Speaker 1 (00:01):
Get on in time with Moira and.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Unexpected bills. We are going to talk about much. Yesterday
headed off to the emergency Vet because we were really
concerned about Boston. This little thing on the back of
his neck kind of spread across two days to the
extent yesterday it was about ten centimeters and he was
in so much pain and just vomiting, and we had
all these plans. We had to cancel everything because he

(00:28):
went and the boys were upset. The boys were like,
is he going to be okay? And I said well,
and Paul said it as well, which was, when you're sick,
we take you to the doctors. So when Boston's sick,
we take him to the vet.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
But it was just that horrible moment where you're waiting
and you just don't know what they're going to say
it is, because that's what happened with one of our
other docs as we took her along thinking that she's
just a little unwell and she never came home, which
was very sad. But not yesterday. Everything was all good.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Back of his neck shaved, he's.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Got a hot spot there and he's got a cone.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah, and you shop for a new dog in front.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
I didn't shop for a new dog.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I was a little bit no for other options.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
One of the tread by, what other no possibilities? It
was three hours we were there. We had to do something.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
You could have just sat there and wait for your dog.
What was the bill? Are you gonna tell us? Are
you gonna share a ballpark? A lot better than I thought? Oh?
Really under three hundred. Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
When I was living in Breaking Hilton, Brie was here.
We had a thousand dollars phone bill. That was my end,
my mum game in guess why is.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
There a thousand dollars on the end? Ordered the Gold Coast?
And I was like, I don't know who have you
been calling? Did you put two and two together when
you moved to the Gold Coast?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
When you married a Gold Coast girl?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
After I left?

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Ah?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Right, unexpected bills.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
We want to know those things that you just like.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
The window falling out of my car, yes, the window
falling into the door of my car.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Oh you my entire car double five seven one I
turned on today. That was exciting inside. Did you want
them to know she was inside? Hey, Maura, you can't
take it off as Gordon and Rang.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
We want to know the biggest bill, the unexpected bill
you had, James from tren Park. You had a vet bill?

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Uh what? Ten thousand, six hundreds?

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Who?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
What ye did?

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Why?

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Started off with the dog, just had a bit of
a yelp. Went to the first vet. I think it
was about one hundred and thirty dollars. It's got a
sore shoulder, Gibbet and andy inflammatories, come and see it.
In a couple of days. On midnight, she looked like
a seal looking up in yourn it to emergency. They

(03:02):
did a blood test, gave her some pain relief, and
we took her home because we didn't want to spend
the extra thousand to keep her over night. And then
the next day she didn't get any better, so we
took her in and then they did an X ray,
then a seat scan, and then we found out that

(03:25):
she had caught meningied.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Oh my god, what kind of dog is she? She's
a dog or is she a cat?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
No, she's a dog. She's a foxy cross poodle.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
And would you spend that cash again? James?

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Absolutely, Unde's she's all good now, that's normal.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Awesome, James, weren't. But that's okay, the make account hasn't recovered.
Came from broadbeats. What was the bill?

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Mine was a vet bill as well. My puppy dog
got a bit sticky swall at the end of a
toy and had to have emergency surgery also on Friday.
Course of course, of course, of course I know. And
then basically I was actually had a plan trip. I'll
be planning to go overseas, and months went overseas and
when I landed in London, I had five missed calls

(04:13):
from a whole lot of relatives. He had to be
rushed back into surgery again on the Thursday before Gold
Coast Show day. His bow had started to die off
and he had to have a bowery section and he
was intensive care for four days. The total bill was
fifteen thousand.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Oh my god, how much did you pay for your dog?

Speaker 5 (04:37):
It's very special.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Two and a half.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Yeah, yeah, it was very extensive topic. So thankfully I
didn't have pet insurance, thankfully, and the vets, the vets
at Vet Love It Lobby Beach were absolutely amazing that
I can't fault them because they were calling me from
like they gave me the mobile numbers. They were calling
me from overseas, so.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
That's where they fifteen thousand dollars came in.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
They added those those onto the field day, three hundred
and forty three dollars for a two minute conversation.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Hey guys, can you stop calling? Can everyone stop calling it?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Let's go gold Coasters.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
It's Moira and Big tread on one and two nine
on Tomato
