Audrey Griffin, who was allegedly murdered while trying to get
home from a night out with friends in Gosford. The
vigil will be held at five pm tonight at Terregle Beach,
with locals expected to gather on the waterfront wearing white
to show their support for the family and make a
stand against violence. Griffin's body was found partially submerged in

Areiner Creek on the Central Coast on March twenty four.
Her alleged killer, fifty three year old Adrian Noel Torrens,
was arrested on Monday after a four week police investigation
into the rugby league and water polo player's death. Police
alleged which the pair were not known to each other,
but that there was a physical altercation at three a
m on March twenty third. Torrens was arrested on Monday

and spent the night in custody before his matter was
briefly mentioned in Sydney's Downing Center Local Court on Tuesday.
A fundraising page has been set up to help Miss
Griffin's family with funeral costs. Police continue to appeal for

South Wales this ANZAC Day, with most bottle shops and
supermarkets to be closed. The legislation passed last year, but
prior to that shops and liquor stores were allowed to
open at one pm. The Endeavor Group, which operates Stan Murphy's,
BWS and Coal's, have confirmed that most of their stores
will be closed. There are exemptions for shops attached to

the Australian Leisure and Hospitality Group, hotels and take away
sales from pubs. Western Australia will also see all bottle
shops and supermarkets closed and life exempt. Two Australian states
will see no force closures with the Act and NT

competition rules. Apple was hit with an eight hundred and
ninety million dollar fine for preventing app makers from pointing
users to cheaper options outside of its own app store. Meanwhile,
Meta is facing a three hundred and fifty six million

dollar fine for forcing Facebook and Instagram users to choose
between seeing ads or paying to avoid them. Apple and
Meta have to comply with the decisions within sixty days
or risk penalty payments. The Commission said. The fines were
issued under the EU's Digital Markets app, a rule book
aiming to give consumers more choice and stop big tech

companies from monopolizing certain digital markets. Both companies have indicated
they will appeal. Apple has accused the Commission of unfairly
targeting them, while Meta said they are unfairly restricting personalized advertising.
