Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's Moira and dig Tread. We thought we'd give you
an update on something one of the big things we've
been talking about the last few weeks, massive huge things. Yeah,
took over the show there for a while. It did.
It was related to food. Surprisingly, I know that comes
with such a surprise. Banana bread. Oh okay, So originally
(00:23):
during the school holidays, Eli, my seven year old, had
come in to hang out during you know, it's great.
He actually I think he wants to beat your radio producer. Now, yes,
he's very good. I'm going to talk him out of it. Anyway,
you guys took him over next door and purchased banana
bread for him. Now, the shocking event that happened from
that moment was he had it raw, didn't have it toasted,
(00:47):
didn't have it with butter. That's the one thing. Because
we said banana bread as yes, please toasted and buttered,
and he goes, no, thank you. Me and Ben had
to take a step back. And then after that they
even started to put it in the toaster out of
habit and they're like, oh, hang on, no, no, you
didn't want Yeah, he's this kid, all right, so unusual.
(01:08):
After much trepidation, I purchased some banana bread yesterday with
the intention of toasting said banana bread for Eli this
morning for breakfast. First up, first issue, do you actually
use a toaster? Because that that just wasn't right. It
depends on work apart. Have you got a big toaster?
(01:32):
Personal question? How many slots? What I mean, we've got four,
We've got a full slot toaster. The water is broken.
I reckon you'd use a sandwich press. Well, this was
the thing. Well, we can use that toast. It's got
four slots in it. Yeah, but okay, so I put
(01:53):
it in there and then it just didn't toast like,
it didn't well, it just it just got hot and
then that was it. That's good toasting. Ye but it
didn't have the didn't have the crunch factor like what
you made me because I get it now right, you
toasted longer yea, But it fell apart and then it
went through the toaster, so I had to use another one.
So then I got the I was going to go
(02:14):
sandwich press, but I went the saucepan haly fried sorry
a frying. This reminds me of all those cafes where
they fry it in frying. Yeah. Oh wait, No, I
was going to message the group and say, should my
(02:37):
house take buy some toasting banana bread? Can I use
a f I know toasted is the kind of the
highlight of that. So anyway, I fried it and came
out quite delightful. Then I then Jackson smelt it, including
(03:02):
just go pump it on the hot blake sunny side up. Yeah, god, yeah.
So then I did it for Jackson as well because
he could smell and he was like, what is that smell?
And I'm like, toasted banana bread? Which one? Because are
we doing that? And yes, we're doing that. So then
after I googled it on, banana bread has a significant
high level of sugar and it burns quite quickly. Yes, both,
(03:27):
you leave it unattended in a frying band, did you go?
I did to make a coffee and then to feed
the dog, and I burnt it, So you've written off
two bits. What I managed to do though, because it
was so burnt, I just sliced it with a very
(03:48):
thin knife and I just sliced it so he had
one toasted side of one. This is why I shouldn't
be in the kitchen. I shouldn't be left alone. I
shouldn't google your son. Yes, doesn't like banana bread because
you're killing it giving him charcoal. Anyway, they liked it.
(04:09):
What part? Hey, everybody come over her head stuck in
the twains till the frying bands cooled down, and everybody
have a lick of the band. Now, tomorrow we're gonna
try the walk. It's Moira and Detro
