Speaker 1 (00:10):
You're listening to a MoMA Mia podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Mamma Mia acknowledges the traditional owners of land and waters
that this podcast is recorded on.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Makeup is My Therapy.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I'm obsessed and I don't even feel guilty a body.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
It's Friday here and then Saturday Sunday. Yeah, and we've
got products to tell you about.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
What Kelly was trying to say is hello and welcome
to your Beauty, the podcast for Our Face. I'm Lee Campbell,
I'm Kelly McCarron. Jay Ntley got the Friday Sillies. On Fridays,
we tell you about great products. We've been trying something expensive,
something a bit more affordable, something that's quite new to
us or the industry, and something we're loving so much.
(00:56):
We've bought it again, We've emptied it. We found it
at home. We wish you stole it from each other. Yeah,
she steals from me, one of the two. So should
we get right into it? Please, Spendy baby, spendy baby.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
I went first last week, So this week I want
you to Okay, what is your sabe?
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Okay, let me tell you about thisnoid? Do you know
much aboutnoids?
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I know that you and Hannah English have a couple
of products.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yes, Sonoid is by the same umbrella company DCM dcmium
that do the ordinary, but it's more exposive. Hannah English
got me onto the original version of this missed. So
this is I just wish they wouldn't use such big words.
This is theirnoid super oxide dismutase three enzyme missed. Oh
(01:43):
so Hannah English two years ago maybe got me onto.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Who is she?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Hannah English? How do you not know her? If you're here,
Hannah English, You're an incredible scientist, content creator from Melbourne.
Friend of the pod, love her, follow her, will linker
in the show notes, she got me onto the version two,
which is called there there's an acronym sd s M
two which isn't going anywhere. But this is the number three,
(02:08):
so the new one. Okay, So think about how much
we love antioxidants. They're oftentimes in our serums. They're preventative.
They fight the free radicals, which are the bad guys.
So there's a lot I was gonna say, naughty word.
There's a lot of antioxidants in here that prevents visible
skin damage before it occurs. The number two is delicious
and my favorite. So how I will love this more,
(02:30):
but I'm sure I will. So you don't know this, well,
it's brand new to the point where sorry, it's a newbie,
but it's also my savy even No, I'm gonna have
to explain it all. You can only order this on
the NID website okay moment. It's not coming to Australian
retailers until November. So that new. But this is the
fifty mil. No, it's not. But the fifty mil size
(02:53):
is forty two dollars. That's pretty decent. This is one
hundred and twenty mil, which is I think one hundred
and something. Anyway, it's expensive, but it's so so so good.
Is this not your savy though, yes, because my Spendy
is similar price, but it's not as like results different
Kelly math So I sometimes do this first before my
skincare morning and all night. I sometimes do it if
(03:14):
I am just feeling like a dead rat ic. I
always do it on an aeroplane, but I just can't. Oh,
it smells different too. So this is the newer version.
I've got several of the older version. Well it's a bit.
Oh it's lovely. No, no, you don't eat it. But
that is definitely not for over makeup. Oh, yes, it is.
(03:34):
It's great.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
That is so dizzy.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Oh well, you mean the suspension. Sorry, the suspension is
too aggressive. Okay, sure, Well we both looked very juicy
at the moment. Antioxidant Support Order ported me. It's great
for dryness. The reason Hannah got me onto it, and
I think she likes it because she has Braseasha maybe
or she's got something sort of sensitive skin. It's really
good at reducing the look of redness. It even skin
tone signs of aging. So good. So get the fifty
(03:58):
mil forty two dollars on the Nooid website now or
wait until November when it comes to the actual stalls here.
Love it, love it. I've got like the original one.
I've got like a five hundred.
Speaker 1 (04:09):
I feel like I'd want to decant into something with
a better suspension.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Well, if you're using it as your first missed yeah,
but even then, it's so aggressive. It's like that oil
spray that I pranked erin with once that was so funny. Yeah,
I love it. I love Nooid. No I do a
lot of great products. One of their eye serums is also.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
I tried one of their hyaluronic assets ones and I
was like, holy duly, this is good.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, it's really good. What's your saving?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
My saving is the medihel alo vera hydrogel.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Is it empty? No?
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Oh no, it's clear. Oh you only need a tiny bit.
It looks like it's almost full.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
It is a alo verra gel, so you can use
it all over your face, all over your body, anywhere
that is slightly inflamed. So it was seven ninety five
and I got it from Atomica.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Can I first touch it?
Speaker 1 (04:57):
You can? So what this is for? What I've been
using it for? So they have on the website that
it's for post sun as well, and I'm like, no, no,
we're not doing that anymore. Do that, but where your happen,
accidents happen, and definitely we need Alovira in the fridge
preferably if your accident does happen. But I would just
say post anything where your skin is slightly inflamed. So
I recently got vein removal on my legs.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Were going to talk about that at some point.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Well, yeah, but I still don't have any results or
anything like, it's still lucky and I've still gotta have
my extra sessions and anyway, so I was using this
on that just to cool the area down when it
was feeling really hot after needling. This would be fantastic
just to think of exactly just cooling that area down
and hydrating.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I shave with a not really sharp razor. It gives
me a little bit of irritation. Give it, give it.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
This is what you need. Seven ninety five for that
giant tungus.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
How big is it? That's got to be like fifty
or three hundred, Oh, it's got to be four. And
look at it, it's jelly. So I just be careful. Yes,
I want to jump in there.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
So you just need the.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Tiny So it feels cold already, like tiniest a little bit. Yeah,
and it hasn't been in a fridge. Oh that's so nice.
And it literally feels like water exactly goes down enough cooling,
but really the fridge it's really hot. That is such
a bargain. I'm just so impressed with it. It's just
like a good product to have on standby. And because
(06:21):
it says medi heel like alo Vera hydrogel, it just
feels very.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Like, well they've been using alo Vera yea for centuries.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
And it's great for irritated face or body. There you go,
that's a really good.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Parts seven ninety five and that's full price.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
Okay, so good?
Speaker 1 (06:36):
So yeah, online or at your local Atomica.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
So my spendee, Well, I've got a couple. It's the
Bobby Brown long Wear cream shadow sticks, and there's a
few options. I'm really in my cream shadow era, but
coming into the warmer months, I already have quite spitzy eyelids,
so I wanted to look creaming and like not Matt. Yeah,
but I don't want to slip everywhere and go into
my creep.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
And then end up halfway down your face and you're like, oh,
what'sn't even like looks like you don't have my cup on? Right?
Speaker 2 (07:05):
So the single use one that's a normal size is
fifty nine dollars, or you can even get a mini
not every shade comes in them and he for thirty
two dollars. Or you can get a jewel ended long
wear cream shadow stick for seventy nine dollars. So this
is milk chocolate. You can get Matt's and shimmers and Glitterens.
I know they're so pigment. You've got great working time.
So you can put it like literally on the lid
(07:27):
and then blend, or you can even just put it
on your finger and tap tap tap, depending on the
intensity of the eye that you're creating. Look at this
dark delicious brown. I know, do you want to have
a play? I just really love Bobby Brown's products. Bobby
Brown is not Bobby Brown anymore, you know, like she's.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Oh no, it's all right.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
I can see to pick that up. Maybe she or
she does Jones Road to.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Me, Oh yeah, and I know I can see the
pigment on you.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
I don't do you want to play with them? And
then this is a single one. This is blushing peach.
Look jimmery.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Wow, that's so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
And not to talk myself up, but when I put
that on my green eyes, oh, because it's like a say,
champagneye bronze, it makes them pop so good. I prefer
the shimmery one. But this I've done with like a
nighttime long.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
You'll probably use that one more, I reckon.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Yeah, well, I'm just gonna love them all. Yeah, So
I just I don't know why I've just I'm not
really an eyeshadow, as you know, but I'm just cream
eye shadow girl.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
I also have an eye shadow as my spending. Whoa
stop it, My spending is so pretty. Look at it.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
It's a paperweight. No, it does look like a paperweight,
though it doesn't it. It's a little eye shadow pot.
It's the brand is Mazi. I know this brand. You
can get a w Cosmetics. Yes, I've got one of
their lip colors and it's so nice.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
The brand is called Woozy Gate Mansion and these are
the one and ogate Woozygay Mansion one and only shadows
twenty four dollars for one single shadow.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
But that's so cool.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Yeah, but like it's my spending because like when you
can get an entire palette for twenty four dollars.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
And also that's a lot of plastic.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
It is so pretty to just put on your lid,
you know when you want a bright pop on your lee.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Looks like an I primer, like as in a just
like neutralizer, but it just color.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Like I know this has got a shimmer in it too,
So I have been reaching for it so much and.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Oh wow, it feels like butter. It feels like butter.
I need it immediately, so subtle. It's but almost holographic
in such a way. It is just the I really
wasn't expecting that much from it, and I'm so impressed.
It feels like a moose almost, like it's very light,
so easy to use. You just use your fingers, which
(09:36):
I think most people really are going to appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
You just grab that. Any colors and then Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
That's why I'm into these creams. Like the blending is
all in your fingers. It's meant to be a bit messy.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
People always ask me about different brushes and such. It's not.
It's practice makes perfect with the lid.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Isn't it just so protty whatever? Because where's the information?
Speaker 1 (09:56):
There is none.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
It's literally like it, Oh, it's got the tiny stiket
of the brand there. No, that's not the brand, that's
the product, that's but the brand. No magoose does say it. Yeah,
I say, looking all over going, I don't know what
the brand is now. I had to figure it out
like reverse image search, because I was like, I have
got no idea. The magician it's so pretty. Side note,
you know that zoo landa. What's the baddiest name in it? Magoozi. Yeah,
(10:21):
that's what I keep thinking of every time I see
the brand everywhere. I don't we'll just the brand name. Yes, anyway,
that is amazing. It's just so happy beaut to know
what shade that is. Yes, I do, because I would
like to purchase it. And are there other shades? There
are heaps of shades that one immediately this is hell Splash,
hearl Splash. Hello. I wonder if they do several in
(10:42):
a smaller palettecause evedn't want to heaps of those.
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Oh I don't think.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
No, they're packaging. Is they're whole shtick, isn't it?
Speaker 1 (10:47):
I think so, there's just really pretty kind of like
extra packaging. But I just think it's gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Something different. They nubie so anything else. It's new. My
newbie could have been my sendy. It's very extensive. Okay,
remember this brand. We also can't biolochige resurgere. Yes, it's
very hard to get. You can only get it at
(11:14):
certain spots in Australia. Melanie Grant's website the skin and
it sells it, but also you can get through spas
and salons that do their treatments. So they have a
very popular P fifty or something.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
It's cool.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yeah. P fifty was a French facial in a bottle
that kind of kicked it all off outside of France.
But they have a range called the VIP it's like
their hydration range. This is the new and improved mask
from that range. They've relaunched the entire range. But this
is the active moisturizing mask. Okay, should I just tell
you the price first? Yes? Keep in mind this is
(11:47):
a very fancy brand. It's very expensive. It's very scientific,
almost to the point where you can't really self prescribe
products because they're all those you.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Do not understand anything No in the website. You need
like someone to help.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Yes, And oftentimes if you go for one of their
treatments at a place that does it, they do that
skin scan analysis thinking magiggi firl and then upsell you
a thousand dollars worth a product. Well no, then they
do the treatment based on the thing. Then yes, also
that so the MA mask for one hundred miles is
two hundred and sixty seven. I'm sorry, wolves, I know
their science is incredible, but also it's just one of
(12:19):
those primo brands that it's like a bit of a
stat of symbols. So it works in fifteen minutes to
visibly improve skin quality, even on tired skin.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
It does. Damn it, I know, be a dud.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
Be it dud? I mean, if you're going to spend
only three hundred dollars.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
You want it to do every cent.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
It's got this patented VIPO two complex with empowered melatonin.
So this is not how it makes you sleep. Well,
it's kind of like your skin has had a sleep. Oh,
I know. I mean that's a really crude way of
explaining the science. They say it restores elasticity, refines texture,
and leaves complexion luminous. And even I put it on,
(12:56):
I've used it twice. I think I've been overusing it
from yeah, but it's just so good and I've gone
all the way down here.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Can I try a little bit on my hand?
Speaker 2 (13:02):
You can. It's very much like it. It's like a
white hydrating mass. Like it's just the texture is very
run of the well. But the way you tissue it off.
So when I first did it out, I think I
was working and I forgot and then after thirty minutes
I just tissued off or you know, used a cloth,
and my skin was so delicious clinical studies say eighty
(13:24):
month percent hydration after four hours. That's not four hours
wearing it, it's just after four hours after you've taken
it off. It's so nice, it's new, it's great if
you're into this brand. And oftentimes you'll find people that
use this brand a bit like rationale, like they are
really just jat brand because it is a system that
kind of all goes together, generally rich.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Fancy ladies that also go to those skincare clinics.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Correct, So I wanted to tell you about it. The
cleans is also nice. There's an I cream, and there's
a face cream, but this mask. If you were going
on a flight, if you haven't slept, if you are
getting married, if you win the lotto, if you find
me leaving Mama Mia Lady today and rob me.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Do you know that what she's got on it? Mine
you b is the Paula's Choice Pro collagen pepti firming icerum.
It's a pro collagen peptide firming serum, but it should be.
But they call it the everything icerum because it visibly
d puffs, ferms and lifts me.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Give it to me.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
Honestly, it's it feels beautiful. So it preps and primes
for consialer. This is why they call it the everything icerum.
It preps and primes for consilla. So it's good for
under makeup. It's suitable for sensitive and milliar prone skins
of people that get those.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Me. I get millia. I just had too removed. I
thought I saw this Kelly hides her products if you're
watching on YouTube. I thought it was a lip but
I thought it was the lip bum, which I love.
Keep telling me, but you're gonna love it because look
at the foot's that cooling applicator, the metal cooling applicator
immediately depuffs the area cold.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, it feels lovely, so.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Cold things today.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
I am it's dermatologist and ophthalmologists test it. And the
pep I mean, listen, we're all about the peptides this year.
We are so peppy that peppy for peptides. Peptides are
great at doing everything, but mainly for making the area
really juicy and firm and kind of bouncy. Like it's
(15:19):
just a really great all rounder. I feel really when
I clicked on that link. So it's fifty nine.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Dollars new that's good, So I feel really bad for
them though, they've only got one review and it's one star.
Oh and people, and the person has said that unfortunately
for them, their eyes are too sensitive and their eyes
wouldn't stop ordering. I just want to say on Paula's
behalf because like, obviously it didn't agree with this person.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
I've got the most sensitive eyes. Like sometimes my eyes
just water if something.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
Too particularly with a sunscreen, if it goes too close.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Oh, drives me up the wall. I get really bad
hay fever at this time of year as well. I
have not reacted to that once.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Maybe this person put it too close.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Well I put I'm not very careful, Like.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
You don't go right up under the eye because it travels,
you don't. But like even if it's that massagey coolly thing,
she just got too excited. Yeah anyway, I'm not saying
that it won't happen to you, but I just maybe
she thought it was I dropped. They've got one one review,
it's that new and it's a bad one. So I
just wanted to say, well, didn't do that to me.
I'm having it's delightful time patting it in right now.
(16:23):
The rest of the episode. Let's just wait and see
if Lisa start wading only hitting. I love it. No,
it feels lovely on it doesn't have any sense. It
feels really like the textures time.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
And at the Sephora the House of Sephora a couple
of months ago, this was a product they were really
excited about, like they've been working on it for a
very long time.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
I knew, I knew, but they didn't have it there. Yes, that,
but she was telling us about it exactly. I wondered
why I was having flashbacks.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
I was with you, Peppy and we were having a
giggle about the pets and the peppies.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
I knew I was there anyway.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
That is my Maybie.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Shop mustache.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
What did you shop for or what did you finish?
Speaker 2 (17:05):
So my shot by Stash is something I think we've
both tried and at launch a little while ago. And
the reason it's my Shot my Stash is because I'm
going to shop my stash later with it. What that
makes no sense. It's the Mecca Max. It's relatively new,
the Mecca Max Life Proof Satin Blue Foundation, so a
(17:26):
thirty mil foundation for thirty eight dollars they say, Buildable
Satin Finish foundation. So it's still only in spring. We're
still in the first month of spring. So also a
PSA not a PSA. I guess I should say an
FYI with my peri menopausal skin, it's changing.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Oh my goodness. Last summer we completely switched rolls. For
the first six years of our relationship. Yes, I was
always boiling hot, you were always freezing. Last summer, i'd
be completely normal, yes, and this one, Oh, thank you,
I'm dying. I've got to go put my head in
a freezer.
Speaker 2 (17:59):
Thank you. And it was the opposite before. So anyway,
they say satin blue. I've tried this a couple of
times since I received it. I would say, Matt, you're dry.
So would you say, Matt, No, Well, I would say
satin on me, but way too drying on me. Yeah, okay.
So this is why it's my shot mustash later because
as the humidity and the heat rises, my skin and
(18:21):
my combo definitely does get COMBOI ur and I reach
for less super dewy products and more satiny products. I
think this is going to be great for me in
the height of summer.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
I've used it a few different times. Once it peeled,
but that was my fault. The next time I used
it with that NYX bounce right back or what are
it about? Yeah? Prime, and it was much better. But
if you are an oily girl, if I want a
full coverage button, yes, not so. I don't think it's
super mad. I think it would be satin on an
oily gal. Agreed. And if you have one of those
(18:54):
jobs where you can't touch up, you know you're just
you want your makeup to stay where you put it
until you wash it off. I reckon, this is fantastic.
Thirty eight dollars customizable, buildable, medium coverage foundation. I agree,
medium and buildable. It's really good. I'm excited, Well I'm not,
but I'm excited to be shitzy to try it then,
because I think it's going to be perfect for my
thin type. What's your shot my stash?
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Last week, you complimented my nails. I don't know if
I've talked about this product.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Before springing a bell, but I did compliment your nails.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
But you complimented my nail last week, and I was
reminded to bring this in because I get SNS, so
I don't do my own nails, but I I just
chose a color that was a bit too nude the
last time I got SNS, and I just I'm sure
it just was a little bit too fleshy, yeah to me,
have much pinkness in it. And then I just thought,
you know what, I'm going to use my Sephora nail blush.
(19:44):
It's nine dollars eighty.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
Can you remind me? Is it just nail polish in
a blushy color?
Speaker 1 (19:49):
But it literally is like applying blush to your nails
because it only gives the hint of color. So this,
you know how blush nails are having a real moment
of ttok and all over and it honestly does look
like you've just put a glossy blush on your.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Nails put it on top of another color. Well that's
what I did. Oh you wet it on top of
the Now I would say that the color of my
S and S was the color of my flesh, Okay,
which just wasn't You could warm something up a bit,
make it that what. I literally put blush on it
to make it look more alive, clever and harder. Two like, yeah,
good for your nails exactly, I think I need that,
(20:24):
So it's really good.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Nine dollars eighty. I think full price, it's like fourteen
dollars or something, but I don't.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
I'm getting quite the collection of boring notes on my nails.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Now, well, this is it's a pink. I wouldn't say that.
That's boring to look at it, even though it's a blush.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
But it's like clear nail pole.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yeah, it is clear, but when you apply it you think, oh,
it's just clear, it's not it blushes.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
Can I borrow it before we go home? I'll go
wash my hands. You can take it back. Oh, yes,
of course, it's okay, wonderful. Well, on that note, we

think maybe eleven, maybe ten. I don't send it, but
it's got an article from me, tips and tricks, great
links and recommendations. So get that in your inbox and
(21:27):
get us in your ears next week when we are back.
Bye bye
