at the NATO Summit this week in Washington, DC. World leaders,

Ukraine is expected to be a key topic at the summit,

The Prime Minister's kicked off his first day in DC
by rubbing shoulders with top Democrats and Republicans. Political editor
Jason Wall says Luxeon's first stop was Capitol Hill.

It is such an honor and a pleasure to welcome
the Prime Minister to the United States Senate. After briefing
the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Luxon met with top Democrat
John Ossif, where the pair discussed ways to strengthen the
US New Zealand relationship. He's also met with top Republicans
and is expected to sit down with Texas Senator Ted
Cruz tomorrow.

Lu San's hoping to schedule time with US President Joe
Biden this week, as well as a meeting with Ukrainian
President Vona de Mezilensky. A belief new proposed changes to
building inspections are long overdue. The government wants to make
remote new home build inspections the default to make construction
quicker and easier. Construction Minister Chris Pink says stats show

it takes an average five hundred and sixty nine days
to build a house and costs have increased forty one
percent since twenty nineteen. Former Master Builders chief executive David
Kelly says remote inspections will be done through an app,
saving a heap of time.

One of the things that's been an ongoing concern, and
holds that productivity is booking for inspections and waiting for
available inspections.

Expectations the Reserve Bank will leave the OCR untouched once again.
The official cash rates been held at five point five
percent the last six times in a row. Many bank
economists believe it will be held again while the Reserve
Bank waits for more evidence inflations falling back towards its
target band of one to three percent. The Reserve Bank
will release its decision at two pm. More than eleven

thousand singers from over forty countries are in Auckland for
the thirteenth World Choir Games. The ten day event opens
today with the ceremony at Spark Arena. It's projected the
event will generate more than ten million dollars in GDP
and nearly sixty seven thousand visitor nights in the region.
Auckland Deputy me and Desley Simpson says it's a huge
win for the city.

is a major event that will bring a lot of
economic benefit to our city, a lot of opportunities for
