news fix for Wednesday, the sixth of November. Unemployment has
risen again. Latest figures from stats end Z show the
unemployment rate has reached four point eight percent in the
September quarter. Michael Sergel has the details.

That figure is up from four point six percent in
the June quarter and well up from three point two
percent in the December twenty twenty one quarter. Economists had
been predicting a rate of between four point nine and
five point one percent, most landing on five expectation is
now building of the Reserve Bank cutting the official cash

be the most heated of the political year. Act Minister
David Seymour's confirmed he'll introduce his controversial Treaty Principles Bill tomorrow.

but Seymour will tomorrow introduce the bill to the House,
meaning the full text of the proposed legislation will be
