuff good good.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
They went to the jewelers. They get dressed over at Costco.
You know what, I feel like they would have got
dressed in the car, I really do. They would have
bought bulk balaclava and the bulk crowbars. So they've had
their crowbars or Thailand.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
And they went to a jeweler's and they decided that
they would smash the counter.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Like the glass cabinets.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Right, okay, mad I just mentioned once again ten to
five on a Friday afternoon.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
They're got retail assistants who want to go home. People,
they're going to be angry. But what they smashed was
they didn't take the good stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Clearly their partners, you know, don't have good taste of
jewelry they stole.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
They took the like the not the nine carrot gold.
Funny you think they had partners, well, exactly, good point.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Maybe they are each other's partner, you know, they probably
are now, not the eighteen carrot gold stuff, not the diamonds,
but the really crap stuff, good crap. It's it's just
the cheapest stuff. Yes, roughly they would have got around
about fifteen dollars worth of jewelry awesome, and enough for
the car, enough of the parking possibly. And then what

(02:04):
they did was I didn't realize that by doing this
in public in the middle of Westfield Gyen, that they
wouldn't be chased down by other people. So they actually
got chased by not the staff who would have been
angry because it's ten.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
To five, they got chased by other shoppers. All right,
This is the best bit. This is my favorite bit. Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
So they run to the car with their fifteen dollars
worth of jewelry balaclava's, yes, and they get in the car.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
And obviously they haven't listened to the traffic reports.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Foxwell Road is an absolute nightmare at past five o'clock
on a Friday. So they got stuck in traffic and
the police just basically just drove up next to them
and went, Hi, guys, do you just.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Want to step out? And not like that, that's what
happened to. Hi, guys, do you want to step out
of the car. They couldn't move, Oh they would literally,
they literally were in a traffic jam because it's five
o'clock on Foxwell Road.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I don't know what Google maps.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
I know, Mel from Ceeded Creek, you might have some
further inside in these two numpties.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah, I work at the Westfield camera there. Yeah, we
found out that apparently these guys put the Bella flavas
on outside the door. The guys at the barber shop
apparently saw them and ran over and they they didn't
get any jewel They passed the counter that didn't get anything,

(03:24):
and then get away. They tried to cross. The medium
strength of the calf stuck like.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
It's like it was low tide and then it was
just stuck there. It was just stuck, exactly stuck.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, so took the calf how to get out of
the car park next to them?

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Oh, I just think it's hilarious they chose that spot
at that time of day. Yeah, like five o'clock traffic's
really heavy on the Comera.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
I know's nowhere to get out of the area.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
It's like they don't even listen to Moira's traffic exactly.
Thank you Mell from the Hot Tomato studios in Southport.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
This is Moira and big trays.
