Speaker 1 (00:10):
So much. You're listening to Amma Mia podcast. Mama Mia
acknowledges the traditional owners of land and waters that this
podcast is recorded on Makeup is My Therapy. I'm in love,
I'm obsessed, and I don't even feel guilty about it. Hello,
and welcome to you, beauty. This is the daily podcast
(00:31):
for Your Face. I'm Kelly mccaren and I'm Lee Campbell
and it's Friday. So as we do on every Friday,
we talk products. Our favorite expensive product or you know,
more expensive than our safie product, something pretty new either
to the industry or us, and something we're loving so
much that we've nearly.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
Fished or we shopped it from a stash, either the
shop stash or our own. And this is the last
Friday that we won't be in our fancy new studios.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Hopefully, fingers crossed, well, we'll be in our fancy news studio.
That's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
If you're watching us on YouTube next time, hopefully you'll
see you in our lovely new studio.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Correct. All right, kel what do you want me to
do first? I'm going to start.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I want to hear about your SAVI first. Oh okay, please.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Hold spendy baby, Spandy Bay. You know how I like
buying things off Amazon. Yes, I bought this. I bought
it twice, but in different colors. It is the Lacquerine
serum boosted skin tint, so it's meant to be used
or it can be used many different ways as a
sort of very sheer foundation. I bought a lighter color
than this that I can use as a base, but
(01:32):
I probably need a bit more coverage. Then I bought
this shade and as someone else's really deep, so that
could be your skin color, and you can get your
shade if there's one for you to wears it all
over base. But I've been using it as a beginner
cream contour or cream bronze. Get a little bit on
my brush. It's just so glowy and juicy. That is beautiful,
(01:55):
isn't It's so shopping well done you Honestly, I love it,
and I like it's winter, so it's good if you're dry,
and even for me to get that dewey. But imagine
on a holiday and you're just like, oh so good,
fourteen a little bit just to see the green, I
would love you. I don't need the brush. I'm just
gonna put a little bit on my cape. Yeah. On Amazon,
it's phenomenal. Yeah, I know the jew It's so glowy,
(02:18):
isn't it beautiful? It is so I'm going to be
ordering that. You could probably wear it as a foundation,
so I'm I'm most that is thank you.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
The best quality saving I've seen in so long in
terms of makeup.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
That's a bit cool. I agree, I agree. I found
it only duly. Actually, I have no idea how I
found it, but I ended up buying it was in
one of your weird shopping vortex is where you. I
love a vortex. I read really weird reviews and I
translate them. I often find things too on like Reddit
threads as well. But for me as conbo even in winter,
my shade as a foundation is a bit too dewy,
(02:51):
but as a like contour bronze amazing. But for you,
as dry skin in your shade as a foundation ordering,
all right, what's your said? On Prime? Does it come
the next day? Yes? I literally found it a week
ago and then ordered two different colors and they came
two different days. All right, My saving is so boring.
Yours was so much fun. But it's helpful, I guess
(03:12):
it is the Bosses toss. Yeah, yeah, that like pharmacy
brand here here the pharmacy brand Kakadoo plum and lemon,
myrtle nourishing body wash or listen, any of the fragrances
would do. Oh my god, want to help with it
this winter? One liter of body wash.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
I mean at the time of recording, it's half price
at Woolly's eight dollars or sixteen dollars.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
So you didn't bring it in because it's a leater.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
It is so ginormous. But you don't always want something
expensive in your shower, or you want something that other
people can use that you're not going to get cranky about.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
But also that's not your child.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
My child likes to use body wash to clean his
cars in the bath the same.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
So it's to make concoctions or at concoction stage.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Please don't use my loxaton alm and shower oil for
your cars.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
You know what. You can use this, okay, because it will.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Literally even with you the washing of the cars or
the washing of stinky teenagers.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
If you've got stinky teenagers, it will last you so long. Okay.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
It is such a good affordable body wash that isn't
going to strip your skin.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
I don't know many people that like soap except for
my dad.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Yeah, I was going to say, your dad, my dad,
with that bloody yellow bar of soap yuck that leaves
it strips your skin.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
It leaves soap scum every it. It's so yuck. Yes,
soap is the most affordable show and probably the best
for the environment, but.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Not many people like it for sensory cleanliness, all different
types of reasons.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
The pubes yuck. Okay, okay, okay, we get it.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Anyway, this is a really really good affordable body wash,
huge pump hashes.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
I feel like I had a bunch in my stash
and now I've got none.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, well this one will last an annoyingly long time
if you want to know.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
This is very first world problems. But my little recess
shelf like that is in my shower bath situation isn't
wide enough for those really big bottles, and so say,
thin is it? This isn't that it's too thin. But
you could decant because I love decanting things.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yeah, I wouldn't do that. I just put it on
the floor because the toddler's going to use it anyway. Yeah,
that's my savor. As I said, boring but helpful to me.
I did not know that they did these sorts of products.
I thought they just did like a eucalyped the spray too,
That's what I thought.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
I used their oil to get stickers exactly exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
But no, they've got hand washed as well, like a
bunch of different products.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
You go, what's your spending? My spend is a cleanser
and it's a gel cleanser. It is, I promise, I've
Oh my god, I'm not so beautiful. The fenty's skin
cherry Coca cola dub poor purifier, gel cleanser. Right. Does
it smell like cherry?
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Give it to me. I need to smell. Cherry is
my favorite sniff? Is it like in something on? And
now it's too overpowering for me. I just you just
put your nose in it. You would, Yeah, that's true.
So they say you can you it's very cherry cola. Maybe, yeah,
I'd like that in like a I don't know something,
a lolli. So's cherry color. It says for combination dry,
(06:05):
normal and oily. I'm not sure about dry in winter
it's got aha glycolic only a little bit. And they say,
you can use it day and night. I would use it,
or I've only used it a couple of times twice
a week for me. There's also antioxidants, peptides, probiotics, probiotics.
It's really beautiful. And what I do is you know
how much I love the Benefit oil cleanser. Yeah, this
(06:28):
I've been using sort of in place of that, and
I just give it a really good massage on my
serpacious filaments because it's my forehead, nose, and chin that
get sort of the most congested and the very gentle
aha is just kind of munched that away, not stripping.
Really beautiful. If you had really oil liskin, you probably
could use it every day. But I've just got it
(06:49):
in my double cleanse routine rotation. It's pretty beautiful. But
it's expensive. Did I tell you how much it is? No? Well, actually,
I mean it's huge. It's forty five dollars. It's gonna last.
You can get months pharmacy cleansers for forty five dollars.
It's a beautiful glass jar like it's pretty smash Yeah,
and it's Rianna and we love her so really good.
If you're just kind of doing a twice weekly deep
(07:11):
cleanse or they say use it every day. I don't,
but you do? You what's your Sindy the.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Charlotte Tilbury lip cheat Contour duo. This is quite new.
She basically has come out with this, calling it shape
Where for Your Lips, which we love.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
It's thirty eight.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Dollars from Mecca or online.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Sorry it's dual ended. I'm sorry, excited, my goodness, sorry,
I just love her. You just had like a heart
attack slash orgasm.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
My very word, God, imagine if you had that condition
where some people just like spontaneously orgasm. I saw that
on grazes Anatomy once. I don't know if it's a
real thing. Wow, anyway, one side is slightly deeper.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
That is phenomenal already. The other side is a little
bit lighter. It is so creamy, you know, is goss
or balm if you want? That's exactly what I've got on.
Oh can I borrow that I have somewhere to go tonight?
That I need something nice like that? Absolutely not. Oh
it's really important, isn't that? Absolutely beautiful? Like that's what
I try to do when I'm doing a lip is
(08:10):
like a neody but a bit darker on the outside
and a bit lighter.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
And then because it really contours your lips, it makes
them look really juicy and full and plump and all
of those things that you want your lips to look at.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
God finds them.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
It is so good quality because sometimes I'm kind of like, ugh,
thirty eight dollars for a lip line are really you're
getting too true. But then the same week that I
got this, I actually bought a really really affordable lip liner,
thinking that it might be a good savior.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
It was not. So sometimes you get what you pay for.
It was just so like Pulley and but also creamy.
It's so dual ended eyeliners forever. Why haven't we had
dual ended lipliners? So smart?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
So it comes in four different shades depending on your
lip tone, so I'm fair. There's also medium, tanded medium.
You could do I mean, you could do any of them.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Okay, I'm getting it, like, but it's just genius, well done, Charlotte.
I just love it.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
Okay, after the break newbies, I've got a whole brand.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Oh the newbie, so anything else it's new. You're not
the only one with the whole brand. My friend, I
have I'm told that Mixer is the number one bodycare
lotion in Paris, well France, the whole of France.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
All I know about this brand is that friend of
the Pod Thursday episode Sarah Marie is the ambassador for
this brand.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
I did not know that. I've only just started using it.
So France's number one body moisture brand is finally available here.
There's a whole bunch of variants. So I've got this one.
This is the Pantheron Old Comfort body balm pump pump.
That's why I brought it. There's an orange one that
I think is I've left it at home because I've
half used it. Let me just double check. Oh yeah,
this is the one I like. I mean not that
(09:59):
I've tried this one, the Mixer, nice Cinamide Bright body Lotion,
so Lotion balm. And then I've got two other ones.
Can I try please? Yes? The other one I love
that I've been using at home is in a hub
and it's called sarahmide Protect and it's like that, yes, yes,
it's like when you've got really dry skin, because I've
got itchy dry skin at the moment, so I love
the big Tever used to this, no, because I'm using
(10:21):
the orange one. I'm sorry, sorry, yes, but I would
like to see the texture because the orange lotion is
very lightweight and lotiony, but feels hydrating. Armie, Oh that's
so lovely. Oh yeah, so that's a bit thicker and
more envelope. True, it's not like a body cream. No,
but then the big tub guy, the sarahmide Protect is
for very dry skin, and that's me at the moment.
(10:42):
I've been getting out of the shower damp, whacking that
all over and then putting a PJS on. These are
about thirteen dollars, I think Chemist Warehouse. Oh my goodness,
so France has been keeping a secret for us. I
feel like it's an unofficial France. Let did not know
that ls Yeah, so you can get it in Chemists Warehouse.
Now the whole brand.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
The other day, I was poking around Priceline the way
that you do, and I spotted what I assumed was
a new brand, because well, it had the signs new.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
I then did, yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
I know, and anyway, I did some like then and
there in the shop, I was like, I've not heard
of this brand. Beore, it's called Illy like lowercase. I
uppercase l L another lowercase I like, I love you,
but not anyway. I'm pretty sure from my research that
it's a price line in house brands.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Opening the link very affordable.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
You can get so many different tools, so you can
get brushes, makeup, remover pads, little paths. It does sing
you on the website as well.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Like face raises, satin nipple covers, like they've just got
all so clever, you know why, Like I like the
silicon ones that sometimes you need the finish of satin exactly,
like just make up, tweezes, all of those sorts of
tools and essential tools and essentials. Anyway, I purchased the
eyelash curler. Oh, I need a new one. I lost
(12:09):
my favorite one.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
It is so good, It is so easy to use
and feel how weighty it is. It feels so expensive
and it was thirteen or fourteen dollars.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Wow, this feels Casado style and it's the perfect curve.
Some of them aren't curved enough buying.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
But you know what blew my mind to the most
that I purchased a universal sharpener for nine dollars stop
actually genius. You know when you have a pencil like
your lip pencil and you have to sharpen it, and
you're hunting around for a sharpener. You finally find it,
you poke it in your Oh rats, it.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Doesn't fit, or you've only got a chubby one you
can't put your little one in, or the chubby pencil
you have isn't it's too chubby.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
And then you've got to hunt around trying to find
something else. This has got every size you could possibly need,
pretty much, I think for a pencil. Yeah, it's got
four different things sharpeners on it. Nine dollars getting it,
and it's got like the little proper case or it
catches them all so you don't need to do it.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Over the bin. Eat. Yeah, genius. Can I just say,
I've just looked at the website. I guess what I'm
going to get the makeup palette and Spatcheler two piece set.
So it's a tiny little metallic square and a spatul
like because if you like to premix your own things,
which we both do. I sometimes do on the back
of my hand, but because your hand's gonna like absorb
some of.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
The product, or because I often am doing my makeup
in my car, don't want to get it.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
On my hands. Just how you can wipe it clean. Genius.
You've spent a lot of my money lately.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
What a great heads up.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Everything's really affordable, by the way that the.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Purple, it's really fun. Yeah, I love it, love it.
After the break things we have finished or shopped for, Yeah,
I actually bought mine for the second time. Shup my stash.
What did you buy for the second time. I had
to go to Sephora the other day because you know
(13:57):
that's my job. I was spying something that I'll talk
about later maybe if I like it, because I wanted
to try it's new, and then I stumbled over to
the Sephora collection area because I love Sephora collection. That's
the in house brand, a bit like how Mechamax's Mecha's
in house brand or Illy is the price line in
house brand and models prefer I forgot how much I
(14:18):
love this, repurchased it. It is the so for her
best skin ever glow multi purpose concealer, luminous finish, something
something circles, I guess in dark circles, but in French.
I had this one hundred years ago and I forgot.
It's like a serum but with I've tried it before.
I love it okay with like really good coverage, but
(14:40):
not like it doesn't settle in my fine lines. It
makes my underreyes look like remember we had a few
weeks ago that lovely, poor tired lady that looked, yes,
this is what she needs. It's not going to like
gather No, and it does it exactly like fall in
fine lines or set and look cakey. Twenty eight dollars.
But when if you're gonna go look for it or
buy it online, make sure you get the glow one,
(15:00):
because there's one without the glow, which is good for
full coverage or you know, blemishes or whatever. But no
fund no, no, no, no no, So I repurch that.
God I bought so much. It's for in the mini section.
I need someone to I need a minder to not
let many of the minish. And there's always as you
try to pay for anything, so you just get stuck
out the mini tart. I just watch, that's so gorgeous,
(15:22):
like Minis Mini, Mini Mini, what's yours? I finished?
Speaker 2 (15:26):
I'm not sure if I've mentioned this product on the
pod before, but it's just finished.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
It. It is the Noturium Multi peptide rich cream. You've
mentioned it, then you got me onto it. Then I mentioned,
Oh god, yeah, that's right. It's so I.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Want to get what Naurian products I talked about because
I just have loved so.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Many fee too. Oh it's so good, that's.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Right, because I wasn't sure if you would like this
because it is just so rich.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
I use it at night. I couldn't use it during that.
I love using it during the day. I use it
for both.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
It is formulated with an advanced multi peptide blend. It
is so nourishing, really smoothing. It's one of the best
all round of creams I've ever used for dry dehydrated skin.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
I agree, And if you're dry under makeup, it plumps
your face. But for me, I just use it the
last step of my at night night and it's just so.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
It makes your skin so glowy, and it has it
not a spark, I swear, it's just got some sort
of in it.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
Yeah. Agree, that's why it's good for day. I wish
I could wear it for day because it makes your
skin look just amazing, like you've had a facial So I.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Will be repurchasing that forty nine ninety five from Notorium.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
I love Notorium and you can only get it on
the website. Yeah, don't care because I just love it. No,
I just telling people before they got to the shops. Okay,
