Speaker 1 (00:40):
They're in for spendy.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Sabe something new and I shot my stash or empty.
I'm so excited.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I was very naughty and didn't fill in my products.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yes, So I don't even know what she's got.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I went in last night to have a spy and
I was like, well, I don't know what they are yet.
I did see that you've got something from Victoria Beckham, though,
so please kick things off with your.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Spendy Spendy Baby, Spendy Baby.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
So my Spendye today is the Victoria Beckham Beauty Porta
Fino ninety seven Golden Shimmer Body Oil fifty meals one
hundred and sixty dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So there's a bit of a backstory with this.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
On Mamma Mia, I wrote a full review of Victoria
Beck and Beauty. So I went into Mecca to land
and break the fourth wall. I think it's probably a
lot of if you're a regular listener.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
You know, lie you also did it because you didn't
want to have to buy everything.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well, no, what I was going to say is that
often we're sent.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
The products ye free. You were not. I was not
sent the products for free. I asked, and.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I didn't get you were a denied be denied an
interview with Victoria.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah. Anyways, So basically it's like, you know, it was
so exclusive, limited, et cetera. So I was like, okay,
well I still need to go in, and.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
You're a gal committed. Yeah. So I went into Mecca.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I live in Melbourne for those people who don't know,
And so I went into the Burke Street. That's the big, big,
big three story store seen all over the It's incredible.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
So I went in there.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I spent an hour and a half and I honestly
would encourage anybody. I mean, little Mecca stores. Maybe it's
a bit different, but in this one, there was absolutely
no issue with me sitting at one of those makeup
counters going back and forth with the testers trying things
on all of that.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Did you tell them that it was your job?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Oh, so they literally didn't care.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Now, I had an amazing team member who, like I,
felt no pressure to buy whatsoever. It wasn't like someone's
hovering around.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
You being like trying to get the sale.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Granted, it's a very big store and there's lots of counters,
so it's not like there were heaps of people waiting
to have their turn. And the staff was so helpful
giving me tips about application, and you know, I'd ask
them questions about, oh yeah, and what are people saying
about blah, you know the foundation drops for example, those
one hundred and eighty five dollar foundation drops, which I
personally wouldn't recommend. They're just not my vibe, but a

(03:13):
lot of people are really raving about them. But the
team member was like, because it's got skin care in
the formula, it actually looks better after five to ten
minutes after you've applied it.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Are you talking about the body oil?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
No?

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Sorry, this was just a complete tangent.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
But long story short, I tried everything and I did
not buy this product yet, Oh you don't have it,
I don't have it? Is that a faux pa, I
don't know, so I actually walked out with a lipstick
oh on the day. But about recommending that, well, it's
not because this is something like I am going, I'm
buying myself this for Christmas, and I'm gonna have it,

(03:48):
and I'm gonna have the bottle engraved. You can get
free engraving in that store, so I'm gonna have something
engraved and I'm going to.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Keep the vessel.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
So essentially what this product is it is a fragranced
shimmer body oil, a dry body oil. So the fragrances
everyone's been raving about, the worry about and beauty fragrances,
specifically the Porta Fino. It's really expensive. We're talking like
four hundred dollars plus for a fragrance. This I feel

(04:16):
like gives me the taste of the fragrance because it's
quite like potent, like you put this on and that
fragrance is gonna last. It's an Italian, you know, Riviera
kind of inspired fragrance, a.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Bit of quatic. It's also got like a bit of citrus.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
It's what being on holiday on a yacht smells like
if I was holidaying with the Beckhams on the yacht. Okay,
that's what it would smell like, but it's in the
body oil. So at one hundred and sixty dollars, it's
like I can experience the fragrance.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
But it flashed me.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Back to I don't know if you remember the body
Shop had this shimmer body oil. I was a body
shop gour in high school. Like I'd love going in
there and buying makeup and the body products and stuff.
And Este Lauda actually have a very similar it's like
a shimmer body oil. But yeah, really like unlocked a
nostalgic memory for me trying this one on with the

(05:07):
body shop, which you can't even can't it's no. So
it's a very subtle. It's like, you know everything Victoria
Beckma beauty. It's like grown up, sophisticated, so it's not glitterery.
But it dries down as well, so it's a dry oil,
which means that it's not leaving like a you know,
like a greasy or a plumped kind of finish, which

(05:27):
is lovely sometimes.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
But I would do this if I've got a wedding.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
I would do this if I'm going out for lunch
and I've got my collar bones out, it dries down,
just gives the skin the most like beautiful light reflected,
gorgeous glow, while also smelling like the stunning fragrance. So
i will pop all the you know, the video and stuff,
but I'm going back in and I'm going to get
it engraved and then I'm going to use the glass

(05:54):
vessel as a like an incense holder or like a
diffuser read vibe like. It's something that I feel like
I'm going to keep as.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
A bit of a keepsake.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
So that's my Spendye.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
I love that my Spendye is not nearly as glamorous
my Spendye. Some of them are relatively new. The ember Lease,
which is a really famous French pharmacy brand makeup artists.
Makeup artists are obsessed with the og embre Leese cream,
like for under makeup. Anyway, what they've done They've launched

(06:29):
these radiant complexion creams. So it's kind of like the
cream but with extra extra tints basically, So I just
think that makeup artists are going to absolutely love these.
There's also a green one, so that's great for people.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Oh that would be fantastic for me.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Yes, And then there is for redness color correcting.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yes, if you have rosea shoal or you just tend
to throw more red in your skin. People tend to
love something that has a green base, like because it's
really good at color correcting because it cancels out the red.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
So this would be beautiful. Would you like to try it?
I would love too, thank you.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
So my favorite is I bought it in for you
could play. But my favorite is the Rose, the radiant
complexion cream. But I also really like the Apricot so
just they are so beautiful. You could almost use it
as either your moisturizer or a primer.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
You know what it reminds me of. It kind of
reminds me of a.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
Thicker version of the go to Peach primer that I'm
obsessed with that glowy one.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Oh yeah, but would you look?

Speaker 3 (07:35):
It is the most beautiful moisturizer for under makeup and
look at that rosy yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Is that not?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
And I'm obsessed with the smell.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Yeah. It is kind of reminding me a bit of
the Clarens Sos primers how they have all the different shades.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yes, exactly, But.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
The thing about these is that it's almost it's more
of a moisturizer, I would say than a primer.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Yeah, but if you have oily skin, you could.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Just use this instead of than a primer as well
and a moisturizer. But it feels beautiful. It wears so
lovely under makeup. You definitely wouldn't is them at nighttime.
They're like they're for under makeup and they don't like
pill up. It's just a stunning product and I love
that they've got all the different shades. How much forty
seven dollars for a little tube, but like a little

(08:19):
bit goes a long way, So they are thirty mil.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yeah, I mean it's great to fit in your makeup bag.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Well, thirty mil.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
I'm pretty sure that's just an average primer size anyway.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Yeah, kind of, I'd say like a fifty meal yes.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Small for a cream, yes, because moisturizers are a gur onally
fifty anyway, that is most Jenny. I'm just obsessed with them.
I'm obsessed with the smell. I love the way that
they look. If you've ever tried and loved the og
and release creamy need to try it these radiant ones
because I just think that they're stunning, perfect for summer
as well, when you want that extra glow love.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Thank you, great recommendation. I'm going to I'm definitely going
to try the green. Okay, so my Savy one sixty,
here's my Savee six forty nine, six dollars fifty, or
obviously any product that you can get at the chemist,
like I picked thees up for three dollars. I'm talking
about the manecare now polish remover pads, and these are

(09:16):
coconut scented.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I very rarely, you know, paint my nails. You've got Byab.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
I usually get build a gel biab manicures. But and
if you're watching today, you'll see I've painted my toes
a lovely summer shade of read zoom in.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
Though she has not done a very good job. It
looks like a four year old's painted them.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
That is so me, is so accurate.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
No, oh, whatever, your small toes have done better than
your big toe.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Okay, and the big toe had the most real estate, right.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
I didn't realize I was on trial here anyways. So
let's say I've you know, fucked up my toenails and
I need to remove them. I don't often paint my
nails or my toenails, so I don't need a bottle
of now a Polish remover. And I have used those
ones before where you did the finger in.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
I don't like that.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
I don't mind that if I've ever done it, but
I do think I've done it for my toes.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
I put your toes.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I'm just gonna dip my dog in there, literally into
the little foam soaked things. Anyways, so I was buying
a new nail file and I was like, I really
should get some now polish remover, and I came across
these pads. So essentially it's exactly what they say. They're
pre soaked. They're almost like exfoliating swipeys or skincare pads,

(10:38):
but soaked in the nail polish. And they're coconut scented.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Can I sniff?

Speaker 2 (10:43):
I'm sure you could smell that they're coconut scented.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
That smells like Malabarry. Yeah, but it doesn't smell like
now polish. It does? It does?

Speaker 3 (10:52):
That's the Malibu what like it smells alcohol? I can
smell something really strong.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Oh yeah, it does. Mind it though it smells like malibur.
It doesn't smell like acertone.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Well, it does. The side of coconut.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
I think it smells like coconut with a dash coconut
water with a dash of acetone. But yeah, there's just
so easy and convenient. They're really thin too, but very soaked.
I've had these for a while. I brought them with
me to Sydney from Melbourne, so they travel great.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
I did know that your dogs were painted, funny, No,
I brought them for the podcast.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Okay, now I'm gonna have to put some socks on anyways.
I just yeah, they're so easy to use, like, they
don't leak, no mess, no cotton page, don't dry out
I've paid, don't dry out.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
They would if you left them open.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yes exactly, but yeah, just really handy if you're someone
that's you know, needs to touch up your dogs because
someone says that you've.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
Painted them badly, just the big toes. Okay, what's your savy?

Speaker 3 (11:53):
Oh I feel like a little bit not embarrassed, but
you embarrassed?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Yeah, so embarrassed is the wrong word.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
But I need to be honest because, as regular listeners
will know, I've definitely been on a No. Ten journey
for a lot of this year, Like I just went
through winter not caring not bothering, whereas usually I would
for weddings still and special events. But I was just like, no,

(12:22):
I love myself in my own skin. I am a
confident queen. Look at me without ten and then like
I'd use a gradual if I went away or something
like that, but like very much so no ten anyway.
Then well, so I got some veins in my leg

(12:42):
removed back in August, and the bruising is quite hectic still,
like because I keep.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Hoping, Wow, yeah, so bruising is quite bad.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
And also my legs are just generally bruised. So then
like back in October, I was having a boat party
for my birthday and my legs were just so bruised,
and like I kept telling everyone, I was like, I
plaid six and half thousand dollars for my leg it's
going to be pins out, no pants summer.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
And I was like, oh it just.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Like I think that's quite relatable on the journey of
like you know, journey of like some days you're gonna
feel great about it and some days you're not.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Anyway, so I just thought, oh, I don't think a
gradual tan is going to cut it.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
I'm gonna I'm fake tanning.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Just need you needed a bit more actual, like color
correction and evening out, because my legs are just so bruised.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
So I was actually here and it was a Thursday,
and I ran down to the chemist warehouse and I
just picked up like a tan at the chemist and
I put it on and then I washed it off
after an hour because it was said dark, and I
was like, oh, I don't want that, Like you know,
I'm still in my error of loving. I just wanted color.

(13:57):
So I watched it off after an hour. Oh my goodness,
I've been using it like once a fortnight ever since
I'm obsessed with it.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
I'm firmly back on the tan truck. Okay, well, what's
the product and how much does it cost?

Speaker 3 (14:09):
It's thirty two ninety nine. It's the baddest bod. It's
an Australian brand, Maximum Express Moose Tanning Moose, so two
hours you can leave it on for I leave it
on for one because I don't like the smell. I
don't like the feeling of being sticky, but because it's
a dark shade, one hour is more than enough. Like

(14:29):
I'm a lovely color and my legs look a lot
more even.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Yeah, and like what about so is there a guide color?

Speaker 1 (14:35):
There is a guide color.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
But one time I stuffed it up and I looked
at myself afterwards and I was like, ah, no, like
I had these big patches. Somehow, it's still looked really good, okay,
like once I'd rinsed it off, so it's quite fail safe,
which I really like. It doesn't have as strong as
smell as some others. Maybe that's because I'm not really
fermenting in it the way I used to when I

(14:58):
was younger, but yeah, it's and like I've had it
since October. It's still pretty full and I've been using
it pretty much every fortnight, so you don't need that
much because it's quite smoothing.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
The most important part of why I like it It
doesn't dry me out.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Ah yeah, so you don't end up with like actual desert,
you know, in a desert when it's like the orange
ground and the things.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Yeah, as other people will know, I have really dry skin,
and I find the active ingredient in Fate ten dries
me out generally so badly, so I don't know what
on earth they've put in this. But also I don't
really like the way that they do advertising. So there
was like a bunch of reasons. But then I was like,
oh my goodness, this product actually is so good. So

(15:42):
I'm a little bit of shame to admit it, but
I'm firmly back on the ten band wagon.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
I do apologize for letting the team down. No a newbie,
so anything else it's.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
New, okay, So my newbie, this one's really special to me.
So if you're not familiar with me, I was working
at a door beauty and then I worked in house
at the brand Alpha H so liquid gold, iconic Australian brand.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
So I just want to caveat that. But I actually
worked on.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
The development of this product. Oh my goodness, that's so cool,
and so I just wanted to, yeah, bring it. Not
only is it a fantastic new product, but I just
feel extra proud seeing it out.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
In the world.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
So it is the limited edition Alpha H Melting Moment
Cleansing bum Orange Crember lay. So you might have noticed
brands are doing holiday a bit differently now. It used
to be that you just do your standard sets, but
now it's all about really for holiday to cut through,
you've got to have new product formulas, like you know,
with go To launching the fragrance oils of the makeup

(16:52):
brands are actually creating new versions of products rather than
just doing the packaging or putting three best sellers together.
So this is and I brought it so that you
can have a smell.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
It smells lie. I thought I was gonna hate that.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
It smells like I'd actually say that if you're you
obviously can't smell through the screen or three ears.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
But it's quite gonemanty. It's an idea.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
It's like, it's it's glasshouse Taha inspired.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Oh, I reckon, it's I hate glass house Taha. It's
way too gomand that is way nice.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
You know what it is?

Speaker 2 (17:24):
The orange it's yeah, so it's got the orange oil
that gives it that lift of citrus. But it's just
I love the original even before I worked it out.
Yourh I love this cleansing balm. It's sixty nine to
ninety five for ninety grams. It's just like the most
beautiful experience using this product as a makeup remover.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
The scent it doesn't hang around. That's the other thing.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
So if you're like, oh, is it the fragrance blah
blah blah. It doesn't stick around on the skin. But
I just love this idea of like, you know, you
can have festive holiday candles and things, and now it's
also coming to your.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Skin care like that and well done. Thanks.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Usually when I bring in new fragrances, we spray them
and have a bit of a play. But I'm not
going to do that today because Paul he's got a
little bit of a headache and perfumes are not going
to help the situation. But I've got the new Kali
Musk obsessions. So Kali is one of phod Beauty's sort
of sister brand, So you can get them online or

(18:24):
at Sephora and Adore Beauty. These are sorry and Adore Beauty.
These are all ten meals. But you know how like
perfumes often like the ten meal, they'll come with.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
A little just a little vial, which is fine, which.

Speaker 3 (18:37):
Is fine, But this is just so beautiful that they
actually come in the beautiful little Kali.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Yeah, wow, that would be so expensive to make. Like
I know that they're making them on mass.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
But like feel it. They feel so quality.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
You have to go or just on YouTube if you're
listening along at home, because otherwise this is not frosted. Yeah,
they're absolutely beautiful, so you can purchase them.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
These ones are limited edition.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
I'm pretty sure we can purchase them for fifty seven
dollars each for the small ones, but the miniature set
if you likes of musky.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
But they've all got such beautiful This one that I
just smelt, Yes, centa, that's lovely. Yeah, they're beautiful.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Go and have a sniff because the miniature set you
can get for one hundred and eighty dollars, So that's
with the four ten mills, or if you love one
of them in particular, you can then purchase them in
the big size.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
But they're just beautiful. I love the.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Little brown and beige and it's just very earthy. And
they're really different to other Kali fragrance. Yes that I've
smelt that.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Are very like Josy.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Yeah, juicy, kind of sweet notes too sweet. Yeah, so
great one. Okay, I'm gonna chin it really excites me.
Shot mustache Okay, So mine is actually an empty and

(20:01):
shot my stash because I've shoted my stash of my
backup that I have and I've emptied my other one.
So it's the Virtue recovery shampoo, So this product.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Would be very upset that you've divorced them. She only
ever uses shampoos and conditioners together.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
Oh, I am all about mixed meter.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
In my last Adore beauty staff order, when I finished
up there, I bought a five hundred mil like the
salon professional size, and actually I just I can't recommend
it enough.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
And that lasted me two years.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
And I know that you're going to say, well what
about the after opening It's fine shampoo condition on shampoo shampoo. Yeah,
so this shampoo, it's a protein based shampoo. I love
it because number one, it smells like caramel. You only
need the tiniest little amount. It foams up so beautifully.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
I use lots of.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Different shampoos, but I always come back to this one
if if I buy it on sale. So I bought
this one in the last Black Friday, and now I'm
shopping my stash. It's expensive, so I don't have the
price on me right now.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
That long is it's with of sixty dollars.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
But the way that I do it is I use
something more affordable as my first shampoo, and then I
use this as my second shampoo as in like I
go in with my first shampoo, because often your first
shampoo you need more product to like lather, and then
once the residual grime and grease is gone, then you
only need I'm talking like less than a ten cent

(21:29):
piece amount. Foams up beautifully. But yeah, it's expensive, but
I'm a bit of a very expensive few times.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Love it? What is yours?

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Oh my goodness, you're gonna laugh so much. Uh if
you're not watching on YouTube. I just held up like
the saddest looking old MIT. But it's what I've been
using now that I'm back in my tanning era. Yeah,
my catfishing era. I needed to get it off. Yeah,
and I forgot about that.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
This MIT is the best thing at getting It's the
bronzy MIT. Listen, a lot of them are probably the same,
but this is the one that I've been using for
the past couple of months, and it's thirty eight dollars.
That's an expensive MIT. It gets everything off me. Amy
i think that I've got nothing on my body, I'll
be like, yeah, you've got no fake tan left on

(22:20):
your body. I use this all over my body in
circular motions. The water is brown. It starts running brown,
which is another thing that I love, because I don't
like using those tanning removal That's another reason I stopped tanning,
because they would just dry my skin out so much.
And then the tanning removal stuff dries my skin out
so much. This exfoliates but not in a really harsh way.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
It feels like I don't even know how to describe it.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
I mean I thought, if I honestly, when you pulled
it out, I thought it was a sock or like
an old pair of.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
I literally like I could have purchased a new one
so it looked a little bit more aesthetic for the pod,
but I didn't have time. And so yeah, this just
you've got this old sock. But if you're looking for
a long term, good way to explo it, that actually
would turn out to be quite what was environmentally friendly
and cost effective because this surely cost.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Me a long long time.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Yeah yeah, then an ex following met is the way
to go. And this one really does remove stuff that
I didn't even know was still in my skin.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Love that great Rex.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Well that's all we've got time for today, but we
will be back in yours together on the coming Monday,
actually

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Fabulous, See you next time by
