Speaker 2 (00:22):
I'm I'm obsessed and I don't even feel guilty a body. Hello,
and welcome to Your Beauty, the podcast for your Face.
I'm Lee Campbell, I'm.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Kelly mccaren, and here are your beauty headlines off the week.

Speaker 4 (00:36):
This is the Beauty Edit, your weekly download of everything
you missed.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
In the beauty world.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
I'm Cass. I'm MoMA MIA's morning editor and beauty expert,
and I'm here to unpack all of the biggest trends.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
And I'm Sophie, producer of You Beauty, and I'm here
to ask all the questions you're wondering on your behalf.
So let's get into it. Cass, what my the uvis
have missed in the beauty world this week?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
So if we have to start with the biggest story
this week, the most followed woman on Instagram, Selena Gomez,
as we know, tied the knot with music producer at
Benny Blanco and it happened last weekend in Santa Barbara.
So welcome, custom Ralphauran holding ack dress was everything. I
could not stop looking at the photos. I also had
my eye on her old Hollywood Bob.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Yes, I mean, like the whole world. I am obsessed
with every picture, big Selena fan over here. But let's
forget the dress. We all love that. I need the
breakdown of the little details we might all have missed.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
There were so many, and I think, first we can't
miss the nails. So her go to guy Tom Batchick
didn't do anything crazy. It was a bridal iteration of
that kind of classic glaze doughnut nail trend that we
saw all over Instagram last year but even continuing into
this year. So it's like a glossy nude manicure with
a little chrome shine on top.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
And I loved it. My wedding nails is a topic
that crosses my mind at least once a week, and
I think Selena absolutely got it right. It's a perfect
amount of extra for your wedding day without being too much,
and it matched her whole vibe perfectly, like timeless, but
with that little bit of something special.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Exactly, and I think that followed on in her makeup,
which we saw. It was quite a soft glam radiant
kind of look, and we can thank for beauty, I'm
sure for her visage, but I had a defined eye
and a nude lip and it was just a classic
bridal look that I think will inspire a lot of
up and coming brides this year. It was lovely as
well that she didn't look like a different person. She
still looked like herself, which obviously we love.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
I loved every bit about it. And now onto my
favorite part, her hair. I saw it on Harper's Bizarre.
It was a full moment. I was expecting sleek, but
it was so soft.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
It was.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
It had that unadulterated old Hollywood glamour and it was
styled in beautiful, voluminous cascading waves that framed her face.
So this is a perfect hairstyle for that Ralph Lauren gown,
which was had a high neck. It was very timeless
and romantic and super luxurious, which is really nice to
see from Selena. Ten out of ten bridal inspo.

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Yes We're obsessed. And you know what else was ten
out of ten. The guest list on top of lots
of celebrities it attended apparently her bff Taylor Swift, gave
a speech. Imagine having Taylor Swift at your wedding and
then she does this speech and it's so well worded,
it's so funny. I would die.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
I would die too. I mean, I think anybody that
was their dream wedding scenario. Yeah, the guest list war
Stars started. We had Taylor, Paul Rudd, Steve Martin, Martin Short,
Paris Elton ed Sheeran. Honestly, I could go on for hours.
But speaking of Selena Gomez's bestie, she's also been all
over the news in.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Beauty Okay, Cass, Yes, I know what you're talking about.
There's that rumor that's shaking the fandom that Taylor Swift
is supposedly launching a fragrance brand. What do you think, Cass?

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Look so for evidence is compelling for swifties, of which
I would count myself as Wayne. For the uninitiated, Taylor
has released multiple iterations of the album that just came
out the Life of a show Girl, and one of
them was titled Sweat and Vanilla Perfume. So we know
Taylor does everything for a reason, and many fans were
kind of wondering, does this mean a Fragrance line is
in the works for many Swifties. It felt like a

(03:54):
giant centered breadcrumb.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Absolutely, And did you see those perfume spritz bodels in
the promotional material for her album Too?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I spotted those, and I think a lot of Swifties
on the internet did. And it's got a lot of
people thinking does one plus one equal a TS perfume?

Speaker 5 (04:08):
I really hope. So it's also so.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Interesting because Selena, her bestie, obviously just got married. Yes,
also just released a vanilla based perfume.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
So I feel like this is a real trend.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
I mean, we've been talking about it for a while.
Is it a coordinated vanilla takeover?

Speaker 5 (04:21):
So well, my money is on definitely. Yes, those two
together can take over the world. Let's not forget Taylor's
track record too. She had the discontinued perfumes, especially one Destruck,
which are going for absolutely insane amounts on eBay at
the moment. We're talking hundreds of dollars for an old bottle.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
People are obsessed. It's true.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I actually used to have one when I was down
at I wish I kept it And the original fragrance
was vanilla honeysuckle and berry notes, so there could be
something there. But if I'm honest, Sofa, I'm not sure
we're going to be getting a new Foray into perfume
just yet. I mean one destruct came out fourteen years ago,
and at this stage I just tell fans to not
get too excited. But there's no denying a Taylor approved

(04:57):
scent is majorly in demand.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
Yes, absolutely, but you're doing too much. Taylor just spread
it out exactly.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
She could print money with this though. And finally, so
if it's time for some industry hot takes, who's closing
and who's launching, and I to start with some of
the tears. And I'm specifically very sad about this one.
It's been reported that Drew Barrymore's Flower Beauty is closing.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Okay, I'm also very sad about that. I love Drew.
Their blash forms are genuinely amazing and affordable.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
I couldn't agree more. It's a huge bummer. And look,
it's a dog eat dog world in the celebrity beauty market,
and sometimes even the good ones like Flower Beauty fade away.
But it's definitely sad to see an affordable beauty brand
exiting this market.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Well, Uvi's Run Do Walk to grab anything you love
before it's gone forever. Now, Cas, tell me what's the
exciting laundry need to prepare for?

Speaker 4 (05:43):
So get ready for a major shift. So ossie label,
White Fox is expanding into beauty.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
White Fox as in the brand that dresses every girl
for a festival or bottomless brunch.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
That's the very one and it's a genius business move
for them. So they're going from dressing their gen z
audiences from head to toe to including their face. I
guess they're launching seventeen products, so you can expect all
the essentials that the White Fox customer would look for.
Those are kind of like body scrubs, glosses, highlighted and
even Dot Dot Dot, a vanilla based fragrance.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Okay, that is the center of the summer, clearly.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Exactly, and I can't wait. Look, they know their customer
and I think this is going to be a huge hit.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Yeah, I can't wait to see it all.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
That's all your beauty news for this week. Let's get
back into all your dilemmas with Lee and Kelly.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
I couldn't help but wonder ask me anything.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
You ask many questions.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Let us get into it.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
It is Monday, and we're going to answer some of
your glorious questions that you've sent to us.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
One was sent to me viad and Mom said to you, VIADM,
I'm feeling yes, oh, yes.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Pollinated, we cross pollinated. Yeah, both of them were really
great questions. We love niche questions.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yeah, and not all the time, but like the same
but in like similar veins. So there must be a
vibe out in there.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Or maybe it's just because it's a more tailored targeted question.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
Anyway, if you have your own question to ask us,
you can totally dm us. We just take a screenshot
and put it in, put it in the group and
go on.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Paul producers have to do hard stuff.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Or you can email us at you beauty atmamamea dot com.
There you should be a podphone, but there is not anyone.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
But you can record a voice note on your telephone
and email it or send it via the DMS.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Or pop it on Facebook. Join the Facebook.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
No, don't put I don't think you'ven put a voice
note on the Facebook. You can put anything anywhere these days.
Oh that's nice to know, all right, Oh please, all right,
why don't you read the DM you got, and then
I'll read the dam I got.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Delightful if that makes sense. Melinda sent well I was
gonna say, Melinda sent lea DM on Instagram. I'm Lee,
Hi Melnda, Hi Lee. I have a question for you, beauty,
if that's okay. I read your newsletter about oily hair
and to wash it twice. Thank you for reading your
bitty newsletter. Subscribe in the show notes correct, and I
know to clean my face twice thanks to you and Kelly.

(07:55):
So now I'm thinking, should I wash my body twice?
Do people do this? And if so, what are the benefits?

Speaker 1 (08:02):
I've got pretty good memory.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
I don't think in the seven years we've been doing
this we've been asked that question. No, we haven't, or
even an it cration of that question.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
How clever to carry the logic through to like, all right,
the hair, yeah, the face? What about the board?

Speaker 3 (08:15):
My first reaction is that it doesn't matter as much
because A we don't use as much product on our
body that we do on our face and our hair,
and b you.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Don't care of what looks like as much exactly.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Because we cover our bodies or most of it anyway,
So like, who.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Can time yeah, like you start up here and then
you who cares By the.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Time you get to your feet, it's all, oh I
like feet though, Oh no, yeah don't.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
That was my fault for getting you started.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
But you know the debate like do you wash from
your knees of the down? Like do you wash your shins?

Speaker 3 (08:45):
I mean, yeah, I feel I have like a huge
problem with people's lack of hygiene though, yeah, and I don't.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Get me started.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Generally, like shave and stuff, we pay more attention to
our shins. I don't recommend wash their shins anyway.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
It's not like you have to scrub it, but you
just like soap your body.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
I scrub it. No, I can't scrub it, but I
lother with firm touch anyway, not much moderate touch. Respond
to Molinda, so great question and very good. You know
who knows what we do? Only if you think it's needed,
is my answer. So let's consider our hair and face.
What we're doing is the first cleanse is to kind

(09:21):
of lift a weight debris and product filled up, which
might be sunscreen on the face or dry on the hair.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Makeup, Yes, so much exactly on your face.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
It's not just sunscreen. Think about it on your face,
I mean, how many layers of skincare do you do?
How many layers of makeup do you do? Yes, plus
your sunscreen. And then on your hair, you've got your
protein masks, your gloss, you tangler, you sweat, then you dry.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
She tell you've used the last day to try and
get a slip back.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
But on your body, you've got like sunscreen on parts
that are exposed, and then like moisturizer.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Most of your body odor comes from your body. Anyway,
here's the pits. That's not always true for everybody. True,
Wait until it's the heart of summer and you're sitting
here with me, so listen, wait.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Till I'm PREMONI pausal likely and then I'll be like,
I regret everything.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Are you trying to say? I smell?

Speaker 1 (10:06):
No, but you're always hot, shume, you get stinkier than
you used to. I've never smelt you.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Oh my god, I've got to go and smell myself.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Anyway, gets Stinkynda's question.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
So, for the face, it's usually like an oil or
a balm, and then you go with a second cleanse,
a gel or a foam. So for the body, if
we're applying that logic you would do like a oil
body wash and then a regular body wash. I would
flip that. So if I had been wearing body soundscreen
after the beach, or just I always do my decolotage

(10:36):
any exposed areas or are you looking at me weird
because I'm just no, because.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I've just appreciating your chest skin.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
No, thank you, because it has a makeup on it.
So you know, if my chest is exposed, I'll do
some sort of body makeup or you know, whatever bronze are.
So I would do an exfoliating wash first, really good.
Also if you just try and scalely if you want
to remove fake ten, if you just feel gross, and
then I would finish with the hydration. So something really
hydrating and nurishing to cut put them oisted back, So

(11:03):
almost sort of opposite what we do on the face,
because the face is to like lift the oil lifts
away they make up. Do you agree? Also, if you
sweat a lot and or are active or have body breakouts,
definitely are at double cleans.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Yes, and maybe even consider implementing like a chemical exfoliant.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
There's a bunch of funny you might mention that I've
brought some recommendations. Can I tell you for in the
shower though, yes, Oh, this is what I would do
if I was to double cleans thoroughly after something that
made me need it the FSN Clearing AHA and salicilic
acid body wash thirteen bucks or the Frank Body triple
acid body wash thirty two dollars, and then I would

(11:42):
do that wash that off, and then I'd come in
with the bioderma Atoderm Ultralourishing Shower oil cleanser forty three
ninety nine. You know how much I love that. That's
a leter pump, Like it almost takes up my whole bathroom,
but it's so nice. All the other really good one
is the dermal Therapy very dry skinwash that's twenty three
ninety nine. I think that might be a leader too,
so you don't have to go fancy or boogie, especially

(12:02):
if you're having two. But I would get like the
chemical EXFOLI ain't like they're really like thorough cleans done
and then pop some hydration back on in the shower,
but then moisture is when you get out. I agree
that was a lot.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
If you can't be bothered in the shower, you could
also just sort of target different areas that you do.
You get more congested with one of those chemical exfolient
body sprays. Yes, so Paula's choice, Dermological, you'red and TBH
all have great options. The TBH one is the most affordable.
It sits at around thirty dollars depending on where you
get it from. The rest are a little bit pricier.
And I also do a chemical exfoliant or just a

(12:35):
witch hazel under the pits every few weeks because that's
where I tend to get built up.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
I remember saying that. Yes, of course, if you wear
antiperson deodorant or like a clinical deodorant, you're gonna want
to do something even tanning.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, just all those sorts of things.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Yeah, and actually the oil is really good at removing
the deodorant, so flip it around whatever way you want.
But yeah, you can double cleans your body if you'd.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Like, or you could just use your regular cleanser, but
actually use a washer or.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
You mean your body wash. Don't use your nice face cleansing.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Sorry, Yeah, a body cleanser or a do you use
the washer sometimes, or a silicon body brushy thing not alone.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
The washing, not all that often it'll only be scrubbing
off old hands.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Yeah. I do really like how clean I feel, though.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
When I share it with my mom, she's like. I
am like, I'm getting the shower and she give me
towels and she's like, and a washer yeah, And I'm like,
but then when she's gone, she goes, oh, the wash
is still dry.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
It's like as if you didn't bathe properly.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
Yeah. Yeah, it's because they use a washer every time
they bathe.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
But it works.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Okay, Well that helps hopefully. If you would like to
double cleanse your body, please do so. If you feel
good with your current routine, proceed.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
All right.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
So the message that I got was, Hi, Kelly, I
need to know about a specific cleanser touch of the
Rice wash.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Why all the fuss about it? Like, why is it
so good?

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Can you ladies explain and maybe share some more affordable alternatives?
Low And this really piqued my interest as well, because
I'd been into Mecca just that day that I opened
this DM and it was at the front of their store,
sold out, so people popular.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
It's so popular. I haven't tried it.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
I don't think I have many moons. Ago I buy
the Little Aqua the water cream, but only by the
little ones because I don't know what, because we try
so many different things. But it's great for travel. Anyway.
Let me give you a little bit of a backstory.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
So she's got a history list, I do.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I knew most of this, but I liked refreshing my
notes for this lecture. So Tata was founded in two
thousand and nine.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
So however long that ago was, I'm not good with mass,
but not longet twenty years.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
There you go. Tucha is an American brand founded in
San Francisco. But Vicki had dermatitis and then she was
traveling around Japan I think two thousand and eight and
was like, Wow, these skincare products and these rituals are
simple and gentle, and my skin is so happy. Home
she goes and creates Tucha bing Bang Bong goes crazy.
So many of the ingredients are sourced from Japan. But

(14:59):
Tucha is now owned by Unilever, which is a big
umbrella brand that owns a lot of brands. Yes, correct,
So Touch of the Rice Wash currently in Australia one
hundred and twenty mills is sixty nine. What are your thoughts? Well,
you haven't tried it, but you would have been able
to look at the marketing and ingredients.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
I think that it looks fantastic.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
The packaging is all beautiful. That's it's purple.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
The packaging isn't ideal for me though. The packaging is
a tube because I don't like a cleanser in a
tube personally, because I'm lazy and I cleanse my skin
in the shower, so my preference.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Is a pump.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
What about if you're going on holiday, well.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Then yeah, I'd much prefer a tube, but just for
my preference at time, I get it.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
But I love products with rice in them. They're very
good for acne a lot of the time. Why are
you giggling?

Speaker 2 (15:41):
I don't know why. Just because you said rice. I
was like picturing like a big bowl of rice, and
then I thought, you know how you put your phone
in it. Anyway, my brain goes.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
By you were you want me to put you on
a big bowl of rice and dry you out? When
you're being all silly?

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I swear different pairs VETSI so I have been using
different rice products. It was this beautiful Loxaton rice water.
But the rice is in the product. Okay, okay, and
it is popping off at the momently.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Kind of exfolian a bit, a bit like your favorite
Dermologica daily microfolime or do you like the other one?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
No, no, no, that's the one.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
I would say that this from reading about it is
a lot less aggressive.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Oh totally. It's a cleanser, but it's that kind of
like it has something mannual expoliation but very very gentle.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
Is at the end of your answer, Yes, but I
think that, And I also think, like, yes, it's very expensive,
but unless you're using a lot of it, one hundred
and twenty meals actually should last you a very long time.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah, I agree, exactly. That's so true actually, because I
think it's a couple of reasons. I've used it, although
a long time ago. But interestingly, when I read this question,
I was like, I remember what it felt like, whereas
a lot of you know, cleanses, I could be like, oh, yeah,
I think I liked don't know, I definitely didn't, you know,
but I liked this. So it starts off like creamy,
not like a bomb, but like I guess, a cream
and then it turns into a ladder but not a

(16:53):
stripping foaming labber. So it's really nice and sensorial, and
I think we've talked a lot about sometimes like if
a step that so boring feels a little bit nice sensorial.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Makes you want to do it, it's a bit what's their?

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Yeah, And so there's finally maled rice powder in it,
so it is that very gentle excoliation, but still kind
of in the cleansing category because you can do it
every day. Some people say it's a double cleans I
don't think it's a double cleans for heavy duty removal.
But it's pretty Farah.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
It's got nothing in it that's gonna take.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Like when you've got like a lot of oil products
on your face, you need an oil to get it off.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
Oil loves oil. And then I just think the brand
looks beautiful and has status. There's amazing reviews. So there's
probably a bit of fomo American brand with Japanese ingredients
of Japanese heritage. I guess I've done some research. So
the best bet for you are from the KBD and
JBUT stores and brands. I'm from Rice Whip Facial Cleanser.
You're gonna get it for about twenty five dollars. It's

(17:45):
on all those stores online, so just literally chuck it
into Google and them press the shopping tab and you'll
find the cheapest place. SRB Stabilized Rice Brand Enzyme powder
wash twenty eight dollars. Now I'm giving you a recommendation
that's even more expensive, but it sounds amazing. Oh, this
is hydropeptide. Remember we talked about that brand, yea, the
hydropeptoide foaming cream cleanser. It's eighty dollars. So sorry, but

(18:10):
like it's an alternative and it's got phenomenal reviews. And
then lastly, there's a website called the Face Shop and
they have an entire range made from rice water and
other ingredients. So there's the Face Shop Rice Water Bright
cleansing Cream fifteen bucks. So you could combine that with
the Face Shop Rice Water Bright Rice brand foaming cleanser
because it's seen kind of the cream to the foam,

(18:32):
but the only Yeah, and that's nineteen bucks, or just
check out the whole range. Yeah, you reminded me that
I like it. A little goes a long way. If
you can find a similar one, maybe I made.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
That's a lot of money I did read like a
Reddit thread and they talked about a blog that went
really viral in America where they said that the notorium
fermented rice enzyme cleanser.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
We don't have that, do we.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
Well, it came up when I looked.

Speaker 2 (18:55):
At it in Australia though. Sorry.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Yeah. Oh it was sold out though, so I wonder
if that's because of this recently viral that they were saying,
it is an incredible alternative and it's.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Half the price and the same amount of mills.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
We love Notauria poturia.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
So that's another option to look into. It said like
it had option for adding to cut. It's just that
it was sold out. So I shoot it on that
weightless girl.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
Yeah, so I assume you can purchase it.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Hopefully that gave you a little bit of food for
all or other options to look into.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
And it's not a kind of a new ingredient on
a new science. You think back to No. Two adds
about the Japanese women who made all the rice in
their hands were like so beautiful and soft and that's
how they discovered that rice water was softening and antiaging
and strengthening.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
Okay, Lee, beauty bite, what's your beauty bite beauty bat.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
So for those that aren't watching on YouTube, let me
give you a visual description three your ears. I am
wearing a white score.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
If you didn't have your little jacket on, oh, it
look like you were going to tennis.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Okay, it's not a jacket, it's a denim shirt. But
I think you yeah, cuss, I'm covered. I'm wearing a
white scort. Does everyone remember the dish scored from two
seasons ago? I'm bringing it back. Okay whatever, A white
tank from came up. This is my third I put on.
You'll understand in a moment. A denim like a big
denim shirt that's got a really cool thing on the back,
but cares. Anyway. I don't know why I went describing
all of this and some moccasins. This morning. I was

(20:19):
in a mad rush because when an I not but
I'm rushing, rushing, rushing, decide on this outfit, idiot. It's
all white. I I am also covered in bruises and
just not desirable. So I was like, right, I'm gonna
get out my body bronze foundation and mix it with
some moisturize, which I do a lot.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
But when you're wearing what you're well thought process.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
No excuse me. I normally reach for the moisturizer level
that I need, So I thought I reached for like
this really fast absorbing, quick drying moisturize that basically Matt right.
So I've mixed it with that a million times before,
and then you could swim minute sort of thing, and
you didn't because it was the same brand, lost slightly
different color Rush Rush Rush, and I reached for their
like juicy oil, delicious, super nourishing, slippy, slippy. I don't

(21:02):
know why I didn't just change my outfit, but I
was determined to wear it. So I put on actually
put on a different white skirt, Disaster, and I was
like to scorn, put on the score, put on the tank great,
ready to go, turn around the whole back of the
tank like brown marks, and so I was like, I
got out my giant can of el net elmet hairspray.
Flexible hold will do, but you want stronghold if you've

(21:24):
got it, and I just went to town on myself
in the shower wearing I think I took the score
back off like my bra and undies and I just
covered my whole self in hairspray.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Your skin must feel disgusting.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
It's not great. So the reason I'm telling you about
this but it does it literally it Yeah, because back
in my day there wasn't setting lists. We used hairspray
on our face right younger than me?

Speaker 1 (21:44):
No, no, no, we absolutely did.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
So anyway, Lo and Beholder get to work. I'm sitting
next to Amelia Lestu. If anyone listens to Mama Marea
out loud. We get to sometimes see each other and
we're in love with each other. And she's like the
smartest person in the world, like we went to university
with Mark Zuckerberg. But she goesh, we Heartga and I
also don't hug me too close. I tell her the
whole thing, and she goes, oh, that's genius. If you
ever talked about that on your beauty And I'm like no,
because I, oh, she is beauty bite. That's so good.

(22:10):
Hairspray will set anything.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
It is so good that, like on your clothes.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Thank you. So now you might see if you look closely,
there's still transfer there. I wish I had spray it
is the color of my tank before I put it on,
because it then creates that barrier yes, hairspray for life.
So this is a bit.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Interesting because before we started recording, I commented on how
beautiful your tan is.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
It's not a tan that's.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Maker well, it's the l effect body bronze like the
Australian content creator Elf Ferguson. She makes el effect. I
would never wear it on someone. It's full body, like
full coverage foundation for your body. So I would do
like one tenth of that inner moisturize.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
But that's all you've got on. You don't have a
tan on? No, I won't my very word.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Yes. So the colors like it's very brown, like it's
not too warm, there's no really green hand. Yeah, and
that's I would say. Actually that's probably two eights. So
what's that a quarter?

Speaker 1 (23:01):
I don't know numbers.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
I always mixed it with like a certain amount of moisturize.

Speaker 1 (23:05):
Wow, I really want to try that though it's really good.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
You buy it from Mecca. I buy it from Mecca
and because I mix it like I've had that for
like three years. What's yours? Oh my god, I know
what she's gonna say. Bobby pins exist and so do these?

Speaker 3 (23:18):
What you think I'm gonna say that Q tips exist
someone with surprised. No, what I'm going to say is
that I mean when nearing the talent, but it is
still spring.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Hay fever season is rife.

Speaker 3 (23:29):
I don't know about you, but when I'm trying to
do my makeup, sometimes my eyes will just start watering.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Yes, and my nose.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Yes, nose isn't as much of an issue when you're
trying to do your eye makeup. So this is so random,
but I swear it works. You get two Q tips
and on the side of the top of your nose
where you can feel it tingling if you need to sneak.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Yes, sorry, I hate that feeling. Can I try?

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (23:52):
You just go like this and does it stop it?

Speaker 3 (23:54):
And you press quite firmly the side of your nose
where you can file it.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
With my fingernail. But then I on my base because
I like end up having fingernail bits.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
Well, if you just use your CUE tip, then it's
way easier to fix your makeup, and then you can
just use the Q tip if your makeup has watered
it just it in its tracks.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Try it. I was gonna say I would get a
new cube, but I'm just about to poke myself with
yours press in the spot and you can feel that
it would work because it just stops it. I mean,
I don't have the ting got to start with, but
this feels quite cathartic, right, So do you want to
know what? I thought you were going to say.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
That qtibs exist.

Speaker 2 (24:23):
No, I thought you were going to say you stuck
the No.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
That wouldn't offer enough protection. I just put a balled
up tissu up my heat.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
That's what I do. No, not balled up. You have
to roll it up, roll it aale, and then you
stick it up and.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
People think it's strange, and I'm like, what's stranger is
drying my nose out further and also not being able
to do my makeup or.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Yeah, using the hardcore natal spray for more than three
to four days because it's didictive exactly on that you
take those dirty Q tips back from me, like the
one's pointing, one's not. Okay.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
Well that's all we have for today.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
I believe that was entertaining or educational. Thank you so
much for listening. Now, don't forget if you are listening.
