fixed for Wednesday, the twelfth of June. The man who kidnapped,
raped and murdered lower teenager Carla Cardno will have a
number of short releases into the community ahead of a
possible release. Paul Joseph Dally murdered the thirteen year old
in nineteen eighty nine. He dragged her to his house

and tortured her for twenty two hours. Jordan Dunne has more.

Dally appeared before the Parole Board this morning. Whereas lawyer
sought a three month stand down so we could find
an appropriate living situation. He also wanted to complete a

US based DNA experts the latest to give evidence in
the Court of Appeal hearing for Scott Watson. The fifty
two year old's been in jail for nearly twenty five
years for nineteen ninety eight murders of Olivia Hope and
Ben Smart. Strands of what was believed to be Olivia
Hopes heir found on Scott Watson's blanket is a focal

point of his second appeal. Open Justice reporter Katherine Hutton
says the experts stated it was strong, circumstantial evidence, but
not a positive form of identification.

He agreed with Kerry Cock, who's a lawyer for Watson,
that when the prosecutor told the jury at the trial
that the scientific process led to the conclusion that his

convictions quashed after a successful appeal. The thirty six year
