Put down that expensive eye cream and listen up! Kelly and Leigh are back, swooning over everything from bougie double-wick candles that "waft differently" to serums that made Leigh's face tingle so hard she had to frantically Google whether she'd just destroyed her skin in a hotel room (spoiler: she woke up looking fantastic).

The duo's K-Beauty obsession reaches new heights as they marvel over ingenious "baby trampoline" applicators and microscopic spicules that transform skin overnight. Between turtle neck tangents and candle critiques, they hunt for skin magic and why Kelly's rationing a $209 serum to "maybe twice a week.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Glad that's not fashion.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Oh, she's got some thoughts about my bright grained vests.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
I love the vest, but then it's over a black turtleneck.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
It's very nineties.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Were you boobs extra cold?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Okay, from there we go.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
I just wanted to add a pop of color today
because you also have a pop of color on except
imagine if we're going to an event together, very different vibe.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
We are actually meant to be together. So on Fridays
we bring you our spendies, our savings, something brand new
you and something that we've loved so much with maybe
even finished.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
What would you like to start with, Kelly, I'm gonna
start with my spending because I want you to have
a whiff.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Oh yeah, please, I'd love to.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Spendy baby, spandy Baby. My Spendye is new and limited edition,
which is annoying.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I know that means I'll love it because I always
love limited edition.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
I don't know. I really am unsure what you're going
to think about this. It is the Circle Home candle
in honeysuckle and for Aenjopanny. As soon as I saw
for en Japanny, I was like, I know I'm gonna
love it.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah, I love it.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
I love anything with friend. I don't know how I
feel about honeysuckle. I don't love honeysuckle, but I suckle
anything with fan Japanny and it probably like dials it
down a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Oh wait, loved it then didn't love it?

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Love it?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Love it?

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Just you got to imagine remember with a candle. It's
very hard with candles because you're never sniffing it like that, right,
that's true. It's how it wafts around. They permeate, they do,
but never with that.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
It's a double wick.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, they aren't all candles these days, No, bougie bitch,
Some of mine just have one single wick. Actually, do
you know what my more expensive ones are? Only one wick? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I think one wick's like chic, like dip tick vibes
and bays. Yeah, and then three and now maybe two
is like the cool new wick amount. I like this
like semi frosted glass thing because it's great for brushes
and stuff afterwards, Zach, I love it.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
I just think it's real. I haven't for Enjerpanny doesn't
get put in that many candles, even though it's so beautiful.
I don't know why, or honey steals like eulangulang something
like within that tropical family, but not too I don't
want to smell like a min Fiji.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
And also I barely like candles in summer, but it's
a sam ascent and I'd like them more in winter.
So maybe that's why they're not in many candles, because
it's more of a winter home nesting situation. That's really beautiful.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
It's so lovely. So it's three hundred and fifty grams,
which is huge, like it will last you a long time,
forty four ninety five. That's pretty good, right it is,
But it's still my spendy because I remember the days
when you could get a good candle for like thirty bar.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Oh yeah, back in mine, back in.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Mine can before the cost of living crist took us
over all.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Right, My spendy is the Heartwood Royal Revival Indian Sandalwald
hydration serum. Have you used any Heartwood?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
I thought it was candles. What I'm not yours?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
It's a candle. No, I thought that brand was a candle.
Oh no, it's like a natural brand that does lots
of things. Maybe they do candle.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Let me google that because I is the brand Heartwood,
Heartwood Hotwood candles. I swear they used to do a
wick candle.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
They have face, body Sense, jewelry gifts. I'll click on
the gifts.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
They do have candles.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
You've just got candle.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
That's a different brand to Maybe they're both called Heartwood.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Well does it look like this branding?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yes, they do candles. Maybe they started as candles, and
that's why I know them. I say candle one more time, candle, candle, candle.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
So this is just a really beautiful hydrating serum. Do
you need to spend hundred dollars? No? Do I love it? Yes?
It's got seven reviews on the way because it's relatively new,
but five stars. It's just so juicy and delicious, really lightweight,
so like almost like an essence. It smells like if
you're going for a walk in the forest, do you

(04:23):
think almost nothing.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
It's just almost nothing, but with like a tang of
a wet leaf.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, it's got a wet leaf, but not like a
moldy wet leaf. So honestly it's a They say it's
a microcloud of moisture that prevents the transdermal water loss,
so you know how we get all dehyderate a particularly
in the winter.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
This is so nice.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
The slugging for layering, it's good for anti redness if
you've got any sort of irritation. See how it just
drives down to nothing but juicy, beautiful. I actually really
love this brand.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
But I would definitely use that as like my essence step.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Though you oh in winter though I would do like
toner essence. This then another serum like at night, I
really drench your skin so nice. They've got a really
nice cleansing bum too, So check out the brand in
general because Kelly seems to like their candles.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
They used to do a woodwick candle and it would
make it. We still do, and like crackles, it was
really cool. Oh like a fire. Okay, let me have
a look save these?

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Oh what you got?

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Save you sav savy? Do you know what? My sav
is actually pretty new as well. The cover Girl True
Blend skin enhancers.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
I've not heard of these.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Oh my goodness, they are mean are products?

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Show me.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
I bought two in because I thought you might like
to see some of Can I keep one? Do you
know what? You probably can? You can keep the bronze one. Okay,
you can't keep the open one because I've been using
it a lot.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Bronze glow. What is this?

Speaker 1 (05:46):
It's like a skin finisher, skin luminizer. I put it
on before with enhances, so I put it on before
any base product.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
So almost like a primer step after a primer for
me far out long ago.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
It is twenty three dollars full price. At the time
of recording, it's half price eleven ninety eight.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Oh that's delicious.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I'm surprised you don't chemist. I do. I was just
trying to be nice, I do. I just opal is
my favorite because I'm fair.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Okay, look, I think I can afford to purchase some
for myself.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Please look at how beautiful that is.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Yeah, that's gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
That's just like a wash of It's not like there's
nothing sparkling is just a true It's almost like a
skincare product. It's a very expensive formula. Like it looks
very expensive, but it's not the price like it's very surprising.
Usually something that's twelve dollars to me look good shitter. No,
it would just have a bit of glitter in it
to help it along or something. This does not.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
It is just a pure like you put that in
Laura Mercy and you'd be like, totally exactly in her packaging,
you'd be like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Charlotte tilb break just anything that just does really beautiful.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
So good?

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Right, Oh okay, I want one, really really good.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I want both of them.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Comes in a bunch of shades I just brought in.
There's more than two.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah, it's so sheer that like you could use it
on anything, depending on if you want like glow or
deepness or whatever.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
That's so good.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
What's yours?

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Oh my god, I'm so in love with mar My Savor.
I love with the whole brand. So on my k
beauty and J Beauty train to Dull, I stopped off
at she glam Land. It's a brand called Shea Glam.
You can get it on all of the Kbaudy and
Jbauty websites. You can get it on Amazon, the w
cosmetics stores that are popping up everywhere. Habit, you're gonna

(07:27):
love this well, actually, I don't know. I hope you do.
This is the blush, but I also love the illuminator
and I love their lip plumping lipmum.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
I like the little packet.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Yeah, so see that's the blush. It's got like its
own little baby trampolining there and you can just go
pounce like or I don't because I'm a beginner. Why
do they do such cool things? Wait, like, play with
that while I tell you the price.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Those South Koreans don't know what they're doing in North Korea,
but in South Korea they're doing great things.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
This is called love cake. Let me tell you exactly
how much it is.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Oh, I that is. I love that. I love that.
I love that.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
This is the I bought this one on Amazon. I'm
trying to remember where I got it from. At the
time of recording, it is ten dollars and nineteen cents,
but full price, it's a whole eleven dollars and.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Ninety Look at that over the cover, girl, I'm not kidding.
Oh yes, the cheeks of an actual angel.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
This It doesn't have their like trampoline type dough foot,
but the illuminator is absolutely beautiful. Same packaging on the
outside though, so you can see that very trans small
transparent be there to know what product you're using. We
could open it and have a look. It comes in
eight shades. Oh it's a matte creamy finish. I think
it's not really Mattie Matt. No, that's not Matte matt

(08:37):
Just go on and check out Sheek. I'm in general.
It's my new favorite brand that I've discovered on this
train too. It's just so good. Twelve dollars, twelve.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Dollars after the break newbies, newbies for I'm going to
make that happen.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I'm into it.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Newbie, so anything else, but it's new.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
I just talked about my blush obsessions, so I woulant
you to do your newbie first. Please, I don't see nothing.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Well you're not looking very hard, then, are you, my dear?
Because it is right here it is brand new. Oh
actually it's probably been out for like two months. But
it is the Esmi Skincare hyaluronic face glow. It is
the skin treat, but bronzy glow addition. Now the skin treat.
If you didn't know.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Like if if you don't know, you don't knows.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
But so the skin treat is their cult hydrating beautiful
blue bottle, really iconic. I think it won the Serum
Award a couple of years ago. It's a lot of
it's just so good. They've boarded out with bronze.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
I know it's so yummy.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
So you've used it. If you don't want to use it,
actually show if anyone show.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
People, I would like to see your demonstration for your
tryout on the shopping channel.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Now it does sheer out dig you.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Did the lid up.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
I never do my lids up in their name, Otherwise
I would have then tipped it into I would have forgotten.
Now at first you go, oh, dear, little bit intense.
Remember it is your serum step.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
So you also, I've been using it on my decoltar utiful,
like would you look. I know that she's beauty and
she's grace she's on your face the jingle master. I
gave it to myself, but you are the jingle master.
That is beautiful. I've seen nothing yet.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
I just think it's incredible. So if you love the
original formula, you're gonna love.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Is it more expensive, No, sixty five dollars yeah, so
it should range you love one.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
You know all they've added some things in. They could
put it up, yeah, but they choose not to. Is
it limited?

Speaker 2 (10:37):
No?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Not, well doesn't say that it is, or I assume
it's not.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
I haven't put it on my actual face yet. I've
just been using it on my chest, but now you've
encouraged me, I might do.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
So if you're after a hydrating formula and you kind
of love the idea of because you if you just
put this on to do I mean, I don't care
what I look like, but if you care what you
look like? When if you're unning up to.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
The post yeah school run and like you look.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
I just wanted to use that very glowy I've been
on holidays vibe without being ten.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah no, it's just like everything you've
brought it off the candle, but the radiance and deliciousness.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
You know that's my middle name. Uh, what's you okay?

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Mind you be?

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Wow? What a journey.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I purchased this forgot what it was, and then I
stayed at a hotel a little while ago, and I
was packing at the speed of light, forgetting what I
was doing, running so late, and I was like, great,
I need a hydrating center. I do this a lot dinner.
So I go back to my room after dinner, I
do my skincare well, I washed my face, and I
was like, I just really need some hydration. No, well
I didn't need it, but like I was just planning

(11:36):
on having a hydrating night. Hence why I had this
and a night cream pump pump pump Delicious.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
So you hadn't tried it before, but you thought I'm
just gonna take it.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yeah, I bought it. Let me tell you where I
bought it. It's again another kbautjbut trend brand product, and
I had a million amazing reviews. Of course I read
about it when I bought it, but then I just
grabbed it and thought, great time to try something new,
because we're always trying to find time to try something
new when particularly makeup. We don't want it to look terrible.
This one you can get on Amazon as well, thirty

(12:05):
six fifty four, you can get it everywhere. It's the
co You're gonna know what I it is when I
say the name KOs Noriri p d RN Shot six
seven five. So remember well last year we were talking
about red or Shot, which is like a type of
I guess technology that has teeny tiny microscopic little needles
not needles, something from nature like.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Little bits correct.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
So I had tried read or Shot, different brand whatever,
but I just looked at this I think, I don't know.
I thought it was vitamin C or just hyde rating
because it's orange correct. Pump pump pump. Put it on
my face and I was like, oh, sweet baby cheese.
Is what have I put on my face? And it
is one of those read or Shot ones. So it's
so was it tingling tingly tingly, ting eatingly tingly, And
I was like, what do I do?

Speaker 1 (12:48):
What do I do?

Speaker 2 (12:48):
What do I do? And then I googled it really quickly,
and it was like, Okay, no, it's going to be okay.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
Because that's the problem sometimes with j beauty. Okay beauty,
you just look at it. Google.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
No, I had to google because or Google transa. I
knew i'd bought it and it was good. The reviews
were good, but I couldn't remember what it did anyway.
That's got six hundred and seventy five thousand high purity spicules,
tiny little things that we call it in there face
serum with high nutrition salmon DNA, So it's kind of
being like that salmon sperm thing, but it's not.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Actual summer do Your skin was tingling intense on.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Your first face essence, so you meant to use it
and then do your skin care on top. By the
time I googled it, the tingle had totally died down.
I had a bit of flushing, but I could tell
it wasn't irritated or reacting. It was I flushed quite
a lot. I put my night cream on, I went
to bed, and I woke up. Sweet Lord, my skin

(13:42):
was so smooth, so smooth, So I'd maybe use this
once a week. I would have done it in the
morning if I wanted a flawless makeup application, because it
was just so smooth and delicious. It is thirty six
dollars fifty four cents. It's not brand new to the world.
It's brand new to me, and I'm seeing it all
over social media, so I wanted to tell you all

(14:02):
about it. It's pretty great.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
You've influenced me to give it a whirl.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
It says it creates pathways that allow active ingredients to
penetrate this in deeply, providing noticeable improvements. It did if
you were really sensitive.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
No, not for you.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Not for you.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
But after the break, I'm going to tell you about
my well, I don't know, we'll talk about it off
to the break, shot mustache.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Okay, well do you want to go first? Considering that
was kind of clipbait and I don't know what you're
gonna say.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Well, you influenced me to try this, so it's shot
my stash.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
But it's not finished.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Well it's not. No, it's definitely not finished because i'm
using it. It's very expensive, so I'm using it like
tiny little amounts I get. Yeah, so shot my stash.
But I didn't shot my stash.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
I shopped from my recommendation.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Recommendation the skin sudicals hetox peptide cerm. This was one
of your top products from last year, top three of
full time, like an Oh my goodness, you're not wrong. Yes,
it is so good. It is so expensive two hundred
and nine dollars. I use it. I mean you can
use it twice a day. I use it maybe twice

(15:15):
a week. Oh that's not enough, but I use a
retinal product.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
It doesn't matter. This is no this is strengthening. It's
good for sensitives.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Would you put on over your retinal I use it
morning and night. Yep, okay, well I've noticed a different
just using it a few nights a.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Week, morning and night of just the health of my
glow if you put it on after your item and
seen in the morning. Oh my gosh, so you put
it on before your retinoal. I'm pretty sure I'll double
check that. I am going to start using it in
the morning. Man, my friends, it's so annoying because it's
so expensive. But the glow in the morning. See, I
was using only in the morning, and then I said,
I'm not using at night. And they're like for best
results because this serum is full of peptides and it's

(15:52):
called patiocs because essentially what it's meant to do is
help diminish those really fine creepy lines that had you.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Got injectibles hydrated.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Yeah, yes, if you get injectables that does your big
sort of static lines, but those little crapy lines and
little lines that injectibles wouldn't treat.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
And it's it's it's got a.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Million patents and amazing before and after and clinical studies.
The more you use, the better it gets.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Okay, well I'm going to keep on that trying.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I use it morning and night now, but I prefer
it in the morning because of the glow. Okay, all right, Sorry,
it's so expensive. If I could give everyone one in
their tax return.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
I would WHOA, that is generous.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Well, I'm not the government, so that's why I could
make up anything I want. Finished another one. I hadn't
been on this train for a while. Why do I
love training so much?

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Back on it?

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Because now we're both like on the train of saying
the word chain. But you tapecific instant hydrating mask. I
used to use this religiously years ago. Hadn't used it
for a long time, I think because it was getting
colder and I was rummaging around for nourishment and hydration.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
This is so good.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
It's just literally what it says on the tin instant
hydrating mask. You can whack it on and I often
sleep in it overnight because it can be like a
thick nice and it does your skin will drink as
much as it needs. And when I first put a
layer on my skin, it was like, thank you, I'm
so fast there. And then I can put some on
it goes okay, bad enough now, or you can do
it for ten minutes before a makeup or.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Just and then it said, please don't do that voice
again because it's terrifying.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Or you can do it post treatment. It's just a
really beautiful hydrating mask. And get it at Adoor Beauty. It
is seventy three dollars and it's one of those ones
I'll always have. I sometimes do it on my husband.
It's just great.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
It's got a lot of great review No one asked
for my opinion, and I feel like I've shot on
your empty the past two weeks. But I don't love it.
Why you know what it I think it is. I
don't think that it's enough in terms of like a really.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
You're not putting enough on?

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Oh I am intense hydration mask. Oh my god, you
influenced me, just like with the last.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Week, so people from my tiny bits I've left.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
The last week where I was like, oh the pineapple drink.
You influenced me to try that. You influenced me to
try this, and yeah, I just eat.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
It's a tiny because I don't have any left. It
should have gone thick out white, like if you look
at the before photos, you look like if you got
a nappersh cream on. That's how much you meant to
put on.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
I feel like I've put I'll get it a second.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
God, no, I have to.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
I've tried it twice or three times. I'll give it another.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
It's formulated to be rich in plumping, fine line, restoring collagen,
and protective skins similar squiline lilane. I thought said use
it on your hands, but it said keep it on hand.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Well, and you've clearly loved it because you've gone through
a bunch.

I’m Jay Shetty host of On Purpose the worlds #1 Mental Health podcast and I’m so grateful you found us. I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose.
