Speaker 1 (00:00):
So interesting article I found today about Aldi And it's
quite funny because we do have my dog. He is
in the studio with us. One of my dogs is
in the studio today, Boston, little French bulldog. Now, you know,
it's interesting. Sometimes you can get distracted when you've got
your out shopping. One Aldi shopper has taken to social
media because as spotted the dog desserts that they have

(00:24):
in Aldi. Now they've been out since April, advertised as
the first ever pet friendly frozen desserts.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Awesome, that's really nice.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Except for the fact that she put them in the
freezer in a sun ate one oh, twenty year old
freezer said the ice cream with the carrots were a
bit ooh yeah, twenty he's twenty.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, no sympathy.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
He smashed through two of them. And then when you
do a double take of the box so I could
stock up on some more what I started to dry
wretch and I went really hot in the face. Now
do I remember a story from you where you fed

(01:13):
one of your friends a dog treat or a dog biscuits?

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Was me?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Oh, maybe maybe they came around my house skepped eating
all my chocolate. Yeah, And I bought Choco dog biscuits. Yes,
and put him in a bowl and left him out
so you could see him. Oh, and then he started
smashing him. You know how they were like TV snacks Yeah, TV.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Oh, I need to get through.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
So I put him in the TVAS box and then
he pulled him on the plate. Yeah. Then he ate
him and then I brought the real box in front
of him. Then he spat it on my floor and
then walked out.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I remember when I was a kid, I thought there
was a big chunk of like a green sushi and
stuff like that was a big chunk of something. I
was like, that looks amazing avocado and I put it
all in my mouth and it was with but like
I'm talking, I'm talking like a chunk.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
I've got you here. I'll find it and try and
get Ben to play it.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Because I did. I did think the avocado okay, sure, whatever,
I need to bring it up.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
I have to find it.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
This was in the middle of like a market in
Brisbane and I and I literally was like I had
to go house for milk.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I ordered to carry Lamb's fry and then why, first
of all, what's wrong? All I read was carrying lamb Oh,
then I ordered it maybe are you sure? Yeah? Thank you,
walked out and then shoved it in my garden. Went
the walk back. This is not good carry. I think

(03:00):
your beat's off because no, it's all livery and kidneys
and stuff. I was like, oh yeah, just all the
good bits.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
What did you eat by accident?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yes, that's the question, all right, Luke from Eleonora?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
What did you eat by misteak?

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Look? God, it wasn't me. It was my grandfather. This
is a classic story from my grandmother, who was one
of those ladies who cooked every single meal for my
grandfather his entire life, and went away one night and
left him and instructions the foods in the cupboard, just
cook it up. When she got back, he said that
can meat was all right, but the grady was a

(03:35):
bit funny. He'd opened a can of power and gious.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
When I was young, I always wondered, try, oh god,
what flavor was it? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Good?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Oh, so you could calve it. That's the other one, yeah,
Gusie for main bait. What did you eat by accident?

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Well it's not me, but it's my sister, and it's
not by accident. She likes to eat dog at kibble,
like it makes him want to drive it when I
think about it, I don't know. We grew up with
my godfather, who was a veterinaran for the racing greyhounds.

(04:35):
We were around from a very young age, and when
she was little she used to just sit there and
eat the kibble and we're like, oh, he stop. And
then she came over back from Perth where she is
in the army, and she was like feeding my puppies
and she's like, oh, this friend's really good. It's Fashi

(04:56):
by kibble, and I was like dry the lost. At
the same time, I'm like on Google thinking, sure she's
gonna die something like I think I need to go
and get like some warming tablets for her.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
I think, you know what for Christmas? Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Oh god, oh my god. That'd be salty, wouldn't it.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Really.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
There's actually a brand of dog food called like I
think it is, and it is.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
You could actually eat it really.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Like it's it's I'm sure it's for dogs, but it
is actually all like fresh food.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
There you go, Kirsty, he's a present for.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
There's in between say what she likes? So are they
going to tell you you're going to die, or it's really
good for you.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Okay, there two options.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Okay, t Ye.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Time with Moira and I'm worry too.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
