So much you're listening to Amma Mia podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and waters
that this podcast is recorded on.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Makeup is My Therapy.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
I'm the love, I'm obsessed and I don't even feel
guilty of body.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Hello, and welcome to you Beauty, the podcast for Your Face.
I'm Lee Campbell.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I'm killing mccaren.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Before we get into helping with two beauty dilemmas this week,
let's kick things off with what's happening in the beauty
world with the Beauty Edit.
Speaker 4 (00:41):
Welcome back to the Beauty Edit.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I'm Cass, Mama MIA's morning editor and beauty nerd, and
today I'm dishing out all the news you need to
know this.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Week, and I'm Sophie, producer of You Beauty.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Cass.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
What's been happening in the beauty world this week?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
So I really want to start with Haley Baber and Rhad.
It's something we've been talking about for a while.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
Yes, there's been rumors everywhere all the time.
Speaker 3 (00:59):
I'm dying because TikTok has literally been overtaken by all
of these videos of people saying that it's coming. It's
coming in early twenty twenty six. Did you see the
girl eating the glaze donut?
Speaker 5 (01:09):
I did, and I heard all the hints that she
dropped that this may not be Sephora, now, this may
be going to Mecca exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
So we all assumed it would be Sephora because that's
where it launched in the US.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Road actually got sold to Elf Cosmetics for a billion
dollars back in May, and Elf has like a few
brands under its umbrella and they've all been launched in Sephora.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
So in Aiturium is a great example.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
They just launched in Australia in Sephora, just the same
as their in Sephora in the US, and Road is
also launching in the UK in November in Sephora.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
So this is what we all thought. Although a few
weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
When I was chatting on the Beauty Edit with our
wonderful Amy Clark, we were sort of talking about it
and being like, well, Mecca makes sense. It's a huge
home brand juggernaut and it would be great to see
it there too, And so it kind of threw everyone
for six when we started seeing this on social media.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
I mean, we had Meredith, she.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Gave away the goss that it will be in Mecha
in twenty twenty six. She did, and is she known
for doing videos like this?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
She is.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
She does think of beauty, which is kind of like
gossip in the beauty indus.
Speaker 5 (02:10):
She get her exactly I'd had goss from. I was like,
does she work at Mecca dos?
Speaker 4 (02:13):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
I don't know if she's getting her inside goss, but
she does report a lot with Mecha, so I'm assuming
that she's, you know, got maybe a little bit of
intel there. However, I also have intel with Mecca, and
I spoke to them earlier today when I was writing
an article on this, and they said, well, we've got
nothing to announce just yet. The pipeline of new brands
coming to Mecca is nothing short of amazing and we
can't wait to share more soon.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Now that's pretty cryptic if you ask me.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
But I also saw Sephora said a little bit back,
no news is good news, So that suggests like that
they are both playing off each other and getting us
to follow along. And I'm really invested.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
I never thought I'd be as invested either way.
Speaker 5 (02:49):
It's coming to Australia, but I care which retail store
is going into.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
No, I totally agree, And I think that's important for
us to know when we talk about this, like these
are all rumors and we don't have any proof, but
I think that we can tell there's such an appetite
for Road and it's imminent. So we're literally just waiting
for Elf or Road or Mecha or Sephora or whoever
beauty God wants to bless us that road is finally coming.
(03:13):
In other Haley Bebin News, she started talking about her
cosmetic tweakments.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Have you seen this?
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Yes, I saw this, and I feel like I'm really invested.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
She's got great skin, and I wanted to know what
tweatments she is or isn't getting that we can or
can't afford totally.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
And now I thought it was interesting that she jumped
on this trend because I've seen quite a few celebrities
doing this.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
Oh, everyone's doing And when she said why would I lie,
It's like, no, you're just deciding now you don't want
to lie because everyone else is doing that.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
So we've just heard from Jaylaw talking about wanting to
get a boob job. We've just seen all the Kardashians
basically come completely clean with what they've done, so she's
really just jumping on this bandwagon. So Haley has made
a commitment to herself to not do injectibles until she's thirty,
and in the meantime, she's sort of done other treatments,
so things like the vampire facial, which we saw popularized
by the lacks of Kim Kardashian. And she has had
(04:01):
one sort of injectible and that's for her TMJ, which
is a kind of jaw pain and stiffness that you
can get, but other than that, she's really steered clear
from it, which I thought was interesting.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Especially in Hollywood right now totally.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Because everyone's getting, you know, various tweakments done. And I'm
so happy that we're at a point where women feel
like they can say what they've been doing. But I
also think it's important if we're going to start opening
this door to honesty, that we do it the whole
way and say everything we've done. Now, whether or not
Hailey's been completely honest about every single thing that she's
had done over the years, we'll never know, but I
(04:34):
do think that there's this kind of sanitization happening where
people say, oh, I only had this little thing done,
or this other little thing done, but not the big, bad,
terrible thing.
Speaker 5 (04:41):
She also said that you know, she's got great genetics,
she's got a really good skincare regime, putting aside the
fact that we don't know if she's telling the truth.
I liked that she said that she's going to wait
till thirty. I just feel like all my friends are
starting to get it's so much younger. That's basically what
everyone's talking about. And I like that it seems crazy
that she's even waiting till thirty as a celebrity. And
then she said she'll reassess when she gets there. And
coming up to thirty, I was like, this is this
(05:03):
just feels like a nice sentiment, like let us just
wait for something.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
It's so true.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
So, I mean, we both turn thirty this year, and
I think it's sort of a time you do look
back at your life and your beauty and kind of
your visage going forward, and it's really refreshing to see
somebody go, you know what, you don't need to be
doing all that before you turn thirty, before you turn forty.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Yeah, you don't need to do it at all.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
You know, it's really up to you and I think
that's not a message we've seen from celebrities in a
long time. So if this is the collab I didn't
know I needed, and I'm immediately obsessed.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Yeah, it's something so simple, but I was so excited
when I saw it. I immediately sent it to all
my friends and said, I need this. This is my
Christmas present.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Exactly, Linees and Frank Green. Guys, I'm sure you've seen
it all over social media. It's kind of the ultimate accessory.
It's I feel like, also a new take on the
phone case road lip bar, Yeah, combo, but this time
it's my emotional support water bottle, which I'm so grateful for.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
And then on top of that, you've got a lip
gloss holder basically with linage lip gloss attached to your
water bottles. Anywhay you take your water bottle, you've got
your lip gloss with you.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
So if one of the things I can't get over
about this collection is the color range, I'm dying for it.
They have sugar glaze, cinnamon, sugar and peach glaze of
their glaze craze tinted lips. Say that ten times quickly.
Speaker 5 (06:11):
I feel like these two brands coming together, I mean
makes sense. We've got Frank Green, who had that huge
and still does the huge gen Z cult following, you know,
made plastic disappear and brought out these huge drink bottles
that everyone wanted to have even though there were sixty dollars,
and really they just made water cool again and looking
after yourself and self care cool. And then you got
Lenage who obviously we've had lip glosses before, and we've
(06:32):
had the sheets that you put on your lips when
you're doing the face masks, but they brought out the
sleep mask in the container, and every single girl wanted
to have one.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
And now coming together just makes so much sense.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
It does so image made in heaven.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
I say that's it for the beauty edit for the week.
Now back to Lee and Kelly with all your beauty dilemmas.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I couldn't help for wonder ask me anything. You ask
plenty questions.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Why are you so weird?
Speaker 6 (06:57):
Everyone needs to go to our YouTube channel like and
subscribe and look at Lee's dress because she's wearing bright blue.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
She doesn't wear color.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Like bright colors that are so uncomfortable.
Speaker 6 (07:07):
I've already told her twice that when she doesn't want
that dress anymore because she gets over things very quickly.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
I will have it.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
It's a bright this is not nothing to wear, by
the way, it's a bright floor length knit aqua dress.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
It's not aqua that is bright blue.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
It's not blue. It's it's so gorgeous. It's like a
thick knit cooky. What at six dollars thrifted? You can
have it. I'll take it off right now.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
She literally will.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
We were talking about that not long ago, that she
will take anything off that like, yeah, anyway, she will.
Just if you compliment her on something, she will give
it you, which is why I've said now four times,
I really like that.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
I'm gonna be naked on YouTube. Thanks to you. All Right,
we answer your questions on Mondays. We love helping, so
let's kick things off. I might read this one because
it was a damn you gosh.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
I was.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Yeah, she's excited. Now, Kelly, I'm trying to find a
way to reduce my dark blonde slash light brown foils.
I think they used a tone or a semi from
fading to the yellow blonde under it. I would love you,
beauty to cover how you can actually cover over blonde
to get back to your natural color like dark blonde
or light as it seems impossible going to the hairdresser.
(08:13):
They said perms won't work. I mean I think she
means permanent. Yeah, she means getting a perm on top
of that would not help, as it will fade out warm.
Nothing they use seems to.
Speaker 6 (08:22):
Hold though, Well, nothing will because the thing about bleached hair,
which is they need to use a certain amount of
bleach to lift your hair, which is how like when
you get blonde toils, that's what they're using.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Because they're removing the color from the hair shaft, and
so nothing will because it's just then like this dry, porous,
dead hair. Absolutely nothing will stay. It will all fade
unless you go black, but you don't want even then
it's going to fade though, it's going to be like
a weird gray with green tinges underneath.
Speaker 6 (08:55):
Everything on our blonde will fade. So then it's not
like they're lying to you and trying to get you
to come back in and spend all your money. Everything
is going to fade. What I would do if any
interim of like, cause I get what she means though,
Like when your hair is growing out and you don't
want to go back in and get foils every four
to six weeks because it's expensive and you're trying to
(09:15):
grow it back out.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Even the tona or semi professionally done it every you know,
depending on how much you wash your hair.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
That's expensive exactly. But you are going to have to
do something at home.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
At home.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
You can totally do it at home.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
I'm not a blonde, so I don't know, but I
must say it's similar to for a brunette. For me,
I guess, well, great, even my grays I need to
cover at the roots. But even my brown, like my
brown's fade and I had ballyage would go brassy. Like
every color needs maintenance. It's just in a different way, yes, exactly.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
So that's the first thing that the hairdresser is not
like just saying things because it sounds like, oh, I
just want to get it to my natural color, like it.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Shouldn't in theory, you think it shouldn't.
Speaker 6 (09:52):
Be that hard alas it really is, and you're going
to have to consistently use something while it's growing out,
and even then probably for a while and maybe forever,
because you might not actually love your natural.
Speaker 2 (10:03):
Colors a lot of people are kind of a mousy,
grainy gray. Yeah, it doesn't have much vibe what to
do in terms of what to you. You definitely never
do a permanent either, otherwise you will have a very
harsh line where your roots grow out. And then you
still need to get your color done because it's they
can't exactly color much to your natural color exactly. Yes,
so what does she do at home?
Speaker 6 (10:22):
She uses a gloss. Now, the rule of thumb that
I've always gone by. A headdresser taught me this when
I was in high school, and I've just always remembered it.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
If anything involves, like if anything that you.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
Purchase from the supermarket or your hair house, warehouse or wherever,
if it needs to be mixed, it's permanent. So even
if it says semi permanent or something like that on
the box, however they're using marketing. If you are mixing
two ingredients together, that is activating.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
It because they can't premix it because yeah, yeah, yeah,
I get it.
Speaker 6 (10:57):
So it's going to be permanent. And so when they
say semi, what they simply mean is that it is
going to grow out or that it is going to
fade out.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Yes, a gloss is.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
An actual wash out in tint that isn't going to
damage your hair. It is just a wash of color.
They're not very strong, but that means it's not anything
that you mix. It's literally just like in a tube.
In a tub, you generally need a fair bit of
it because you've got to coat every single strand and
do you apply it like a hairmuff, yes, yeah, and
(11:26):
like you have to do them a fair bit. So
find one that you really love and potentially can afford.
When I used to do Box diye blonds back in
the day, I would do Semi's purple like proper purple tonas,
which is a gloss basically, and I would have to
do them probably every fortnight.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Okay, like me with my grays.
Speaker 6 (11:48):
Yeah, because it just faded back to this awful orange that.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Does because it as pules wash out every time.
Speaker 6 (11:54):
You wash your hair, exactly so and even just like life,
I think, yes, just live just being out, Life just
washes you out, it does.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Do you know that any specific one?
Speaker 6 (12:04):
Yes, So this is quite I personally don't do this.
So this isn't a personal recommendation of any of these products.
So I would say, if you want someone that can
give you advice of what they've personally done. Go join
the You Beauty group if you're not in there already,
and just ask, because there will be someone that's done this.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Hello, there's eighty thousand people exactly, probably five hundred people.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
But the ones that I found that have good reviews
are the Josh Wood and we actually had him on
the podcast a couple of months ago, so we will
link that in the show notes.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
He's incredible, Mecca, very popular overseas, excellent.
Speaker 6 (12:40):
He's got a hair gloss. Then there's the Paul Mitchell,
the Demi color gloss from a hairhouse warehouse, and then
on a door you can get the Christopher Robin shade variation.
They're all quite expensive, like they're all above thirty dollars.
So there's also the swash goof live glosses that you
just get like these are the purple ones that I
(13:02):
was talking about back in the day that I just
used to use. However, there's not as big a color range.
But if you're just after like a light brown, yeah,
just go give that one a try. Just if the
first time you use it, maybe don't leave it in
as long as it says and just see what it does. Yeah,
get to know it and then kind of customize it.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
I can't really comment on the blonde thing, but when
I do have my baliage, it goes quite brassy and
I use a Davrose. They have got like a cool
blonde tinted conditioner. It's fantastic and you're right, but I
probably did it once every two weeks.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Something like that as well.
Speaker 6 (13:34):
You know how you can get brown shampoos and yeah,
just have that little bit of pigment in it. Yeah,
something like that. If you just start using it regularly.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Go into a prehouse warehouse whatever, those like you know,
like salad with the head expert people and talk to them,
because that's how I found that one. And then I
also tried another one from one of those stores. It
was actually really good. I would have never known what
to look for. This all different weird terms and he
said try this and that, and I liked one and
I loved another.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
But you definitely don't have to go into the headdresser
every month while it grows out, but you do need
to be consistent at home otherwise it is just going
to be like this faded brassy yeah, half head if
you were.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
Growing any color up, there's notice one and done and
then it all matches.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
Ever ever, alas, it would be nice because regardless, it's
still going to fade to the blonde.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Done.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Yeah, anyway, it's just a very long process. Just cut
your hair.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Off then, yeah, just shave your head.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
I would.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
I'd love to shave my head.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
I don't think you would.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
I would.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
I feel like, do you have a really small head?
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I have a timey head. Yeah, that is really mean.
It's n nice to have an undercut. I won't shave
my head.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Would you rather say you've got a big head. I've
got a really big head.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
You do have a big head? I do.
Speaker 6 (14:40):
I had to get the I had to go to
the bloke section when I graduated because another girl hats
fit me.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Oh I know. I was like, well, this is sexist.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Maybe your brain's really big. Could you please tell us
about it? Oh? I can't.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
This was a great question that we got out of
the Facebook group. I am looking for a new concealer.
I'm forty eleven years old.
Speaker 4 (15:04):
I do you know.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
I had to read that two times to get it.
It could be a type her, but it's just really old.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
No.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
I think she means fifty one.
Speaker 6 (15:12):
Oh oh wow, you didn't even get it, like you
would say that you're thirty fourteen. Okay, I don't know. Yep,
she's got much it's thirty fourteen. Yeah, that's what you
would be juggling work, teens, perimenopause, and life in general.
I always look tired and feel it too, if I'm honest.
Oh my god, speaking of Lee's just having a.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Big old yawn.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
It was me asked this question.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Ah, I caved and bought a spendy I cream at
Mecca today, but I'm also looking for something magical to
hide the dark circles.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
I'm your friend, I'm also perimenopause. I'm very tired. I've
been you on in this whole episode. So sorry, Lightweight
Cancila is your friend. We get more mature and wise
in our age, we get more tired, our eye area
shows more signs of fatigue and life, and we think,
give me the heavy duty stuff. No, no, no, that
is very bad, not a good idea. Well hey, hey, hey,
(16:02):
all right, wait, all right, miss in her thirties. You
can talk to me about it later.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
I'll let you finish.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I'm gonna let you finish. But these are hold on.
These are the best concealers of all time. I, as
I have increasingly needed help in this area, have tested
forty eleven concealers and I have found the best ones
are lightweight, serumy type concealers that are also brightening. I
have a spending and a savy for you. There are plenty,
but I just would stay away from your heart shaped tapes.
(16:30):
Even Oh heavens NAS Radiant forget it way too much.
Trust me, girl, you want to go lightweight feels counterintuitive.
I changed hollywaen Right's life with this advice our savy. Today,
I've brought your ontel for a Monday, which doesn't often happen.
So the savy is revolution, which I love and I
haven't talked about.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
For a while.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
It's called the Revolution at Skin, Silk, under Eyebrightener and
Concealers eighteen dollars. You can get it at the price line.
I've talked about it a bunch of times. I think
when I did an episode with Meds which you might
want to listen to, we will link it in the
show notes where I talked all about this eight life
stage and beauty, skincare and makeup for us people. Very lightweight.
Speaker 6 (17:08):
Well yuck, that sounded sores coming out. Why was it
so moist?
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Ugh? Anyway, I love this. This is light peach. There's
different shades and it's just so it feels like you're
putting on an I cream or a serum, but it's
got coverage and is so brightening. Then I went to
a launch for something completely unrelated to what I'm gonna
tell you a couple of months ago, and I sat
(17:33):
next to this most amazing makeup artist. Realized we followed
each other on Instagram but never met irl. Thus is
life these days, and I must have been complaining about
my own rites. I was sounds about right, and she said, oh,
you've got to try a French face. And I was like, oh,
what what is a French face? And she said, you
know Maxine's French Face, Maxine's Revenge. And I was like,
what are you talking about. It's an overseas brand. They
(17:54):
do two products and one of them is a concealer.
So this is called Maxine's Revenge French Face. It's thirty
six dollars but plus international shipping. I'm sorry, don't shoot
the messenger she made it for.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
You wen't talked about this before.
Speaker 6 (18:06):
Oh I have not.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I was gonna talk.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
About it on Friday, and then we've got this. I
was like, well, I'm also in forty eleven and I
really like it, So you have to guess you're own shade.
And it is an eye and face concealer concentrate because
you know it's called a French face because you know
how that you just go, oh, this is no makeup makeup,
no makeup makeup. They're so beautiful, a bit unkempt, but
like perfect. That's what this is about. A bit thicker
(18:29):
than my revolution friend. I'm trying to show you a
little bit here. Okay, actually I think I got a
shade slightly too dark, but it's flexible and also you
can buy a little sample one. So while I was there,
I got a sample of the shade lighter.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Actually that's right.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
That one's better brain fog in terms of color. But
it is again like this really flexible can foundation, can
us and conceala, really juicy in hydrating but then it
sets but is radiant. It is so nice. I'm sorry
about the international shipping mecha. Can you bring this to Australia?
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Is someone brightening though?
Speaker 2 (19:00):
No it's a concealer, oh eye, and just a good
lie and face concealer. But it feels like a seam
putting it on, very hydrating and stays radiant. But not
like like how we feel about creaseless. Not not like
we can't say something it's creaseless, but it's pretty creaseless.
Speaker 6 (19:14):
She could use a revolution underneath for the brightening and
then pop that over the top for more coverage.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
She's sure could. I can't be bother doing two steps,
so I do what or the other? Or all right,
lady in your thirties, give us what you got.
Speaker 6 (19:26):
Well, yes, like it should be noted that I'm obviously
young and real four No, I'm just I am younger, so.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
You know, makeup a lot.
Speaker 6 (19:34):
I do have a makeup, and I do think that
a lot of these could probably work. It just depends
on what you're using your skin prep and also how
much you're using. So the smash box becker under a
brightening corrector that Lee and I have spoken about so much,
you stuffed.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
It up the first time you used it as well,
way too much.
Speaker 6 (19:51):
You literally need a cheer sized amount of this product,
a cheer seed.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Yeah, and you need to what even is a cheer
without the seed?
Speaker 6 (20:00):
What is am it up between your fingers before you
start pressing it into you underrighte. Otherwise it'll look caky,
It'd be way too much.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
It'll look hat pat. It's not a swipe swipe swipe.
Speaker 6 (20:09):
Yeah, I would actually say that about all under eye concealers.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
It's a pat situation. You don't swipe it.
Speaker 6 (20:14):
You just press it into the area that you want
to brighten, and then you go in with your products
over the top. Another option that I have absolutely fallen
in love with this year that it is a lot
easier to use is the Bobby Brown correct stick.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Way too drying from atua skin.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
It's dewey, af No, I've got dry skin.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Okay, continue, I think that it could be worth trying, Like, yeah,
trying Sodamira David Jones and swipe it on your finger
and then pattern.
Speaker 6 (20:41):
I've got the peach shade like, I don't use it
as a concealer.
Speaker 4 (20:44):
I just use it.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
I take it back, Excuse me, I was thinking we
were talking concealer, Yes, a little bit of the peach.
Speaker 6 (20:49):
So when I talk about all of these recommendations, I
mean purely for brightening not for like for concealing, yes,
but so I don't use them in the outer perimeter
over my fine lines area, which is potentially where some
of these could get really drying. I'm literally just using
it in the inner portion of my eye where that
dark sun low yes spot is.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
You should be watched on YouTube, because Kelly just pointed
quite like instructively to the areas. And then I realized
I was tickling myself, which is what I do when
I get tired. So I'll stop doing that.
Speaker 6 (21:21):
Keep going okay, you can keep ticking yourself while So
all of these options they're not for the outer portion
of the face because they're also really they've got peach
and pink undertones. They're purely just for brightening up that area.
So the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish, that one's fifty two dollars.
That comes in a bunch of different really brightening shades
depending on your skin tones. So if you've got a
(21:42):
deeper skin tone, you go for a really nice bright
orange shade. If you're fair, you go for the really
light peachy pink.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
There's it really entertaining. I keep no like, I'm really
enjoying this.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
And then on Friday, I recommended this is the only
affordable one. The Luminance under eye Brightener. Oh yeah, that
one's that really light pink once again, though you're only
using it in that tiny little portion that gets dark
and like just makes you look really tired when it's
not bright. Finally, there's one that I haven't tried, but
I have seen so many good things about it, and
(22:14):
I'm waiting for it to launch here in Australia so
I can try.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
It's the tart colored clay.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
In a few months ago. Remember I bought it illegally
and well not really about it on Amazon America and
she had it. I've got it.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
I've got to here is it? Oh? Do you love it?
Speaker 2 (22:27):
I love it? I forgot it, lady, I mean ask her.
I love it. Yes, it's the under I correct to
see it again. Do you remember I want to try it.
Speaker 6 (22:35):
I wasn't that interested at the time, obviously, please get it. Well,
I read so many reviews about this when I was researching,
and everyone said it was amazing.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
I'm back. Everyone will want to watch that on YouTube.
So a few months ago, I don't like me forgetting Kelly.
We've had a lot on I was like, am I
allowed to talk about this because I brought it off
Amazon because I hadn't launched in Australia yet, And of
course I am. I'm just an idiot who paid for
a lot of shipping. She's right, it's the tart CC
corrector dude, we played with?
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Oh it did?
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Yeah? I agree. Sorry if everyone on YouTube's on my butt,
I agree. Oh it's so good, but I only use that.
I don't use anything on top. I'm old and crusty
and tired.
Speaker 6 (23:13):
But you don't need to because it's a very one.
It is peachy, but it's also ciilery. Yeah, it is
so good.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
If it's not coming here anytime soon, Hey Tart, can
you tell us Tart please?
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I'm we put it on this pimple too, because why not?
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Why not? I would pay the international shipping because that
is one step that like and it's so good, and
now Kelly's putting it on a.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
Chin And when you find a product that's that good,
that does a bunch of things, you're going to pay
for the shipping, and you know what, you shit on
tit a lot.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
So no, I just don't like.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
I also didn't like the blow one that I bought in.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
I like radiant creamy is okay, that's the math.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
That is so good. Yeah, I love it.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Well, that really woke me up. I forgot Okay, Well,
before we share our beauty bites, we were sent a
beauty bite by Ubi, which I love and I'm going
to share.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Please if you have one, send them.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Ye, send us your beauty bytes, like which is just
like a fancy word for a tear. For a recommendation,
this person said, cost of Living crisis dot dot dot.
If you're at a pinch for a face roller or
need a quick ice solution for puffy eyes, put a
banana in the freezer. Maybe have a banana in the freezer.
Speaker 6 (24:22):
Before a lot of people do, because you when they
if you don't want to make banana bread then and there,
but it's getting too old, you put in the freezer.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Sounds absolutely mad, I know, but a frozen banana is
the perfect shape and contour to give your eyes and
face a quick eye solution before you run out the
door in the morning. I chop up my bananas before
I put them in the freezer. But now I'm going
to get a banana around and roll it all over
my face. She actually will please film it for us? No,
I will, yes? Good God girl, I gave my cat
a cucumber. It didn't even jump.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Oh same much. I'm so upset. I was like, be
scared of the cucumber.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Yeah, what's your beauty butte?
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Okay, my beauty bite is.
Speaker 6 (24:55):
I feel a little bit ridiculous because I'm recommending a
brand that I also talked about on Friday.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Just say it so for context.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
On Friday I spoke about I brought it into plays,
the new Beat, the new Natasha Ganona Foundation that Lee
and I had both been trying to get our hands
on for thought.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
I was going to go have and order it. Now,
what if it's sold out since then?
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Sorry?
Speaker 6 (25:17):
Anyway, while I was ordering it, I also saw a
new palette and because they were having one of their
flash sales and I was twenty percent off, I know, right,
I was like, it's for the research, It's for the research.
And I always like to buy myself a palette around
the silly season because they've always got so many beautiful launchers.
So I bought the Natasha to Nona I Sculpt, Texture
and Tone Palette. I bought it in the box still
(25:39):
because I needed to But why it's my beauty bite
is that I just thought at this time of year
when people want to like amp up their beauty routine
because they've got different parties to go to, or you're
looking for something to put on your Christmas wish list.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
Like when you've got friends of him being what do
you want?
Speaker 1 (25:56):
I'm hard don't know.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
It comes with the most useful shade placement sheet, And
I just thought, if you can get a product if
you're beginning, you're trying to teach yourself how to use eyeshadow. Firstly,
we always sort of say, oh, go grab something really
affordable so that if you don't love it, it's easy.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
But quality is easy to learn with.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
And that's what I was thinking and the reason why
I was just so willing to part with my cash
because full price it was one forty eight dollars for
this palt.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
How many palettes, I mean, how many colors would Oh
my god, Kelly, that is me.
Speaker 6 (26:29):
It is beautiful, is beautiful. It's a neutral palette. This
is also just like the perfect neutral palate. You if
you love a buy another palette ever, again, that's fine.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
You know what it is.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
It's like the makeup by Murray Master Matt's palette, which
is now like one hundred and fourteen dollars. I will add, well,
this has also got these shimmers in it and the foils,
like the soft foil Lee shades, so it's like Master
Mats plus the foils in all of the shades. It
is just the most perfect palette. And if you wanted
to learn, I actually think it is better to get
something where the product is really easier to work with.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
There's sixteen colors. That's good value, sir, I was trying
to count them.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Well, if you're going to use them, it is.
Speaker 6 (27:05):
It's still really expensive given that you could get a
Revolution palette for like twenty five dollars. But the quality
with the it's not the same. Yeah, I love Revolution,
but the quality is not the same. These are buttery.
She formulates every single shade individually, so it's not like
she'll just do all of.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
The Mate shades and then like put the different in.
Speaker 6 (27:26):
No, every single shade has a different formula, no matter
whether it's a mate, whether it's a foil where it's
a metallic to get it so perfect so that there's
no fallout.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
It's just they're so blendable. And buttery. They're perfect.
Speaker 6 (27:40):
I really like the instructional, and I just thought, if
you can get something that also then has like it's
got the eye shape, it's got all of the colors,
whether or not it's neutral weather and its rosy tone
to whether or not it's yellow toned. Like, it's just
perfect and it makes things so easy. So sorry to
plug Natasha, Natasha, if you're listening, Natasha.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
She just had to make it an official tax right off, Like, honestly,
I'm just so yeah, I really can do that now.
Speaker 6 (28:09):
I just I'm so impressed, and I just thought something
like this would be so helpful as well for other
brands to implement.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
I know it's an additional cost, but so I want.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
That sheet with over one hundred dollars eye shadows exactly.
I'm so well, I'm not gonna buy that. I might,
I'm not.
Speaker 6 (28:24):
It's a good Christmas present when you ask rich because
it is you and a palette as well.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
No, he takes my son to Kmart because Alexander knows
I love makeup, and then he picks always came Up
makeup because he picked it, and then he goes put
I love make it feel good.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
And I love came up, but for Christmas, I'd be
up per set. If that's what Lennie got me.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Well, then's rich knows to get a real one.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Okay, actually does he?
Speaker 2 (28:43):
Anyway, My beauty bart of the week is not product related,
but well actually it is. I can reveal the single
best product you can use ever ever, Oh, sunscreen. The
reason I'm bringing that up is obviously I can't recommend
anything specific because TJA will put me in bad, bad jail.
(29:04):
This time of year, it's quite hot. Now you might
be going to the beach. I mean hopefully you wear
sunscreen all you around, particularly on your face. Maybe on
your body. You don't because of you know, winter and
where you live, but you might be going, Oh, it's
time to dig out the SPF. No, whatever you had
last year, your body SPF from life, rid of it.
Get rid of it. It does not last to the
next season. So now we go into our bathroom or
(29:27):
laundry wherever we keep all of that beachy stuff or
outdoorsy stuff. We put it all in the bin and
we go on buy new sunscreen please this time every year.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
That's actually a really good hack.
Speaker 6 (29:35):
Yeah, tip, I went to a I think people just
forget it this time of year as well, because it's
not winter anymore. But like we're still sort of coming
out of it, going, oh, it hasn't been for so long.
But I went to a wedding a couple of weeks ago,
so note the most ridiculous, crazy rich Asian wedding I've
ever seen in my life. It was so cool, it
was like the movie cool. And the amount of people
(29:56):
that rocked up at the reception bright red. Oh no,
I mean everyone was having it. They were all good
humored about it because it was their silly fault for
not wearing sunscreen.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
But honestly, the reason I thought it was because we just,
you know, I always this time here a little bit earlier,
I get we've got like a beach bag. Now, I
just keep like all Alexander's essential sort of in it.
And then we chuck new towels and stuff. And my
husband was like, oh, yeah, there's all the sunscreen from
last year. I'm like, that's got a third in it
that's already been open. Nope, get rid of them. And
he's like, oh, but how do you know, And I'm.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Like, well, it's wasteful, but it's not worth risking.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
No, it's not worth risking it. I bet they've been
in the car for too long. Sometimes we keep them
in their laundry sort of thing where it gets hot
and humid. If you've opened a sunscreen from last year,
chuck it out and get a new one right now.
Love that my job here is done. Read us out.
Speaker 6 (30:37):
On that note, we'll be back on Friday with Spendy
Sabee And in the meantime, if you want to go
join the conversations in Facebook or on TikTok on Insta, please.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
We would love to have you.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Fairly well, fairly well, goodbye.
